From Jeremiah 15:20–21, this message affirms God’s promise of protection and deliverance, revealing that even when opposition comes, those called by God will stand firm, unbroken, and victorious because the Lord Himself defends and rescues them.
Day 29: The God Who Delivers
Welcome to day number 29 of our 40 Days of Power. Today we trust God to walk us through, to guide us, to lead us, and to preserve us. Our scripture comes from Jeremiah chapter 15, verses 20 and 21, where God promises His servant strength, protection, and deliverance in the midst of opposition.
This passage is God reaffirming a promise He made to Jeremiah at the very beginning of his calling—a promise that did not change when the journey became difficult.
[h2]Jeremiah’s Calling and Challenge
Jeremiah was very young when God called him. He was sent to speak to an entire nation—from kings and nobles to common people—calling them to repentance and warning them of coming captivity if they refused to turn back to God.
The weight of that assignment was enormous. Jeremiah faced rejection, threats, and hostility for speaking God’s truth. Yet God reminded him that His protection was not temporary. If God promised to protect him at the beginning, He would protect him in the middle and all the way through.
[h3]A Fortified Bronze Wall
The first thing God said to Jeremiah was, «I will make you a fortified bronze wall.» This speaks of supernatural strength and resilience. A bronze wall cannot be broken through. People may push, attack, and strike against it, but it will not collapse.
God is speaking the same word to you today. You may be under pressure, but you will not break. You may be attacked, but you will not be destroyed. God has made you strong.
[h3]The Battle Will Come, but Victory Is Certain
God did not say that Jeremiah would not face opposition. He said, «They will fight against you, but they will not prevail against you.» The fight may be real. The struggle may be visible. But defeat is not your portion.
Those who come against you may try their best, but they cannot win. God Himself guarantees that they will not prevail.
[h2]Deliverance from the Wicked
God also promised, «I will deliver you from the hand of the wicked.» Jeremiah lived among people who plotted evil and carried it out deliberately. Our world is no different today.
You may be living peacefully, yet someone may be working against you. But God knows, and He promises deliverance. Whoever the wicked person is, God will rescue you from their plans.
[h3]Redeemed from the Grip of the Terrible
Finally, God said, «I will redeem you from the grip of the terrible.» This means that even if terrible people gain control or attempt to restrain you, God will pull you out of their grasp.
Jeremiah experienced arrest, persecution, and hardship because of God’s work, yet God delivered him every time. The same God is at work in your life today.
[h2]Our God Is a God of Deliverance
God’s word does not change with circumstances. He is your deliverer, your protector, and your defender. Just as He did for Jeremiah, He will do for you—bringing you through every attack and into victory.
Prayer
Let us pray together. Say with me, «Heavenly Father, You are my deliverance. I trust in You for full protection and deliverance from all attacks in Jesus’ name. Amen.»
