Rabbi Schneider — My Beloved
God bless you, Yedidim, Shalom, beloved ones. Yedidim is the Hebrew word for beloved ones, and we are the beloved ones of the Lord. In fact, I'm calling today's message My Beloved Ones. We are the beloved ones of the Father. We're the beloved ones of Jesus.
The Apostle John in his letters addresses us as the beloved, and this is the way the Father feels about us. At times I get letters from folks, or emails, they don't like that I call the church the beloved ones, or beloved as I'm teaching.
And that makes me feel bad because I don't want to be offensive to anybody. But what I'm trying to do is to help us open up to the love of God. Many people that write me tell me how blessed they are that I do call the audience beloved ones.
Today I believe that we're gonna be penetrated by the Holy Spirit and by the Word to understand how beautiful we are to God. Many of you have been tuning in over the last year as I've been preaching through the Song of Songs.
The reason that I took a year to preach on the Song of Songs is because it was so important to me that this Word got in the hearts of God's people, because it's a word that most people haven't heard. It's a flow of the Holy Spirit that many have not been introduced to.
In fact, you can get the entire teachings through our website, The Song of Songs: Journeying in to Divine Love, if you weren't able to tune in. Today what I want to do is I want to focus on what was the goal of the teaching in the Song of Songs, and that goal was encountering Jesus, encountering the living Word of God.
You see, this is what Jesus wants for us. This is the heart of Jesus. His heart is, not that we just look at the letter of Scriptures, but rather that the Scriptures would lead us to him.
You see, Jesus said to the Pharisees in John 5:39-40, he said, you search the Scriptures because you think in them you have life.
Yet it's these that bear witness of me, he said, and you refuse to come to me that you might have life. And so you see, the whole purpose of Scripture, beloved ones, is to bring us to King Jesus that we would, listen now, encounter him.
The Song of Songs started out just as a way to set the stage for where we're going today. Again this is not the series in the Song of Songs, it's just some encounters that people have had through the book that I want to bring to the surface today because I believe that God is gonna minister to us and encounter many of you supernaturally in his love during this broadcast today.
