Rabbi Schneider - Waiting on the Lord

Rabbi Schneider - Waiting on the Lord
TOPICS: Rabbi Schneider: Devotions, Waiting on God, Patience

Yeshua said in John 7:38, "He who believes in me from his", get this, now, "innermost being", got a mosquito there, "will flow rivers of living water". I want to focus on that word "innermost". Where does this river of living water flow from? When we're connected to Yeshua through our faith, it flows from our innermost being. So much of our energy can be focused on what's outside of us.

We think that life is over there. We think that life is in the food. We think that life is in our email. We think that life is on the news. We think that life is in some type of relationship. We're always looking for life outside of ourselves. If I can go over there on vacation, if I could do this, if I can get a different job, if I had a different mate. But notice that Yeshua, that the life that he gives us isn't going to come to us from the outside. He said he that believes in me, a river of living water shall flow from... From what? From his innermost being.

Beloved, we need to start spending more time focusing on what's going on inside of us and the way that we begin to become aware of what's going on inside of us is just sitting before the Lord. The Scripture says he that just waits patiently for the Lord, God is going to come to him and He's going to rise up like an eagle with wings.

I want to encourage you to spend time disconnecting from the outer world. You just focus on your inner world. And even when you feel like nothing's happening, believe that God's a rewarder of those that diligently seek him.

And as you begin to look to the Lord to well up from inside of you, slowly, as you persevere, you're going to find yourself being strengthened in your inner man. And as you do, more and more life will flow forth, just as Yeshua said, from your innermost being.
