Michael Youssef - Is Christianity Declining in America?
Now for those who say Christianity is declining, they don't know the history of Christianity. I have in the book, "Saving Christianity" some historical accounts of how this deception goes way back in our culture and our society. People went to church and they heard great positive speakers and preachers, but I think now, in my personal opinion, God is gathering his elect, the faithful ones. Those people who kind of had one foot in the world and one foot in the church. One foot, "Yeah, I'm, a Christian and I'm not..."
Now, the boat is sort of leaving the pier and no longer you can have one foot in one and one in the other. We are seeing the truth about the faithfulness of the remnant. And therefore, that false social Christianity is going by the wayside. And so, people are coming out in the open saying, "Well, I'm not. I'm not religious". And that's fine because I don't care about numbers. God doesn't care about numbers. He cares about heart.
And so, when we say Christianity is declining, that's absolutely not true. It is some people who have never been believers to begin with pretending to be Christians. They gave up their pretense. And now we're seeing the facts, the truth, and that's okay. Because we know that those who love Jesus will always love Jesus no matter what.
