Rabbi Schneider - Anchored in the Lord
One of the beautiful portions of the Book of Psalms is contained in Psalm 121, verse one and two. It says “Where shall my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”
I love to be reminded of that because sometimes we're faced with things in life. The things that we're seeing in politics, the things that we're seeing with natural disasters, hurricanes, the wars that we're hearing about around the world, these things can be overwhelming if we don't recognize that we're anchored in the Lord and that our hope and deliverance, our safety and protection come from Him.
I'm so thankful. There's times when I've been distraught by what I'm seeing happening in the world. And then I read verses like the one we're concentrating on today, that our help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth.
As I focused on the Lord's Word, His peace and health has just washed over my soul and flooded my mind. So remember that. No matter what the world brings, you are safe, secure, and victorious in Him, from whom your help comes from.
