Summary
In this sermon titled "Are You Desperate for Revival?", the preacher emphasizes the urgent need for personal and corporate revival in the church to impact the nation, stressing that true change begins with individuals humbling themselves before God. Drawing primarily from 2 Chronicles 7:14, she explains that revival requires humility, prayer, seeking God's presence, and turning from wicked ways, warning that sin and compromise in the church weaken its authority to address national issues like abortion and immorality. She shares personal experiences from past revivals (e.g., 1994 outpouring, Charles Finney's ministry) to illustrate how desperation and encounter with God produce tangible conviction, power, and transformation. The conclusion calls believers to cultivate desperation through awareness of need, repentance, humility, expectation, prayer, and prophecy, positioning for a unique, sovereign outpouring that could surpass previous revivals and heal lives, churches, and nations.
Evening Announcement
One announcement we do want to make so that you all are able to hear it is tonight at six o’clock. It’s «Wind and Fire,» so make sure that you come early and get a good seat. Invite your friends; we’re believing for God to really pour it out.
Georgian has been invited to share tonight, and also, for those of you who are friends of Caleb Brundich, he is coming here to visit with us tonight, and it’s going to be so good to see him again. So we’ve got lots of treats in store for this evening.
Opening Prayer
Well, Father, we just thank you for what you’ve done in our midst already. We’re here for you; we’re here because we’re crazy in love with you. We’re so grateful for all that you’ve done for us, in us, and through us, and we want to give our best to you. We want to give our all to you, Lord God.
So that’s why we came; that’s why we came. And so, Lord, we bless you. We sit at your feet now to receive your word, to receive insight, and to receive truth, Lord God, that will empower us for the days to come.
So that’s why we came; that’s why we came. And so, Lord, we bless you. We sit at your feet now to receive your word, to receive insight, and to receive truth, Lord God, that will empower us for the days to come.
Are You Desperate for Revival?
I want to share a message with you this morning called «Are You Desperate for Revival?» So, are you? How desperate are you? Oh, just a little bit? How desperate are you? Well, that’s not that high on the thermometer. How desperate are you? Come on!
And if we find that we are not desperate, we need to cultivate desperation. I’ll share with you why as we unpack the message today, but I’m excited because of the goodness and the mercy of God that He has on His docket, on His agenda, to bring forth a revival in these days that is perhaps going to surpass any and every move of His Spirit that has come into the earth so far. And so we want to cultivate expectation for that.
Personal Revival Experience
I remember a number of years ago, it was during the outpouring of the Spirit in 1994; God was just moving in manifest presence and glory, such weighty presence you could just tangibly feel Him everywhere. You would walk into a grocery store and He would fall, and people would start laughing and shaking and everything. It was just crazy awesome what He was doing in those days.
But I was on a ministry trip over in Europe, and I was walking through an airport, and all of a sudden this unction, this strong sovereign unction came upon me, and I started doing this Cherokee movement. I used to call them the holy crunches because it was like you would just crunch, and I’d go, I would just make this sound out of my mouth; it was «hayah.»
I thought, «Whoa, what did I just say?» I’d walk a little bit further, and another crunch, and I’d go all through the airport going, «hayah.» I couldn’t stop. It was just like this jerking motion with this «hayah» coming out.
The Meaning of "Hayah"
So I got to my place where I was going to be ministering, and revival broke out that night. I mean, it was crazy! I think we got out of the meeting around three o’clock in the morning because the Spirit of God was just going wave after wave after wave in power.
So I went back to my room and I couldn’t stop doing this «hayah» thing, so I was praying into it. I said, «Lord, I just don’t have a clue what is going on, and why am I saying this 'hayah'?»
When I got back to Canada, where we were living at the time, I was in a meeting, and someone was doing a teaching out of the Hebrew, and they were showing a word on the screen: C-H-A-Y-A-H. They said, «It’s pronounced 'hayah'.» I thought, «Wow, what is it?» It’s revival! Revival!
And what I was doing was going through the airport saying, «Revival! Revival! Revival!» Everyone was looking at me, and I felt, you know, like when you’re drunk in the Spirit, you actually don’t care what people think. We got so delivered from the fear of man in that revival because He would just come on you with jerking motion sometimes and just crazy stuff that the mind didn’t understand, but He was doing something in the heart.
There was this prophetic declaration that was going out for revival, and the word «hayah» actually means to bring back to life, to restore to God consciousness, to restore to a previous condition of faith, a restoration, rejuvenation, or renewal of interest after spiritual neglect, oblivion, or obscurity.
So revival! Revival is marked by God’s presence, conviction, and power.
Studying and Praying for Revival
I have studied revival for as long as I’ve known the Lord; I’ve just been fascinated by revival, and I’ve read so many books on past revivals. In 1994, prior to the outpouring in Toronto and then in Brownsville, we were in 10 years of prayer because we felt in our spirit that an outpouring was coming. We didn’t know what it was going to look like, but we were just positioning ourselves for it.
By the way, our church right now is in 50 days of prayer for revival, and we’re meeting every morning. We will hear more about that later. I just want to encourage all of you— even if you cannot make it to the prayer meetings— commit to praying for at least 15 minutes every single day, up until and all the way through to Pentecost at least, and just believe for personal revival. Okay?
So we had been praying for 10 years. We would gather together in homes, we would gather together in churches, we’d have city convocations, and pray for revival. We just knew that God was going to come, and it was a dry season in many ways. But you know, when it’s dry and you know that God has something good to give you, you just want to press in for it.
I want to encourage you to press in! When the outpouring of 1994 came, it was overnight. It happened in one night, basically, and then it just kept going and going. Everyone that came into that revival, when they went into other places, it would break out there. It was like it just entered you and then you became a carrier of revival.
Experiencing Revival
Now, how many of you here have actually experienced revival? You’ve experienced the manifest glory of God. So I would say about a third of you. But I’m telling you, you are going to experience revival in the coming days. I want to help you get ready for that. I want to help you get positioned for it because it’s glorious.
When God comes in revival, He comes in this sovereign weight of glory. Every revival is different, so you cannot think that the revival that’s coming is going to be like anything from the past. It’s going to be different. God is so big, and He’s full of so many attributes and so many different things about Him that are unique.
In every revival, He reveals something of Himself, and so we don’t seek revival; we seek Him, right? And when we seek Him, revival comes. So I just want to encourage you with that, and every biblical and historical revival is unique.
Prayer and National Issues
Now, many have— you know, we prayed like never before last year for the United States. We set up a firewall; we had 24/7 prayer going on. We were in so many prayer convocations. I mean, over the Internet, we were involved in prayer meetings where there were hundreds of thousands of people praying at the same time because we wanted our nation touched by God.
We wanted our nation to come into alignment with God’s purposes. And so we were praying and standing in agreement for God to touch the nation. When the elections actually came, it was confusing to many of us because it didn’t look like things were working in the way that we had expected.
In fact, even when the executive orders started being issued on the very day of inauguration with the new president, they were all anti-biblical values that were being supported. Planned Parenthood was being funded; the LGBTQ community was being funded. I mean, all these things were happening, so it brought confusion.
The Church's Responsibility
I remember back in 2008, on election night in 2008, I heard a crack— an audible crack— start in the west coast of the United States and go all the way through to the east coast. I thought, «Whoa, what?» It was audible; I actually heard the crack audibly.
The Holy Spirit said, «The moral foundation of the United States has cracked.» I said, «Is that because we got the wrong president voted in?» It was on election night in 2008. I said, «Is that because of the wrong president?» He said, «No, it’s not about the president; it’s about My church. Because as My church goes, so goes the nation.»
It made such an impact; I’ve never forgotten that statement. I’ve preached on it numerous times, but it is true that as the church goes, so goes the nation.
What I mean is that we have no power to transform a nation if we, the church, are broken in sin, weak, divided. We have no power to change a nation. So we have to look at ourselves first. We have to look at our own hearts.
The church that has the power, the ecclesia, to change the nation is made up of individuals, which means as individuals, we have to go after revival first. Each and every one of us is responsible before God, saying, «God, work in my life. Revive me; bring back to life anything in me that is dead and anything in me that is outside of Your will and Your purpose.»
I’m yielding myself to You and I’m asking You to completely consume me with life and bring me into the maximum expression of life that You have— life and light and glory— come and fill me now.
Personal Choices Impact the Nation
If every believer did that, imagine this: if every believer walked in that level of commitment before God, do you think that we would be able to change nations? If the nation is in chaos, unrighteousness, living contrary to the ways of God, supporting bills and things that are contrary to God, then we have to look at the church.
Is that going on in the church? Is there abortion in the church? Because if there is abortion in the church, we have no voice for the nation. No matter how loud we want to shout, we have no voice for the nation if what’s going on in the church is not aligned with God.
When I’m talking about the church, I’m talking about each of us as individuals. An individual might say, «Yes, but you don’t understand my circumstance. I’m just too young to have a baby, or it’s too inconvenient for me, or you know, it’s just not right for me at this particular moment in life.»
But if you go ahead and have that abortion, you are actually affecting the nation. You are actually supporting abortion in the nation. There have been over 60 million children murdered in our nation alone since it got legalized in the 1970s. So how are we going to have authority if we ourselves are creating a landing strip for the enemy?
I had a dream last night about homosexuality invading the church and trying to silence the voice of the church to do anything about it. But you see, if you are a Christian and you’re involved in homosexuality or cross-dressing or whatever, then it weakens the authority of the church to have a voice in the nation.
How can we change policies in the nation if we, the church, are in transgression that we’re trying to stop? It’s very important that we take personal responsibility; every individual does need to.
Levels of Revival Needed
So we need revival on three levels: we need it on our individual level, we need it within the church, and we need it in the nations of the world. Because when we look at things right now in the church and outside the church, it is very evident that we need God.
We need God to transform us; we need help from God; we need mercy from God. Your choices as an individual will manifest within the church at large and will influence the nation for good or for evil. It’ll affect the life of the unborn.
You know, we are going after these things: life for the unborn, freedom to worship and express, communicate, activate biblical values and principles, racial equality, safe borders, godly alliances with Israel, economic opportunities for all, secure family values, upholding moral values, care for the poor, and regard for the aliens.
All those things were on the table in the last election; we all wanted those things, and some of those things were represented by different political parties. The church actually became very political because if we were to remove political parties and politicians from the equation, and we just looked at the issues, we were in agreement on these values.
But we weren’t in agreement. In fact, there are fights to this day within the body regarding what political party you voted for. If we’re going to see the kingdom advance, we need to get our eyes back on the King. We need to get our eyes back on Him because He wants us to go after these things; those things are important to Him.
Focus on the King
I’m not advocating at all that we pull back and that we are not trying to influence people in the political realm or even political parties. We actually need more of that. But we have to understand who we are first; we have to position ourselves first so that we can have more impact and more influence in the world that we live in.
We’re not to pull back, but we need to understand where we’re coming from. Having a political party or political agendas or even laws that are initiated politically aligned with God’s ways isn’t going to necessarily bring the great harvest and the revival that we’re looking for.
It’s always good to have holy laws; it’s always good to have the bar raised high, but that doesn’t equal people coming into the kingdom. That was proven through Constantine’s rule, where everything was done by law. In fact, it was made a law that you had to be a Christian, but not everyone was Christians; it was just an outward thing.
Revival touches the heart; it touches the very core of who we are.
Word on the Tipping Point
So where I see it— and I had this word when we were praying into the election— I got this word on June 27th of last year. I was woken up early in the morning with a burden from the Lord for the United States of America.
As I got up, He showed me two scales, and I’ve shared this often: it was two baskets, one being filled with sin and rebellion in the church and the other with prayer and repentance. He said one of them is going to produce a tipping point.
Whatever that tipping point was in the church, it wasn’t about the world; it was in the church. If we could secure a weight in the spirit, a weight of focus, a weight of glory unto the Lord, then we would see the kingdom come.
It’s not how many people prayed; it’s the weight of what we could produce in the Spirit. He gave me 2 Chronicles 7:14 very clearly. I mean, I’ve enjoyed that scripture for years, but it came as the word of the Lord on June 27th, 2020.
Many prophets— many, many prophets— received the same word. In fact, almost every prophet and every leader I’ve heard recently has brought up this scripture, has brought up this point.
2 Chronicles 7:14 Explained
Now you can’t just listen to the word and say, «Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know that.» I’ve heard it hundreds of times before. «Yeah, I know all the other prophets are saying.» Look, if God has to keep saying it, it’s because we haven’t heard it.
I never needed to repeat anything to my children unless they weren’t listening, and then you had to repeat it and repeat it until they heard it, right? If we’re still having this brought before us, we need to say, «God, am I as an individual aligning myself to this word?»
And it says, «If My people.» Remember, it’s not the world; «If My people.» Revival is going to start with you. God’s not just going to bypass the church and then zap the world out there; He’s in partnership with you as an individual.
And you as an individual really matter because you can be a catalyst for a revival or you can withhold revival by your positioning, by your passion.
He said, «If My people will number one humble themselves,» and we can all say, «Yeah, yeah, I’m humble,» but you know, after the elections for sure, we saw pride raise its head like crazy, and it just manifested. It was always there, but it manifests, and God allowed us to see the pride that was there.
In fact, the world was looking at the church and saying, «Man, you guys are obnoxious.» Now, I’m not saying to withhold speaking the truth, but we have to speak it in love. We have to speak it in humility; we have to regard God as greater than ourselves; we have to esteem others as higher than ourselves.
Humility and Prayer
And so He said, «If My people will humble themselves,» and if we’re going to position ourselves for revival, I don’t know about you, but I’m desperate for it myself. I’ve got to have more of God right now. I have to have more life in God. I just so want His sovereign power to just totally zap me.
But in order for that to happen, there are requirements here. There are four requirements, and one of them is that I humble myself. I humble myself before Him; I humble myself before each other.
And I’m just going to give you just a little something because I’ve been praying into this a lot over the last few weeks. If you are one who easily takes up offense, it’s a sign of pride. A humble person isn’t offended easily, and so if you’re finding, «You know, that offends me; that offends me,» I don’t like that; I don’t like that person.
I don’t want to go low to help them or whatever. I’m just going to judge them, whatever. That’s a sign that you are above others and can condescend in judgment upon them.
So let’s be unoffendable; let’s be unoffendable. Let’s position ourselves in humility before God and before man. There are going to be some things that rise up in us with a holy frustration that we say, «Oh Lord, this is just not right,» but it will lead us to holy servanthood.
It’ll lead us to serve the truth in love so that we can see justice brought forth. So humility. Secondly, He says, «If My people will pray.» And that’s praying His will.
Now, I’ve never seen so much prayer as I have last year. And you know what that means? I’m just going to give you some good news here: when you see that much prayer, and the Lord says that if you pray according to His will, He hears you.
1 John 5:14 and 15: «If you know that He hears you, you know that you have the request that you asked of Him.» Therefore, if we’ve been praying the will of God all last year by the hundreds of thousands, getting together in agreement, then we know that God’s going to do something.
God's Timing in Answers
It might not be in the way that we thought, but every prayer according to His will is registered in heaven, and it will take effect.
Now remember in John 11, Jesus heard the cry, or the prayer, of Martha and Mary. They sent a messenger to Him and said, «Your beloved Lazarus is sick.» He says, «Great! I’ll stay on a couple more days.»
They all knew He had the power to heal, but He decided He was going to stay on a couple more days. It was when He understood in the Spirit that Lazarus died that He decided to go.
It didn’t make any sense at all; He delayed on purpose. There were many reasons why He delayed. One of them was that if He had gone earlier, He wouldn’t have gotten close to Lazarus because the Jews were ready to kill Him.
They were going to stone Him if He came back into Jerusalem. It says that right in the Scripture that they were out to kill Him.
So if He had gone earlier, before Lazarus died, He wouldn’t even have gotten near him. But He waited, and it was perfect timing because the Jews' hearts were softened; their friend had died.
They loved Mary and Martha; the family and their friend had died, so they were mourning. They weren’t going to kill Jesus in the midst of that. Jesus came and raised the dead, and not only did that great miracle reveal the glory of God, but many Jews believed.
There was resurrection and there was mass salvation as a result because His timing was perfect. He delayed on purpose.
I’m telling you the truth: every prayer that we prayed according to the will of God is going to be answered. I don’t know about you, but I prayed a lot in that season, and I’m still crying out to God, and every single prayer gets registered, and it does produce a tipping point.
If we couldn’t produce the tipping point last year, we are going to partner with God and produce the outpouring of the Spirit.
Seeking God's Face and Turning
He said, «You must seek My face.» Not the face of a politician; not the face of our own desire; not the face of what we think should happen. It’s seek the face— that’s the presence. That word «face» there means presence.
To seek the very presence of God, to bask in the presence of God. Are we positioned in this way? Because if we are, great things are going to happen.
And then He said, «If you turn from your wicked ways.» I don’t know; I am saying, «God, help us!»
I had a word in July of 2019, a direct word from the Lord saying that exposure was going to come that would expose sin in the leadership in the body of Christ. It’s been non-stop and continuous; I just heard of another report just yesterday, and it breaks my heart, though these things ought not to be ever found.
But I’ll tell you, if you find sin in leadership, everyone they lead is influenced by it as well. It’s a dynamic in the Spirit.
I remember years ago when I was a fairly new Christian; the pastor of a church that I had gone to was discovered to have been having an affair with a girl in the youth group for many years. It was going on for over five years, and he finally got caught when it finally came into the light.
Almost every single leader in that church was infected with immorality on some level. It’s because when you’re a leader, you better walk in the fear of the Lord because everyone under you is affected for good or for evil.
It’s a tremendous responsibility, and so we have to turn from our wicked ways.
We haven’t done that yet; we haven’t done that yet. There is still so much going on in the body of Christ that is contrary to the nature of Jesus Christ.
Now, I’m not responsible for anyone else, but I am responsible for me. You are responsible for you, and as a church here, we are going to walk in responsibility here because we want the glory. We want the glory; we want revival; we want God.
He said, «If you will position yourself like that, then I will forgive their sin, hear from heaven, and heal their land.» That land can be your own land, your life, your family; it could be our nation; it could be the church. He’s going to bring healing; He’s going to bring restoration so that we look like heaven.
No Compromise
There can be no compromise in this season. You can’t just say, «Oh well, it’s just a little sin here and there; I’ll just let it go; everyone else is doing it.» No, no!
Especially, I want to speak to the younger generation because they’re coming up with a lot of mindsets that are contrary to what the Bible says. I tell you, if you go with God, you’re going to see the display of glory and power such as you can’t even imagine.
If you go with God, you’ll be raised up as great leaders in this day to manifest the power of God.
It’s unfortunate that we need revival. I mean, we’re all saying, «Yeah, yeah, yeah, let’s go for revival; we really want revival; revival’s coming; the prophets are prophesying!» Yeah, yeah, yeah!
We should not be going «yay.» We should be saying, «Lord, I’m so sorry that we need revival! I am so sorry that we need revival! But if you would have mercy on us, we need to be revived.»
We should not be in a place where we even need it. If we lived in constant glory, we would never need to be revived. Maybe in what’s coming, God’s mercy— He is so good to us— that what’s coming, His sovereign presence is going to fill us so amazingly that our character, our nature, our very activities are going to be so manifesting the glory of God that it will never stop; it’ll just never stop.
And we’ll never need to pray for revival again.
Characteristics of Revival
When revival comes, when revival comes, there’s tangible, unmistakable presence. There is conviction; there is repentance; there’s reformation of lives and regions.
I don’t know about you, but I’m desperate for this! I’m desperate for this! And no human being can produce it. Just being a good leader isn’t going to produce it. Just being a good person isn’t going to produce it.
We need God to come and manifest. We need God to come! And when He comes, whoo! We’re going to be aligned, and we’re going to remain aligned. Amen.
Charles Finney's Desperation
Charles Finney, he was born in 1792 and lived until 1875. He was an attorney, and he was a churchgoer, but he wasn’t really connected closely to God. He started being awakened with a desire to know God.
He goes out into the forest one day and he says, «God, I’m not even coming back until I meet with You!» He was desperate! He had desperation, and he went out around breakfast time and he stayed there with God and cried out to God and put his face toward God.
He said, «I’m not leaving this place, Lord! I’ve got to have You!»
All of a sudden, God came with conviction, and he started confessing sin that came to his mind. He thought he was a pretty good person until the Holy Spirit started convicting him of things.
He repented and asked for forgiveness and he kept doing this by the hour as the Holy Spirit’s conviction kept coming on him in such a heavy way he couldn’t deny it.
He finally finishes this encounter with God, a weighty, weighty level of conviction on his heart. He goes back into the house and it starts breaking out. The Spirit of conviction started breaking out everywhere!
You see, wherever you’re touched by the power of God, that’s what you’re going to manifest.
You get into the glory and taste of glory and you come to know His love; if love is what He bathes you in, that’s what you’re going to manifest. Conviction— conviction will manifest. Truth— truth will manifest.
Whatever you get in the presence of the Lord is going to manifest through your life. He just went to the presence of the Lord. He said, «I’m not leaving until I encounter You.»
Conviction in Finney's Ministry
There’s a story that says that he went into a factory; there were about 3,000 workers in that factory. When he walked into the factory— this is a large factory— 3,000 people were touched by the conviction of the Spirit because it’s what he got from God!
You might not get what Charles Finney got; you might get something totally different. You’ve got to go to God and find what He’s going to give you!
Imagine if God gave to each and every one of us, as we pursued Him, something different— an attribute— and we all came together as a church and let it spill.
The atmosphere of conviction fell into that factory, fell into the factory, and some reports said that every single person got born again! Every single person!
It is said that there was so much conviction that was in the atmosphere because when revival comes, it comes into the atmosphere— that so much was in the region that he was preaching in that when people crossed from one county into the county where he was, they would come under the conviction of the Spirit. It was powerful!
He used to have in his meetings what they called an anxious section. People would scream out in this meeting and say, «I need mercy! I need mercy! Oh God, I need You!»
He said, «You’re not repentant enough; you’re not convicted enough. Come sit here in the anxious section until you’re ready!» And I don’t know how he knew they were ready, but he wouldn’t let them get born again until they were ready.
Now, I don’t know what I feel about that, but I’ll tell you one thing: his retention rate over a 50-year period of those that came to the Lord in his revivals was over 80%, the highest retention rate ever in church history. There’s something in it; there’s something they were doing right.
I’m not saying God’s going to lead us that way, but I’m just saying He moved that way through Finney.
Examples from Toronto Outpouring
In the Toronto outpouring, there was so much weight of the glory, so much love— it was a love revival! You just went there, and you would get drenched in the love of God. You came out of that revival, and you were drenched in love.
Heidi Baker was a worn-out missionary when she went to Toronto, and she got revived in the glory of God. It was a love glory. What is she known for? She’s known as the apostle of love.
She started a whole supernatural missions. She was a worn-out missionary with three failed missions, and now she’s one of the most remarkable modern-day missionaries in the world, probably with some of the most fruit that there is in the world today.
Bill Johnson goes to Toronto, gets blasted by God, goes back to Bethel, and all of a sudden it breaks out in Bethel and kingdom culture is birthed to a point where it transformed the face of Christianity over the last 10, 15, 20, 25 years. Time flies when you’re having fun!
Now, 2 Chronicles 16:9 says, «For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.» Whoo! Is that you? I’m desperate to have my heart so positioned like that!
Steps to Cultivate Desperation
So let me give you just, as we close here, a few things. How many of you are desperate for revival? How desperate are you? Yeah, all right!
Okay, first of all, become aware of your need for revival. Ask God to show you your need for what areas of your life need to be revived. How desperate are you?
Secondly, turn away from all distractions, sin, and compromise. It’s called repentance when you turn away and turn to God, turn to His ways.
Third, humble yourself before God. Humble yourself; say, «God, I’m here to love You; I’m here to serve You; I’m here to yield to You. I humble myself before You because You are the one that I exalt.»
I’m not entitled; I’m not trying to get something for myself; I just want to give You what You’re looking for.
Number four, cultivate expectation. Study past revivals. Imagine what revival will look like in your family. What if God were to come in fiery presence in your house right today?
You walk in your door, you open up the door, and God and all His angels are there, and you’re never the same again! Imagine it! If you see it, you can have it! Ask the Lord to give you prophetic insight into how He wants to move within your life.
Number five, engage in prayer and intercession. That’s what we’re doing as a church. We are so hungry for God; we are so hungry for Him. We’ve got to have Him!
That’s why I’m saying, carve out time in your schedule every day and cry out for revival! I’ve actually made some prayer directives to make it easy for you so that you can take these with you. We want to see God bless your life!
Prophesy Revival
Just spend time with Him in that desperate, beautiful expectation, in faith, prayer, and intercession. And then prophesy— decree it!
Now, Ezekiel 37. I’m not going to read the whole thing; it’s up on your screen, I believe— verses 1 to 14. It’s a story of the dry bones, and how did God instruct the prophet to bring revival to the dry bones? He said, «Prophesy over them!» Prophesy!
Find out what the will of God is and make those decrees because a decree made in the name of the king will not be revoked. When you decree a thing, it will be established, and light will shine on all your ways.
We have a number of other scriptures that I won’t bother going into right now, but I’m just going to give them to you so that you can read them: Psalm 119:37, 88, and 107; Psalm 143:11; Isaiah 57:15; Hosea 6:2; Habakkuk 3:2; and Ezra 9:8. So you can look those up at home.
I want to encourage you to review the sermons, join our house fellowships. We review the messages when we’re together in home groups, and have dialogue and prayer, so make sure that you show up to the home groups, and you’ll hear more about that in a moment.
For those of you in the web church, we review the Sunday messages on Monday. But I’ve also prepared for you prayer for personal revival— there are eight directives.
Take 15 minutes a day, minimum, and start just every day crying out to God for revival. We cover revived humility before God, revived conviction and repentance, revived relationship with Holy Spirit, revived restoration of awe, revived desperation for God’s presence, revived restoration of godly nature and attributes, revived activation of power, and revived bridal nature. Come on, you can have it all!
So, we’re going to make these available for you. I don’t know if we’ve got them printed for this morning. Yes, we do, for those in the house. For those online, we’ve got it posted online for you, and Pastor Francisco will give you more information.
Closing Prayer
But let’s pray right now. Are you ready? Are you ready for revival to fill your heart? Are you ready for God Himself to come and reveal Himself to you in greater ways?
Father, in the name of Jesus, You see the desperation in each one. You see the longing in each one, and we’re asking, Lord, that You would fill each believer that is here in this room and online, Lord God, with a holy desperation, and then meet the desperation exceedingly abundantly above all that they could ask or think.
We loose and release revival fire in this house and in each individual in Jesus' name. And if you believe it, say a big amen!
