Rabbi Schneider - I Am the Way, the Truth and the Life
One of my favorite scriptures in the Gospel of John is Yeshua's words where He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no man cometh to the Father but through Me.” Think about what Jesus said. I'm focusing on one particular word. He said, “I'm the way, the truth and the” (get it now) “life. No man comes to the Father but through Me.”
You know, a lot of times, when people think about Jesus, they think about religion. We have that term “Christianity.” As I've said before, the word Christianity is not in the Bible. The word Christian is in the Bible three times, not Christianity. Christianity is a system of beliefs, which is important because the beliefs of Christianity are derived from the Word of God. But we need to understand that having a relationship with the Lord, it's not about religion. A lot of times when people think of Christianity, they think about religion. But walking with God is about life.
Yeshua said, “I'm the way, the truth, and the life.” You see all this beauty around me. That's life. It's the life that God created. There's nothing religious about this environment. There's nothing religious about this environment. God is not religious. He's life. He's living water. Our God is a fountain and a river of living water. Jesus said, “I am the life.” He that hath the Son hath the life.
As the deer panteth for the water, so my soul (and I know many of your souls) we panteth after thee, O God. Fill us with life. Father, strengthen us, we pray, to be able to take You in in a greater way. Strengthen us to receive You, God, strengthen us in our kishkes, in our guts, God, to be able to take Your life into us so we could live empowered to have fellowship with You. Bring us out of darkness and strengthen us, Father, we pray today by Your marvelous light in Your marvelous life.
I speak life over you today, precious child of God, in the name of Yeshua of Nazareth. And if you don't know Him today, understand, Jesus is not calling you to become religious. He's calling you to Himself. He's calling you in to the life.
