TD Jakes - Raise Your Expectations (04/11/2017)
Bishop T.D. Jakes makes a really convicting point about how we approach church. He argues that we’ve got it backwards if we’re just sitting around waiting for people to show up on Sunday. Instead, he challenges us to actually get out there into "all the world"—which basically means everyone, no matter their story or background.
The big takeaway is that if you actually want to change lives, you have to be willing to get a little uncomfortable and meet people where they’re at. Jakes suggests that when you spend your week actually serving others, Sunday worship starts to feel less like a routine and more like a much-needed pit stop to recharge. He highlights this by diving into the story from Acts 3, where Peter and John encounter a lame man at the temple gate, showing that the most powerful moments of faith usually happen outside the "official" service.
