TOPICS: Vision

Worship and Declaration
We are not dead—we are alive! Somebody praise Him in this house! Come on, praise Him in this house! Praise Him in this house! Praise Him, praise Him, praise Him in this house! Come on, is anybody alive in this house? Hallelujah! Come on, I said is anybody alive in this house? Come on, you’re not dead—you’re alive! Hallelujah! Come on, you’re not dead—you’re alive! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

Thank you, worship team. Come on, you’re not dead—you’re alive! You’re not dead—you’re alive! You’re not dead—you’re alive! You’re not dead—you’re alive! Somebody shout I’m alive! Shout I’m alive! I’m alive! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Jesus!

Man, before you take your seats, we’re going to encourage each other until this series is over. If you’re not a Christian, if you’re not a follower of Jesus, you don’t have to do this—just watch us encourage each other. Brothers and sisters, man, shove on each other with your anointed hands and tell them you’re not dead—you’re alive!

Come on, shout at brothers and sisters—you’re not dead, you’re alive! Come on, find three more people—tell them you’re not dead, you’re alive! Come on, find two more people—tell them you’re not dead, you’re alive! You’re alive! Somebody say to yourself, I’m not dead—I’m alive! Somebody shout I’m alive! I’m alive! I’m alive! I’m alive!

Somebody shout I’m alive! I’m alive! I’m alive! I’m alive! I said I’m alive! I’m alive! I’m alive! Alive! You heard my wife pray—you got to declare something and you got to believe for something. Man, declare for all that—I’m alive! I’m alive! Somebody shout I’m alive! I’m alive! I’m alive! I’m alive! I’m alive! Hallelujah!

I’m alive! That’s right, sister—you alive! That’s right, sister—you alive! God is doing a work in your heart. That’s right, sister—God is doing a work in your heart. You’re alive—you’re not dead, you’re alive! God is for you—you’re alive in the name of Jesus!

Week Two Introduction
Week two of our series—anybody glad to be in God’s house this morning? And before I get going, I just want to give a shout out. There was a pastor who contacted our office. He contacted our office on—somebody receive that in the name of Jesus! Somebody receive that in the name of Jesus! Receive that—receive that in the name of Jesus!

So this week, I think it was on Friday, we got a call from a pastor in Denver, Colorado, who said that he’s getting ready to start a church in Denver, Colorado. He contacted our office—he spoke with Erica, who’s our office assistant there. She manages our office. And he told us—he said let the people of Victory know that people are watching y’all.

That’s what he said—he said let the people of Victory know that people are watching y’all. And that from where he is on the other side of the country, that he has been inspired by this ministry, and that people have been inspired by this ministry. And so, I don’t remember that pastor’s name—what’s his name? Corey.

So my brother Corey, if you’re watching this podcast or if you’re listening to this podcast right here from Atlanta Victory Church, we just want to say man, bless you. We want to say we believe God for what you’re about to do. We believe God for the work that you’re about to do, Corey.

We pray that every resource you need, every person you need, that God will send it to you. We pray that your church plant will be successful and it will be prosperous. We pray that God will use you to spread the gospel in Denver, Colorado, and that right through your ministry souls will be saved, lives will be transformed, disciples will be raised up for the power of Jesus.

We pray that God will flood your church and flood your church plant with His favor and His blessing. And we pray the favor upon this house, Corey—we pray the favor upon this house will be upon your house. That you will be among those churches in these last days that God will use to stand and declare the Word of God unapologetically and boldly.

And Corey, if there’s anything we can do for you—from all the systems we’ve designed, the things we’ve put in place, all of our SOPs, our strategies, all of our administrations, everything we’ve done behind the scenes, social media—if there’s anything we can teach your church, anything we can help you with, contact our office this week.

Contact our office when you have time, and we’ll get you every piece of information you need. You want to start small groups—we’ll send you our manual. Anything you want to do—we’ll send it to you. Whatever we can do to help you spread the gospel in Denver, Colorado, Corey—we’ll send it to you. And believe God for you in Jesus' name. Bless you, Pastor Corey.

Shout Out to Dorothy
Also too, on Saturday morning at 12:00 a.m., someone named Dorothy wrote—Dorothy Matson wrote this. And she said, dear Victory Church—Dorothy, if you’re watching this, shout out to you wherever you are in the world. She said, dear Victory Church, I’m not a US citizen or I’m not a US resident. I saw you on Facebook and it was amazing.

I believe the name Victory Church is a very meaningful name for your church. I wish I could be on your prayer list—you’re going to be on my prayer list, Dorothy. I feel the victory that our Lord Jesus Christ won for us. Please pray for me in my faith walk. I am troubled in various ways. Do you have online membership?

Dorothy, I don’t know what country you’re in—well, we’re going to pray for you right now, Dorothy, right here at Victory, cuz we are praying people. And if you’re watching this podcast or if you’re hearing this podcast, Dorothy—you didn’t—I don’t know what country you’re in, but Dorothy, we pray for you right now in the name of Jesus.

That every dead thing in your life will come alive in the name of Jesus. We pray that God would strengthen your heart, Dorothy—that He will revive you in places that have gone dim or dry. We pray that He will comfort your heart right now in the middle of your trouble.

And Dorothy, we pray that God will help you to see that He has not abandoned you in whatever you’re going through, but He is right there with you in the middle of your circumstance. And that trouble is not a testimony of the absence of God, but sometimes it’s in our trouble, Dorothy, that He shows Himself strong.

So Dorothy, we pray for you right now that you will be strong in the middle of your trouble, that God will strengthen you in the middle of your adversity, and He will bring you out on the other side of that trouble with a testimony that He is faithful, that He is good, and that He is merciful.

Dorothy, we send blessings toward you whatever country you are in—that God provide for you all of your needs, and He will continue to draw you, Dorothy, to Himself. That He will give you a revelation that you are not forgotten nor forsaken.

And though we cannot touch you physically, Dorothy, we reach you right now with our prayers. But the power of prayer is not hindered by camera or geographical location. We are your brothers and sisters right here in the United States of America. We say come alive, Dorothy, whatever country you’re in—we say come alive. And we send blessings towards you in Christ’s name. Amen. Amen.

Man, thank God for the spread of the Gospel! Hallelujah! All right, I said thank God for the spread of the Gospel! I said thank God for the spread of the Gospel!

The Prophetic Word
You know, I feel really strong about this series. And I feel really strong about this message. I feel really strong about the series—not because I’m the one preaching it—but I feel really strong about the series because I am convinced that it is a prophetic word from God to our church.

And I think anytime God sends a prophetic word to a church, it shows His care and His love and His concern for the people there. I feel that God is doing something in us right here at the beginning of the year. I feel that God is determined that you will not go through the rest of this year where you came out in 2016.

I feel that God is determined that every dry bone in this house will come alive. I feel that God is determined to breathe on us—even as we sang that song «Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire, Fresh Oil”—that He is like the wind, and like the wind He is blowing on every area of your life.

That like fresh fire, His fire is consuming things in your life that do not belong. And you know fire—anything fire touches, it changes it. That you cannot touch fire and stay the same. He’s like oil, bringing His power and His anointing to every task and assignment that He has given you.

And I feel like God is doing something in our hearts right here in this series. Am I the only one? And I want to exhort you—it was Elder Milton last week in the back. He came to me—he said man, he said Pastor, if every single person in church would not treat this sermon or these messages like how we normally do in American church—in one ear and out the other—but if they would—the words he used was if they would grab hold.

And if they would hear the Spirit of God speaking to them right from the pulpit and grab hold of what God is saying—he said just this one series alone could set the course for their lives for the entire year. That every other sermon that comes behind this series would just be icing on the cake.

That if you really think about the implications of what God is saying right here—man, this is something that can set the course for you for the next 12 months, maybe for the rest of your life. That I want you to feel the seriousness and the weight and the gravity of what God is saying to us from New Year’s right up until this very moment—man, come alive.

And come alive. And as I study the Scriptures, the God that I know does not give us instructions if He did not intend to do something behind those instructions. That God does not say „come alive“ if He did not intend to do something behind those instructions.

And sometimes the only thing separating us from where we are and what God wants to do in our life is the instruction that we obey. And sometimes the only thing keeping us from what we need to have and what God wants to do in our lives is the instruction we won’t obey.

Hear the voice of God saying come alive—come alive. Man, unwrap those grave clothes, Lazarus—you’ve been in that tomb too long. You’ve been stuck in that place too long. You’ve been depressed about that for too long. You’ve been worried about that for too long.

Man, you’ve been crying about that for too long, and you’ve been complaining about that for too long. But I’m trying to do a new thing in your life—you heard? I’m trying to do a new thing in your life. And you can only complain about something for so long, and you can only stay dry in a particular area for so long.

Man, the Hound of Heaven is on your block, and the Hound of Heaven is in your house, and the Hound of Heaven is in your face saying my son, my daughter—man, come close to this fire, right? Come close to this fire—stick your hand in there—let me burn you a little bit that you come alive.

Man, we play with fire at this church! Hallelujah! I said we play with fire at this church! We like little kids who don’t have no behavior with those matches—we play with fire at this church! Hallelujah!

The Bible says our God is a consuming fire—that He’s a consuming fire. That when we get close to Him, He burns up things that do not belong and transforms us in His presence. Man, I feel that—man, hold on—on this sermon that our God is a consuming fire! Hallelujah!

That as we get close to Him, He burns up things that do not belong, and He transforms us. Come alive!

Scripture Reading
We in week two right now—have come alive. If you have your Bibles, let’s go to Ezekiel chapter 37, which is our primary text for this entire series. Ezekiel 37:1-6.

The prophet Ezekiel wrote: The hand of the Lord was upon me, and He brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley, and it was full of bones. And He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, and the bones were very dry.

And He asked me, son of man, can these bones live? And I said, O Sovereign Lord, you alone know. And He said to me, prophesy to these bones and say to them—just like my wife was praying—prophesy, declare something, speak—prophesy to these dry bones and say to them, dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.

This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will make breath enter you—you know, every time I read this, I just want to grab hold of the fact that God is speaking to me from His Word. And every time we read this, I want you not just to hear Pastor Philip speaking—I want you to hear God speaking to you directly from His Word.

I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. And I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin, and I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know when I’m done with you that I am the Lord.

Title of this message is just a couple declarations I made on New Year’s that I’m going to expand on: Get a Vision and Get a Plan. Get a vision—get a plan.

Prayer
Holy Spirit of God, I pray you would speak to us right where we are—draw us to yourself—minister to our hearts. In Christ’s name I pray, amen.

Amen.

Frustration with Dryness
You know, I’ve come to learn—I’m just going to be honest—that I think as a believer, one of the most frustrating things that I experience is when I know that some area of my life is not where it’s supposed to be—whether my prayer life is not where it’s supposed to be or my devotional life is not where it’s supposed to be.

And I think a lot of us know the frustration of coming to church and loving God, but the reality is there’s some part of our life that’s not where it’s supposed to be. And I think not only myself, but I think if we be honest, we know the frustration of saying man, dang—I wish this was better. I wish this was doing better.

All the frustration of when you’re confronted with your own self—when you’re confronted with your own self—when you realize there’s a part of your life that’s not firing in the way that it’s supposed to be firing. I’m telling you right now, after you get filled with the Holy Spirit, after you give your life to Christ, after you become a Christian—you walk through a dry place, that is a very miserable place to be in.

It’s very frustrating to be in a dry place. It’s very frustrating to deal with dryness. It’s very frustrating to be dealing with some area of life that’s not where you want it to be.

And in this series, we’re talking about how we come out of that place. Because you can be on fire for a season, and then life would erode the vitality that’s in you. And you could be on fire for a season, and then attacks of the devil would erode the vitality that’s in you.

I know what it is to be on fire for a good while, and then either busyness or the trials of life or the hurts of life or the pains of life just choke that fire right out of you. Anybody know what that feels like? You understand.

And I know what it is to be on fire for a season, and then just things start going wrong—attacks of the devil, doors start closing one thing after the other. I know what it is to be on fire for God in one season, and then hell starts breaking out. And as a result of that hell, we get tired and we get weary.

And then you look up, and all of a sudden, man—you found yourself in a dry place. You’ve lost a very valuable thing called vitality. Vitality is one of the most valuable things a human being will ever have. Vitality is vigor—it’s life—it’s a sense of inner strength, inner fortitude.

And it’s one of the most important things that any human being will ever have. When we have vitality, we feel strong. When we have vitality, we feel confident. When we have vitality, we feel like we could conquer the world. When we have vitality, we fly high.

And sometimes you could be flying high for a season—I don’t know if you’re like me, and you get nervous—you start looking for that attack that might be coming around the corner. Anybody’s ever been like that—like things may be going too well for just a little while, right? Like man, I’ve been strong—my prayer life is tight, man—everything—and then you start getting nervous like wait, this—it’s been too smooth for a little while—some attack got to be right around the corner. Help us, Lord.

And vitality is one of those things we take for granted until it is lost. Vitality looks really good on the Christian. Vitality looks really good on the believer. It’s a beautiful thing to see a believer on fire. It’s a beautiful thing to see a believer worshiping God with passion.

It’s a beautiful thing to see a believer serving God with passion. It’s a beautiful thing to see a believer posting with passion—and all of a sudden their social media go dark, and then all of a sudden they’re not on fire, all of a sudden they’re not in church—all of a sudden whatever the case may be.

And then we know that this brother or sister is going through—here is the case what Ezekiel was dealing with at this point in time that this was written.

Background of Ezekiel
If you were not here last week, let me just give you some backdrop so we all be at the same place. Ezekiel was a prophet of God. He lived in the 590s BC. And in the year 597 BC, he was in the city of Jerusalem when it was attacked by ancient Babylon—carried off captive to ancient Babylon.

The Northern Kingdom of Israel decimated by the Assyrians. Southern Kingdom of Judah decimated by the Babylonians. Ezekiel’s among those Jews carried away from Jerusalem back to Babylon in 597 BC. He receives visions from the Lord—he’s 25 when he’s carried off—he’s 30 when God begins to speak to him, calls him into prophetic ministry.

And it was around that time in prophetic ministry when he gets this vision from God. And it’s in this vision from God—God shows him through this vision—these dry bones represented the spiritual condition of God’s people. That God’s people had lost their vitality—they had lost their strength—they had lost their way.

They had drifted far away from God—they were scattered into foreign nations—separated from God. And because they were separated, there was no nationalism at that point in time—there was no togetherness at that point in time. They were scattered—they were separated—they were bruised—they were bewildered—they were stressed—they were pushed to the fringes of society—they were marginalized—they were hurting—they were spiritually bankrupt—they were in a bad place.

And it’s in that bad place God speaks to Ezekiel and gives him this vision about the condition of His people. And I said to us—in the same place—if we be honest, a lot of us found ourselves here. In fact, from the time this series started, I’ve been getting text messages and testimonies of people—man, thank you so much for this series.

In essence, we could just thank Jesus for this series—thank the Holy Spirit for this series. Because I know you come to church with your game face on—I know your suit and your outfit is tight—I know your hair and your natural and your weave is tight—I know your face is beat.

But if we be honest, a lot of us right now—we’re in a dry place, right? A lot of us right now—we’re in a dry place. A lot of people we’re watching—we’re in a dry place. A lot of us right now have areas of our life that we wish was doing better.

And that’s why I think that when God speaks to us this word, He’s showing us from Heaven that He’s concerned about the people in this room—He’s concerned about where we are right now. So He sends this prophetic word to us to let us know that I see exactly where you are, but I’m not content to let you stay there.

Recap of Week One
And so I spoke to you last week that God was saying to us to come alive. And I was saying that God is the one who initiates life—God is the one who regenerates the dead person—transitions them from darkness into light. God is the one who saves—God is the one who reconciles people to Himself—God is the one who gives us vitality.

It’s by the Spirit of God that we are made alive—it’s by the Spirit of God we catch fire—it’s by the Spirit of God we feel that vitality. But then it’s on us to maintain that vitality. And I said to you that we can come alive, but it’s one thing to come alive—it’s another thing to stay alive.

And last week I said that if we was going to stay alive, that we was going to have to have three things. In order that we was going to have a singular devotion. And I said to you that it was going to be impossible for any believer to stay alive if we had competing loyalties.

That we cannot stay alive if we’re serving God and trying to serve His enemy at the same time. That if we have one foot in the world and one foot in the Kingdom, it’s going to be very hard to stay alive. If there’s other things that’s competing for loyalty on the throne of my heart with God, that it’s going to be very hard for us to stay alive.

That if there are other things that I love more than God, it’s going to be very hard for us to stay alive. If I’m vacillating between the world and the Kingdom of God, it’s going to be very hard for us to stay alive.

And so I challenged everybody that we need to have a singular devotion—that our heart’s affection needs to be set upon God and Jesus as believers. And if you’re not a Christian, you could just hang out with us for just a little while—God might speak to you and pull you into the Kingdom by the end of this series.

And then I said to you last week that if we was going to stay alive—not only did we need to have a singular devotion—but we also need to have a sustained discipline. That we need to have a sustained discipline.

That I said to you last week—and y’all know how this go down—man, I’m gonna go to the gym this year, right? Man, I’m going to go to the gym this year—I’m going to get buffed—no, no, I’m going to get swole this year. I’m going to go to the gym this year and buy that gym membership—and it’s catching dust, right?

I’mma buy the treadmill and I’m run on the treadmill in January—and by March it becomes a clothes hanger, right? I’mma read my Bible faithfully—so I start the Bible app—and then by March, man, we five weeks behind on the Bible app. And this ever happened to somebody before? Yes, it has happened to me—the pastor—yes, the pastor four weeks behind on your Bible app, right?

Y’all know how this go down—we get inspired in a moment—we feel like man, God spoke to us—we set out to do that thing that God spoke to us—and then after a little while we’re no longer on that track because it takes discipline to sustain inspiration.

I said to you last week that discipline is a project manager for inspiration—that we could be inspired in a moment, but discipline sustains inspiration.

And then last week I said to you—if we was going to stay alive—not only did we have to have a singular devotion, we had to have sustained discipline—anybody remember what I said to you last week? We had to have a surrendered desire.

That I said to you last week—every person in this room, everyone watching me on podcast—that we all have desires—it’s our natural longing for things. And I said that whatever was attached to our desires—whatever guided our desires—will have control or influence over our lives.

The reason that the people of God ended up in this dry place was because their desires caused them to worship false gods. And anytime you worship a false god, it will betray you. Anything you worship outside of God will betray you.

You worship money—it will betray you. You worship your job—it will betray you. You worship a rapper—they will betray you. You worship an athlete—anything you worship outside of God eventually it will betray you.

Because there is only one thing that will satisfy the deepest longings of the human heart—and that is a heart that’s attached to God—attached to the Person who created it. When creation gets attached to Creator—that is the only thing that sustains the human heart.

Everything else that we attach our desire to that is uppermost in our affections will eventually betray us. If this platform that God has given me becomes uppermost in my affections—eventually this platform will betray me.

If a person becomes uppermost in my affections—eventually that person will betray me. If anything that I attach my desires to becomes uppermost in my affections—eventually that thing will betray me.

And you know this is true because a lot of us have pursued things above God, and those things have betrayed us. And so I said that we need to have a surrendered desire—that is, your desire will always be there, but it takes the mature believer to take that desire and lay it on the altar of God and say God, I want you to purify my desires.

That’s one of the things that I pray almost every week—it’s a constant prayer for me. Because I know there’s darkness in my heart, and I know there’s things that I’m desiring in my heart. And I have to say God, am I desiring this because I really want this for you, or I want this for me?

And so one of the things that I pray often—Philip Anthony Mitchell—one of the things that I pray often—I pray God, I pray you would take out of my heart every desire for everything that is inconsistent with your plan and purposes for me.

That God, if this is not your will for me, I don’t want this. And God, if I’m longing after something that is not your will for me, I pray you would break my grip from that thing.

I pray stuff like this: God, give me an emotional release from everything that I’m desiring that I know is not your will for me. Amen. This thing has a hold on me—this platform, this whatever—this person, this house, this car—God, this thing has a hold on me.

And I pray God, anything that my heart is longing for that is not your will for me—God, give me an emotional release from this thing. Break every chain—every chain from my heart. Your heart has a chain—everything on the other side of that chain, God, that is not your will for me—shatter that chain.

Like for some of us, your heart is chained to the past—you want to keep running back to the glory days of where you came from, and God needs to break that chain. Who am I talking to? For some of us, we want to run backwards, but God is saying no—we must go forward. It’s your chain—and fill in the blank.

And one of the things I pray—God, anything that I’m desiring that is inconsistent with your will, I want you to shatter that thing on the other end of this chain.

Purifying Desires
Another thing too that I pray often when it comes to my own heart: God, help me to want the things that you want for the reasons that you want them. Hallelujah. Lord, you should start praying that: God, help me to want the things that you want for the reasons that you want them.

That is not wrong to want a husband or it’s not wrong to want a wife or it’s not wrong to want a house or it’s not wrong to want a platform—but do I want that for the reasons that He wants it? Amen.

If I say God, I pray Father that you would bless us to go to two full worship experiences—am I praying for two full worship experiences because I want to stroke my ego, or am I praying for two full worship experiences because I want to see souls saved and disciples made?

If it’s to see souls saved and disciples made, then that desire is connected with God’s will. If it’s to stroke my ego—what I’m saying out my mouth sounds good, but it’s inconsistent with God’s will because it’s not coming from a pure place.

Cuz there’s a lot of things that come out of our mouths, but it’s not coming from a pure place—it sounds good, but it’s not pure. God bless us to have two full worship experiences—sounds really good, but what’s the reason for that? Is it my ego or is it to put souls in the Kingdom? Amen.

So God, help me to want the things that you want for the reasons that you want them. Y’all want to practice that—it might get you in trouble. All right, repeat after me: God, help me to want the things that you want for the reasons that you want them.

Now you just got yourself in trouble. And then by next week when you start seeing your desires change—you know that God is working in your life.

You know the Bible says the heart is wicked and it’s deceitful—the Bible says above all, who knows it? Your own heart will deceive you—that’s why you can’t always trust your heart. Everything you desire, everything you feel, everything you want is not necessarily good for you.

That’s what the Bible says—God says in His Word that the heart is wicked—who can know it? That there are some things we want—it will lead us right into trouble because your heart is wicked, and your heart will long for things that are not good for you.

I mean come on—your heart ain’t sitting up at night just craving holiness, like come on, right? Like we’re not sitting up there just craving holiness—God, I want to be righteous, I want to be holy, man—but we’re not—it’s not all the time we’re doing that.

And some of us are really special, and we are longing that—like I am longing that—some of us are longing that. But the truth—there’s some things that we long for that are not good for us.

And so one of the safest things you can do is God, take this heart—this is what mature Christians do—God, I know what I want, but you know what—your will is greater than my will, and you’re wiser than me—you know what’s best for me. God, take this heart—crush it—rip stuff from it—and download into it what belongs there.

See, some of us are afraid to pray that because we’re afraid of what God might demand from us. What did you just say? Don’t want to let it go. Some of us are afraid to put our heart on the altar because we afraid God might take something from us or might send us to some foreign country—ain’t that true?

We don’t want to—let’s be honest—and we be—we some of us when we pray, we be real timid—we don’t want to really pray what we should be praying because we’re afraid that if we really lay our heart on this altar—if we really do this—God might say let that go.

And we don’t want to hear that because once we hear it, we’re accountable for it. Or He might send us to do something we don’t want to do. So we pray with 85% and guard that last 15—God, I’m going to keep this last 15 for me—I don’t want you to get into that last room.

So like if the house—it’s like we let Him into the lobby—we let Him in the foyer—He might slide into the living room—but don’t let Him get up the stairs—don’t let Him get in the bedroom of my heart. Don’t let Him get in the bedroom of my heart where we really get intimate—when we really get intimate—and then He rocks my world for the night, and I come out better than I was the day before.

Right? Y’all minds are really foul—your mind is foul—your mind is foul—I rebuke all of y’all in the name of Jesus—your mind is foul. Yes, God can rock your world for the night—with a Bible and a surrendered knee and no food—He will destroy you in a nighttime and have you busting out that prayer closet like I got you, Jesus!

Somebody holler at me—God can rock your world overnight. Somebody said God rock my world—God rock my world—God rocked my world—can’t do you, man—go—God can—He can rock your whole world in a nighttime. God can change your situation in one moment—with one prayer—in one night—with one verse.

I think I need to say that again—God can change your situation in a moment—with one night—with one verse—one bend of the knee. God can rearrange everything. Who am I talking to? God can rearrange everything with one word from God—He can change the course of everything.

He could change the course of everything—one word. You could be headed down the wrong road, and one word will put you on the right track. You could be dealing with the wrong group of people, and one word will put you in the right circle. Jesus—you about to make a decision, and one word will save you from ruining your life.

But you need to take those desires and surrender them to God if you want to be safe. Keep surrendering your heart to God—you want to be safe. Keep—almost every believer I know who finds themselves in trouble is because that heart is not surrendered.

It’s like if the throne is the heart—it’s like Jesus is under that throne, and their will is on that chair. Every believer—including myself—that gets themselves in trouble is because they’re speeding down a road with their will—they won’t take that heart and surrender it for fear of what God might say.

And look—He is a loving Father—He has your best interest at heart. Do you think you know more than Him? You are lousy—and I am lousy—at being God. You are lousy at being God. You ever try to be God in your own life? Yes, you have—and how does that work out for you? Hell.

You know—this don’t have nothing to do with the sermon—but you know what—thank God for the Holy Spirit. Because you know—like if anybody’s ever been lost looking for someplace—like you’re going to a wedding or you’re going—anybody’s ever been lost? Let’s say you’re out in the country, and you got T-Mobile, and your GPS not working all the time, right?

You outside Atlanta—your T-Mobile not working—your GPS not working, right? And listen—and your GPS not working—and you going to a gas station—you ask them for directions: Yo, can you tell me how to get so and so? Only one of two things happen—watch—listen—tell me which one sounds better.

They said listen—go out here—make a left—make a right—go down to the BP—make a left—make a right—go down here—make a left—and go right—cross over the bridge—you’ll see a store over there—make a left—and then go right.

Or—or—or what would it sound like if they went in there and they said—somebody said man, can you show me how to get here? And the person said all right—watch—let me get my keys—follow me. Which one makes you feel safe? Go this way—go this way—go this way—and you figure it out on your own—or someone saying to you I got you—follow me.

Jesus—and I will make you. You trying to get there with your broken GPS, and God is saying take that heart—give it to me—and just follow me. Surrendered heart—and I will lead you—I will make you.

When He rolled up on them disciples—they had businesses and all their will—He just said follow me—and I will make you.

Get a Vision
So let me tell you what I want to do with this message. What I want to do with this message—I want to take you, my brothers and sisters, and I want to put you in the text for this message. And I want to make everyone in this room—everyone watching on podcast—everyone listening—I want to make you Ezekiel for the rest of this series.

So last week it was an exhortation to you to come alive. This message and next week’s message—the last message in the series—you’re going to be Ezekiel for the rest of this series. We’re going to take you and put you in the text.

Now with that as a backdrop, let’s read verse 1 and 2 again—this time you are Ezekiel in the text. The hand of the Lord was upon me—somebody say me—me. And He brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of the valley, and it was full of bones.

And He led me back and forth among them. And that valley is going to represent your life for the rest of this series. And I saw a great many bones—where did you see them? In your life—you’re Ezekiel—on the floor of the valley, and the bones were very, very dry.

Now He said He brought me—watch this—He brought me into the valley. So God took Ezekiel and He led Ezekiel into the valley to open his eyes to see something he had not seen before. He wanted the prophet to witness and to own the deplorable state of those bones.

It reminds me of how God in a moment will show you—this area of your life is funky—this area of your life is inconsistent with my will—this area of your life is far away from me. And oftentimes before God will bring about revival and change, there must be an honest acknowledgment about where we are.

That oftentimes before God transforms something in our life, there must be an honest acknowledgment about where we are. God has a way of bringing you to your knees first before He moves in your life—because He wants to make sure that no man gets the glory for what’s about to happen, but I get the glory for what’s about to happen.

So before I bring revival, I want to show you how dry you are, Jesus. Before I bring fire, I want to show you how dry you are. Before I bring that blessing, I want to show you how needy you are. Before I empower you, I want to show you how weak you are.

Aw, Tozer said it’s doubtful that God will use a man greatly before He has broken him greatly. Before I take you and do something great with you, I want to show you how much you need me first, Jesus. Before I give you this thing that you’re asking for, I want to show you that you need me only—before I give you this thing that you’re asking for.

For some of you, there’s some things we believing God for—and the day you say God, you’re all that I need—then the thing comes, Jesus. Hallelujah, Jesus. Hallelujah. God, you’re all that I need—and if I never get my hands on that, you’re all that I need—then the thing comes—then the person comes—then the opportunity comes.

When we get to the point—God, I don’t have to have nothing else except you—you’re all that I want—you’re all that I need—I’m all self-sufficient. And it’s in that confession—then breakthrough comes.

Because sometimes God will give you something that turns into a god for you and for me, right? And so God has a way of carrying us down into the valley and showing us the deplorable condition of areas of our life.

He’ll tap you like—listen—the way—look at you—look at the way you treat people—look at how you talk—what’s up with your prayer life? You haven’t communicated with me in how long? I haven’t seen you in 3 months—and then the next time I see you, you’re asking me for something, Jesus.

When was the last time you said thank you? When was the last time you said—and He has a way of carrying us into a valley and showing us the condition of our life. What is the condition of your spiritual life today? Where have you lost vitality and strength?

What in your life has been scattered and is separated? Where in your life do you need a touch from God? Where in your life do you need revival right now? Where do you need to come alive?

As it relates to those questions in your life—in your Ezekiel—verse 3 part A—He asked you a question: Son of man, can these bones live? So He’s asking you a question—my son, my daughter—all these dry things in your life—can they live?

And He’s not asking you because He wants an answer from you—but He’s asking you because He’s trying to get a revelation to you. And when God asks you—listen—do you think that I can do something about this? He’s trying to provoke in you—it’s like it’s a question of provocation.

He’s trying to get you to have faith and foresight. He not only wanted Ezekiel to see the condition of those bones, but He wanted Ezekiel to see the reality that those bones can be revived.

That God not only wants you to see the ugly areas or the dark areas of your life, but He wants you to believe that He can bring life to those areas. That there’s some of us we’re dealing with some things, and guilt is beating us down like man, this area of my life is so foul and dark.

But God is showing you that area that’s so foul and dark because He wants you to have faith and believe that He is able to do something about your life in that area. He can revive you—He can strengthen you—He can do it—He is more than able.

And there’s no situation beyond His ability to transform—and your heart is not so far gone that He can’t resurrect. And so He brings him down to this valley for him to see.

And it’s the first statement I’m making to you right now: Get a vision. Get a vision. Now I’m very meticulous when I write my sermons—and notice I’m using the word get a vision—the word get is a code word for don’t go out and manufacture a vision.

But I’m telling you get a vision—don’t go out and manufacture a vision—but get a vision. That is—see what God is trying to say to you this year—this month—January—concerning your life. Where is God showing you that you need revival? Where is God showing you that you need change?

Where is God showing you that things have to be transformed? What is God saying to you? Instead of trying to manufacture a vision—instead of trying to manufacture sight—get a vision. Put yourself in God’s presence—say God, speak to me—show me, God—where do I need to be revived—where do I need to be restored—where do I need to come back to you in what area?

Because it’ll be easy for you to say you know what—I’m going to work on getting the platform this year—and God be saying no, no, no—not right now—I want you to work on your heart for a few months.

See, because your vision is this year I’m going to have the platform—God’s vision is this year you’re going to work on purity first. Amen. That before you should have a platform, your heart should be on the altar. Amen.

Your vision is that this year I’m going to launch the ministry—God said no, no, no—this year I want you to launch preparation. This year I’m going to do this—or this month I’m going to do this—and God said no—I want you to do this first.

And so I’m challenging everybody to get a vision—that is—instead of going out there and manufacturing what you think you need—man, take your heart and say God, right here in January—the beginning of the year—God, show me—set a direction for my life—God, show me—give me a vision—help me to see, God—what it is you want me to do—help me to see where you want me to change—help me to see where I need to do better—God, show me the jars I need to lay out so you can pour out this oil.

It’s like God is in Heaven wanting to pour oil in your life—and all He’s saying—bring me these jars. So I’m saying to you—don’t go out and manufacture a vision—but instead get a vision. Surrender your heart and plead with God—God, show me—God, where do you want to work on my life this year—what do you want me to focus on this year—God, what is your vision for my life this year?

See, now that offends some of us because you already have your plans—but the word get is a code word I’m using for draw inspiration from—get—draw inspiration. I want you to draw inspiration from God.

When God says can these dry bones live—that’s a call to hope and vision. When He said to Ezekiel can these dry bones live—and he’s standing there staring at these dry bones—that’s a call to hope and vision. He wants him to see the possibility that this thing can change.

Man, can you see that your marriage can change? Can you see that your prayer life can change? Can you see that the ministry can take off this year? Can you see that the book can be successful this year? Can you see that whatever it is that God is saying to you—can you see that thing happening this year?

Because you can’t pursue something you can’t perceive—you can’t really pursue something you can’t perceive. You have to see it to pursue it. And God—you want to get a vision—you want to put your heart in God’s presence and let Him speak to you—say my son—like my son, my daughter—this is what I want you to focus on to be this year.

Statements About Vision
A couple statements I want to give to you about vision. First statement is true vision is the discovery or the revelation of God’s will for your life in every season. Vision is not just what I manufacture for myself—this is what I want to do—that’s not true vision—that’s a good idea.

True vision is when you discover God’s will for your life in every season. You might be a mom and think man, I’m going to go travel the world this year—and God’s vision for your life this year might be be a great mom to those kids.

True vision is when I discover what God’s will is for my life in this season of my life. So in this season of my life—I’m tapped into what God is saying to me in this season of my life—I know what the vision is for my life in this season of my life.

Anyone can have a vision—but the greatest vision you’ll ever have is what God sees for you. Plenty of people have ideas and plenty of people have visions—but the greatest vision you’ll ever have is what God sees for you.

Another statement about vision: Vision is the development of foresight based on insight. That is—vision is a development of being able to see where I’m going based on knowledge that I’m getting.

So based on what God is saying to me—I’m able to see where I’m going. Some people can’t see where they’re going because they’re not hearing anything from God. And so when your clarity is foggy—where you can’t see—we need to get insight from God so we can have better foresight.

Your foresight will be more clearer to the degree that you have better insight. The more insight you have—the more information you have—the clearer your vision will be. If you’re someone—you’re saying right now I’m confused—I don’t know what my purpose is—I don’t know what God wants from me—I don’t know what I should be doing in 2017—then you need information.

And the more insight you have from God’s presence—the better your foresight will be for what God wants for your life in this season of your life.

Another statement about vision: Vision begins with the end in mind. Vision begins with the end in mind. So if God is talking to me about time management—then vision is I see myself being a perfect disciple of time management—a good steward of time management.

And that image that I see of me being a great steward of time management sets something for me to pursue after. So vision is also seeing the end in mind—is the ability to see a finished product that your heart works towards—that finished product. Does that make sense? Yes.

It’s like a realistic snapshot of an ending—and I want to encourage you this year concerning what God is saying to you—man, get a vision for what God is saying to you. Hear what God is saying to you for this season of your life—and man, write that thing down.

Okay—this is where practicality meets the road in this series. I want to challenge you—whatever God is saying to you—man, write it down. Okay—the prophet Habakkuk said this—God said to him concerning—he was complaining about when God will come and do a work for His people.

And the Lord answered me and said write the vision and make it plain on tablets so that he may run who reads it. Why did He tell him to write it? Because He wanted to give his eyes and heart something to focus on.

A vision not written is oftentimes a vision forgotten. A vision not written oftentimes becomes a vision forgotten. Write down what God is saying to you—man, I have like five things written down right now that God is saying to me—write those things down so that they be before you.

Proverbs 29:18—where there is no revelational vision, people cast off restraint—but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction. That the Scripture says where there’s no revelation—where a person cannot see where they’re going—they won’t exercise any self-control.

And so where I have a vision—where I know where I’m going—where I know what God is saying to me—it guides my decisions. Vision helps to streamline decisions. If I know God is saying to me this is what I need to be doing—then I’m not going to waste time doing something that’s inconsistent with the vision for my life in this season.

Who am I talking to? Does that make sense? And so when I have foresight—when I have vision—what God is saying to me in this season—I can eliminate wasted time doing things that’s inconsistent with what God saying to me for this season.

If God has given me a vision to do this—then I don’t have to waste my time doing that. Does that make sense what I’m saying? And so where there’s no revelation—where I can’t see—where there’s no vision—I won’t exercise control—we cast off restraint.

Vision is like a bridge from the present to the future.

Family Vision Board
So for example—right now in my house—my family and I—we are—my wife and I have been laying our hearts before God—and seeking God about what He wants to say in our lives. So I want to show you this picture—I’m putting this picture up on the screen.

And so here’s a picture of my living room—and it’s crazy—y’all see that? See my living room real crazy—crazy. And that’s my family and I—and this was our vision night—this was our vision board night—like a couple nights ago.

And so what we did as a family—we sat down—and I said Malachi, what is God saying to you? Lena, what is God—and we’ve been digging around each other’s hearts and digging around in the valley of our lives and searching for all the dry bones in the areas where we know we have been either failing God—not doing good in this area—where we sense that God is speaking to us in this area.

We sat down as a family—we put them things on boards—and we’re going to put them vision boards up so that we keep bumping into them every place that we go. And you may think that’s whack—you may think that’s corny—but I’m not going to forget what God is saying to me.

And now my eyes is fixed on something I’m going to do. Now you don’t got to go make a vision board—man, you might throw something up on your mirror—you might put something on your phone or whatever the case may be—whatever you got to do to keep that vision before you—do what’s necessary for you to keep that vision before you.

For my family and I—we made these boards. On my board—there’s five things on my board that I know God is saying to me right now—Philip, you need to do better in these areas—these are dry bones in your life that they need to come alive.

And so I took my five bones and I put them on that board—and I’m believing God that God would transform my life in these areas. My wife is believing that God would transform her life in these areas.

In fact, can I put your business in the street just a little bit? So one of the things on her board—one of the things on Lena’s board is that she said she’s believing God that God will make her more bold—just more bold.

Because y’all don’t know Miss Lena—so when we’re at home—she’s preaching my head off—that she—we come in the kitchen and she’d be preaching—she’d preach 14 sermons in like one hour—and honey—and God said da—and we need to be doing da—and why they not doing da—and they should be do—and we’re going to be doing da da da—and our kids are going to be doing da d d d—and blah blah blah blah blah.

And I’ll be looking at her like why don’t you tweet that—or why don’t you post that—or why don’t you whatever the case—it’s like she has all this wisdom—all this knowledge—she’s so this powerful little light-skinned thing—I think her heart is purer than mine—I think she’s a better Christian than I am.

And she’s full of wisdom and knowledge—she’d be dropping all this heat at home—and then one of the things on her vision board is I won’t keep that at home. Amen. That I’m going to let that explode outside the house.

And here she is in week two—have come alive—grabbing the microphone—won’t even let me start my sermon—and she up here praying the house down. Holla! And Miss Lena—you better go, girl—you better go, girl! Somebody say you better go, girl! Somebody said you better work that vision, girl—better work that—you go, girl—you going to preach this next week, girl—no.

And so I got to hurry up—let me finish. And so on her board it says—she’s believing to be more bold in public—and then she got a picture of a woman by a microphone—and she going to be staring at that all year.

She has only been looking at that for three days—and already today she had a microphone in her hand. Well, every time she go in the house—she keeps bumping into that board. Get a vision—what is God saying to you—what is He putting on your heart—what are you believing for that’s coming from the heart of God—man, write that thing down—stick it up on a mirror—keep it before you—give your heart something to work towards.

If that’s whack—but just keep it in your heart—whatever you got to do—what your thing is—get a vision.

Get a Plan
And the last thing is get a plan. Get a plan. I’m going to close with this—verse 4—then He said to me—I like this part—so you’re Ezekiel—we’re preaching principles of practicality.

So He gave him a vision—can these dry bones live? He wanted him to see the potential of revival—He wanted to see the potential of change. He says to him—prophesy to these bones and say to these bones—or dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.

He said to him—prophesy to these bones. You know what He gave Ezekiel? An instruction. You know what He gave Ezekiel? An instruction. Him saying to Ezekiel—prophesy to these dry bones—is a type of plan.

That is—revival is going to come to these dry bones not through your means but through my means. He didn’t tell Ezekiel go down there and throw water on them dry bones—He told Ezekiel go down and prophesy to these dry bones.

So in a sense what He gave Ezekiel was a plan for the vision to come to pass. So He made him identify a vision—and then He gave him a plan for the vision.

I mean—he executed—have to figure anything out—go let God show you what He wants you to do this year—and then say God, show me how to accomplish this—and ask God to give you instructions for how to bring this vision to pass.

Instead of going out there and trying to figure out how you do it on your own—why don’t you ask the Person who is all-wise and all-knowing—God, this is what you’re saying to me—show me how to accomplish this. You want me to do this, God—you want me to be better in this area, God—you want me to launch this, God—you want me to be transformed here, God—God, show me how to.

God might say to you—come to church every Sunday for the year. He might say to you—get around some people who’s reading the Bible so you stay on fire this year.

Your vision might be you know what—I want to be on fire by the summer time this year—He might say to you good—get in a V group and stay around some people who’s on fire—so when you get dry, they keep you on fire.

He might give you an instruction—the instruction we obey creates the transformation that we experience. The instruction that we disobey blocks us from the blessing that God intends for us to have.

So God might be saying to you my son, my daughter—this is what I have for you in this season—this is what I want—God, show me how to bring this to pass—and then He speaks—and gives you an instruction—He puts something in your heart.

Not only get a vision from God—but get a plan—get an instruction from God. So God is speaking to me about those things—and how it is that I’m supposed to bring those things to pass.

Closing Exhortation
You know I just want to close this with this thought—you could hear a sermon and ignore everything I say and stay right where you are—or you could really take serious this call to come alive—to get a vision and get a plan—to get in God’s presence—get His vision for your life—and let Him show you how to bring these things to pass in this year—how to transform you in that area.

You know when God spoke to Ezekiel—you know where he was in the vision? He was standing on the edge of that valley staring at all those dry bones—just like you staring at all them things going on in your life.

And when God spoke to him—and when God showed him what He wanted for his life—you know what Ezekiel had to make a decision? Either stand here and keep staring at these dry bones—or do something about it. Either stand here and keep wishing for change with these dry bones—or do something about it.

And I hear the Spirit of God speaking to you right now—my son, my daughter—you can either stand here and keep complaining about what’s dry or what’s not right or where your heart is broken—and stand there and stare at those bones—or you can get a vision from me of what I want to do in your life—and you could get a plan from me of what instruction I want to give you for your life—and then you have to make a decision what you want to do with that instruction.

I will show you something—that these dry bones can live—and I will give you an instruction on how to see these dry bones come alive—but then you have to make a decision what you want to do with that instruction.

And I hear the Spirit of God saying to so many of us in this room—man, come alive—I have vision for you—I have vision for you—I see areas your life I want to touch this year—because you have no idea what I’m going to do in 2018—and where you are right now you can’t handle what I’m about to do—I got to get you right now so you can receive what I’m about to pour out in your life.

Man, I got oil that I want to pour out on you—but I need a couple more jars that you need to give me. Man, I want to do something radical in your life—but I need you to be surrendered a little bit more in this area.

Man, I got that platform waiting for you—but I can’t put you up there yet until we deal with your heart in this area. And only if we would hear God beckoning to us to come alive—if only we would carry our hearts into His presence and get a vision of what needs to be changed—if only we would say God, speak to me—and then get a plan of what He wants me to be doing—if only we would get busy about the Father’s business—if only we would prophesy.

And you can spend the rest of this year standing on the edge of some valley staring at the mess of your life—or you can hear the love of a Father saying my son, my daughter—man, I see everything that’s hurting—I see everything that’s broken—I see where you’ve been shedding tears—I see where you have had loss—I see where the flame is going out.

And oh if you could just see what I see 6 months from now—if you could just see where I see you 3 months from now—come into my presence—let me give you a vision—come into my presence—let me speak to your heart—come into my presence—let me give you an instruction—and then obey whatever it is I tell you to do.

No prophesy—no life. Did you read that in the text? When did the breath come to the bones? After he prophesied. When did the transformation come? After we obey.

And I can only imagine how many things we’re hurting about right now that God would so easily transform if we would just get a vision and get a plan.

Somebody say God give me a vision—vision. Come on, we’re going to make a declaration right now. Somebody say God give me a vision—God give me a vision. See you staring at me—but you should be saying it for me—God give me a vision.

God—me—is it possible that there’s something God wants to do in your life that you haven’t even thought of yet? What if you’re limiting yourself to what God wants to do in your life in this year? What if what God wants to do in your life is bigger than what you want to do in this year?

What if God wants to do something that you can’t even see? What if your flesh and your ignorance is blinding you to what God wants to do in your life? God give me a vision—God give me a plan.

Man, I want to challenge you to make that your prayer this week—and to get into a small group this week—and to have some conversations with somebody this week—and to maybe lay your heart at the altar this week—and say God—you know—give me a vision, Lord—Lord, show me what’s your will for me in this season of my life—where do you want me to change—where am I falling short—what do I need to give birth to God—what is in me that you want to come out in this year—God give me a vision.

And as He’s talking to you—man, write that stuff down. See, I’m doing something practical. And then God, show me how is this going to come about—God, show me what my responsibility is for this vision that you’re shown to me.

His is to move by His sovereign will—and ours is to obey. It is human effort and divine effort that makes things come alive.

What if God saying you—I want your mind to be whole this year—and I can show you how you do that by learning how to cast stuff down? Hallelujah.

What if God is saying I want your heart to be whole this year—and I can show you how to do that by letting stuff go?

What if God has shown—I want to set you on fire this year—and I could do that by placing you around the right people?

What if God has shown you—you want—I want you to be delivered from this thing this year—and I’ll show you exactly how to do that by building these buffers?

Man, I see somebody shaking their head back there—you have no idea what God wants to do in your life until you surrender your heart to see what He wants to see.

Oh son of man—can these dry bones live? Lord, you alone know—show me. Okay, I will show you—you ready? Prophesy—prophesy—do exactly what I’m leading you to do—and watch what I do behind your obedience.

Do exactly what I’m telling you to do—and watch what I bring up. Man, somebody talk to me in this place—do exactly what I’m telling you to do—and watch what comes behind your obedience.

Lord, it doesn’t make any sense for me to prophesy to dry bones—my command doesn’t have to make sense—prophesy. Hallelujah.

Lord, it doesn’t make any sense for me to walk in there—and I don’t have the qualifications for that job—I didn’t ask you about qualifications—go knock on that door.

God, it doesn’t make any sense for me to start this thing—I didn’t ask you about that—do this right now. He didn’t ask you about making sense—all He said was prophesy, Jesus.

Who said anything about sense? And some of us like deer with headlights—not real—and God is right above your head wanting to show you vision and give you instructions that may change the course of your life this year.

This year—some of you limped out of 2016—and God wants to do something radical in your life this year—He wants to open that door this year—He wants to heal that heart this year—He wants to make that mind whole this year—He wants to restore that broken thing this year—He wants to deliver you from that this year—He wants to elevate you this year—He wants to do a new thing this year.

How is that going to happen? Get a vision—get a plan—get a vision—get a plan. Hallelujah.

Can these dry bones live? I want to say to you yes—hallelujah—hallelujah. Can this thing change? Yes. Can that door open? Yes. Can that thing happen? Yes. Can He transform you in that area? Yes.

Somebody shout God give me a vision—God give me a vision. Come on, I know you’ve been searching what am I supposed to be doing—somebody shout God give me a vision.

Come on right now—somebody shout God give me a vision. Lord—come on—He can hear—He’s not deaf—somebody said God give me a vision—God give me a vision—God give me a vision.

Lord, speak to my heart—God—come on—somebody declare something right now—speak to my heart, God—show me, Lord—somebody shout show me, Lord—show me, Lord—give me a vision—show me, Lord—show me, Lord—show me, God.

Somebody say God give me a plan—give me a plan.

Final Prayer
Eternal God and wise Father, Jesus—God, we all like sheep have gone astray and have wandered, God, and have found ourselves in dry places and have things in our life, God, that we wish would be better.

Oh God, you are wise and you are all-knowing—for you see the revival you want to bring in these areas. God, I pray for my brothers and sisters—I even pray for the unbeliever that they might call on your name.

God, give us visions—God, show us the areas where we need to come alive—the areas in our life where we can’t even see, God—that things have dried up—where we have been miserable—where we have been dead—where we’re treading down the wrong path—God, give us a vision.

God, Lord—show us your perfect will for our lives in this month—in this season—in this hour. God, speak to our hearts, God.

And God, I pray as you’re speaking to us that we would write some things down—that we would put some things before our eyes—that God you would give us a plan—you would give us direction—you would give us directives, God, on how to bring about the thing that you’re calling us to do.

As you spoke to the Shulamite woman, God, through the prophet to go gather jars and not a few—God, would you speak to us now—show us what jars we need to gather now—show us what doors we need to knock on now.

God, I feel—oh I feel—for somebody there’s a divine connection coming for you this year—and all you need to be is in the right place at the right time—and God is going to make the connection. Whoever that’s for—receive that.

God, I pray—whoever that’s for—you’ll put them in the right place at the right time—with the right attitude—with the right handshake—to make that connection.

God, give us a vision—and God give us a plan. We want to see revival in our lives in this year—in the name of Jesus. We want to see restoration—in the name of Jesus. We want to see healing—in the name of Jesus. We want to be delivered—in the name of Jesus. We want to be restored—in the name of Jesus. We want vitality—in the name of Jesus. We want to kick open a door this year—in the name of Jesus. Jesus, we want to lay our hands on the thing we’ve been believing for this year—in the name of Jesus. We want to go to another level—in the name of Jesus. We want two full worship experiences this year—in the name of Jesus. We want more souls—give us souls lest we die—in the name of Jesus.

Give us a vision—and give us a plan. And I pray you come with the icing on the cake next week. Hallelujah. To get us on our way.

God, we love you and we honor you—in Jesus' mighty name we pray, amen. Amen.

Give us a vision—give us a plan—give us a vision and give us a plan.
