Mensa Otabil - Shout His Praise
TOPICS: Word to Go

This is the 40th day of our 40 Days of Power. To God be the glory, great things He has done. We started 40 days ago trusting the Lord, and He has led us. As we’ve prayed, we’ve sought His face every day in the last 40 days. So we look at Psalm 67, verses 5 and 6: «Let the peoples praise You, O God; let all the peoples praise You. Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us.» Today, we are like the children of Israel going around the walls of Jericho for seven continuous days, and for us, it’s been 40 days. They went around the walls of Jericho in silence. On the seventh day, they did six marches in silence, but on the seventh march of the seventh day, they lifted up a shout of praise to the Lord and magnified the name of the Lord because He is good and His mercies endure forever. The walls of Jericho came down.

So today, as we complete our 40 Days of Power, we praise the Lord. We honor Him and thank Him for what He has done. We don’t ask for anything today except to declare the praise of the Lord and to declare prophetically His word in our lives. So we praise the Lord for who He is. He is faithful; He is the Lord who is complete in Himself. God doesn’t need our praise; He doesn’t survive on our praise. He that has no need, we praise Him. So we remind ourselves of who He is and who He is to us. And so today, we praise God for who He is. He’s a merciful God; He’s a good God; He’s a mighty God; He’s an awesome God; He’s a God of signs and wonders.

We praise the Lord for His word. His word is our foundation; His word is a sure premise on which we act. Without His word, we have nothing to act on, but His word gives us the foundation to act on. That is why faith comes through His word. And so we thank God for His word of assurance, for His word of encouragement, for His word of victory, which we stand on today. We praise God for His works, for what He has done, for what He is doing, and for what He will do. If you have been part of these 40 Days of Power, we declare that the works of the Lord will be manifested in your life, that the Lord will do signs and wonders in your life. As He brought down the walls of Jericho, every wall will come down before you. The Lord will give you the victory, and the passage says that when we praise the Lord, then the earth shall yield her increase.

So as we praise the Lord, praises go from the earth to heaven, and blessings come from heaven to the earth. So we declare the blessing of the Lord that today we begin to increase and become big and mighty in the Lord. We increase through the Holy Spirit and through His anointing. We increase in the word of the Lord, and we increase in wisdom. We increase in faith, and we increase in favor. We increase in strength, and we increase in victory. We increase in our work, and we increase in our wealth. The Lord increases us on every side, and may He show you mercy.

Today, we thank God for bringing us this far. Today also is the beginning of our Greater Works Conference, which starts this evening. You can participate and be at the venue at Christ Temple East. If you don’t live in Ghana, you can watch us online and be part of the service. From today, we start. I’m going to serve a comedian this evening, and as we partake in this spiritual meal, may the Lord pour out His goodness upon all of us. May every blessing that has accrued to us in these 40 days be manifested in our lives in the next 40 days of our lives in the name of Jesus. Let us pray. Say with me, «Heavenly Father, today we declare Your praise in heaven and on earth. Your glory fills our lives. In Jesus' name, Amen and Amen.»
