Perry Stone - Ten Amazing Prophetic Prodigies In Israel
TOPICS: Bible Prophecy, Israel

Summary:
The preacher highlights God’s supernatural preparation of Israel for the Messianic Age through hidden prophetic codes in the Torah verses that align with modern Jewish calendar years, especially the miraculous rebirth of Israel in 1948. Using Deuteronomy 30 and other scriptures, he shows how verse numbers match key historical events like the nation’s restoration and the land becoming fruitful. The main point is that these «prophetic prodigies» — unusual events fulfilling ancient predictions — are clear signs we are living in the end times leading to the Messiah’s return.

I’m going to be dealing with 10 amazing prophetic prodigies in Israel, evidence that God is preparing Israel for the Messianic Age. Many of you have a book I’ve written called Deciphering the End Time Prophetic Code. In there, we discuss the Torah, the first five books of the Bible.

The Hidden Structure of the Torah
Most of you are aware that a Torah scroll has no verses and no numbers. It just contains 42 lines of Hebrew words, one section after another. We won’t go into detail about that other than to tell you that our Bible was organized into chapters and verses in 1382 by a man named Wycliffe.

In the Hebrew Bible, which consists of the five books of Moses, the verses and chapter headings were added by a rabbi in the year 1448. The Torah, as you know, has five books but includes a total of 5,852 verses that rabbis have inserted into the actual five books of Moses if you were to read it from a book instead of just a scroll.

Verse Numbers and Prophetic Alignment
Now, if we look at these verse numbers, for example, what is the 4,000th verse in the Torah? What is the 5,000th verse in the Torah? If we take those verse numbers and translate them into the Jewish year, it becomes very interesting.

The 5,780th verse in the Torah corresponds to the year 578 on the Jewish calendar, which aligns with our year of 1948. If you read the 5,780th verse in the Torah, here’s what it says: «The Lord God will bring you into the land which your fathers possessed, and you will possess it, and He will do good to you and multiply you above your fathers.»

It predicts that Israel would return to the land and would be blessed more than their fathers were. Guess what year that happened? The year 578 on the Jewish calendar, which corresponds to 1948, matching the 5,780th verse in the Torah.

I looked further into this and examined 5,712, which corresponds to 1952, and found that it refers to Deuteronomy 30:9, predicting that the land of Israel would start to become fruitful. Guess what happened? Around that time, David Ben-Gurion, the Prime Minister of Israel, began to go into the desert, making it blossom like a rose and establishing agriculture in Israel.

Future Predictions and Current Events
One of the things I did was look at what we call the latter verse predictions. I examined the years 2015 to 2032, aligning them with the Torah verses corresponding to those years. I won’t get into that today, but listen to what I found. There would be government corruption, rebellion, diminishing food supplies, and all sorts of terror. Come on, somebody! You didn’t hear what I just said.

That analysis is based on taking those Torah verses, matching them with the corresponding Jewish years, and translating it back to our calendar years from 2015 to 2032.

Now, that’s all interesting, and I enjoy exploring topics like this. But let us look at Scripture.

Four Key Prophetic Terms
First of all, there are four prophetic terms that ministers use today who deal with the prophetic word of God. I’m going to give you these terms: signs, harbingers, prodigies, and omens. These four terms are commonly used.

What is a sign? It’s an event whose occurrence indicates the fulfillment of something predicted in the Bible.

What is a harbinger? Jonathan Cahn, the author and rabbi, has popularized this term. A harbinger is a person or thing that announces or signals the approach of another person or thing.

Then what is a prodigy? That’s the word I chose to use tonight. A prodigy is an amazing or unusual thing or event that indicates the fulfillment of something predicted. We’ll cover ten of those shortly.

What is an omen? An omen is an event regarded as a portent of either good or evil. It’s a good omen or a bad omen, closely related to the concept of a sign.

Three Types of Signs in Scripture
Now, there are three types of signs that I can identify as existing in prophetic contexts. Number one is spoken signs. Spoken signs include assertions like «Israel will be a nation, ” „Jerusalem will be the capital in the last days, ” „There will be a battle of the end time, ” or „The Jews will return from the nations of the world.“ These are known as spoken signs.

The second category is cosmic signs. Cosmic signs include events such as the plagues in Egypt when the sun was darkened, the sun standing still during Joshua’s time, the sundial going backward in the days of King Hezekiah, or the star that led the wise men to where Jesus was born. These are referred to as signs of the heavens or cosmic signs.

The third category in the Bible is called miraculous signs. The opening of the Red Sea was a miraculous sign. The Jordan River opening for the children of Israel to cross was another miraculous sign. The walls of Jericho falling—how many of you know that was a miraculous sign because it wasn’t caused by an earthquake? It was done by the supernatural power of God.

Authenticating the Bible’s Accuracy
But one of the things that amaze me is that when we discuss Scripture, many people will ask, „Well, how can you trust the Bible? How do we know this? How do we know it’s accurate? How do we know that you aren’t interpreting it oddly?“ Okay, let’s explore that because I want to show you four amazing discoveries.

I’m going to share three right now that help authenticate Scripture. From 1948 to 1952, the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in caves in an area called Qumran. One of the scrolls contained the book of Isaiah, written in the ancient Hebrew language, from chapter 16 all the way to chapter 66. When you read it and translate it, it closely matches what we read in our Bibles because it is from the Masoretic text, which is what our Bible was translated from into English.

Number two, in Masada. Most of you know where Masada is. The central picture here shows the synagogue that was excavated in Masada, a fortress atop a mountain near the Dead Sea on the Israeli side, where Jewish rebels held out against the Romans. When the Romans were about to capture them, they built a massive ramp to reach the top of the cliff in the Judean wilderness. The people committed suicide to avoid falling into slavery under the Roman Empire, shocking even the Roman general overseeing the siege, who could not believe that the Jewish people would choose death over slavery.

However, when this synagogue was excavated in the mid-1960s, a fragment of an amazing verse of Scripture was found underneath the floor in a pit. Are you ready for it? In this synagogue, they found Ezekiel chapter 37. Ezekiel 37 describes the valley of dry bones, where God says, „You’re dried up, you’re dead, and you’re in your grave, but I’m going to bring you back to the land of Israel.“ Isn’t that incredible? Right there under the synagogue floor, where all the Jews lost their lives, during the time when the temple was destroyed in 70 AD, all of this was occurring.

The Rejoicing Stone and the Gabriel Stone
The third thing I want to mention is something called the Rejoicing Stone. If you’ve been on a Holy Land trip with me, you’ve seen the Rejoicing Stone. This stone was discovered in 1967. An archaeologist named Mazar was excavating after the '67 war and found this stone on the wall of Jerusalem, on the western wall side. It features a quote from Isaiah 66:14, which reads, „When you see this, your heart shall rejoice.“

The verse this stone originates from is remarkable because it deals with Israel becoming a nation again in a day. Someone carved this inscription, possibly in the second or third century, saying that when you see this—it had been hidden beneath dirt for years, unnoticed—Mazar unearthed it after Israel recaptured Jerusalem. Come on! They made Jerusalem the capital of Israel and divided the city, reclaiming it as the capital.

However, the most dramatic discovery—and I’m hoping to take you to the Israeli Museum on my partner’s tour to Israel, which we’ve never done in all of history because there’s a new display there. My dear friend Gideon Shore took me there this past year when we had an extra day, and I was completely blown away.

There is a recently discovered artifact called the Gabriel Stone. The Gabriel Stone was found near the Dead Sea, protruding from the ground, and someone noticed it had writing on it. It is a three-foot tablet of solid stone, very thick, containing 87 lines of Hebrew writing.

Some sections are smeared with ink, making them unreadable, but listen to this: It records a vision on stone dating back to 1 BC, before the birth of Jesus Christ. It discusses how God would come with chariots to save the city of Jerusalem and how there would be wars, with God raising leaders to defeat the enemy. At the end of the stone, the message is clear, with the man asking, „Who are you giving me this message?“ The response is written, „I am Gabriel.“

This is the first time the angel Gabriel’s name has been found inscribed on anything outside the Bible, making this stone a significant discovery. It is on display at the museum near the Hebrew University, specifically at the Shrine of the Book.

Four Prophetic Indicators of the End Times
I’m sorry. I should correct that—it is at the Shrine of the Book. Now, there are four prophetic indicators in our time. These discoveries being made reveal scriptures and biblical names, all wonderful. But as we delve into the Bible, let’s ask ourselves this question: What are the four prophetic indicators suggesting we’re in the time of the end? Here are the four:

Number one is the Israel indicator, concerning the nation of Israel. Number two is the Jerusalem indicator, as prophecies in the Bible indicate Jerusalem will be a cup of trembling in the last days and a problem to all nations in terms of conflict. Number three is the Jewish immigration indicator, meaning the Jews are returning from all over the world. Number four is what we call the cosmic activity indicator.

We’re going to quickly cover three of these four in the next few moments as we discuss the specific matters I feel are God’s will for you to understand.

Israel: God’s Chosen Nation
People often ask me, when they see me teach from Israel, that about 65% of the „Manifest“ telecast—maybe more—comes from Israel. How many of you have traveled with me? Raise your hand. How many of you have seen yourself on TV during a tour? Raise your hand. Sure, we have some folks who just love to get in front of the camera. They manage to slide right over there, you know.

So if you’ve been with me, please listen attentively. In the book of Exodus, God states that Israel is, number one, His son, and number two, His firstborn. That’s in Exodus 4:22. Israel is important to God because it is the only nation on the planet, out of hundreds of nations that have existed, that was established and constructed under God’s divine direction—with a covenant made with God Himself.

Our ancestors dedicated this nation to the Lord, and our foundational documents stem from Judeo-Christian principles. However, I’m telling you, the only nation on Earth that was directly birthed by God Himself, designed by Him to bring about the Messiah, is the nation of Israel.

Why is it so important? Let me share this with you. Israel was the priestly center on Earth during Abraham’s days, the truth center during Moses and the prophets’ time, the sacrificial center during the reigns of David and Solomon, the visionary center during Zechariah’s prophetic time. It was the salvation center during the time of Christ and the apostles, and it became the storm center during Christ’s death up until the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD.

It’s the world’s prophecy center right now, and in the years 2014-2015, it will be the peace center during the millennial reign of Jesus Christ. It will also be the glory center when Jesus returns to rule and reign on Earth for a thousand years.

Israelites were born out of a covenant with Abraham, marked by circumcision of all Jewish males at eight days old. God gave them the Bible, called the Book of the Covenant. God fights for Israel, whether people wish to believe it or not, because He has a covenant with Israel.

God’s Faithfulness to Israel Through History
Consider this for a moment. All of the taskmasters of Egypt with their rawhide whips could not break the Hebrew people when the time of the Exodus arrived. The Red Sea and dictators like Pharaoh could not drown them when they crossed to the promised land. The Babylonians' hot furnaces and Nebuchadnezzar’s lion dens could not consume them or burn them up. The gallows of Haman during Queen Esther’s time could not eradicate them from existence. The stones from the Roman legions battering against Jerusalem could not destroy them, nor could Roman soldiers reject them. The gas chambers of the Nazis could not snuff them out. The Arctic land of the Russian Tsars could not freeze them out. The Arab nations that sought to annihilate them have also failed to do so, because God has a covenant with His people; it’s an everlasting covenant.

Now, why are Israel, Jerusalem, and the Jews so vital to the time we live in? I own over 20,000 books in my library. Of the prophecy books that date back to the 1800s, I can tell you that most authors then recognized that the return of the King of Kings was linked to Israel, Jerusalem, and the Jewish people. Many of them projected these connections to the time when the Lord would return to reign for a thousand years.

I have a Bible, my favorite study Bible, known as Dake’s Annotated Bible. Its author, Brother Dake, was a full gospel man and a genius who wrote notes at various times, with some dating back to the 30s, 40s, and 50s. However, some commentary was penned before Israel was ever restored as a nation, back when it was referred to as Palestine. The family has updated the Bible multiple times since then, but in the older editions, Israel was still called Palestine. In some of Dake’s earlier commentary, he wrote that many prophecies would be fulfilled in the millennium.

Here’s my point: Most preachers prior to 1948 believed that all those prophecies I’m about to describe were meant to be fulfilled only when Jesus returned to Earth.

The 10 Prophetic Prodigies
What I’m going to show is that these things we are about to discuss have already begun to happen. Most older ministers, from 1948 backward to the 1700s and 1800s, very few believed these events would occur, not only in our lifetime but that most of them would happen until Jesus returned to Earth. Now, what does that mean? It means that if I can present you with 10 things that are already happening, hello, somebody! Do you understand where I’m headed?

I won’t linger long on each because there are 10. I will go through this extremely quickly. The 10 prodigies connected to the nation of Israel and the soon return of the Messiah are as follows:

Prodigy #1: Near Extinction Before Restoration
Prodigy number one: The Bible predicted in Deuteronomy 28:62-63 that Israel would face near extinction before they would return to their land and form their nation. Moses wrote, „You shall be left few in number whereas you were as the stars of heaven in multitude because you would not obey the voice of the Lord your God.“ He said, „You’re a multitude of people, but you’re going to be reduced to few in number.“ That’s a prediction in the Old Testament, specifically in the Torah, by Moses.

Ezekiel 37 adds to this: „The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the spirit, and set me down in the midst of the valley, and it was full of bones. Then He caused me to pass by all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley, and indeed they were dry. He said to me, ‘Son of man, can these bones live? ’ I answered, ‘Oh God, you know.’“

This is complemented by Zechariah 13:8-9, which states, „It shall come to pass in all the land, says the Lord, that two-thirds will be cut off and die, but one-third shall be left in it. I will bring one-third through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined and test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, and I will answer. I will say, ‘This is My people.’ They will answer, ‘The Lord is my God.’“

These two prophecies, when combined, are intriguing because Ezekiel describes how Israel would be like skeletons and just barely surviving in a grave. This reminds me of images from the Holocaust. During the Holocaust, you see Jewish people suffering, with bones and skin barely holding together. From 1939 to 1945, 6 million Jews were exterminated by the Nazis, including 1.5 million children.

Are you aware that after the Holocaust, two-thirds of the Jewish population in Europe was annihilated and only one-third survived? This corresponds precisely with Zechariah’s prediction. God also told Ezekiel, „They’re scattered and they’re coming. They’re in their graves. But I’m going to bring them out of their graves.“

Everyone who survived the Holocaust you see in photos appears skeletal, with barely any flesh remaining. Remember, they were destined to die, one foot in the grave and one foot still in life. God says, „I see them at the edge of the grave, but I’m going to bring them back to the land, and I’m going to create the nation.“

That’s where the praise goes—right there. That’s where the glory goes to God—right there. Prodigy number one: they faced very near extinction before returning.

Prodigy #2: Reborn in One Day
Prodigy number two: they will return to their land. Here’s the verse: Isaiah 66:8 states that Israel will be reborn in one day. „Before she travailed, she brought forth. Before her pain came, she was delivered of a manchild.“

Everyone say, „Manchild.“ Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? „Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? Shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.“

Shall I bring to the birth and not cause to bring forth? saith the Lord, „I will bring forth.“ Isaiah uses a term that you need to be familiar with: „manchild.“

Now, does anyone here know where the term „manchild“ appears in the New Testament? You know it. The word „manchild“ appears in Revelation 12, where a woman in travail gives birth to a manchild who will rule the nations with a rod of iron. That imagery, ladies and gentlemen, is Isaiah 66. Very few preachers have ever connected these two meanings before.

What God is conveying in Revelation 12 is that the „manchild“ carries two meanings. Number one, it refers to Jesus Christ, who was born through Mary, who labored to give birth to the Messiah. He will conquer and rule all nations with a rod of iron.

The second meaning, if you read it closely and analyze the symbolism, pertains to the nation of Israel. The nation of Israel will be raised up during the time of the end and the millennial reign to become the nation of all nations, where the Messiah will be born.

It says this: „When Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.“ The Zionist movement, established in 1898, made a public prediction. They stated, „Give us 50 years, and we will have a homeland for the Jewish people.“ They recognized that Jubilee occurs every 50 years.

Guess what happened? 1948 is exactly 50 years later. In 1948, following the Holocaust, they were reborn as a nation.

A man pivotal in announcing this was David Ben-Gurion, who stood up in Tel Aviv and declared the formation of the nation. Listen, the United States was contemplating the name Zion. I have Harry Truman’s autobiography. I know what happened the day they formed the nation. They initially considered calling it Zion, Judah, or Judea. However, a rabbi who was a dear friend of Harry Truman told him, „You must put the name Israel on the paper that you’re giving to the State Department.

„It was the prophets of the Bible who proclaimed it would be called Israel in the last days. Thank God that Harry Truman heeded the advice of an old rabbi and designated it ‘Israel.’“
