Kenneth Copeland - Plug Into The Word of God to Be Healed
Matthew chapter 15, if you will, please. We're going to be discussing the Syrophoenician woman. Verse 21, Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon. Behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David. Underline that please. My daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she cries after us. But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Then came she and worshipped him. Underline that one. She and worshipped him, saying, Lord, Who? Lord, help me. But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
Underline children's bread. She said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table. Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is your faith. I don't have to tell you to underline that. Be it unto thee even as you will. Look at Matthew 22. Matthew 22:41; While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, Saying, What think ye of Christ? Whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David. What did she say? Oh Lord. Son of David, What essentially did she say? She said, Oh Lord, Messiah. Now somewhere she got some word, somewhere, she was convinced. He is the come Messiah. I'm telling you that put her in the healing chair. You notice he didn't lay hands on her. In fact, he insulted her and she wasn't a least bit touchy. Amen. You know, touchy people can't receive, very difficult for touchy people to receive.
Now there is, like I said, the top is to take his word and apply it. Mark 11:22-23-24 and 25; Have faith in God. Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith will come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. He says, and that's what Abraham was doing, calling things that be not or saying. Then Jesus used that principle. Then he said, therefore I say to you, whatsoever thing you desire, I desire a well body. He gave us the way to receive the desires of our heart right there. Whatsoever thing you desire when you pray, believe that you receive them and you will have them.
But now and, and is a conjunction ties these two sentences together and when you stand praying, forgive if you have ought against any, amen. If your Heavenly Father forgive you your trespasses. Now Jesus demonstrated that in the Lord's prayer. Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. That's kingdom operation. That's just the way it works. But all of that of course are the fundamentals of faith. Well, the fundamentals of faith and the fundamentals of healing are the same. So faith doesn't work in an unforgiving heart. So this morning we're going to get an opportunity to run through our checklists and so forth and check out this Syrophoenician woman and see if we need to plug in there someplace.
Now, then the second is through the word of knowledge or manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit. There's laying on of hands. Amen. So now I want to show you video examples. Of each of these methods of receiving from Jesus. Would you like to see them? All right. I want you to, I want you to see LaShea's testimony first and, and watch how she receives from Jesus.
LASHEA McKINNEY: My name is Evangelist Lashea McKinney. This is my father, Apostle S.E McKinney, and I am his personal assistant. I work with him hand in hand in ministry. We have grown immensely in 33 years. And all of a sudden, my body began to show signs of sickness. And I had ignored it for about a year. Then after a year, I started getting worse, even though I was speaking to my body, but I wasn't seeing any results. And instead of getting better, I was getting worse. So I asked my father, "Okay, what should I do"? He said, "Go on into the hospital and find out what's going on". And that's what I did.
When I got there, I took about two or three of the ladies from the ministry, and we were in the waiting room. They had taken the blood work. I think I stayed there about five hours. And then what happened was, when the doctor came in, he said, "I have good news, and I have bad news". And I said, "The good news is I don't have cancer". And he said, "I can't say that". But long story short, he gave me a piece of paper, and he told me, "This is a doctor I need you to call, a cancer specialist". And I did on that Monday. But when I called, I didn't have the money at that time, I didn't have any insurance. I didn't have the money to get an examination or to even see him.
I got a telephone call from one of our pastor friends who told me that she had already made an appointment for me to go to the Greenville School of Medicine. And when I got there, they diagnosed me with lymphoma cancer. And the doctor said I had only 30 days to live. They had given me a breathing apparatus. They said I was breathing like a 93-year-old woman. My liver was 200 times larger than what it was supposed to be, and so was my spleen. I didn't have the energy or the breath to do anything. I remember walking by the mirror before I laid down, and I saw the shadow of death. And fear gripped my heart, and I knew, by the looks of things, I wasn't going to make it. And instead of fighting, I kind of succumbed to it.
And I remember that day, when I was lying on the couch and he came to me, and he didn't sound too nice. He didn't show any pity because he knew that I was in a fight for my life. And he said, "You're going to die if you don't get up from here". He said, "You're a minister of the Gospel, and you have to know that the devil is fighting you because of what you are doing positive in the kingdom". He said, "Physician, get up and heal yourself". That's exactly what he said. I grabbed my Bible, and I began to walk back and forth. I read something from Gloria Copeland that talked about how we should take the Word like medicine and that we should use it just like we would medicine, and use it three times a day. And if the situation gets worse, to double the dosage. I will never forget that. And that's what I did.
For 28 days (I had 30 days to live now), for 28 days, I walked three times a day, and I got my Bible, and I quoted every scripture, and I prophesied and spoke them over my life. And I didn't feel anything different in 28 days. But at the end of that 28 days, something happened. I don't know what it was, but I knew that faith kicked in. Yes, faith kicked in. And I said, "He was wounded for Lashea's transgressions, He was bruised for Lashea's iniquities, and the chastisement of my peace was on Him. And with those stripes, I am healed". And I knew that day that I was healed. And I had two more days to go.
And at 30th day, I went back to the doctor, and they looked at the exam, and they took X-rays again, and they brought in one specialist, and they brought in two specialists. They kept looking. Five specialists came in that day. I'll never forget it. They were talking among themselves, but I didn't know what they were saying. So finally he came over to me. He said, "This is what it looked like 30 days ago. Where is the cancer? It's not here". We have to understand that the Word of God is for us, that it's not just something out there or something in the Bible. This is a rhema word, and it comes to life when we take it. That's what Gloria always says, like if somebody's giving you a cake, it's not yours until you receive it. Well, the word of healing, it's for us, but we have to receive it. And so it's important for us to take it. And when we do, it becomes life.

KENNETH: All right, praise God. Amen! Did you notice where she crossed over and, and like the apostle said, he said, faith kicked in. Faith came. Faith always comes. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. And it always comes. It is automatic. It is response to the Word. It always comes, but it doesn't come any other way. Well, I thought it came through trials and tribulations. Well, you've been through trials and tribulations. Oh yes. Well has it working out? Uh, well, I keep praying for it, well you can pray for dooms day. And Jesus didn't say that. Nobody said that in the Word of God. Faith doesn't come by praying. It's the way the system works. Amen.
It is spiritual law. It's predictable and dependable. Amen. The law of gravity doesn't work one way or the other because you feel one way or the other. It works the same all the time. It works for everybody. You never got up some morning there was a gravity alert on television. All children that way, under 50 pounds need a wear a gravity belt today. But Brother Copeland, that's ridiculous. It's just as ridiculous to say that faith comes through tragedy. No, it comes by hearing and hearing and hearing and hearing and hearing and hearing by the Word of God. All right, now watch this one.

KENNETH: Hallelujah, Glory to God. Many of you are already receiving online. Many receiving glory to God. There's no time or distance in the realm of the Spirit. Now, Jesus proved that with the Syrophoenician woman, he said go on a home. Your daughter's healed. Well, she got home and the daughter was well, see the Word of God healed her. The Word of God healed her, the Word of God healed LaShea McKinney, the Word of God. The Word of God healed. Amen. He sent his Word and healed them and delivered them from their destructions.
