Robert Barron - An Easter Greeting
Hi everybody, this is Bishop Barron I want to send a very special greeting out to our whole Word on Fire family: all those people who follow Word on Fire, all of our friends and supporters I just want to wish you a very blessed, a very happy Easter. Easter of course is a day when everything changed, when God showed clearly his victory over sin and death. And that's why we Christians hold up the Cross as a kind of taunt to the world.
The Cross was meant to terrify people and indeed it did in Jesus' time; we hold it up as a taunt to say: Sin and death are not more powerful than God; tyranny and hatred and fear are not more powerful than God. And so we hold up the Cross and we speak this still unnerving truth about the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. With that in our minds and hearts let's really move into the spiritual power of the season and please know that all of us at Word on Fire will be praying for you. Please pray for us. God bless you.
