Sid Roth: The text of The Supernatural Bible is the Modern English Version, MEV. The Supernatural Bible is based on the respected King James manuscript. It is the first updated version created by 47 distinguished translators in 30 years. Archaic words and idioms are updated into modern English based on the finest research. For instance, in the King James Version, Luke 3:16 records a conversation between the people and John the Baptist like this. "John answered saying unto them all, 'I indeed baptize you with water, but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire.'"

Now, since most of us don't use the word latchet, here's how The Supernatural Bible translates that identical verse: "John answered them all, 'I indeed immerse you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, the straps of whose shoes I am not worthy to untie. He will immerse you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.'" In order to make this Bible translation more authentic to the original, I've recaptured the Jewish feel by taking a dozen key words that were anglicized from the Hebrew to the Greek. Now they're more authentic. Only a dozen, so you're not going to need a reference to understand the Bible. Instead of Jesus, you'll see His Hebrew name, Yeshua. The mother of Yeshua is referred to as Miriam, her real name, instead of Mary. James appears as Jacob, his Hebrew name. The Messiah is exchanged for Christ. The epistle or letter of Jude reads as Judah. Then instead of the word trumpet, there are many cases in the Bible where it's actually references the ram's horn, the shofar. Many have now received their own copy of The Supernatural Bible. Here is what they have to say about it.

Louise: After my visit to the Holy Land, I really wanted to get more into the life of the Jewish Jesus. I wanted to know more what He was really like when He walked the Earth in those days. The Supernatural Bible has helped me tremendously in this regard. The articles and commentaries by Dr. Michael Brown are so good. The things Jesus taught have become so much clearer now.

Sid Roth: The Supernatural Bible, it's so powerful that it's not only impacting gentile believers, but it's resonating with Jewish people too. In the 1980s I established a Messianic Jewish congregation in Brooklyn, New York. Many Russian Jewish people were immigrating to America from Russia. One hundred thousand Russian Jews lived in a 10-block radius in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn. Many were coming to know Jesus as their Messiah. During our weekly services, we noticed an 18-year-old Orthodox Jewish man sneaking into the services and sitting in the back of the sanctuary.
