Mensa Otabil - The Right Help

Mensa Otabil - The Right Help
TOPICS: Word to Go

Based on Exodus 4:27–28, this message reveals how God prepares and connects the right people for His purposes, showing that Moses’ mission was strengthened through Aaron, and concluding that every calling is supported by God-appointed helpers.

When God Connects the Right People

Exodus chapter 4, verses 27 and 28 tells us that the Lord spoke to Aaron and instructed him to go into the wilderness to meet Moses. Aaron obeyed, met Moses on the mountain of God, and greeted him with a kiss. Moses then shared with Aaron every word and sign the Lord had given him.

This meeting followed a frightening moment at the encampment, after which Moses went out to meet Aaron. The encounter was not accidental. It was divinely orchestrated, bringing together two men prepared by God for the same mission at the same time.

Moses and the Fear of Rejection

Moses had fled from Egypt rejected on all sides. The Egyptians hated him because he acted as a liberator, and the Hebrews rejected him because he presumed to be their leader. From both directions, Moses experienced rejection, isolation, and misunderstanding.

God recognized Moses’ fear of acceptance and responded with compassion. He sent someone Moses could fully receive without fear or threat. That person was Aaron, his older brother, someone who could approach him with familiarity, trust, and unconditional acceptance.

God Speaks on Both Ends

When you study the sequence of events, God was speaking to Aaron at the same time He was speaking to Moses. While Moses was receiving instructions for his mission, Aaron was also being prepared to support that mission.

God was working on both sides, aligning hearts before the meeting ever happened. This pattern shows how God prepares relationships ahead of time so His purposes can unfold smoothly and without unnecessary resistance or misunderstanding.

Why God Joins Us to Others

Throughout Scripture, we see that when God calls someone, He often connects them to others. God may call us individually, but He also calls others individually and then joins them together for a shared purpose.

God understands our insecurities and limitations. He knows what we can do alone and what we cannot do alone. That is why He brings people into our lives who help us become our best for Him, just as Aaron was chosen for Moses.

Biblical Examples of God-Given Partners

Just as Aaron was chosen for Moses, Barnabas was chosen for the Apostle Paul. Barnabas was well suited to encourage, support, and walk with Paul during critical seasons of his ministry and growth.

In the same way, Jesus Himself was connected to John the Baptist, His cousin. John was ready for Jesus when others were not. He embraced Him and introduced Him to Israel, preparing the way for His ministry to begin.

Sharing Your Vision with the Right Person

When Moses met Aaron, he felt so secure that he shared everything God had told him. This can be dangerous if shared with the wrong people, because ambitions, hopes, and plans are easily misunderstood or discouraged.

However, when shared with the right person, vision becomes a blessing. Aaron was the right person. Moses trusted him as a brother who loved him, cared for him, and was willing to sacrifice for him, so he held nothing back.

Recognizing Your Aaron

God places people in our lives with whom we can share our dreams, hopes, and struggles. This person may be a spouse, a sibling, a friend, or a mentor. Whoever they are, God connects you with them intentionally.

Even if they are not part of your organization or visible ministry, they still provide encouragement, safety, and strength. For every one of us, there is an Aaron assigned to help us accomplish our life’s mission.

Pray for Divine Connections

Moses shared with Aaron all the words and signs God had given him, and Aaron did not feel insecure. If you already have such a person in your life, thank God for them. If not, ask God to help you recognize and receive them.

Prayer

Let us pray together. Say with me, «Heavenly Father, You have planted the right helpers in my path. Help me to recognize and receive them in Jesus’ name. Amen.»
