Rabbi Schneider - How to Receive

Rabbi Schneider - How to Receive
TOPICS: Rabbi Schneider: Devotions, Seeds of Revelation

Beloved a Psalm that we're all familiar with, Psalm 23. "The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want. He makes me lie down beside still waters". And I love this next phrase, "He restoreth or He restores my soul". We need to take time to break away from all the busyness of life to simply be in God's creation; because there's something about God's creation. Just being in the outdoors, being out in nature, beloved, the Lord uses it to impart Himself to us. And through it He restores our soul.

You know the Lord told us in the book of Isaiah, "Through quietness and confidence you shall be saved". We need to take time, just be alone with God. You see the beautiful nature I'm in right now. It's not always easy to break away from all the things that we're used to doing, because we're in such a habit of being busy. We're in such a habit of doing, that to stop that cycle, to break away and to just sit before the Lord, to be quiet and to just receive. And through nature, even better often times, there's such a benefit to it beloved, there's such a blessing to it.

I want to encourage you today, make time in your life to simply sit with the Lord in nature. Now we can't always be in places as lush as where I'm at right now, in the woods of Colorado. But maybe there's just a quiet place somewhere in your area that you can just sit where there's trees, maybe there's birds, maybe it's in the winter and there's snow. But just to be in the stillness of God's creation reprograms, it re-calibrates our system to function in a more natural way so that we can receive, beloved ones, more of God's presence, more of Hashem's presence into our soul. I love you. This is Rabbi Schneider saying God bless you, shalom. Pass this on to a friend.
