Steven Furtick — I Got The Hook Up
I wondered if we could go back to the well. And we have been looking at... how many of you got to hear the sermon this weekend? I don't want to sum everybody... hey we're excited, because we found out this weekend in our church, for all of you who are visiting with us, and we don't stand the whole time thing like that, but we do stand up when we get excited, and we stay excited so. I'm going to see, how y'all act tonight, I came here to check on y'all and see, if y'all are responsive and rowdy like they say this.
And what I'd like to do is go back to John chapter four, where we were looking at a a woman at a well. And the real well, in John chapter 4, of course, is Jesus Christ, who gives this woman living water to drink, more than she expected. That's the way it works. God is an exceeded. And so, whatever you came for tonight, he is able to do immeasurably more, then you could ask her imagine. I don't know why you came, what you need, but God does, and he's got it. Do me a favor, because I felt like you needed to tell the person next to you: God's got it. So tell him: God's got it. And just whatever you stand in need of tonight, he's got it. He's got it, an abundant supply.
And so we're kind of studying about this, and I want to get back into it tonight, and continue in the same thought. Somebody shot his harvest-time! Jesus said in John chapter 4:34 "My food is to do the will of Him, who sent Me and finish His work. Don't you have a saying 'it's still four months until harvest'"? This kind of got me, when we were singing tonight, because we have a saying in our church, where we always say, we didn't make this up, a lot of people say, but we always said: the best is yet to come. And I felt God say to me, standing amongst you tonight, he said: verdict is here. It's here. I mean look around you, look at the passion in this room, look at these people. It's here here. Stop waiting on what God is already doing. You get into it, and enjoy it, and appreciate it.
