Toure Roberts - The God of Opportunities
TOPICS: Opportunities

This sermon on Mark 5:24–34 tells the story of the woman with the issue of blood who, after years of failed attempts, desperately touches Jesus' garment and is instantly healed. The preacher’s main point is that God, the God of Opportunities, has already finished His work and placed every miracle in creation—He answers prayers not with direct handouts but by providing opportunities that we must seize with faith to co-create the breakthrough. The conclusion urges believers to shift from hoping for miracles to actively seeking and converting God-given opportunities, becoming «opportunists» who focus through crowds of doubt to access what’s already theirs.

Opening and Scripture Reading from Mark 5

I’ve got a word for you, and I want to just jump right into it. I want to draw your attention to Mark chapter 5. It’s not an unfamiliar passage of Scripture; you’ve heard it preached before. Mark chapter 5, beginning in verse 24, reads like this: «So Jesus went with him, and a great multitude followed him and thronged him. Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had tried all kinds of stuff, had spent all that she had, and was no better but rather grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came behind him in the crowd and touched his garment. For she said, 'If only I may touch his clothes, I shall be made well.'»

You may have heard in the old King James: «If I can just touch the hem of His garment, » right? So she touches him. She comes up from behind him, touches him, and the word says, «And immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.» And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself — oh, I never saw that before! It says immediately, when she does this, immediately the fountain dries up, and Jesus immediately knows that power has gone out of him. Wow! This moment — I feel the Holy Ghost! — whoo! I got an immediate moment where you touch God, and God touches you. I wonder if there are some people in this house today, and you’re going to have an immediate moment.

Did anybody come to touch God so that God can touch you right back and change your life? I can’t do that; I can’t do it; I can’t do it; I can’t do it. And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that power had gone out of him, turned around in the crowd and said, «Who touched my clothes?» But his disciples said to him, «You see the multitude thronging you, and you say, 'Who touched me? ' That’s silly!» And Jesus says he looked around to see her who had done this thing. But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Jesus and told him the whole truth. And he said to her, «Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be healed of your affliction.»

The God of Opportunities

I want to talk to you from this thought today: The God of Opportunities. The God of Opportunities. Father, thank you so much for this moment that you have allowed all of us, Lord, to be in. We love you; we don’t take it for granted, the ability, and even, Lord, the mindset to come into your house. God, I thank you for your rich and radical love for everyone under the sound of my voice even right now. You love them with a never-ending, unfailing, everlasting love. You know the thoughts you think towards them — thoughts of shalom and not of evil. You know the plans you have for them — plans to prosper them and not to harm them, to give them a future and a hope. Father, I pray that today, today in this time, you would prosper them; you would prosper their souls; you would prosper their minds; you would prosper their hearts. I thank you for the spirit of wisdom and revelation and insight and knowledge that you’re going to do a great work in. In Jesus' name, Amen. Amen.

God bless you! Do me a favor; greet somebody! Greet somebody before you take your seat. Thank you so much. Thank you so much! And Roosevelt, I want you to rock with me when it’s time, sir. Roosevelt, rock with me when it’s time! Hallelujah! Don’t we thank God for our worship team? Come on, from LA to Denver, just wow! Just an incredible, incredible company of Levites!

Praying for Opportunities Instead of Miracles

You know, God has recently had me praying differently. I don’t pray for miracles anymore. I don’t pray for miracles in the sense of «God, send me a miracle.» What I pray now is, «God, reveal to me the opportunity that the miracle is hidden in.» I feel the Holy Spirit! God oftentimes answers us not by manifestation but by opportunity. Are you tracking with me? Sometimes we are waiting for God to give us a handout, but the reality of it is, the only thing that God hands out are opportunities. Are you tracking with me? So what you need and what you are looking for, even now, is hidden in an opportunity.

Why is it like that? It’s like that because you and I were created to be creators. We were created to be co-laborers with God. In other words, it’s not «God, give me this blessing.» It is «God, show me the miracle in the opportunity!» Are you tracking with me? Some of you right now need to pray for God to reveal the opportunity that he has predestined and preordained to bring you into his promise.

Can I teach today? I want to teach today! We got a lot of ground to cover; we got a lot of ground to cover. God meets needs via opportunities. When you think about the principle of faith, even the people of faith itself, the Bible says that by grace we are saved through faith. So grace is an opportunity; our faith is what we use to engage that opportunity to get what he predetermined. I feel the Holy Spirit. I think that some in this room, some watching via livestream, might be looking in the wrong place. You’re looking for the manifestation; you need to be looking for the opportunity because you and God are going to partner together to bring this thing to pass. He is the God of opportunities, of opportunities, of opportunities!

God’s Rest and the Ecosystem of Opportunities

I’ve been praying differently. I’m thinking about when God, if you study Genesis chapter 2 — and I didn’t, I don’t think I gave it to the staff, but it’s really, I may have given it to the staff. I don’t know. But Genesis chapter 2, I want to show you something. It deals with creation. After God creates everything — he creates the universe; he creates the heavens and the earth, and he creates the plants and the animals, and he creates the humans. He gives them everything; the trees have seeds within themselves, creating an ecosystem that would perpetually continue to create. That’s all in Genesis chapter 1, and in Genesis chapter 2 it says that God rests.

Let’s look at it real quick; I want to show you something heavy. He says in Genesis chapter 2, verses 1 through 3, «Thus the heavens and the earth and all the host of them were finished.» Done! «And on the seventh day, God ended his work which he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it because in it he rested from all his work which God had created and made.» That’s kind of heavy! What if it were the case that God is not going to do anything else? Stay with me, somebody! I just got depressed right there. No, this is good news, actually! What if it’s the case that God is not going to do anything else? What if he has already done everything, and you and I just have to mine out the opportunities that exist in the world we are in that will manifest what he has already done?

If you look at Genesis, it’s interesting! It says that he does all of his creating, then he gives seed — the trees bearing seed, the fruit bearing seed, humans carrying seed. And then he rests. Why does he rest? Why is he so satisfied to no longer work and rest? He is satisfied to no longer work and rest because he has set in motion a divine ecosystem with opportunities. And if his sons and daughters will lay hold of the opportunities that are there, instead of whining and complaining, they would say, «God, I know that you’ve already gone ahead of me and made my crooked path straight. Will you just lead me to the opportunity?»

One of the things I’m learning about God is that if you ask God for a table, he does not give you a table; he gives you wood. If you ask God for a chair, God does not give you a chair; he gives you cedar. Because we were created in the image of God, it means that you and I functioning in our optimum capacity is you and I creating something, not just receiving something.

So, in this world, in this earth, I feel God! Some of you, the solution that you’re looking for is hidden in an opportunity, and you bypass opportunities looking for the solution, not realizing that it’s in the opportunity! Faith in and of itself is a perfect example of it. If you study Hebrews chapter 11, where it talks about the heroes of faith and all the things that these men and women of God were able to accomplish, it tells us in two words how they were able to accomplish it: «By faith.»

So God will present them with an opportunity, like a word or circumstance or relationship or something, and then their faith was their engagement in the opportunity. Feel the Holy Spirit! Your faith is your engagement in the opportunity. And so when your faith engages the opportunity, it manifests what God had already set in motion before he finally, on the seventh day, rested and said, «I don’t have to do any more because I’ve already placed out there in the universe everything that you will need — every healing, every breakthrough, every miracle, every restoration.» I’ve already put it out there, so your miracle is hidden in an opportunity. That’s why the Bible is so hard on laziness!

Hey, just look straight ahead! The Scriptures are extremely hard on laziness because laziness will keep you from what God promised you. It’s not that it doesn’t exist; it is there. Laziness is not cute! I’m digressing; it’s not in my notes, but this is for somebody. And we have these little dressed-up terms for laziness: «I just procrastinate, and it’s so cute!» It seems so innocent: «I’m a procrastinator.» But procrastination seems so cute and fluffy, but it is not! If you procrastinate, you cannot procreate! What God has for you, you’ve got to co-labor with God and co-create with God!

In studying the Bible, he’s hard on lazy people! He loves everybody, but he’s hard on them. The guy with the talents — you remember this story in Matthew 25? Study it when you get a chance! The guy with five talents, another guy with two talents, and the guy who hid his one talent, right? The five worked his five; ten multiplied — boom! It’s wonderful! The two guys took his two and worked his two, right? The one guy took it, and he hid it! He didn’t do anything with his opportunity; he hides it, he buries it. God rose up on him, calls him a wicked and lazy servant.

In other words, family, what I’m getting at, and we’ve got much further to go, but what I’m getting at is that God has already set in motion solutions for what might presently be grieving you, and it’s hidden in this thing called an opportunity because God is the God of opportunities! Hallelujah!

The Woman’s Desperation Turns to Determination

So this woman — this woman! If we go back to verse 25, I love it! This woman — it says, first of all, «Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years and had suffered many things from many physicians. She spent all that she had and was no better but rather grew worse.» When she heard about Jesus, she came behind him in the crowd and touched his garment. There had to be some — how this woman got really desperate! Oh, hallelujah! I mean, she had been through so much. She had tried a whole bunch of stuff, and not only did those things not work, but her situation actually got worse. Can you imagine that? You’re already in a helpless place, a helpless situation; you’re in a place of need, and you go to all — you take all these routes.

There’s somebody in this room; that’s somebody now! You’ve taken all these routes. You’ve tried all these things to try to get yourself together, and not only were you unable to get yourself together, if you’re honest, you got worse. Why? Because of the energy you put into those things that did not profit you. You would have done better by not pursuing some of the things that you thought your miracle, your healing, your blessing, your prosperity, or your breakthrough was in! You would have done better just sitting in your situation.

But I feel God! Because you invested in profitless things, in unprofitable things, you were actually now worse off than you were before! Not that the disease worsened, but the creative ability that you could have been using to seek out the opportunity that would have gotten you the miracle was now expended upon that which was not profitable. Are you tracking with me? So she found herself in this place, and she got desperate, and somehow, this woman comes to a place, perhaps through her failure of not experiencing any progress, where she begins to say to herself, «I believe that there is grace in my life!»

And I believe — she got to this place; I want to say this right! She got to this place where almost something switched. She switched; something in her head snapped, and she went from being this desperate person out there trying everything, to now that her back is up against the wall. She has this determination that what God has for her is for her; it is out there, and all she has to do is find the right opportunity!

And then here comes Jesus. The Bible says that she hears that Jesus is coming! She had become an opportunist. Now, we don’t like that term because that term has a negative connotation to it, but I’m going to tell you right now, if you are going to lay hold of everything that God has for you, you are going to have to become an opportunist — one who seeks out the opportunity of God! I’m not talking about a manipulator; I’m not talking about you trying to drum up your own opportunity. I’m talking about a consciousness that says, «What God has for me is for me! What God has promised me is out there! I am in need of an opportunity; I am seeking out my opportunity! And I hear that God is near, just like he’s near in this room right now! I hear that God is near, and I am seeking the opportunity that’s going to break this yoke off my life! I’m seeking the opportunity that’s going to bring healing to my body! I’m seeking this opportunity that’s going to heal my heart! I’m seeking opportunities!»

Turn to your neighbor and say, «I’m an opportunist!» Come on, «I’m an opportunist! Yes, I am! I’m shamelessly an opportunist!» I love this woman! She goes from being desperate to an opportunist! Hallelujah! God, you don’t have to give me the miracle; just give me an opportunity!

«God, you don’t have to give me a million dollars; just give me a brilliant idea! God, you don’t have to give me the spouse; just make me the spouse I need to be so that I can attract! Just give me an opportunity!» I feel the Holy Spirit! She was like, «Just give me a shot!» I feel that right there! I don’t need you to do it for me; just give me an opportunity!

I believe you’ve already done it! God, will you just open the door for me? Isn’t that what Paul said? He said, «A great door has been opened up to me, an opportunity and an effectual door!» I feel that for some of you, and I’m going to create over all of you that there’s an opportunity out there! You need to look for the opportunity! Stop looking for the thing and start looking for the thing that leads to the thing that leads to the thing that leads to the thing! It is in an opportunity that God moves!

God as the Door Opener

It’s an opening! Oh, we’re going to have fun today! It’s an opening! God moves! It’s an opening! Oh, it’s an opening! Everything you need is in the opening! It’s an open door! He says, «Behold, I will open doors that no man can shut!» He’s talking about opportunities! «I will open doors! I will open the door for you! Something! I will open up a door, a window in heaven! I will open up something!» You were trying to figure out how it’s going to happen — hey, God is saying, «I’m going to open up a door!»

I feel God! I feel God! I’m going to open the door for you! Even the principle of the tithe says, «Bring your tithes and your offerings into the storehouse that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, » says the Lord, «and see if I will not open up a window of heaven and pour out such blessing that you won’t have room to receive!»

When I recognize that I serve a God who opens things up for me! I feel it! Do me a favor; high-five somebody and say, «The door is open! The door! The door is open! The door is open! The door is open! The door! The door! The door! I felt God! The door! The door! The door is open! The door is open! The door is open! The door is open! The door! The door! The door is open!»

That’s how it’s going to happen! I open doors! I open doors that no man can shut! They be trying! Oh, they may be trying to shut the door! I feel God! Well, you have favor on your life! And we love all of our haters, God bless the haters! We love — oh, we love our haters! Oh, they’re so good! They are so affirming! Haters are so affirming and so reassuring! Because they wouldn’t hate you if you didn’t have favor on you! Come on, somebody! You wouldn’t have trouble if there wasn’t favor on you!

I’ve seen it; I’ve experienced it, where God will open the door for me! He doesn’t — they be scrambling trying to close it with all their might and all this strength! Bending their knees trying to close it! Come on, somebody! «Help me close this door!» And God says, «Not going to work!» Because I open doors that nobody can shut!

From my beloved, I feel it; there’s an opportunity! There’s an opportunity over you right now! There’s an opportunity! There’s an opportunity! An opportunity! An opportunity — an open door opportunity! Let’s keep going! Let’s go further! There’s an opportunity! He’s the God of opportunities! I want you to see it differently!

I don’t want you to be looking for stuff; I want you to be looking for open doors! And sometimes the open door is a small door! Sometimes the open door is not a glamorous door! I feel the Holy Ghost! Sometimes the open door is not this beautiful gold inlaid diamond and pearl door; sometimes it’s a raggedy looking door, barely on the hinges! It doesn’t look like much — but it’s open!

Sometimes the door — you’ve got to humble yourself to walk through! I feel the Holy Spirit of God! You’ve got to pray so that you will know how to recognize a real door! Are you tracking with me? We’ve got to keep going! We’ve got to keep going! This woman, this certain woman! I love her! I love her! This woman — she threw her failure! She thought to herself: «I don’t have to take this!»

She got to a point where she said, «I don’t have to take life as it is.» And sometimes you need to get your back up against the wall a little bit because there is a fight in you that has to be stirred up! You’re too nice to your problems! You’re too nice to your needs! You’re too nice to your opposition! But every once in a while, you get stripped down enough; you get pushed back up against the wall one too many times — and all of a sudden there is a lion on the inside of you!

You have been showing everybody the lamb, and they thought you were a lamb! But they push you one too many times, and now all of a sudden, you open your mouth, and a roar comes out! Do I have any lions in God’s house? Come on, LA! Where are my lions? If there’s a need that you have, I dare you to stop being nice! Don’t worry about who’s looking! Let me hear a roar!

There it is! There it is! This woman — this woman, this certain woman! She went loco! She went loco! She looked at hell, and she said, «No!» She went loco! I’ve spent all my money! I wasted my time! I’ve wasted my energy! And all I got — all I’ve gotten is worse! The devil is a liar! There’s a promise over my life!

God said he did everything, and then he rested! So I’m about to get up; I’m about to get my fight back! I’m about to lay hold of everything that God has for me! She went loco! Just high-five somebody and say, «It’s time for you to go loco!» Time for you to go local! No crying, talking about, «Oh, poor you!» It’s time for you to go loco! Come on, somebody! Sometimes you’ve got to lose your mind in order to find wood!

She went loco! She went loco! Hallelujah! She looked loco! Present to the crowd! You know what else I liked about this woman? She knew how to stay focused in the crowd! So we got this loco woman; she’s loco, muy loco, right? Muy loco! Something snapped — something snapped, and it needed to snap! She needed to snap and remember who she was and remember who God was!

And remember the promises of her childhood! She snaps, but the crowd is still there! All the ordinary people — oh, got a feeling — she snaps! She doesn’t care about who’s around her! She could care less about that! She focuses! Can you imagine the looks and the stares that she got? She’s got an issue of blood but she got out of her head! I feel God! She didn’t allow her head to talk her out of what her heart had come to believe.

She’s focused — this loco woman is focused! She’s pressing her way through the crowd! She doesn’t care what anyone thinks because it doesn’t matter; I’m on a mission! I see an opportunity! There’s a door open in front of me! I’ve gotten a hold of this thing! Oh, I feel it! I’m not the lamb; I tried being the lamb; it didn’t get me anywhere! I’m going to leave that to Jesus! What my future needs right now is a lion!

A wild lion! A wild lion! She snaps! She snaps! She snaps! She’s down to nothing! It’s a powerful thing to be down to nothing, have a need and see an opportunity! Oh, what a mixture! What a mixture! I feel God! The strongest, most powerful, and anointed version of you is the version of you that is down to nothing!

You had a need; you have no more strategy, you have no more ideas! You’ve tried it all! Down to nothing, but you’ve got a real need! You ever been there before? It would be okay if I was down to nothing, but my needs were met! She was down to nothing, had a need but saw an opportunity! And that’s what made her — this is combustion! This mixture of nothing, need and opportunity created something in this woman!

This was a different woman than the one who was desperate, going around spending all of her money and trying to get something, and yet found herself being set back! She had to become a certain woman! Maybe she didn’t start off as a certain woman; maybe you didn’t start off as a certain man! But sometimes you have to become a certain type of person to get what God has for you! Just tell your neighbor, «Maybe you have to become somebody else!» Come on! Maybe you have to become somebody else!

Hope vs. Opportunity Consciousness

Jesus! She had focus in a crowded space! She saw — watch this — opportunity! When others only saw hope, this is — doggone it, this is powerful! This doggone word! She saw an opportunity! Everybody was following Jesus because they had some hope! But not everybody got what she got because she had an opportunity consciousness!

They had a hope consciousness! What’s the difference? What’s the difference? A hope consciousness, in this context, says maybe something good can happen. What consciousness did you come to church today with? «I’ll go to church; maybe something good would happen.» That’s cute! That’s cute! But some people, they ain’t got time for «maybe something can happen!»

I’ve been in this situation too long! I’ve been down; I’ve been confused; I’ve been in need for too long! If you’re in this house and you’ve been in need for too long, and you feel like you’re getting ready to go loco, holla at me! You, you, whatever the need is, you feel like this! Yeah, yeah, yeah!

That’s the sound of loco! I like that sound! That sound opens doors that no man can shut! Come on, where are my local people? Lacking in God’s house! Come on, LA! I see you! I know there are some local people in Los Angeles, California! If you’re local, I dare you to stand up and give God a shout! Come on! I’m going loco! I’m going loco!

I didn’t come here hoping! Hoping is for people who have options! Hoping is for people who have options and time! No, no! I didn’t come in here with a hope consciousness! There’s an open door for me somewhere! I’m going to keep on seeking it, and I’m going to keep on knocking it! I’m going to find that open door because there’s something that God has placed out there that if I roll up on it, that opportunity’s gonna open for me!

We’re almost done! We’re almost done! See, hope says maybe something good can happen! Opportunity says I know that something good has already happened! So if I can get out of my head, out of my head, out of my head, out of my head, if I can get out of my head, then I can focus and press ahead! Watch this! And convert this opportunity into the miracle I need! Oh, hallelujah!

Did you hear me? The miracle is not going to happen; you need an opportunity! And when that opportunity is converted, it becomes a miracle! I need to convert my opportunity! I need to find my opportunity, and I need to convert it! Can I teach you today? It’s going to happen when you find your opportunity, and you convert it!

And I cannot allow my head to be clouded and crowded by thoughts that do not honor the faith that I am believing God for that thing! Oh yeah, I’m going to say that again! I cannot have my head — in order to convert the miracle, I have to get out of my head! I cannot allow my head to be crowded and clouded — oh, glory to God! — with thoughts that undermine the faith that I am exhibiting towards the opportunity!

Well, Pastor, what’s the opportunity? It can be anything, but it’s a word, and it has a time! Opportunity has a timetable. And I hear God saying some of you right now, it’s time for you to convert it! For the Lord! In order to convert it, you must confess it! You gotta catch this! You’ve got to believe it! You’ve got to confess it! And when you confess it, you’ll be able to convert it!

And when you convert it, it’s going to morph into the miracle that you need! I can stop right there! It’s not going to come as a miracle; it’s going to come dressed up like an opportunity! God wants to see — he wants to see if you trust him!

The Power Exchange and Co-Creation

Come on! We’ve got a little further to go! A little further to go! A little further! I’m not hoping! I didn’t come to church hoping! I’m in the presence of Elohim, the creator of all things! The one who created everything concerning my life! And then on the seventh day — boom! — sat down! He was done! He set it in motion!

It’s in motion! The miracles are in motion! The miracles are in motion; it’s out there! Hidden in opportunity! Okay, okay, okay! So if we look at verse 30, something happens! Something happens! It says, «Well, she touches his garment!» Right? She, you know — that thing got healed immediately! She felt within herself! Wow — this is interesting! Wait! Go back to verse 29; I don’t think I saw that before! Maybe 28!

To really get — yeah, 29! Okay, it says immediately — watch this! Immediately, the fountain of her blood was dried up! And we keep going, please! «And she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.» So immediately — boom! — something happened — boom! — within her!

Then it says, «And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself, the power had gone out of him!» This — so something happened! It was a power exchange! We got to get this! I get this! The Bible says in Ephesians 3:20, «Now unto him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, far above what you can ask or imagine, according, watch this, to the power that works in us.»

So there’s something in us that causes greatness or great things to be manifest outside of us! So I don’t come to the party with nothing; I come to the party with something! But if God doesn’t do his part, nothing will happen! Then in Deuteronomy 8:18, it says that God has given us the ability to get or to create wealth!

That word is the Hebrew word «kā˒b, » and it means a force of means or a force of any other resources! So there is something in us that allows us to manifest what God has ordained out of us! I gotta say, you gotta get this! You gotta get this! Yeah, get this!

So let’s go backwards — God says that he places everything in his creation! Let’s just call it the universe! He puts everything that we will ever need into creation, into the universe, and then he rests! He doesn’t have to do anything else; he’s done already! And then he puts in us something that allows us to access and to produce what is there! Co-creation! Co-creation!

I feel the Holy Ghost! You got to get this — co-creation! He created you to create! Which means that every miracle that God has for you, you must participate in! I cannot produce without certain ingredients! He set everything up, even in humanity! We can’t come together and make a baby unless we both bring our unique, two distinct things to the table!

So back in the text, she feels something happened in her, but only as a response to what she released from her! Oh! You gotta catch this! She’s got something to give! Remember, she goes, «Nope, nope!» Oh, and she goes loco! Her faith recognizes that there is something out there for me! Her faith comes alive and becomes the instrument by which she reaches into God’s ability and pulls out of God power to manifest!

Well, God said! And here’s the crazy thing: Jesus did not understand it at first! Oh, you’re not ready for this! Look at how Jesus responds; he doesn’t understand it at first because he knows that power goes out of him — that he himself did not release! Oh yeah, got access today!

He’s like, «Who just touched me?» I’m used to just doing it, but somebody got something from me that I don’t have anything to do with! He turns around in the crowd and he says, «Who touched my clothes?» We’re going to keep going, but his disciples said to him, «You see the multitude thronging you, and you say, 'Who touched me? '» They’re so ignorant!

And you say, «Who touched me?» But Jesus says, «No, no, no, “ and he looked around to see! But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before him and told him the whole truth! She kind of had to educate Jesus on what just happened! He did not know! He just knew! What he knew was that creative dunamis, creative power came out of him!

Uh-huh! Wait! Wait! I’m on my way to go release some creative power because that’s what I do — I heal the sick, I open blind eyes, I raise the dead, I cast out devils! These are things that I initiate! But I felt the same type of power leave me that I didn’t have anything to do with! Are you tracking with him?

And so he says, „Uh-uh! No! I got to figure this out!“ No, no, no! I gotta figure this out! And she says, „Okay, okay, okay! It was me!“ And it says that she told him the whole truth! She broke her down! She said, „Okay, Jesus, let me take the truth! Okay, I was spending all my money on stuff, and I was trying to do whole bunch of stuff, and I lost everything! And the thing didn’t get better! In fact, it got worse!“

And I got desperate! The next thing I know — I might not like this, Jesus, but I went loco! And all I know is that within me, I believe that you created my blessing before the foundation of the world! Something happened to me where I just believed that! That I know the plans that you have for me — plans to prosper me and not to harm me — to give me a future and a hope!

And I abandon all my fear, and I abandon all my anxiety, and I abandon all my nervousness, and I became a certain type of woman! And I said, „If I just grab!“ And then when I did, I felt something! And Jesus says, „Daughter, I didn’t even do it! I didn’t do nothing! Let me tell you how this thing was accomplished: Your faith has made you whole! Go in peace!

You don’t need me; you get it! You understand it! What’s going to be has already been! Go on, girl! Handle your business! You have learned a valuable lesson! What will be has been done if you believe! If you believe it — that’s your testimony! If God, shout!

Coming from Behind and Altar Call

Oh, come on! Come on, LA! Come on! He’s the God of Opportunity! Come on! Where are my local people? I’m tired of thinking straight; I’m tired of thinking like everybody else! I’m determining today that I’m going to believe God for my miracle! I’m going to believe God for my breakthrough! Uh-huh, uh-huh, this is already done! It’s already done! Already done! Hallelujah!

Oh, come on! Keep on celebrating him until you become a certain type of man, a certain type of woman! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Haha! The last thing I want to say — we’re done! Something had jumped out on me in verse 27 — did I miss it before? And this is for somebody specifically! We’re outta here; we’re done! It says, „And when she heard about Jesus, “ it says, „she came from behind him.“

And when I was praying for you, I heard the Lord say that there are some people under the sound of my voice, and once you go loco over your opportunity, God’s gonna cause you to come from behind right to the front! I hear God saying, „The last shall be first, and there’s going to be accelerated restoration!“ If that’s your word, give God a shout! Accelerated! You’re going to come from — I dare you to say, „Don’t you count me out! I might look like I’m last! I’m getting ready to come from behind and win the whole thing!

I’m coming from behind! I feel it! She came from behind! Can’t you see her? She’s focused! She doesn’t care about the crowd; she’s focused! She did not allow her starting place to discourage her from believing where this thing could go! I might be backed up; I might be coming from behind, but I’m focused!

I will outrun all of you! Oh, I feel God! Where are my people? You might be behind, but you’re going to trust Jesus to bring you right to the front! If that’s you, praise God! Would you? I see you, LA! Come on, baby! Crazy! Hallelujah!

Oh yeah! I’m coming from behind! I’m coming from behind! You counted me out! I’m coming from behind! Yeah, yeah! It ain’t over! It ain’t over! It ain’t over! I still got a shot! I’m coming from behind! Oh yeah! Oh yeah! Greater days are yet to come! Greater things are still to be done in this city!

I’m coming from behind! Hallelujah! Where are my underdogs? I want to just prophesy to my underdogs! I hear God saying, „I’m gonna pray you straight to the front! Straight to the front in your industry! Straight to the front in your company! Straight to the front in your relationships! Straight to the front!“ I want to pray for you; I want to pray for you!

He’s the God of opportunities! How is it going to happen? You’re seizing! You’re confessing! You’re converting! The opportunity — seize it! Don’t wait for it! Don’t disqualify yourself from it! And don’t allow the crowd and the cloud to weaken your passion for it! Focus, baby! I’m focused! You can get more done with focus!

Focus! I’m outta my head! I’m getting out of my head! I’m a thought regulator! I cast down every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God! LaMas chains fall, fear by fear! Now who’s the God of opportunities? Don’t look for the miracle! Look for the opportunity!

You have to co-create with God! Seize it! Confess it! Convert it! Seize it! Confess it! Convert it! That’s what the miracle is! I want to pray for you! If you’re here, and you feel like the Lord was speaking to you, and in fact, you know God was speaking to you, and you want something to be imparted — to seal this! I want you to come meet me here at the altar!

LA, come meet me at the altar! If you want the God of opportunities to show up in your life unlike ever before, just come and meet me! I see you! I see you coming! LA, I see you! If you’re watching via livestream, I just want you to worship!

I see somebody! Somebody, you’re watching via livestream, and you’re just worshiping and crying! You’re weeping! You’re worshiping! God sees you! This is a word for you! Designed to change your life! I see you! God sees you! In the Spirit, and he’s calling you to be a certain type of woman! A certain type!

Hallelujah! He’s the God of opportunities! Of opportunities! Everybody in here, there’s an opening somewhere! There’s an opening! There’s an opening! There’s an opening! There’s an opening! There’s an opening! There’s an opening! There’s an opening! I open doors that no man can shut! That’s what I do!

I’m a door opener! I’m a door opener! I have to open up the door to the dimension where your miracle lives! A miracle! Let me tell you something! Jesus didn’t — he rarely even called miracles „miracles!“ He called them „works!“ He called them „works!“ Why? Because miracles are commonplace in a certain dimension!

We only call them miracles here because when they show up in this realm, it’s a miracle, but it’s normal in the realm that the door that is opening leads you into! So he opens the door and allows you to experience the power and the glory of that realm in this realm! Biblically, it sounds like this: „On earth as it is in heaven!“

I want to pray for you! If you’re here, and you want to meet the God of opportunities, and you want to meet the one who knew you before he put you in your mother’s womb, knows all about you, knows the plans that he has for you — plans to prosper you and not to harm you!

If you’re here, and you want to meet God in a way where you won’t even really call him God! The majority of the time, you spend the majority of time calling him your heavenly Father! Daddy! Papa! Abba! The one who makes me so secure that even when I’m by myself, I’m not by myself! The one who will love me when people are looking at me funny! The one who will love me when I turn unto — when I go loco!

He still loves me! If you want to open up your heart to the God of opportunities, I want you to come to this altar as well! LA, if you haven’t done it, I want you to come to this altar as well! I just want you to come! We’re almost done! I want to pray for you!

Closing Prayer

Father, I thank you so much for who you are! I thank you, God, for finishing the work and then finishing the work on the cross so that we would have access to the finished work! You removed every ignorance and every barrier; you removed it! It’s not there! Which means that all of the promises are yes and amen in you!

And God, we also recognize that you often answer by opportunity! So Father, give us eyes to see the opportunity that is the front side of my miracle! And give us the certain type of strength and perspective, even that our precious and beloved sister had that we read about! You said, „I didn’t even do this! Your faith did it! The power in you unlocked the power in me, and an incredible thing that was preordained took place!“

Father, help us to navigate the crowd of thoughts, the crowd of emotions, the cloud of fear and anxiety! Lord, help us to be like that certain woman who was focused! Focused even in the midst of the crowd! No, Father! There may be some at this altar who don’t know you!

And I thank you, Lord God, that you know them! You knew them before they even got started in the belly! And Father, I pray today for those who have come forward saying, „I want to be in relationship with the God of opportunities, a.k.a. my heavenly Father!“

And I pray that as they’ve opened up their heart to you, you would seal this relationship in this connection by the Holy Spirit! I want you to repeat after me: „Heavenly Father, I thank you for this word! I receive it! I thank you for your love! I feel it! I thank you for Jesus! Thank you for making him, who had no sin, all of mine: all of my weakness, all of my shortcomings, all of my fears, all of my hurt — you placed in his body, nailed it to the cross, and put it to death!

But just as you were raised up — free and victorious — because I’m in him, I’m raised up too and have full access to every blessing, every miracle, and every promise that has been assigned to my life! You’re the God of opportunities, and I will do exceedingly abundantly beyond what I can ask because of the power that you’ve placed in me! I’m yours, and you are mine! In Jesus' name, Amen!“
