Summary
This sermon launches a new series on missions, titled «Embrace God’s Mission,» centered on the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18–20). The core mission for every believer is to «make disciples» of all nations—not just «go,» but intentionally disciple others through engaging, baptizing, and teaching obedience to Christ. To embrace this mission joyfully, believers must adopt Jesus' perspective: see people with His eyes (noticing their pain), feel His compassion (heart moved to action), and sense His urgency (harvest is plentiful, workers few—beg the Lord to send laborers, including yourself). Examples include Jesus' outreach to the Samaritan woman and contrasts with the judgmental Pharisees. Practical application: Start discipling at home, school, workplace; recognize eternal souls and the uniqueness of salvation in Christ.
New Series: Missions — Embrace God’s Mission
Today, we start a new series on missions. My topic today is Embrace God’s Mission. Can you turn to your neighbor? Tell your neighbor, embrace God’s mission.
I am reminded of a story of a young man who was complaining about his iPad. Are you familiar with an iPad? He said, my iPad is no longer working. And he was so sad. So his friend asked him, what’s wrong with your iPad? He said, you know, I left my iPad on the floor and my grandmother came and she stepped on it thinking it was a weighing scale. Why are you laughing? Because the purpose of the iPad is not to measure how heavy you are. It’s not a weighing scale. What is it for? Something else, am I correct?
Now, my friend, if you do not know God’s purpose for your life, you are going to mess up your life. You will live a sad, miserable life. Many of you have purpose, have a mission in life. For some of you, it is probably, you want to make a lot of money. You want to be popular. You want to have a happy family. Nothing wrong with that. But that is not your mission in life. Your primary mission is something else. I submit to you, the greatest tragedy is not death. But what? But life with the wrong purpose. I’ve seen this in many of my friends. When they were younger, they think their purpose for life is really to experience the greatest number of pleasure. Have the greatest number of relationships. Have a wonderful family, have a wonderful business. Those are all good. But they will leave you empty.
The Great Commission: Matthew 28:18–20
Let’s look at Matthew chapter 28. This is the last recorded sentence in the book of Matthew before Jesus went to heaven. Everybody, let’s read this together. «Jesus came up, spoke to them, saying…» everybody, «All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth». All authority. So Jesus is telling us He’s the commander-in-chief. All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. With that authority, He is now giving you a very important assignment. Let’s read the next verse. «Go…» everybody read, «Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age».
Now, everywhere I go when I teach this verse, I always give them a short exam. If you are in CCF, you have probably passed the exam. However, just in case you are new, I want you to know and take notice of verse 19 and 20. There are many verbs in the English translation. Verb number one is go. Verb number two is make disciples. Verb number three is to baptize. Verb number four is to teach them. All right, You have only one chance to raise your hand. You must raise your hand at least once. If you don’t, I’m going to call you. Okay? So how many of you believe with all your heart, the verb in Matthew 28: 19 and 20. The primary verb in your mind. what God wants to emphasize is go. Raise your hand. Go. Okay. Up to now, you have people who like the family name Mr. Go. Go.
How many of you says it’s baptize? Baptize? Raise your hand. One, two, three. All right. How many of you, say teach, to teach them? Raise your hand. The primary verb in the Great Commission. The primary main verb is make disciples. Everybody say that with me, make disciples. All right. Make disciples, in the original language, is the primary verb. Go is called verbal participle. It is supporting the main verb. How do you make disciples? As you go. You’ve got to go to make disciples. But it is not the main. It’s called engaging people. How do you make disciples? You have to baptize them. How do you make disciples? You’ve got to teach them. Observe. But what’s the main verb? Make disciples.
So everybody turn to your neighbor. Tell your neighbor. Make disciples. So whatever you do, whatever you do, you are a teacher, a mother, a father, a business executive. Your primary task is to make disciples within the spheres of your influence. Whoever God has given you. For example, in my case as a father, I disciple my wife. As a father, leader, I disciple my five children. I try to disciple my grandchildren, but I have to be careful because their primary disciplers are their parents. However, you must assume that responsibility. You’ve got to make disciples. To make disciples is different from believer. Believing is the first step. It’s not enough to believe, you’ve got to follow, obey Jesus. Your life has to be transformed. That’s a disciple.
In the Bible, the New Testament, the word Christian is only used three times in the entire New Testament. Christians are not called Christians. They are called disciples. So turn to your neighbor. Tell your neighbor, are you a disciple? That, my friend, is the primary mission. Therefore, Jesus is now going to disciple His disciples. Do you understand? The context of today’s message is Jesus is now going to disciple His disciples. He’s going to teach them something. But before we leave this great command, I want you to notice something. This is a command. Make disciples is a command. It is not a suggestion. If you are not obeying or if you fail to understand, you are seriously in violation of the will and the command of the Lord Jesus. And that is serious.
In military terms, you are going to be court-martialed for disobedience. And many Christians are not taught or discipled. They don’t understand discipleship. That’s why in CCF we focus on making the main thing the main thing. Make disciples. I like the quotation of David Livingstone, amazing doctor who went to Africa. «If a commission by an earthly king is considered an honor, how can a commission by a Heavenly King be considered a sacrifice»? If you are honored to serve, should the president of the Philippines ask you to serve him, would it be an honor? Yes or no? What if the King of Kings asked you to serve Him? Would it be an honor?
Ladies and gentlemen, I consider the highest honor to serve the King of Kings. And the King of Kings is whom I serve. If you fail to understand this, you will become, you can get tired of serving Jesus, you can begin to grumble, you can begin to complain because you don’t obey because of the Lord. You are trying to obey to make people happy. My friend, you are going to serve the King of Kings by obeying Him. So are you a disciple of Jesus, yes or no?
How to Embrace God’s Mission: Matthew 9:36–38
Look at these short verses. I’m going to teach you, Matthew chapter nine. How do you embrace God’s mission for your life? How, after knowing it’s His mission, how do you embrace it? Let’s read Matthew chapter nine. I just want to read a few verses together, everybody. Seeing the people, What happened? He felt compassion for them because they were distressed, dispirited, Like sheep without a shepherd. Let’s read the next verse. Then He said to His disciples, the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.
In these few verses, I’m going to give you a few important observations. How do you embrace God’s mission for your life? Based on these few verses? Are you ready? Remember, Jesus is going to disciple His people to embrace God’s mission for all of their lives. Okay? How do you embrace it? The word embrace means it becomes personal. You want to own it. You want to serve— you want to do it with joy. Amen?
So three main ideas. Number one, you must learn to have the eyes of Jesus. Number two, have the heart of Jesus. And number three, you must have the urgency of Jesus. In these few verses you will see the eyes of Jesus, how He sees people. And you will learn the heart of Jesus, how it impacted Him. And then you will see the importance of the urgency of the situation. There was a crisis. There was a problem. All right. Let’s begin with verse number… verse 36. «Seeing the people, He felt compassion».
1. Have the Eyes of Jesus
Let me ask you, question number one. How do you see people? Do you see people as a problem, as a burden, or are you able to be like Jesus? When you see the crowd, you notice them. You notice that people are hurting. You notice their pain. You see, some of us are so self-centered. We’re not able to empathize with people because all you think about is your own life, your own problem. You don’t even bother when you look at people to realize some of them are in pain. Some of them are hurting. I’m still learning to follow Jesus, to have the eyes of Jesus.
You know, to show you the contrast, you see the eyes of the Pharisees and the eyes of Jesus. The contrast is something that is so shocking, okay? Let’s look at Matthew chapter nine, verse ten. On the same chapter, okay, you see the preceding verses. «It happened as Jesus was reclining at the table in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and were dining with Jesus and His disciples». The context of this is simply this, Jesus, when He saw Matthew, the chief tax collector, considered a sinner by the Jews, He invited Matthew. «Matthew, come follow Me». Matthew was shocked because Matthew was not even allowed to go to the temple, because he was working for the Roman government. He was a tax collector. But Jesus saw him not as he is, but based on what he can become. You see, when God looks at people, He does not see you as you are now. He sees what you can become. God sees the people. God sees the tax collectors. God sees the sinners. He does not cancel them. He loved them. He has compassion for them.
No wonder the Bible tells us «tax collectors, sinners came and were dining with Jesus and His disciples. Do you know why Matthew invited all of his barkada, all the tax collectors. Matthew said, „you come with me. Let’s have dinner with Jesus“. So they came to Jesus. But look at the Pharisees. These are religious people like some of us here. You know the Bible. You grew up in churches. You know a lot, but you don’t have compassion. You don’t see people as Jesus sees. You are critical. Look, when the Pharisees saw this, they said to His disciples, everybody… „Why is your teacher eating with the tax collectors and sinners“? What was their problem? They had no compassion.
2. Have the Heart of Jesus (Compassion)
You know the word compassion is an amazing word. Let me share with you. When the Bible tells us Jesus saw the crowd and He had compassion, the eyes of Jesus, the heart of Jesus are all interconnected. What do we mean by compassion? Okay, everybody, try to pronounce this, okay? (Don’t say siomai ok?) Splanchnizomai. Okay? It’s a Greek word. Special Greek word. It’s the strongest word for pity, and describes a compassion that moves a person to the deepest depths of their being. Literally, the bowels, the stomach. In other words, compassion. Once you have the compassion of Jesus, the heart of Jesus, the eyes of Jesus, you are going to do something. You will not just talk about the problem, you will do something about the problem.
Some of us are talkers. We keep on complaining, but you are not doing anything about it. You just do something with your mouth. Critical. Talk, talk, talk. Not Jesus. Eyes of Jesus, He sees the problem. Compassion. Moves into action. The origin. Spurgeon wrote, „The original word is a very remarkable one. It is not found in classical Greek. In fact, it was a word coined by the early Christian evangelists“. That word is not really found in classical Greek, because many people who don’t have Jesus is not able to love. You are not able to take action. You need Jesus to open your eyes, to open your heart. Are we clear?
So how do you embrace God’s mission? Have the eyes of Jesus, have the heart of Jesus. What do we mean the heart of Jesus? Look, the Bible tells us. Let’s read that verse one more time. „Seeing the people—“ with His eyes, „He felt compasion—“ It moved His heart „for them because they were distressed, dispirited—“ You know the word distressed, dispirited. beaten down, broken. You know, some of us, some of you are so down. You look good on the outside, but deep down in your heart you are down. You are discouraged. You feel like giving up. I have good news for you. God sees you. God knows you today. And God says, „I am with you. I’m going to help you“. Comprende? That is the Lord. „Like sheep without a shepherd“. You know, when God looks at people, He’s always concerned.
And I want you to see this illustrated in Luke chapter 15, verse one and two. Let’s read this together. Luke 15, verse one and two. All the tax collectors and the sinners were coming to Jesus. You know sinners, they love Jesus. Look at what Jesus explained. Let’s read the next verses. „When Jesus heard this, He said,“ everybody read now. „It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick“. „Go and learn what this means: 'I desire compassion and not sacrifice.' I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners“. Look at Jesus. The Pharisees and the scribes were grumbling. This man receives sinners and what? Eats with them. Excuse me. What’s wrong with that? Unless you have the eyes of Pharisees. Critical. Not loving.
I pray that all of us will have the heart of Jesus. The biggest challenge for God’s people is to love like Jesus. Love your enemies. Love difficult people. If you only love nice people, you are no different. Perhaps you need to know who Jesus is because Jesus tells us, „Follow Me“. Remember the command of Jesus? Love your enemies. Your family members are not your enemies. I want to ask you a serious, serious question. If your family members are not believers and they look at your life, will they be attracted to Jesus? They look at your behavior, How do you behave? My friend, if you are not acting in a loving way, something is wrong. You are not embracing God’s mission. God’s mission is to make disciples. You cannot make disciples until you become a disciple yourself. That’s my concern with a lot of Christians. If you are just focused on Bible knowledge, Bible knowledge, you become legalistic, you become judgmental, and you fail to have the eyes of Jesus and you begin to not have the heart of Jesus.
3. Have the Urgency of Jesus
It is in this context that you understand the next verse. Look at the next verse. He told them this parable. „What man among you, if he has a hundred sheep and has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open pasture, and go after one which is lost until he finds it“? Do you understand the context of that famous story, the Lost Sheep? The Lost coin? Understand that story? It has to do with the heart of God, the heart of Jesus, because Jesus cares for people. Can you tell your— can you tell your neighbor? God cares for you. God loves you. The heart of Jesus. God cares for you.
You know, having the eyes of Jesus, having the heart of Jesus, you need to have the urgency of Jesus. What do we mean by the urgency of Jesus? The word urgent means something important, something very critical. So let’s look at Matthew 9: 37, 38. He said to His disciples, the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Here is a problem. The critical problem is this: the harvest is plentiful. Now, if you are in agriculture, you know the seriousness of the problem. When palay (rice) is ready to be harvested but you don’t harvest it, what happens? What happens to mangoes? Mangoes? When it’s ready for harvest, and you don’t harvest it? What will happen? You see, it will rot, it will be destroyed. The same thing with rice. or typhoon will come, but you will lose the crop. It’s a crisis. It’s very important. Therefore, the eyes of Jesus, the heart of Jesus, move Him to urgency. „The harvest is plentiful“.
Now, for some people, they don’t see the souls of men, they’re ready to be harvested because you are so preoccupied with your own life, you don’t think of others. Now, this is something you need to understand. The word beseech is translated in some of your English Bible, pray earnestly. That is not strong enough. Literally, the Greek word for beseech has the idea of you beg. It’s desperation time. It is something so serious that the NASB translated it as beseech. It is not just pray earnestly. You see, many people misunderstand this verse. They think the answer to missions is let’s have prayer meeting. I believe in prayer meeting. But this is more than prayer meeting. It is begging, it is asking God to do something in such a way that you begin to volunteer yourself. That’s the idea. It is something so serious it has to happen.
And that’s why the Bible tells us, „beseech the Lord of the harvest—“ God, Jesus, is the Lord of the harvest. He is the Lord of the souls. „—send out workers“. Did you know that in the book of Luke. In the book of Luke, exactly the same passage, it talks about the meaning of sending out workers. Let’s look at the book of Luke, chapter ten. Exactly same idea. Let’s read together. „He was saying to them, 'The harvest is plentiful, the laborers are few, beseech the Lord—“ Beg. Pray earnestly, in desperation. „—To send out laborers into His harvest“. Notice boom! Go! You see, when you pray for God’s solution, eventually you need to volunteer as God’s answer to the problem. You cannot just pray, pray, pray. You have to volunteer. You’ve got to get involved.
Convictions for Urgency
You know, one of the things that has hit me tremendously in the last few years is certain convictions of the heart. I realize why this is vital, why this is crucial. There are certain convictions you must have to embrace God’s mission. You must see as God sees. You must have the heart. Certain convictions so that you become urgent. Here, I’ll give you some convictions You’ve got to have. Okay. Number one, God desires everyone to be saved. That’s is God’s heart. He wants people to be saved. The Bible tells us in Timothy, it is God’s desire for all men to know Him. Number two, people are lost. People are basically lost. When I say lost, what does it mean? There are. There is life after death, okay? It’s not the end. Death is not the end. You’ve got to have this perspective. You will spend eternity either in heaven with Jesus or in hell without Jesus.
If you don’t have this conviction that people are lost, that God wants to save them, and that there is life after death, you will never embrace God’s mission, because you think it is not really important. I believe with all my heart when Jesus said, what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his what? His soul. You have a soul. Ladies and gentlemen, can you turn to your neighbor, tell your neighbor: you have a soul. And your soul, the real you, is immortal. C.S. Lewis once said, when you talk to people, don’t take it lightly. When you communicate with people, when you joke with people, when you dine with people, you are not dining with ordinary creatures. They are not dogs. They are not cats. They’re not animals. You are communicating, interacting with immortals. You are immortal. Believe it or not, when you die, it’s not the end.
After death, The Bible tells you you will either spend eternity in hell or eternity in heaven. That’s my conviction. That’s the conviction of Jesus. In fact, I will show you a special verse by Jesus about heaven and hell. Okay, let’s. That conviction about heaven and hell. Well, you just look at your Bible because, it’s in Matthew 25: 46, Let’s read this together. „These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous, into eternal life“.
Friend, I don’t know whether you really believe in the Bible. I do. My wife believes. So, when we see people, We’re burdened. Because we don’t. we don’t look at people as just physical objects. We look at people with souls. They’re eternal. Mark 8:36. Everybody read together. „What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul“? Think about it. Another verse Acts 4:12. Conviction. „There is salvation in no one else, there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved“.
If there is another way, I will not talk about Jesus. If there are many ways to heaven, you do it your way, you do it your way, I do it my way. But if there is only one way, I owe it to you to tell you. Only Jesus died on the cross and rose again from the dead to pay for your sins. Your problem is sin. Until you are convicted that you are a sinner in need of forgiveness, you will never embrace Jesus because you think you are good enough to go to heaven. I am not good enough to go to heaven. I’m a sinner. What about you? Are you a sinner? All right. Have you been forgiven by Jesus? Louder. So, do you forgive others? Hallelujah! The most Spirit-filled people in the entire world are here. Praise God.
My friend, conviction will give you a sense of urgency.
Practical Application: Start Where You Are
My friend, I want you to consider embracing God’s mission. Example. Begin at home. Your home is your first place of ministry. Disciple your children. Disciple your wife. Disciple each other, your house-help. I praise God for my wife, she had compassion. Do you realize we have two househelp who has gone through college and now they are in the States, married Americans, all because of my wife’s compassion by helping our house help go to college, and then I don’t know how they got involved with Americans. You know, they married Americans. But, this is amazing. All I’m telling you is this. Your househelp are individuals. They are important. Rich or poor, have the eyes of Jesus, have the heart of Jesus and have sense of urgency.
What about your school? Well, your school is your mission field. We are challenging all Dgroups to adopt a campus. CCF has mapped out the entire Philippines 100 plus thousands, many campuses. We plan to penetrate each one of them. We want to reach the young people. Amen? So please, volunteer, please volunteer. What about workplace? Your office? You should be salt and light in your office. You know why? That’s where God placed you. All I’m telling you is this. To embrace God’s mission, you don’t wait until we send you to Siberia or send you to, you know, Timbuktu. My friend, wherever you are now, can you embrace God’s mission? Yes or no? All right. At home, your neighborhood, your office, your school. Amen?
Jesus' Model: The Samaritan Woman (John 4)
All right. Let me share with you how Jesus modelled this. As we close, The Samaritan woman is an amazing story of the example of embracing God’s mission to reach for the lost. You see, once upon a time, the Samaritans do not talk to Jews. They will never speak to each other. But Jesus went out of His way. He took the initiative. The Bible tells us He passed through Samaria. He did not have to pass through Samaria from Galilee to Jerusalem. He passed through Samaria. Why? Look at John four verse seven. He wanted to speak to a lady, „a woman of Samaria to draw water“.
Jesus took the initiative. Jesus got out of His comfort zone to talk to a Samaritan, which the Jews don’t speak to. They look down on the Samaritan. And not only that, He spoke to a woman. He crossed a cultural barrier. To reach out to somebody, you must be willing to get out of your comfortable zone. Go out of your comfort zone to reach out to people. You know what the Samaritan woman said? This is what she said. She said, „How is it that You, being a Jew, ask me for a drink of water“ She’s a Samaritan. „I am a Samaritan woman“?
You see, even the girl was surprised. What? Why? But Jesus is amazing. Jesus knows how to evangelize people. Now He’s doing this, remember now, to teach you and me a lesson. You know what Jesus said to the Samaritan woman? You know I’m offering you living water. Water that you would never thirst again. Remember, they were in the well. So Jesus used a need of the woman, „I’m thirsty“, maybe, Jesus said, „I offer you living water“. You know what is living water? What is it? Of course living water is something, it’s a figure of speech. It is not alkaline water. Oxygenated water. Carbonated water? No. It’s just a figure of speech to get the attention of the woman. The woman said, please give me the water. Boom! Jesus said, okay, I’ll give you that water. Call your husband. The woman was shocked. Look at that verse. You know, Jesus said to her, you want living water? Call your husband.
Now, ladies and gentlemen, what does her husband got to do with living water? You know the lady, the woman said. Let’s look at what she said. „I have no husband“. „Jesus said to her, 'You have correctly said I have no husband.'“ You know why? Jesus said. You say you have no husband? Look, Jesus said, „you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband“. You are living in. If you are the woman, what would you say? I’m asking for living water. And Jesus now tells me, call your husband. And now He discovered I have had five husbands. And the one I have now is not even my husband. You see, the first step to coming to Jesus is to see your real self. Until you realize you are a sinner in need of a Savior, you will not appreciate Jesus.
You see this woman, Jesus knew she has been lonely, looking for happiness in the wrong place, looking for security in the wrong place. Thinking a husband will satisfy all my problems. Ladies and gentlemen, some of you are looking for a perfect husband. Some of you are looking for a perfect wife. I am telling you, you will never find them. No one is perfect. Nobody can make you happy. If you are thinking by changing this guy’s behavior, changing her behavior, changing your children’s behavior will make you happy, you are dead wrong. There’s a vacuum in the heart. Only God can satisfy your heart. And that’s what the woman discovered. And the woman said, You must be the Messiah. Are you the Messiah?
And finally, Jesus said, you want to know what Jesus said? I am the Messiah. „The woman said, 'The Messiah is coming. He will declare all things.'“ Everybody read this. „Jesus said to her, 'I who speak to you am He.'“ Jesus finally revealed Himself. I am the Savior. You know what happened to this woman? Look at the next verse. „The woman left her waterpot“. The most important thing for her was water. She discovered something more important. She left it right there. „Went into the city—“ I want you to know something. Everybody can embrace the mission of God like this woman, this woman was a young Christian, a new Christian, one minute old Christian, one hour old Christian. You know what she did? She embraced God’s mission. She went to the town.
Let me show you what she. what she did. „See a man who told me all the things that I have done. This is not the Christ, is it? They went out of the city and were coming to Him“. Jesus. This woman told the men of the town. Somebody told me everything. Can you guess why all the men came out? Maybe they know this woman. Maybe they had a relationship with this woman, they gossip about her, I do not know. But the Bible tells us the men came up. Read the next verse. „Do you no say, 'There are yet four months and then comes harvest? ' Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes look on the fields, they are white for harvest“. You know the context of this verse? As the men were coming down, the disciples were sitting around Jesus, and Jesus rebuked the disciples because the disciples did not evangelize Samaritans. It was this woman. And when all the Samaritan people were coming down, Jesus says, look. The harvest is plentiful. Do not say it’s not time. It’s now.
My friend, you know what happened to Samaria? Let’s read the next verse. The Bible tells us. From. everybody read. „From that city, many of the Samaritans believed in Him because of the word of the woman. 'He told me all the things that I have done.'“ Because of this woman. She was able to reach out. Imagine, you don’t have to be an old Christian. All you need to do is to tell people what God has done for your life. The sad thing is this some of you have no stories to tell. You don’t see any changes in your heart, in your life. So you have no story to tell. I have many stories to tell. I’m a sinner. I know what God did in my life. He changed me. Has God changed your life? Everybody read together. „Many more believed because of His word; and they were saying to the woman, “ I love this. „It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves and know that this one is indeed the Savior of the world“.
Global Perspective: 10/40 Window & Coca-Cola Analogy
So my friend, I want you to open your eyes. The field is white and to harvest As we close, let me give you just some sobering statistics, okay? Two thirds of the entire world live in the 10/40 window. 4.4 billion people live in our region. I will show you now the map. This is the map of the world. This is the 10/40 window. 90% of the world’s unreached people group, 90% live in this area. Let me share with you some example of the countries. You have Philippines, China, Malaysia, India, Middle East, Northern Africa. This region. Are you listening to me? The only so-called Christian nation is what? Philippines. I don’t know why God made the Philippines so beautiful and so handsome that we’re all over the world. Are you aware of that?
Filipinos are all over the world. What are we doing? I hope we will be sharing the Gospel. That’s why we have a division in CCF, We have a division In CCF helping OFW, to train them. But let me share with you the main point. The main point is this: the biggest Hindu nation in the world is in this area. 10/40 window. The biggest Buddhist nation in the world, the biggest number of Buddhism is in 10/40 window. The biggest Muslim nation in the world, the biggest number of Muslims is in 10/40 window. And my friend, God miraculously placed you. Okay. Can you see yourself in the map? You are here. You are right here. Okay, everybody, I will point. You are right here. Somewhere here. And what must you do? Embrace God’s mission.
As we close, are you familiar with this? What is this? Everybody. Louder. Coca-Cola. Coca-Cola was founded almost 100 years ago. Years later, the president, Woodruff became the president. He had a vision. His vision is what? „A Coke within arm’s reach of desire“. His vision was to make Coca-Cola global. That anybody that is thirsty can buy Coke. It will be available to all the world. That is his vision, to promote a soft drink called Coca Cola. Secretly, it is not even that healthy. Okay. But what shocked me was the president of the company, in less than 100 years, Coca Cola fulfilled that mission. Coca Cola was the first company to reach China with the brand Coca Cola. You go all over the world, you will see what? Coca Cola in less than 100 years.
God gave us the same vision 2000 years ago. To tell Jesus to everybody. But today, Coca Cola has fulfilled its vision. Christianity has failed miserably. If Coca Cola would satisfy temporal thirst, our Jesus would satisfy eternal thirst. Amen? Question. Question. What are you doing about it? What are you doing about it? You are not even sharing Christ in your sphere of influence. How much more the unreached?
Closing Prayer
Let’s bow our heads. Let’s pray. I pray that as you bow your heads, God will speak to you. Number one, do you have Jesus? Number two, will you embrace His mission? I pray that today you will say, Lord Jesus, I will embrace Your mission. Pray this prayer with me. Lord Jesus, Here I am. Send me. I will embrace Your mission. Help me Lord, to live a life glorifying, honoring, pleasing to You. That my mouth and my life will match. In Jesus' name we all pray, Amen and amen.
