Rabbi Schneider - The Meaning of Passover
Shalom beloved, peace to you and Chag Sameach! That means Happy Holiday and the reason I say that is because we are in the Passover season. Whether you're born Jewish or Gentile, Passover is important. Of course to ancient Israel, we celebrate Passover every year and we remember how the LORD delivered Israel out of Egypt 3500 years ago through the blood of the Passover Lamb.
If you're Gentile and you believe in Jesus, Passover is important to you as well because Jesus' last meal with His disciples before going to the cross was a Passover meal. In fact, every time you take communion or the Lord's Supper, you're actually partaking of the Passover. It was the Passover matzah, the Passover bread that Jesus broke, giving it to His disciples saying, "Take and eat! This is My Body broken for you", and it was the Passover wine, which is a part of the Passover Seder, or order of services that Jews all over the world celebrate every year, it was that wine that Jesus took during the Seder, and said, "This is my blood shed for you" in the New Covenant for the forgiveness of sins.
Passover is the oldest and most important feast in the world. It's a feast of freedom and deliverance. Ancient Israel was delivered out of Egypt and brought towards their destiny which eventually landed them in the Promised Land through the blood of the Lamb. You and I today, beloved ones, that believe in Yeshua, whether we are Jews or Gentiles, are brought into our ultimate destiny the Kingdom of Heaven or the Kingdom of God because of the blood of the Lamb.
Three times a year ancient Israel, during the time of the Old Testament and Torah, they would go to Jerusalem and present to the Lord a special offering. The Passover season was one of those times. We've found, beloved ones, that many people that follow us want to present a special offering to the God of Israel during this time. If you'd like to do so, just press the link on the description, or go to our website, DiscoveringTheJewishJesus.com which will give you instructions how you can simply make a Passover offering to the Lord through Discovering the Jewish Jesus during this time.
This is Rabbi Schneider, I wanna say to you I love you, on behalf of our entire ministry team I wanna thank you for your love and for your prayers. And we say to you once again, Chag Sameach, Happy Holiday, and may your next season in the Lord be the fullest and most powerful you've ever experience before.
