Mensa Otabil - Happy New Year (10/01/2025)

Mensa Otabil - Happy New Year
TOPICS: Word to Go

Happy New Year! Happy New Year to you! Welcome to the year 2021! What a year, what a year to be alive in, and what a time to be alive in the presence of the Lord. I trust that you had a good crossover service, whether you were in church, online, or in person. I hope you participated in some spiritual experience that brought you into this year because we trust God to guide us, to order our paths, and to make our way fruitful.

Our theme for this year is fruitfulness, and we’re expecting that God will bless the work of our hands and increase us on every side. Psalm 65:11 says, «You crown the year with your goodness, and your paths drip with abundance.» God crowns the year with His goodness. Although we don’t know everything that will happen this year, we trust God to crown the year, to surround the year, to cover the year with His goodness. Every new year is a new page God has given us to write out His plans and purposes for us. He’s given us 364 days; we started with the first one, and we trust Him that we will end all the days in His power, glory, and goodness.

So may the Lord cause His goodness to crown your year, that 2021 will be the year you say, «God was so good to me; He crowned the year with His goodness.» It also says that His paths drip with abundance. That means that there is a path God has made for you, and I pray that you will walk in those paths. There is a way God has created for you, and it’s a path that drips with abundance. God wants you to flourish; He wants you to increase; He wants you to be the best that He has created you to be. He wants to bless the work of your hands; He wants to increase and expand you on every side; He wants you to see progress.

That is why, each year, we seek God’s guidance and wisdom so we don’t walk in our own paths or in paths made by others, but we walk in the paths God has made for us because when we walk in those paths, there will be abundance. I believe you will have abundance this year; you will be fruitful, you will blossom, you will flourish, and you will bear fruit. There will be results at the end of the year; you will showcase something that testifies to God’s goodness in your life.

As you start this year, trust the Lord. We don’t know the future, but He knows the future. We cannot control everything, but He holds all things. We trust Him to guide us, to protect us, to give us knowledge and understanding, and we trust Him for wisdom. Trust Him; put your life in His hands and trust Him with your family and your friends. The same Lord who has brought us to this year will continue to hold us throughout the year.

There may be anxious moments ahead, but God is also ahead of us. He knows the future and holds our hands. Because of Him, we are not afraid, we are not dismayed, and we are not anxious; He holds the future in His hands. The Lord will not fail you; the Lord will not forsake you; the Lord will guide you, and the Lord will preserve you. So, Happy New Year to everyone in this year of fruitfulness! Let’s share a word of prayer together.

Say with me: Heavenly Father, thank You for a New Year. 2021, crown this year with Your goodness and make me fruitful. In Jesus' name, amen and amen. My friend, God is going to make you fruitful, and you are going to see productivity in your life. May the Lord bless you and keep you, and may His goodness go before you. I’m Pastor Mensa Otabil. Shalom, peace, and life to you!
