Mensa Otabil - Stand (09/29/2025)

Mensa Otabil - Stand
TOPICS: Word to Go

Well, as you know, the 40 Days of Power is over. We’ve had a great time in the presence of God. So what do we do after 40 days of praying, fasting, believing God, and trusting God? We have to learn to stand. Throughout this week, I’ll be talking about standing, and today we’ll look at Ephesians chapter 6, verse 13. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. That’s what God says we should do: having done all, to stand.

When an athlete wins a race, they have to stand on the podium to receive their prize. You cannot run so hard and so well, and afterwards not stand for your reward. You’ve prayed, you’ve believed God, and you’ve trusted God. It’s time to stand for your reward. If you read the verse carefully, it tells us to have done all to stand, and the next verse says, stand therefore. So we stand, and we stand. In order to stand, we have to rise up, take our place, and remain in place. You don’t stand by sitting; you stand by rising. So be on your feet and get ready for what God is about to unleash and deposit into your life. Stand in faith, stand strong in the word of God.

Many times, after people have done so much, especially after they have prayed for so long and waited on the Lord, the feeling is to rest, take a nap, relax, and take it easy. But in this warfare that we are in, we don’t take it easy after we’ve worked hard and labored in prayer; we continue standing. So keep standing, keep trusting God, and keep walking by faith. We stand in the place that God has appointed for us, the place that He has marked for us. So today, God has marked a place of victory for you—stand there. God has marked a place of favor for you—stand there. God has made that a place of breakthrough for you—stand there. Don’t let God knock out your breakthrough and you go stand in defeat. There is breakthrough for you; stand in your breakthrough, stand in your favor, stand in the abundance, and receive that which God has for you.

After we have prayed, fasted, and trusted God, that is all we have to do: stand. We don’t stand in one place today and shift locations; you stand in faith. You prayed in faith, so don’t change your address; your address is faith. You prayed in faith—believe God in faith, stand in faith, expect Him to do what He has promised you. Today, I just want to encourage you: you’ve done so well, you’ve fought so well, you’ve prayed so well. Keep standing, and stand in the word of God, and stand in the place that God has appointed for you. Are you going to stand? I will, and you must, and let’s keep standing because your reward is rolling over and it’s coming to you.

Let’s share a word of prayer together. Say with me, «Heavenly Father, I stand today to receive my answers to prayer. I remain in faith, trusting You for a full manifestation in Jesus' name. Amen and amen.» Keep standing, my friend. God is showing you favor; stand in favor. He’s giving you breakthrough; stand in the breakthrough. And Pastor Mensa Otabil, shalom, peace, and life to you.
