Rabbi Schneider - Your Keys to Fulfillment
Shalom, beloved. I'm looking today at 1 Peter 1:3, hear the word of God. Peter says, "Seeing that His divine power has granted to us", and I love these next words, "everything pertaining to life and Godliness".
What I love about that is that what Yeshua has given us is everything pertaining to life and Godliness. A lot of people are looking to Yeshua primarily for the things of the world. But the Bible says all the time in the world: the lust of the flesh, the lust to the eyes and the boastful pride of life - that's not from the Father. That's from the world. But what the Father gives us is everlasting love and joy and peace. The promise to fulfill all our true needs. Everything that we need to be happy, and live in victory in this age and the age to come.
So let's be confident, first of all, in God's promise that through Yeshua we've been granted the promise that God has given us everything pertaining to true life, not superficial life, but true life fulfillment, identity, purpose, the things that I've mentioned victory, love, joy, peace, all the fruit of the spirit, all the things that truly fill us up and give our lives meaning. Those things are ours and Him.
Let's believe God for those things. Let's contend for those things. Let's not keep asking, seeking a knocking for those things, because God has promised us that these things are ours in Messiah. So I would encourage you to keep your eyes straight in front of you. Keep seeking for those things that truly pertain to life, because they're yours in Messiah Yeshua.
