Kenneth Copeland - Keep Your Eyes on God's WORD for Healing
Let's go to the 10th chapter of the book of Luke. Luke, Chapter ten. "After these things the Lord appointed," one translation said, "after these things, the Lord ordained other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves. Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way" or stay focused. "And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again".
Now what does that mean? You come in there... you want to stay in this house and you say peace be unto this house and it bounces back at you. What's happening there? There's strife in that house. Get out of there. You don't stay with people while they're fussing. I've never had that happen to me. But I've had it... The Spirit of it, in certain places. I had a man, doctor Avery walked up to me with a big smile on his face. "Brother Copeland", he said, "I've never heard anybody rape the Scriptures like you did tonight in my life" and turned around and walked off. You talk about something hurtful.
Well, now that he said it, it's in there. And it's going over and over. And I got to thinking about all the things I could have said to him. And the more I thought of the matter, I want to run him down and whip him, because he stomped on my spirit. But that's when the Lord taught me how to go over there and get rid of it. Naw, bless his heart he's just spouting off at the mouth. But he did call it the Scriptures. So what do you do? I say, "Oh, Lord, I forgive him. He's just a little baby, he doesn't know what he's talking about, I just forgive him. I just surround him with faith and love thoughts". And just start saying, "Oh, Lord, I wish I knew his name. I love him because you love him".
And that thought comes up, ah no, no, I don't touch that in my thought life. Nope, nope. And every time that comes up. No, no, no. I forgive him. I forgive him. I forgive him. I forgive him. I forgive him. And it would just get out. And then I realize, that's his problem, not mine. So I'm not going to let his problem work on me and become my problem because he's already forgotten about it. And I'm no use for me hanging on to it for two or three years and getting madder and madder and sicker and sicker on account of what he did. Cause I know the spirit that was behind it. And back in those days, I began to learn things about that, and the Lord started bringing these things up. And in a time of extended prayer, the Word of the Lord came to me and he said, "Kenneth, I can't expand your ministry anymore".
I thought Lord, why? Well, he said, "You're too quick and high tempered". And he brought that up. It made me mad when he said, I mean, it just got all over me when he said that. And I wasn't as sweet and kind as I am now either. But and here's what I heard. Don't read anything in print about yourself, any longer. Tell your staff, don't bring you things. Don't bring your books about you. Don't read it. Not only the bad stuff, don't read the good stuff. He said, "You have a tendency to believe that". And he said, "You leave that with me," and I used to, you know, I read the newspaper and all that, I haven't read one since. I was going to fast, this was when we were in Tulsa, for seven days and that was it. I haven't read one since. I have to be cautious about what they bring me on social media. Because that's part of it.
Now, on a special occasion or something, you know, like a birthday or Gloria's birthday or something, that's fine. But I don't have anything to do with that social media. We ministered through it, but I'm not subjecting myself to it. I sure don't want to get in the habit of it. Well, I wonder what they're saying. I don't want to know what you're saying on social media... That is social media and it's a form of socialism. And it will become such a habit that it'll mess you up because somebody will sneak in there and call you an ugly and then... it's so strong that children are committing suicide over it. People are sick because of it. Today's my receiving day.
Now, let's go over here and look at Proverbs 4. "Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding. For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law. For I was my father's son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother. He taught me also..." Oh, that sounds like my family. My dad was a very wise man. Still is, he's just in heaven. "He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live. Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Exalt her, and she shall promote thee:"
Wow... You're looking for a promotion? Amen. "Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her. She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee. Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many". Ha ha ha ha. Hear my saying for the years of your life shall be many. Remember... What does that mean? You have to go back where it was first mentioned by God. The days of man shall be 120 years. So that's what many is, not 70 or 80. God didn't say it's 70 or 80. I'm thinking about a situation right now where there was a large meeting going on in this country and there's a small country that's been practicing the gifts of the Spirit, generation after generation after generation after generation after generation after generation without interruption.
And they deemed, the church deemed that they needed to send their prophet as an ambassador. So he came and he spoke English by faith, not in tongues. And they said he stumbled around a little bit, but wasn't long. That is development of the Prophet's ministry. And this is what the Lord said to me. He said, "My men and women are dying young enough where I don't have time to develop it over the years". And he said this for what I want you to do. You can do it. I can do it. Well, anyway, so we're right here in this. We're talking about wisdom and understanding. And years of your life have been many.
"I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths. When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble. Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life. Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away. For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall. For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence. But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more..." The Amplified says, it gets brighter and brighter and brighter, the shining light. "The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble. My son, attend to my words;"
See how all that fit. That's where it is. It's in the words, well we have the same words that... we have the same words. There they are. And here we are, thousands and thousands and thousands of years later. And for thousands and thousands and thousands of years, this has been working. And we have it. Now, may I remind you of something? The one doing the speaking and the son hearing were circumcised on the eighth day, there's blood behind those words. And it didn't start, it was the Spirit of God that was giving the wisdom. Hallelujah. And the Bible says, it doesn't say wisdom is hidden from us. It says wisdom is hidden for us. Glory to God. Thank You, Jesus.
Lung problems right up in that area, right there above 212 and 211. All different kinds of things in the lungs are being healed, praise God and someone, there's someone, seems like to me in the Spirit right over in here that you're praying for someone at home that has lung situations and chest things and heart problems. It's flowing all over this thing. And last night and when those angels moved across in here and over in here, just a concentration of healing and peacefulness, just peacefulness all through that whole area. There's a lot of demonic activity in this country right now. And no, I don't have to point out things. You know what they are. But do you know the Word on it. Okay. Oh, yeah.
All right. Hold your place there and turn to the book of Jeremiah, and we'll look here in the third chapter. Now, understand, this is the Spirit of God speaking. And speaking of the nation of Israel. "They say, If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man's, shall he return unto her again? Shall not that land be greatly polluted? But thou hast played the harlot with many lovers; yet return again to me, saith the Lord. Lift up thine eyes unto the high places, and see where thou hast not been lien with. In the ways hast thou sat for them, as the Arabian in the wilderness; and thou hast polluted the land with thy whoredoms and with thy wickedness. Therefore the showers have been withholden, and there hath been no latter rain; and thou hadst a whore's forehead, thou refusedst to be ashamed".
Now you wonder why there's so much unruly weather going on in this country right now and why there's a drought in this part of the country. Well, it has to do with localized stuff and all that. But the Lord pointed out to me a long time ago, he said, if you're in Israel, you point at Jerusalem, and if you're in the United States, you point to Washington, D.C. Well, say what you will. So what do you say? I forgive and I declare mercy. And let's go back where we were now in the Proverbs. And four, "My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings".
What does that mean? I'm inclined to hear that, there's a lot of other stuff that's being said here. I'm inclined to believe that. What does incline mean? Oh, always say, Jesus, what your words say, Oh, what? I don't want hear that... I want to hear this. I incline my ear to those sayings and I incline my ear to those sayings until they're there all the time. But now here's a key to it also. Let them not depart from your eyes. Now, let's get into that this morning. What does that mean? Begin to see yourself with it, begin the imagination of your mind. I see myself with this. I see myself driving that. I see myself living in that. I see myself well. I see myself up and going. I see myself.
There was a woman that sent in her testimony and she was bound to a chair. I want to get over here. And she began to see herself. She said it was really hard to do for a while, but she just shut her eyes and says, "I see myself getting up. I see myself. It didn't soon happen just like that". But she did it and she did it. And she put that scripture up. She put it where she could see it and she read it and she read it and she read it and she read it and she came to Healing School. And then she really got into it. And so when she got back home, she rolled herself out in the street. She got her a rock and she got up and went as far as she could and put her rock there.
Got back in the chair and rolled in the house, praying in the Spirit and you're going, she see herself, I see myself walking all over the neighborhood. Got the rock... every day. Every day, day after day, week after week, week after week. There came a day, one day when she picked up that rock and she just walked off. We were in Healing School. There was a woman in a chair. And I was talking about some of the things I had witnessed that, you know, with Brother Roberts and I walked over there to her and laid hands on her. And I said, "It's not going to be long until that chair is a thing of the past".
I turned around, she got up and followed me, and she was kind of like this for a little bit. And then she got kind of sassy and here she came. But now here was her testimony. She said, "I told my sister and I told my friend, 'If you get me over there at that Healing School, I'm going to walk today'" because she'd been after this and after this and after this and after this, a long, long time. I have a witness. Tracy Harris was there and then he followed them back in the back there. And she was doing great, wasn't she? Yeah, she just, yeah, he said, she was walking normal and Tracy told her he said, "Don't you get back in that chair. You put that thing in the trunk of the car".
Oh yeah. Tracy said they tried to put her back in it rolled her to the car and no, no, don't be doing that. In St Louis, the woman had braces all over her, and Lord help me, I'm trying to remember her name. Yeah, Kathy Bruce, Thank you. Was that Kathy Bruce who said that? Oh, no it was my encyclopedia here. My daughter Terri, she remembers everything, anyway, and she just started pulling those braces off up on the stage. And she pulled herself up by the curtain and pulled her and just staggered.
Somebody said, "We should help", I said, "Let her alone". And she finally walked. Well, I found out they came with some more people in a bus. They couldn't get her in the bus. She wouldn't get in. She wanted to go alongside that bus, like to never got her in the bus. And then the next time, standing right there, five inch spike heels. She had braces from here down. Here we go. "Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health..." the cross reference says medicine "to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life".
