Rabbi Schneider - True Joy (Jerusalem Church Service)
TOPICS: Joy

If you're a believer in Yeshua, If you're born again by the Ruach HaKodesh, you have joy in you. Now on the last day," that's feast, Yeshua stood and cried out, saying, 'If any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'" It's interesting we think of the Hebrew word for water, mayim, beginning with the Hebrew word mem. And there's something deep and significant about the fact that water, which Yeshua spoke of here... Remember He said, "He that believes in Me from his innermost being will flow rivers of living mayim". Water. And the letter mem, it has a mmm sound. Meh. Meh. And when you make this mmm sound, it draws you inside.

So the great Yogi's of India, (and I'm not teaching this, I'm just sharing this with you by way of observation) they'll give their disciples something called a mantra. And they'll teach their disciples to just sit and go, Mmmmmmmmm. How many of you have heard that before? We're not teaching Eastern religion. I'm just making a point. The reason that they are focused on the mmmmm sound, which is the same sound that the word mem, as in mayim has is because it draws us into the inside. So the Swami's from India, The gurus, they understand that the mmm sound will get their disciples in touch with what's in them. So mayim, the living water that Yeshua spoke of, is where from his innermost, from within.

Now, the Gurus of India, they don't have living water to offer. Only Yeshua it does. But I'm trying to help us get in touch tonight with the fact that if we're going to drink, if we're going to drink of the living water there that we receive in the name of Yeshua by the Ruach HaKodesh, we have to learn to drink of it from where? Within. The living water, the joy that we have its not from anything that outside of us, its from within us. Paul said that he was sorrowful yet rejoicing. It wasn't that he didn't feel pain. It wasn't that he never felt sad. Pain and sadness are real. But Baruch Hashem, we've got a deeper power from within. We have joy even in the pain. We rejoice even in the struggle.

Now, get this. The fact is, if you're a believer in Yeshua, if you're born again by the Ruach HaKodesh, you have joy in you, whether you know it or not. If you've received the living spirit of God, if you've received Yeshua, you have joy even if you don't know it because the spirit of joy is in you. But in order to be able to experience the power of the joy inside, we have to respond. We have to take action. We have to rejoice. We have the joy. But to enter into the experience of it, we have to rejoice.

Now, to help you grasp this, think about what happened when our worship team tonight began to play and lead us in worship and we began to enter in and put our focus into praising God. Didn't you instantly feel better? You see, we focused and we shifted the atmosphere. And the same thing happens to us even as individuals when we're alone.

Now, remember I'm not talking to you about feelings. I want you to get that. Life is hard. I'm not talking about feelings. I'm talking about something deeper. I'm talking about something more powerful. I'm talking about the ability to walk in the anointing and to walk in power and to create breakthrough in your life even if you're emotionally sad. I'm talking about the power to live through it powerfully, plowing forward by shifting the atmosphere through coming into agreement with the Word of God and declaring it over your life.

Now let me give you a personal example of this. I experience in my own life a lot of spiritual warfare. The Lord has given me a lot of revelation through my dreams at night and visions of the night. But I've also experienced in the night a tremendous amount of demonic attack. Sometimes I wake up in the morning and I feel like I've been run over by a truck. Very painful. And I start my day with the Lord and spend an hour just listening to worship music, reading a devotional reading the Word. Sometimes just sitting in the Lord's presence doing nothing but listening to worship music. And I start to feel a little revived, but I'm still feeling beaten up by the night before. And then I go take a shower and I'll just begin to declare in my heart, just silently, the word of the Lord over my life. And here's what I rejoice аbout:

Thank You, Lord, that you're using everything for good. That it wasn't just that I got beat up last night by the devil but that you're using it for something good. Thank you, Father, that nothing is wasted in my life. You see, I'm transitioning into joy. I'm not laughing, but in power I'm moving into the anointing to walk for the day forward. Thank you, Father, for all the good you've done to me, for the beautiful wife you've given me, for my children, for the ministry that you have opened up for me. Thank you for your love, Father. Thank you for the way that you've carried me and protected me.

See, I'm walking in truth now. And even though I'm still struggling because life is a battle, I'm moving forward in power and joy, and victory.
