Kenneth Copeland - The Yoke-Destroying Anointing Is Alive In You
Let's go to Isaiah chapter 10 please. Did you ever notice how often Jesus used and quoted the prophet Isaiah. That very day, the Spirit of the Lord, "He came to Nazareth where he'd been brought up. His custom was he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day and stood up for to read. There was delivered unto him, the book of the prophet Isaiah. When he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written". He didn't follow the reading of that Sabbath. He changed and went to the 61st verse of the book of Isaiah and read that and said this day is this scripture fulfilled and in your ears, I'm here. I'm the one, I'm the anointed. And he has called me to preach the gospel to the poor. A preacher. He's a preacher.
Do you ever wonder how come preachers get loud? All you have to do is read the 8th chapter of the book of Luke and you got it. He's preaching on the "sower soweth the Word", And it said, "he said with a loud voice, he that hath ears to hear let him hear"! If you're not listening you don't get it because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. That's the reason we get loud. He's still a preacher and he's still the Spirit of God. Get on me just like it got on to him. And when he gets on me, I get on you. Hey, the older I get, it seems like the louder I get, I don't know. Maybe it just seems that way. But anyway. In this 10th chapter, oh my, my my my. Verse 27.
Now you understand everything in this first covenant is a type and shadow of the second covenant. They are both covenants of blood, one, first in the blood of animals. Second, in the blood of a man through circumcision and then third, in the blood of Jesus. Amen. So, "it shall come to pass in that day". Now, this is talking about the day of Jesus. And it's talking about, he's reading this. Well, he's reading out of the 61st chapter. But he found himself in the book of Isaiah. He found himself, in the 52nd, 53rd and 54th chapters of the book of Isaiah. Amen. By his stripes, we are healed. And then Peter looking back on it said by his stripes, you were healed. Belongs to you, glory to God, hallelujah. Because Jesus belongs to me.
"His burden shall be taken from off your shoulder. His yoke from off your neck, the yoke shall be destroyed", not broken, destroyed. Unfit for use. If it's broken, you can put it back together. It's talking about a yoke of iron. You can put it back together. But if it's destroyed and of course my being a pilot, first thing I thought it was, was corrosion, in an airplane wing or aluminum. You can't put that back together. You can't put it and you have to find it through a form of X-ray. And when it's there, if it's more than just where you just clean it off, you can just throw that wing away. And in some case you just throw the airplane away.
I don't care what the thing's worth. It's worthless. It is absolutely worthless. Because aluminum doesn't rust, it corrodes, and it turns to powder. Well, rust turns to powder. That immediately strikes my mind that yoke, that burden that's on someone's back and the anointing comes and destroys it. Hallelujah. Let's just praise Him for a moment. Take a moment. Praise and worship Him, glory to God. "It shall be destroyed because of the anointing because of the anointing", because of the Anointed One. Now, in the Spanish Bible, Graza, Greece. because of the oil, see it's a type. But the type is no good unless it has a true future. One translation said, "because of the fat". Now wait a minute, fat. One of them said, "because your neck will get so big that the yoke can't stay around it". Any of you that are hunters.
You know that particularly if you're a deer hunter, you know that during the rut, I'm telling you that buck's neck gets so big and then it gets so big doesn't even look normal, just huge. It's swells up, just looks terrible. And that picture comes to my mind. Now, whatever yoke you had on his neck. And they'd got started getting big like that. And he's got chasing girls on his mind, he's going to break it off, I don't care. And he's just like everybody else, you chase girls long enough, you know that's going to get you trouble. I could have gone all day without saying that. Well, there is a lesson there. Hey man, that I don't have time to get into right now. But I wish I hadn't said it, but it's out there. Forgive me, Lord. But you can see what he's referring to. You can see to whom he is referring.
Now, I'll prove it to you. Look at the 11th chapter. You do know this wasn't written in chapter and verse, right? You do know. "There shall come", He's still talking about verse 27 and all the rest of this came down to the 34th verse. Then he came into the 11th, "there shall come forth at rod out of the stem of Jesse. A branch shall grow out of his roots and the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him. The spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord and shall make him of quick understanding in the fear or in the reverence of his God".
That's what happens when a person is filled with the Spirit of God and you come to that place where you are so aware of the power of God, that's in you and on you. And you just pray and worship in the Spirit a lot, a lot. You can do what the Bible said. You can pray perseveringly, you can pray without ceasing, but you're going to have to do it in tongues. You can do it driving down the highway. You can do it standing in a grocery store. You don't have to be praying out loud. You're standing there in that checkout line, praying for people all around you. Then the anointing could very possibly become so strong on you that you're gonna wind up ministering to people in that grocery store, particularly at a time like this. Put your little mask on and walk up to them and say, I'm supposed to pray for you today. And God's supposed to heal you today.
You just watch what happens I've done this, Gloria has done this. We've done it, in stores and grocery stores and places over and over and over and over and over and over again. Not one time were we ever turned away. We had a meeting in Lubbock, Texas, where I was born, and the people stayed away in huge crowds. We were there three weeks, little metal building in the fairground, middle of the summer. Nobody came. The word of the Lord came to me and reminded me when you have a feast, don't call your friend. Oh, okay. So, I called a real estate agent there and I said, would you come show us the most poverty-stricken area in Lubbock? And he said, well, yeah, why do you want to see that for? And I told him and he said, whoa, yeah. And he drove us down there. And here was the assignment.
Now we're gonna knock on doors. We do not mention our meeting first. Joe Mulford was with me, but we're Christian people. And we know a little something about praying. And if there's anyone in this household that needs prayer, we're here to pray. Now, Gloria and her prayer partner, were going out. I was going out with my prayer partner and we were going to different places different places, not one person.
One woman looked at Gloria through the blind shade. She said, don't go away. Don't go away please, don't go away. And she ran inside, and Gloria and her partner stood out there and waited. She went in and changed clothes. She said, now you can come in. The most outstanding one I've ever seen in my life in this kind of circumstance knocked on this door and this woman, I told her, she said, you boys Pentecost? We said, yes ma'am. She said, okay, come on in. She said, this old neighborhood got so bad. And she said, I got to where I couldn't go to church. And I've been praying Oh Lord send me somebody full of the Holy Ghost that can pray. She said, let's go to sister's house.
Well, sister's house was just right there. Gee, the next door right behind her, wherever. I don't remember now. And sister was just sitting there in a chair. She said now, sister lost her mind. And she's just been like this, I've forgotten how many years said that she's been out of it. So, Joe got on one side and I got on the other. And we just started praying in the Spirit, and I laid my hands on her. She said, where'd you boys come from? She turned around to her sister and said, "sister look over there in the refrigerator and get them a Dr. Pepper". She took up right where she had been years, before. And now listen, sister said, "can you see"? She said, "well, of course I can see where these boys come from"? She just began to shout, she said she lost her eyesight through sugar diabetes. Just going around praying for people.
Then, we told them about the healing service on Saturday morning, out in the parking lot in 106 degree weather. You think this is hot in here? And I had a whole bottle of oil sitting on platform. I forgot it's that hot. Man, we were having miracles, it's just happening all over the place. And this woman came up there in front of me and uh, now, Clyde, there was, you might understand a large number of these people were black because of that neighborhood. And this woman, bless her heart. She came up there with, really hurting. Her stomach was hurting, she was in pain. I forgot how hot, (Clyde says, "the oil was") I picked up that bottle and I just poured it on her head. Aaaah, say what I thought it was the power of God came on her. It was. She said, my God I'm healed look at this. Her stomach had gone down. She said look at this, look at this, I'm healed already God. Didn't have anything to do with that oil being 106 degrees. Hallelujah.
Turn to Ephesians chapter four, and then we'll go to the book of Philippians. Just turn left one book. Verse 11, "He gave some apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. Until we all come in the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the son of God, to a full mature man under the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, the anointed one and his anointing. And we henceforth be no more children tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine by the slight of men and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive. But speaking the truth in love may grow up into him in all things, which is the head even Christ"
Now listen, "from whom", from Jesus, "the whole body fitly joined together". But now notice this, "compacted or held together by that, which every joint supplies. According to the effectual working in the measure of every part making increase of the body to the edifying of itself in love". I'll close, in this. "Paul and Timothy servants of Jesus Christ, the anointed one. To all the saints in Christ, Jesus, which are at Philippi with the bishops and the deacons, grace be unto you and peace from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ". Oh, this is me, glory to God. "I thank my God on every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine, for you all making requests with joy for your", now in Luke 5:7, the fishing partners in Luke 5:7, this word, fellowship was translated partner.
It is Greek for partnership. "For your partnership in the gospel from the first day, until now, being confident of this very thing that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Even as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart". Now God, the Father, Jesus Christ of Nazareth has joined you and joined me and joined Gloria together in this ministry. And I'm talking to our partners all over the world, glory to God, hallelujah. We have become one family. We have become a family together hallelujah. Joined together for a purpose, "being confident of this very thing". "Even as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart in as much as both in my bonds and in the defense and in the confirmation of the gospel, you are all partakers of my grace".
You are all partakers of my anointing. All of these are anointings. This was a convict church. This was the church where in the dungeon that night, Paul and Silas, this and that jailer is the pastor of this church. And he's writing this to them and he said "that anointing that came on me when we were in that prison that night belongs to you". You're the only ones that have supported me financially. The only one. You're the only ones, even after I left, you continued to put, you're my partners. He called him his partners. And they're thinking, dear Lord, we saw what happened that night, we were there. My God, in his bonds, you mean that kind of anointing? Well, yeah.
See, they're thinking correctly, that anointing came out of him. He and Sila were the only two in there. And it was so powerful, it was so, nobody could move everybody just frozen in place. And the chains fell off the earthquake didn't cause the chains to fall, I'm totally convinced, they prayed, they sang praises unto the Lord while they were still in those stocks, And that earthquake came and that same big angel or one just like him the same angel I'm convinced, that stood beside Paul in the belly of that ship. That same one that Peter was supposed to have been executed the next morning. He was now, he was really afraid, wasn't he? He was sound asleep that angel had to kick him in the side to wake him up. And when he got up, his chains fell off of him, huh? No earthquake. What? Spirit power.
That's what we're talking about while ago, spirit power, angelic power, and the gate opened of it's own accord, for that angel. He walked Peter outside and disappeared. Angel power was so prevalent in that time. And so well taught in that time when he knocked on the door and the little girl looked out and saw Peter, she came back and said, his angel is at the door. "In my bonds, in the defense and in the confirmation of the gospel, you're partakers of my grace", now in the fourth, you need to read this whole thing. Because it is a partner letter. Read it in several translations and read. Because this is the same relationship you and I have together. For the time, sake of time, go to the fourth chapter.
Now, isn't this amazing in the 13th verse? "I can do all things through Christ, through the anointing of God, which strengthens me". Praise God. "Supernatural deliverance in a time of impossibilities, because this is the time of weakness when you're a power and you're anointing and you're great becomes so big and so strong".
