Rabbi Schneider - A Divine Connection

Rabbi Schneider - A Divine Connection
TOPICS: Rabbi Schneider: Devotions, Seeds of Revelation

Beloved, I'm here in Jerusalem. I'm at the southern steps that led up into the temple. Now the southern steps were the steps that the common person that was coming to present a sacrifice traveled. In fact, they had to go through a ritual mikveh bath and then clothe themselves in white, because they were preparing themselves to offer to the Lord a sacrifice. Perhaps even more thrilling, is the fact that Yeshua taught from these steps. I want to read now from the book of Luke chapter 21, verse 37 and 38. It says, "Each day Jesus was teaching at the temple and each evening He went out to spend the night on the hill called the Mount of Olives. And the people came early in the morning," listen, "to hear Him at the temple".

These steps are often referred to as The Teaching Steps, because Rabbis came here and taught their disciples. Yeshua taught many of His parables from these steps. Can you imagine the people gathering around Yeshua each day, calling Him Rabbi, clothed in the rabbinic anointing, superior to any of the other leading Jewish figures of His day. In fact when people heard Him teach they said, "This man teaches not as our scribes". But they said of Yeshua, "This man teaches as one with authority". The anointing on Yeshua Hamashiach was so powerful, the people, the scripture says, "were astounded". In fact many believe that the church was actually birthed right here.

Often times we think of the upper room as the birthing of the church, but many people believe that the birthing of the church happened right here when Peter preached his sermon. Beloved, this is a powerful place in history and it helps us to understand that Yeshua came as a real human being, that the Son of God, the second person of the Godhead, the one who is without beginning and without end, clothed Himself in humanity.

Once again, as I taught last week, descended to connect as a human being with you and I, so that He could bring us back to God. You see the scriptures teach us that there's one God and one mediator between God and man and that is the Godman, Yeshua Hamashiach, who came as a Jew, who lived as a Jew, died as a Jew, ascended to heaven and He sits in heaven right now as the Lion from the tribe of Judah. Beloved, you're gonna meet soon your Jewish Messiah, Yeshua Hamashiach, King Jesus. This is Rabbi Schneider coming at you live from Jerusalem at the southern steps. God bless you and shalom.
