Rabbi Schneider - How You Can Have Confidence
Last week on Seeds of Revelation, I concentrated on the fifth verse of the third chapter of Proverbs. I want to continue today by focusing on the sixth verse but let's read the fifth verse too to set the context. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight". So I want to focus today, "In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight".
Now I don't know about you, but we have so many choices in life that we need to make every single day. All day long we are faced with choices. And, for me, I'm faced with a lot of choices and frankly, sometimes I don't know what the right choice is. I could see it going this way, I could see it going that way. I can see the advantages of going this way but then I could see the advantages of that way. I don't know the end from the beginning. So the only thing that gives me peace is if I acknowledge God all throughout my day and ask Him to guide me. So the writer is saying here, acknowledge Him in all your ways and He will make your paths straight. We can't see the end from the beginning. We don't know how it's all going to play out.
So how do we have confidence? How can we be secure? How can we walk in a way where we are not anxious? It's by acknowledging God in all we do. That's why so oftentimes throughout the day I'll just stop and pray. The people that I work with, I gather, we gather together, "let's pray first. Before we begin to film. Let's pray first". Why? Because we want to acknowledge Father in all that we're doing so that the potential of the choice and of the moment can be reached.
So I just want to encourage you, beloved one, today include God in your day in everything. I mean this might sound comical to you but I ask the Lord what clothes to wear every day. I ask the Lord what I should eat at night. I ask the Lord whether I should have dessert or not. I include Him in everything as much as possible and the result is, He makes our paths straight and prospers us. Beloved, God loves you today, He's just waiting for you and I to fully love Him back and include Him 100% in our lives and when we do, the fullness of HaShem's blessing and the fullness of His love will cover us.
