Rabbi Schneider - Become Exalted
Greetings and shalom, beloved friend. I'm so happy that you tune in to receive these mini devotionals each week. The Scriptures tell us that we should desire the Word of God even as an infant desires the milk from its mother's breast. So the Word of God sustains us, and sometimes we don't realize how important it is to stay engaged with God's Word. So I pray that this devotion today will be helpful for you.
I'm going to the book of Philippians chapter two, and we read there that even though Yeshua appeared in the world in the form of a man, He humbled himself as a man, as the God man. He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the Father even to the point of death, meaning that Jesus didn't want to go to the cross, but because the Father sent Him to the cross, Yeshua humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death. And then it goes on to say, “Therefore, God highly exalted Him and gave Him the name above all names, so that at the name of Yeshua of Nazareth, Jesus, the Messiah, every knee will bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord.”
So not only does this cause us to give glory to the King, but also what this does is help us understand that as we obey the Lord and humble ourselves by being obedient, we also will be rewarded and lifted up in His glory. I want you to know, Jesus said, not even a cup of cold water that you give out in His name is going to go unrewarded.
So every day, just keep on putting one foot in front of the other. Just keep on being a soldier and walk in obedience. And know, my friend, that even as Yeshua was given a name above all names for His obedience, you also will receive your reward. God is watching you. He loves you. He's so happy when you respond to Him in obedience and love. Let's make this day count. Until next time, this is Rabbi Schneider saying to you, shalom and love. God bless.
