Rabbi Schneider - Look up! Be Prepared
Well, you can see, my friends, I'm standing right now in a very windy Jerusalem. In fact, I'm right outside Jerusalem on the Mount of Olives. You can see the old city behind me. You see the wall, you see the Temple Mount. And it's an exciting place to be. This is God's city. Jerusalem is called the City of the Great King. And this specific spot, the Mount of Olives, this is where Yeshua ascended to heaven from.
I mean, in flesh and blood, the Word became flesh, walked upon the earth for three and a half years as a man, God clothed in humanity, and then from the Mount of Olives, from somewhere around where I'm standing, He visibly, literally and factually ascended off the ground. The disciples watched in amazement as Yeshua started ascending off the ground that His feet were planted on into the air and He was going up and up and up and as He was going up, their eyes were going up. They were watching, watching, watching, until He was so high they were looking up into the clouds. He disappeared in the clouds and two angels appeared next to the disciples on the ground and said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up into the clouds?"
This Yeshua that's come to you is going to come back in just the same way. That Yeshua that was received up into Heaven from this spot, He's coming back to planet earth and when He returns, the glory of God will first strike this exact location. We read about it in the book of Zechariah chapter 14 that at the Lord's return, the entire sky will turn bright light.
Everybody on the earth will see Him and be transfixed with the glory of God. Everyone will meet their Maker. Some will be received by their Maker into heaven and into everlasting fellowship with Him and be married and joined to Him at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb and others will be consumed with flaming fire. Beloved, you and I need to right now make sure that we're doing our best to be ready. Prepare your heart, beloved one, to meet your Maker. Jesus is coming back for you. And He's coming back soon.
