Rabbi Schneider - The Gift of Grace
Ephesians 2:8-9 says this: "For by grace you have been saved through faith". And even the faith that saves us, Paul tells us, is not the result of our own works. It's the gift of God.
Sometimes people get a funny idea that faith is a work. But beloved, saving faith is not something that we produce by our own works. Saving faith is the pure gift of God. It's only because of the gift of grace that's been imparted to our soul that we're empowered to believe in Yeshua that was crucified on our behalf, buried, ascended, and rose to heaven. And as we look to Him in heaven, we believe that we can ascend with Him into the heavenly places.
Beloved, don't confuse faith with being a work. Faith is imparted to you by the Father. When you sense faith, take a hold of it. Seize it. Recognize that it's a pure gift of God. Hold it close to your heart and move into it and towards it. And you'll find yourself entering in to the fullness of God Himself.
