Rabbi Schneider - Demonstrating God's Love
Some of us are not aware that in addition to the Gospel of John, John wrote three letters that are found towards the end of the New Testament. I know that many of you know this, but perhaps some don't.
In his first letter, not in the Gospel of John, but in the first letter that he wrote, John wrote that the commandment as New Testament believers that we're to obey is, number one, to believe in the Son of God and to walk in love, to love one another.
As a young believer, I didn't realize how important love was. I've been walking with the Lord now for over 40 years. As a young believer, I just wanted to conquer. But now that I've grown in the Lord, I realize how critical, I mean, this might seem basic, but now I realize that, truly, the most important thing in walking out our faith is to demonstrate God's love to others and have the fruit of God's purpose in our life fulfilled by walking in love.
So let me ask you, my beloved friend, are you and I walking in love towards other people? We have to ascend. We need to rise up. We need to choose to walk in love every single day.
