Mensa Otabil - Expanding Territory (10/27/2025)

Mensa Otabil - Expanding Territory
TOPICS: Word to Go, 40 Days of Power

Well, it’s been a great week talking about breaking barriers. We are bringing this week to an end, and this is day number 18 of our 40 days of power. So, we’re concluding our teaching on breakthroughs. We start something else from tomorrow, and our prayer direction will also change. We’re talking about expanding territory, and I’m reading one of my favorite portions of Scripture: Isaiah chapter 54, verses 2 and 3.

«Enlarge the place of your tent; let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings. Do not spare; lengthen your cords; strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left, and your descendants shall inherit the nations and make the desolate cities inhabited.»

A profound prophetic word from Isaiah to God’s people at a time of desolation, when the cities are empty, towns are devoid of life, and the people have been decimated-there’s nobody. When people want to build, they are building small things in small places. God says, «Listen, although what you see now is small and it doesn’t seem to be much, there’s going to be abundance, so prepare for it.» He tells them, «Don’t be small; don’t make small plans here. Don’t just focus on what you have now because something bigger is about to happen.»

I believe that is what God is speaking to each one of us: that sometimes in front of you, what you see may seem insignificant, but when God speaks to you, He sees the future. He sees the plan He has for you and says, «Don’t make small plans now because My thoughts for you are bigger.»

So what does He tell the people of Israel? He says, «Enlarge the place of your tent.» In other words, make more room; expand! Don’t limit the space you are building on because if you limit the space, you’re going to build small things. Enlarge the place of your tent; make room for yourself. And today, I just want to tell somebody, «Listen to me. Make room for yourself; God is about to do something extraordinary in your life.»

Then He says, «Stretch out the curtains.» Stretching is always difficult because it will take you places you’ve never been. Stretching will move you from your comfort zone; it will move you from the place you have settled into a new place. He says, «Stretch out your curtains. Don’t just limit yourself; open yourself up. Get exposure, get understanding, read a little bit more. Stretch your mind, stretch your concepts, stretch your practices. Don’t just do it the same way; stretch yourself out and see yourself improving beyond what you are able to do now.»

And He says, «Lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes; dig deeper.» So while you’re stretching, you’re going deeper; you’re becoming stronger, firmer. And that’s what God wants to do for each one of us. I truly pray that in this week, as we’ve talked about breaking barriers, you will break barriers in your life, experience divine strength, power, wisdom, and ability, and do things beyond your current limitations.

Maybe you have just done something in a small space; God says, «I want you to get a bigger space.» Maybe you have done some things in the same way; God says, «There’s a better way for you to do it, and I want you to discover it.» I don’t know what your limitation is, but whatever that limitation is, may the Lord give you victory over it. May your barriers be broken. May you do extraordinary things. May you be a conqueror; may you be an overcomer in every area of your life. May God do big things for you, great things for you, better things for you in this season that we are in and the seasons following after this, in Jesus' name.

Let’s pray. Say with me, «Heavenly Father, You have called me to be bigger, better, and greater. I can do all that You want me to do. In Jesus' name, amen and amen.»
