Rabbi Schneider - What Is Divine Health?
Welcome today beloved child of God. I'm focusing again today on Romans 8:11. I want to focus specifically today on the ministry of the Spirit of God as it relates to our mortal bodies, to our flesh. The Spirit of the Living God literally is imparting physical health to sustain our mortal bodies. So listen to what Paul writes in Romans 8:11. "But if the Spirit of Him who raised Christ Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit that in dwells you".
What a promise that we can cling to God to walk in divine health. Remember, everywhere Jesus went He preached the gospel and He ministered healing to people, even in their physical bodies. The life of our flesh is the Spirit of God. And the Lord is literally telling us here that we have access to Him by His Spirit to be able to receive from Him the life that will keep our natural bodies healthy. So that if you and I feel like our bodies are getting worn out or we're getting sick, we can literally appeal to God's Spirit who lives inside us to impart life and healing to our mortal flesh. The Scripture says, "By His stripes we are healed".
I want to encourage us all today to recognize we are not alone in this world in any way, shape, or form. God is with us, closer to us than even our next breath. I want to encourage us today, beloved, as God's saints and as God's dear children, to rely on Him for our physical health, to rely on God's Spirit to be imparted to our mortal flesh so that we can live in health, body, soul, and spirit as we're on the earth. God is so great. And the scripture says, "In Him, in Christ Jesus we are complete".
So beloved, let's believe God to be for us who He said He would be. He led the children of Israel out of Egypt, every one of them was healthy. I know that we get sick at times and we struggle at times. But you know what? When we stumble we will not fall because God's resurrected spirit of victory is at work in your life and in my life. Let's trust Him for the health of our bodies.
