Kenneth Copeland - Follow the Commander In Chief's Plan For a Long Life
TOPICS: God's Word, Faith, Long Life

Welcome everybody. Here it is Friday. Praise God. And we're glad you're with us. The Lord has been leading us and guiding us. We're still talking about the healing ministry here. And all of these things have effect in the lives and in the health. One great healing prayer. "Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven". Is there any sickness in Heaven? Of course not. It's not allowed there. That's the greatest healing prayer you've ever read. Amen. So now we turn to the 90th Psalm. Moses wrote the 90th and the 91st Psalm. A prayer of Moses, the man of God.

"For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night. Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up. In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth. For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled. Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance. For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told. The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Who knoweth the power of thine anger"?

That's where the 70 or 80 came from. God wasn't promising anybody 70 or 80 years. It's been mistaken. You can find that in numbers 14, 26 through 35. That's where it happened. We won't take time to turn there today. But then he continued with the 91st Psalm. "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of Shaddai. I will say of the Lord," Now, this is Moses talking. I will say of the Lord... This is what they've been saying. "I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust". Look at the 16th verse, "With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation".

That's Moses. With long live, I'll satisfy him and show him my salvation. He was a meek man, but he got mad and he disobeyed God. He was supposed to have used his voice and speak to that rock and bring water. He got mad. He lost his meekness and he got mad at them. He was actually striking them when he struck that rock. The water came out, but the Lord told him, you will not see the Promise Land. Climb Mount Nebo and look, he climbed it at 120 years old. God sustained him and saw it and he died. I won't go into the rest of that. But now go back to Genesis 6:3. Now this is what God said. We won't take time to read this other things... You do. You take time to read it. Verse 32, "And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth".

That's extremely important. Extremely important. "And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the Lord said," The Lord said. Who said? The Lord said, "My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh". The New Living says, "He is only flesh". He's not born again. He's a spirit being, but he's only flesh. "Yet his days shall be 120 years". God said that.

Now the Lord kept talking to me and dealing with me about these things. And over a period of months and months and months, I heard Keith Moore ministering concerning it. And he kept talking about it and thinking about it and talking about it and questioning it. But then I began to realize, when you go over to the book of... that's in Genesis, right. Six... there's a lot of time there, but not very long in the book. Now you go to Leviticus, to the food laws. They're based on 120 years. They were laws. They're not laws to us. They are to me because I'm committed. Amen. Well, Brother Copeland, you know, I really like my bacon. Well you can eat pig if you want to, it's been cursed. You don't know how bacon tastes. You don't know how ham tastes. All you taste is the seasonings.

Now if you taste one that hadn't been seasoned, it is bland and kind of slimy. And when I think back at my grandfather's table and they had a slop bucket. Did you hear what I said? A slop bucket and all the leftovers. Just long as there was no metal in it, it didn't make any difference what it was. You shove it off of the table in that slop bucket and you feed it to the hogs, and they don't care what it is. They're hogs, they eat, they have a cloven foot. But they are scavengers. They eat nasty stuff. A deer won't eat anything but certain things. A cow won't eat anything but certain hays and grass, a hog will eat anything. He's the garbage. You can prove it, there's turkey bacon. There's turkey ham. It's the seasoning, not the meat. You couldn't feed pig to me with your stomach. All I have to do is read the Book.

Now, I'm not telling you what to do. Yeah... You're a student here. I'm telling you what to do. That is if you want to live long and not ever be sick. I haven't been sick in so long. I had to think back... right there during COVID one night. I never did... I went to bed feeling great. And, I don't know, Gloria tried to wake me up or something and I was so sound asleep. And I remember I was in a dream and finally got me awake. Well, and of course, she called Dr. Weeter and he came over and woke me up good. And I wondered why they woke me up. But then I remembered it was right after the first time on my treadmill that I had pushed it far enough to pass that Bruce protocol for 9 minutes. I mean, I pushed it to the hilt and I was in such a deep sleep they had to shake me and wake me up, and they said I had a little fever. It could have been that virus. I could care less either way.

I went on back to sleep and the next morning got up, was well and went right on back. The last time I had any flu symptoms was sitting right here in the Ministers Conference in 2019. Jerry Savelle was preaching and I was sitting right here and I started chilling and started hurting around behind my eyes. I said, "You can't put that on me, you know you can't put that on me. In the name of Jesus get..." About 15 minutes it was gone. Now, there were others in that same service at the same time that got really sick. That was it... last time. And there will not be another time because I stay loaded up on a lot of vitamin C, morning and night and stay well. The first thing I stay loaded up on is the Word of Faith. Hallelujah. I said the Word of Faith.

So now let's go to the 10th chapter of the book of Romans, whew, we're going to get there. Yes. Hallelujah. Thank You, Jesus. Faith speaks, do you know that? In the 10th chapter of Romans. "For Moses describeth the right standing with God which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them. But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh, the righteousness which is of faith speaketh". What is faith? All right, let's get the real definition of faith. Now, I want to put it up on the screen. Hebrews 11:1 in the Classic Amplified. Now, look at this. Now, when? "Now faith is the assurance, the confirmation, the title deed of the things we hope for, being the proof of things we do not see and the conviction of their reality, faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses". Give the Lord a praise. Glory to God.

It is the invisible creative force of Almighty God. The Spirit of God was moving up on the face of the deep and God said, "Light be and light was". That's the base foundation of this college. And you will be held responsible for scattering it all over the world. You will be responsible for helping us keep this institution based on that and not some other weird idea. Whew, glory to God. Thank You Jesus. "Who shall descend into the deep? That is, to bring up Christ again from the dead. But what saith it? The Word is nigh thee, even in your mouth, and in your heart: that is, the Word of Faith, which we preach;" We didn't come up with that. He did by the Spirit of the Living God.

"If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved". Sozo, saved, healed, made sound. "For with the heart man believeth unto right standing with God. and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith," what? "The scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed"? They can't. "How shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? How then shall they call on him and whom they have not believe? How shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher"?

That's a witness is born again, to call to preach and witness to these very thing. Glory to God, I'm stirred up as you can tell. "And how shall they preach, except they be sent? As it is written, 'How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!' But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah saith, 'Lord, who hath believed our report?'"

So then, so then, so then, so then faith comes by hearing and hearing and hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Faith comes by hearing the words of the Anointed One. Faith comes by hearing the Christ, faith comes, faith can't help but come. You have more faith this morning than you had yesterday. You had more faith yesterday than you did the day before because you're studying it. But today you're hearing it. And I am held responsible by the Spirit of God whose I am and whom I serve to share with you the victories and the failures of my life. Amen. As they come up in my spirit, I'm held responsible for this. Amen. The miserable things I've done. Hallelujah. But I had a helpmate, and she was always there.

Now one of the most foolish things I ever did was just preach all the time, preached myself to exhaustion twice. And because of it, there's a pacemaker on my heart. When they put me in to check why there was A-fib. My heartbeat was just too rapid, when they checked it, it wasn't a blood problem. I had one blocked artery and it had bypassed itself. It was not that... I didn't need a stent. I didn't need anything. What had happened? So much stress on my heart preaching night and day, night and day, day and night, committing myself in the pulpit to do something, and then under the anointing and then get off and say, "What have I done? Now, we're going to have to do that..."

Stress. I was too heavy, stress, pulling, pushing all that weight. Well, I'm in the best physical condition I have ever been in in my life at 86 years old. I am not bragging on me because I liked to kill myself. I am bragging on Jesus. The questions he asked me. Will you get your spirit in the best condition it can possibly be in. That was part of the requirements back in 1980, and I was nowhere near in this kind of condition. I had to agree to it. But here we are. Hallelujah. And where did the term Jesus is Lord come from? And why do I say it so much? It came while I was a student at Oral Roberts University, reading and studying the world. No man says Jesus. No man can call Jesus cursed. No man can say Jesus is Lord saved by the Holy Ghost. Jesus is Lord. Yeah. Oh, yeah.

I just wrote it on my book covers and I had a little cards made with Jesus is Lord, I just started saying about everything Jesus is Lord over me. Jesus is Lord over my house. He's Lord over my country. He's Lord of all. He is, Lord. He is my Lord. He is my life. He is Lord, He is Lord, Jesus is Lord. I said it and wrote it and did everything so that every time I think I just say, "Well, Jesus is Lord over that, praise God forevermore". Where did the victory come from? That was in a little panhandle town of Herford, Texas. Three week meeting, had my outlines on the bed there in front of me. And then I said, "Lord, do I start this meeting here," wound up being there three weeks and "Do I start this with salvation and the baptism of the Holy Ghost"?

I had healing, had it all laid out there, and I was on my knees in front of the bed and had my outlines laid out there and it came up in me. Is there victory in the new birth? Victory over the grave. He said, "Is there victory in the baptism of the Holy Spirit"? Well, absolutely. You step over into the supernatural, then there's victory for a believer. I said, "Yes". He said, "How did you get victory, what did you learn"? I said, "Well, I have to be careful with what I say". He said, "Every believer has a voice and it's the Voice of Victory".

That's where it came from. That's way yonder back. So I began right then on that. This is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. Hallelujah. And I am held responsible to share all of these things with you. And then you're responsible after that. And what you do at the breakfast table is your business. But you found out what I do in mine. My breakfast consists of ground golden flaxseed and a little Stevia and a little chocolate almond milk. I don't know how they milk an almond, but anyway, and then a yogurt based bowl of fruit that has a little Stevia in it. And we're out of time and we'll be back in just a moment. Hallelujah. Thank You, Lord Jesus.
