John Bradshaw - That's Weakness, Not Strength
We call it "flying off the handle," "freaking out," "going off the deep end," "going nuts," "going ballistic," "going postal". We say someone "flipped," "lost it," "kicked off," "went off," but what we're describing is weakness, not strength.
Strength is demonstrated by the depth of emotions you control, not by how spectacular an eruption you can create. Solomon wrote, "He who was slow to wrath has great understanding, but he who is impulsive exalts folly." Proverbs 14:29.
Moses' anger prevented him from entering the promised land, and you'd have to think any number of people are going to find out their anger did the same for them.
Moments of anger can creep up on you, so you want to be prepared by having surrendered. For some people anger is as predictable as Old Faithful. Slow to wrath, that's what God can do in your life if you'll let Him. I'm John Bradshaw for It Is Written.
