Kenneth Copeland - Fixing Your Mind on God

Kenneth Copeland - Fixing Your Mind on God

— Now I keep using that great song by Stuart Hamblen. "God is a good God". Now you can't copyright a title, but you can lyrics. There's another one. "God is a good God, yes he is". Uh-huh. Yeah, when I'm white, when I'm black. And the pastor and the choir, you can YouTube it. I don't remember his name. But I tell you, get that and watch that. Listen to that choir. God is a good God, yes he is. Oh yes. Amen. Glory to God. And we're going to go to first John. Remember this now, class. And I'm talking to the radio and television audience. Remember this. Peter, James and John. Peter, and the two sons of Zebedee. This speaks very highly of Mr. Zebedee. Those three. I mean, they were in on everything. Now, John the apostle of love. He was the only one they were unable to kill.

— That's right.

— And the practice was, you had this big boiling oil pot, and they'd take Christians with a grappling hook and just dump them down in there and just pull a skeleton out of there. They did that to John and they pulled him out and he had ...

— God threw him away.

— They threw him out their own out of Patmos just to get rid of him. Well, you know what happened out there, he wrote the revelation. Now this apostle of love. He's the only one that lived out his life. He's the one to whom Jesus infested his mother.

— That's right.

— Man, your mother, mother your son. He took care of her.

— That's right.

— Now, let's go to first John in the fourth chapter, look at the fourth, first. Now we're talking about the love of God. And this is the apostle of love and the goodness of God. Love is good and everything good created was God and everything God created was good. Now notice you are of God little children and have overcome them then want them devils. Because greater is he that's in you than he that's in the world. Now come over here. Right in the midst of all of this. Verse 10, here in his love. "Not that we love God, but that he loved us and sent his son to be the propitiation or sacrifice for our sins. Beloved. If God so loved us, we ought to also love one another". Now come on down here to the 15th verse, whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the son of God, God dwelleth in him and he in God. And we have known, look, we have known and believed the love because he is so good. Believe the love. I learned that what I talked about yesterday, that God loved me as much as he loves Jesus. And it changed my entire existence. He loves me. He cares for me, more than I can understand. But look at this, here in us and we have believed that God loved us. God is love. And he that dwelleth in love, dwelleth in God, here in is our love made perfect that we may have boldness in the day of judgment because as he is so are we in this world, there is no fear in love shall fear David. And he was afraid of him because he saw things in him he wished he was.

— Right.

— And used to be.

— Right.

— He was once like this young man. Now, there is no fear in love, but perfect or growing mature love casts out fear. You cannot cast out fear with faith alone. It's the power of love that the power of God, faith field words dominate the laws of sin and death. Now, Greg this is so huge. There is no fear in love. Perfected love...

— Cast out fear.

— "Cast out fear, because fear has torment. He that fears is not made material in love. We love him because he first loved us". Now you just follow this, follow all this. This is a good God and the man that the devil just couldn't kill.

— That's right.

— He just couldn't handle him. Glory to God-

— I will always referred to himself as the disciple whom the Lord loves.

— Yes, that was his confession...

— Confession over himself.

— He said that he wouldn't call himself. He said, "I'm the one that God loves". Well now he was there when Jesus said, "If you believe what you say will come to pass you will have what to say". So he put that into operation. So now you come on down here and then you come down, verse four, a fifth chapter, "Whatsoever is born of God, overcome the world and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith, who is he that overcome with the world but he that believed that Jesus is the son of love". Jesus is the son of love.

— Son of goodness.

— Yes. The son of God is good. Glad you brought that up. Let's go to the book of Colossians real quick. Glory to God. Here it is, right here in this first chapter of Colossians. Mm-hmm. Dear Lord I love this book. But let's come down here. I write this one on my Partner Letter. "For this cause we also since the day we heard it do not cease to pray for you". I do not cease to pray this for my partners. "And desire that you might be filled with the knowledge of his will and all wisdom and spiritual understanding that you might walk worthy of the Lord and all pleasing". How do you please him with faith? "Being fruitful in every good work, increasing in the knowledge of God, strengthened with all might or all Dunamis, all power. According to his glorious power unto all patience and long suffering with joyfulness. Giving thanks unto the father which made us meet or able to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light who had delivered us. Who has already delivered us from the authority of darkness and has translated us into the kingdom". The Agape kingdom of God.

— By the blood.

— The kingdom of love.

— Yes. Kingdom of love, kingdom of goodness, light kingdom of faith, kingdom of light

— brightness.

— Yes. Amen. Now you started this in first John four. You are of God little children. There's a theme here all week long.

— Yes.

— The maturity, understanding knowledge of good and evil requires...

— We've got that out of the book of Hebrews,

— Hebrews chapter five...

— And how do you do that?

— You stay in the Word and you believe it and you meditate it. You can't just read it. What happened to Joshua? Moses has gone and now he got to go into combat and he knows it. And the last time he was over there, there was some really big people.

— That's right.

— But now, no Joshua and Caleb said, "no, no. We can do it 40 years ago when you still do it now". But what did his instructions... Let's look at it. Joshua and the eighth chapter or excuse me, the first chapter. He said to him in the fifth verse, "Thou shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of their life, as I was with Moses show I will be with thee, I will not fail thee nor forsake thee".

— God with us.

— Yes. With him.

— Now you be strong and of good courage for under this people shall you divide for an inheritance so forth. Only be thou strong and very courageous. Now he's thinking about all this. He's got to face these people. He really doesn't know what's over there. And he's been a long time out there in that desert. And he's an old man now. And he's got a job in front of him and he's the combat commander now. But he's got a good army. All the old ones are gone. The 70 and 80 year olds are gone. I've got a bunch of young men, 20 years and older. But he's thinking about all this. You be strong now. Look verse eight. "This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate there in day and night that thou mayest observe to do according to all that's written there in. For then you will make your way prosperous and then you will have good success". Now here's what he said. Now you've been in combat.

— Yes sir.

— You know what it's like. I didn't have the honor and privilege of doing that. I was between wars. But it's on your mind. Particularly the first time you had to get over there. What's he going to be like? Am I going to hold up? I'm trained. My trainings worked and I know I'm willing to do this. I've been through all that training and all that, but what's it going to be like? What are the people like that I'm going to be up against over here? And how am I going to die today? And Josh was thinking about all that. So notice what he said. You meditate on my word day and night. You get your mind on me. You think about me. I'm the one you thinking about. Not those people over there. I'm God. They're just people. But you work for me. You're well-equipped, I've already taught you that there's an angel with you. And he's still there. You go back to Exodus 23, 25 and you don't start in the 25th verse. You go back up the 20th verse. And he said I'm putting an angel with you because Moses said, "We can't go by ourselves". No he said, "I'm putting an angel with you and he'll bless you. Your bread and water. Now I'll take sickness from the midst of it". So he said, "You think about me. You get your mind on me. I'm good, they're bad. You win".

— That's what David did. David had his mind on God instead of... Everybody else had their mind on Goliath.

— Yes.

— And he had his mind on God. He knew he was not alone. You were with me when I slid a bear. You're with me when a slew a lion. For the couple of, in the year 2020 last year, we had a whole lot of believers get their mind on a virus, rather than I have a covenant. I've had an angel. He blessed my bread and water, takes sickness from the midst of me. That's what our mind should have been stayed on.

— Yes. Instead of the television. We turned it off. And you can get to where you knew what it was going to say. And because all eight people died. Oh there's a whole lot of people died today. The regular flu is still killing people because they still eat the same stupid way that they ate before they got that. This is the regular flu. There's a whole lot of people getting over the regular flu without any vaccine. And I tell you class. Gosh, riding motorcycle with a mask on her face. Mask that do any good outside. It's the magic virus that can only go six feet.

— And more and more truth is coming out about that. You mentioned combat. There was a sergeant that I was with that he was a Vietnam vet. He was in the guard now. And he'd been around a while. And I picked him out real quickly and I said, "I'm hanging around that right there. Because he knows some things. And all the stripes are on his shoulders".

— Oh yeah.

— And we went into a one deal and that thought. And he could recognize the look for everybody. And I remember him saying, "We're not dying today". And that's what he said, that's all he said. We're not dying today. We're going to do this mission. We're going to go back. We're going to sleep in our bunks. We're going to have dinner tonight. What's he doing? He's changing the way all of us were doing this.

— Because he had been there and been there and been there and been there and we're not dying today,

— Right. He'd come from the army. He had a combat infantry badge. And he was allowed to wear it, thank God on his Air Force uniform. And that's when I realized I'm just hanging around that guy right there.

— Sure.

— And he would talk to you like that. We're going to do our job. We're going to get these guys that are wounded out. We're going to get them back to the hospital. We're going to have dinner tonight together. I mean, that's the way he talked to you to get that fear out of you. Absolutely right. Because none of us, we hadn't been in a school yard fight. That's about all we'd been now.

— Here's my concern. And I'm saying this to the radio and television audience. This prove to me that you could so motivate an entire nation of people with fear of a flu virus. That there are people now, I'm not condemning the people, do you understand? I'm condemning the devil and I'm in love, scolding Christian people that allowed this to happen to you. There are people that are receiving their vaccine so that they can fly on the airlines. I can understand your need to fly. I'm not knocking that. But listen, if he can persuade a people to be vaccinated so that you can do business, also you can brand their hand in their Ford with a mark of the beast. I saw it. I saw how easy it is to do. And it just ran cold chills over me.

— And persecute the ones that wouldn't do it.

— Are you kidding me while you're putting your little child in danger because you won't receive the vaccine.

— You can't come in...

— And I have medical doctors that just cringe when they think about that little baby had been taken a vaccine. That it is unknown thing. It has not been tested. And there's no need for that little baby to have that vaccine in the first place. And when you get down to the bottom line, what is it? The love of money. The love of political power.

— That's right.

— The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

— Yes it is.

— And that's the principle thing. And that's what we've got to be done. And all of this children, I truly believe what did he tempt him with? God's withholding something from you. And in the day that you eat of this, you will know what he knows. You'll be like God. Well, they already were. I believe based on type and shadow that they had been in the garden for about 33 years. 33, 34, 35 years, because Jesus is a second Adam. I truly believe over and over and over. We see children, children, children, maturity. They're going to learn how to judge. I believe their father would have taught them.

— Well, no question about it...

— Without having to eat of the tree.

— No question about that because Jesus knew the difference between good and evil and he got it out of the Word.

— Right.

— Well, we know the first murder was over the tithe.

— That's right.

— So that fruit actually was their tithe. It belonged to God. Don't eat this. Don't spend your tithe. They were explicitly commanded not to eat that, but they did it anyway. Greg, I'm totally convinced of this. Had they waited, picked it. It obviously was green. It hadn't ripened. It was not the time. Had they waited and brought that fruit to him. It was their job to tend all of that garden.

— Right.

— And to bring him what belonged to him then because of what we know about the tithe. He would have sat them down and said all right. Let me teach you something.

— That's right. That's what he had done.

— The Hebrew word for being tender's of the garden. Don't think of somebody mowing grass.

— No, no.

— The actual Hebrew word likens them to a priest of the garden. And he's anointed us to be kings and priests-

— And to guard it. Protect it.

— Absolutely right.

— Because there were nothing bad in there.

— No.

— No. The weeds and stuff didn't come to later.

— And they were supposed to make the rest of the planet like that place.

— It should have, you got a bunch of barren planets out there. Had they continued to carry this on, had families and grow with this until the earth was what it should have been. Then this strong desire in man to get into space, he should have been there to start with.

— Right.

— It would have been time then to start populating other planets, which had been there a long time. We know that before they ever got here. Because there had already been a flood when that first generation was wiped out. God didn't create this planet full of water.

— Right.

— Come on. Then he flooded it again and he said, "I'll never do that again".

— That's right. He created us to have a relationship...

— This should have been the garden spot of the universe right here. And God never changes his plans.

— No.

— It's coming, a new heaven...

— It's coming, a new heaven and a new earth...

— And a new earth. No, no, no. Now it's going to be this same place.

— The whole earth creation growneth for this thing to be done.

— And this thing I said, "Okay, now come out here and just come on out here with me. And we would just get rid of all this". Now, let's start over. You have to understand that heaven is a planet. It has a north and south and the east and west. It has to be round. It's not flat and not over the edge there'd be dragons.

— No.

— No. He said accomplish. Now it'll still be that way. And the manifestation of heaven itself will all be one powerful creation. He'll start over again. And we will have a part in the creation of the new universe

— and it'll come through one man and Philippians Paul will write in Philippians chapter two, verse eight. And being when did I get older?

— Yes, sir.

— I want to put it in my eyes, yes.

— Well, let's go. Philippians chapter two, go to verse six. "Who being in the form of God, thought it not be robbery to be equal with God, but made himself of no reputation took upon him the form of a servant, was made in the likeness of men and being found in the fashion as a man, he humbled himself into become obedient onto death. Even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, given him a name above every name". This is the man that will redo everything...

— Yes it is...

— And we're in him and he's in us. We're one, as they are one.

— There are coming to that time and we will have to hold him up. We will have to stand. When he says depart from me I never knew that,

— the day he dreads...

— and we're out of time. Come on Jeremy glory to God, hallelujah.
