Kenneth Copeland - The Power of Psalm 91 for Protection and Healing

Kenneth Copeland - The Power of Psalm 91 for Protection and Healing
TOPICS: Protection, Healing

And we just worship you, Father. We praise you this morning. We thank you for every healing, every salvation, every restoration, every miracle done and we expect many, many, many, many, many, many, many to be done, glory to God. Thank you, Jesus. All right, praise God. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Hallelujah. Thank you, Lord.

Let's open our Bibles to the book of Hebrews and this I can quote it, you can quote it, I want you to put your eyes on it. That's one of the prescriptions for healing in Proverbs 4:20,21 and 22. "Don't let them depart from your eyes. Attend to my words, incline your ear unto my saying, don't let them depart from your eyes. Keep them in the midst of your heart, for they're health or medicine to all your flesh". So we put our eyes, on the 13th chapter and the eighth verse. Let's read it out loud together. "Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever". Again, "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever". He never changes. God never changes. It's you it's me, we're the ones that make the change. He never changes. If He ever healed one time, then He heals forever. So healing belongs to the world. I'll tell you what let's do.

Let's talk about healing, belonging to the believer. Of course, Isaiah 53. Thank you, Jesus. When Isaiah was prophesying about Jesus, did you ever notice, how many times Jesus talked about and quoted Isaiah? He found himself in the book of Isaiah and of course He's in every book of the Bible, but He found himself in the book of Isaiah and look at this 53rd chapter, verse four, "Surely, He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows. We did esteem him stricken, smitten of God and afflicted". In fact, we'll let the Bible interpret itself, griefs and sorrows, literally as He bore our sicknesses and carried our pains. Oh, I'll tell you the works of the Lord are here this morning. Praise God. What? Blankenship. What about him? Someone named Blankenship. Did I say it right? Yeah, Blankenship. "The works that I do shall he do also sayeth the Lord and greater works than these shall he do". Glory to God. Whoa, hallelujah.

Now, no better place to go at this point, but the 91st Psalm. And I'm gonna read this this morning, the way the Lord read this to me one day and oh, I'll tell you. Well, let me read it this way. Now, I want you to notice how important the words of your mouth and the words of my mouth are to your preservation and protection. How important it is to your "sozo", "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High", you can't get any higher than this. "He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty". The word Almighty in there is Shaddai. The God that's more than enough. The God that He's the great God. He's the full God. He's the nurse. He's the keeper. He's everything. He is Shaddai and Jesus is El Shaddai in the flesh, hallelujah. Our complete and total supply.

Now listen to, watch this, "I will say of the Lord", say that. "I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress. He is my God and in Him will I trust", period. Now there's three people in this psalm. What? Oh, just stay with me, you're gonna like this. There's three people in the psalm. There's me. I just said it and that's the last of this part of it. And then there's Jesus. And then there's the Father. And you'll see the strange way that this is ordered. And of course, some of it comes out this way because it translated in English from Hebrew. But hey, there's revelation to be had, in the English translation, you understand that? "I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress. He is my God, in Him will I trust. Surely, He shall deliver thee", what? That's Jesus.

All I said was, "I say of the Lord, He's my refuge and my fortress, He's my God and in Him, do I trust". "Kenneth, surely, He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the noisom and pestilence". Oh yeah, thank you, Lord. He will cover you with His feathers. Who? The Almighty, the Father. "He will cover you with His feathers and under His wings, shall you trust. His truth shall be your shield and buckler". Oh thank you, Jesus. I receive that. "You will not be afraid for the terror by night, nor for the arrow that flies by day. You will not be afraid of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor for the destruction that waste at noonday. Kenneth, a thousand shall fall at your side and 10,000 at your right hand, but it will not come near you, son".

Oh, thank you, Jesus. Only with your eyes, now you might wanna do this. Only with your eyes, I made a little note right there. Only with your eyes, like a bad movie, not coming at me, it's just a bad movie. The image of losing my job, it's just a bad movie, it's not gonna happen. I got the promise. "Only with your eyes, Kenneth, shall you behold and see the reward of the wicked. Kenneth, because you have made the Lord", which is my refuge, this is Jesus. "You have made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the Most High, your habitation, there shall no evil befall you".

Neither shall any plague, neither shall any COVID-19 come nigh your dwelling, glory to God". Neither shall cancer come nigh your dwelling. Neither shall tuberculosis come nigh your dwelling. Neither shall back pain and spinal stenosis come nigh your dwelling. Neither shall liver disease come nigh your dwelling, glory to God. No, no, no, no, no. Neither shall any kind of heart trouble, heart disease, heart attacks, no it not come nigh your dwelling. Praise God. Thank you, Lord Jesus. "For He, Kenneth, your Father shall give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways". Now, what are all those ways? All these ways that He just got through talking to me about. "To keep you in all your ways. They shall bear you up in their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone".

Every time we get in the airplane, whether I'm flying or whether I'm not makes no difference. Every time, before we do anything, we touch the sides of that airplane and I pray this, "Father in the Name of the Lord, Jesus Christ, I plead the blood over this airplane today for protection against every evil spirit, every evil person, every evil thing, every evil plan of the devil is bound and stopped and thwarted. Ministering angels lift us up in your hands lest we dash our foot against a stone. Keep us in all of our ways, according to the 91st Psalm and bless our partners beyond measure, in the Name of Jesus".

Every flight, every time. I strongly suggest you do that, every time you get in the car. Every time you get on public transportation, I don't care what it is. You get on an airline, you do the thing, same thing. You go sit down in that seat and do that. Somebody's liable to hear me. Yeah, the devil, that's who'll hear you. Glory to God. Praise you, Jesus. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Stay with me now. "They shall bear thee up in their hands. Kenneth, lest you dash your foot against a stone. Son, you will tread upon the line and the adder and the young lion and the dragon shall you trample under your feet".

And now, the Father steps in and says this to Jesus, "Jesus, because Kenneth has set his love upon me, therefore, will I deliver him. I will set him on high because he's known my name. He will call upon me and I will deliver him. I will be with him, I will be with he and Gloria in trouble. I will deliver Kenneth and Gloria and honor Kenneth and Gloria and with long life, will I satisfy them and I'll show them my salvation". And I pray that way. Just worshiping Him, I say, "Father, I place my love upon you this morning. And I know you're with me in times of trouble. And I know you hear me and I know who you show me your salvation, glory to God. My angels are on duty. Hallelujah, Jesus, and the power of God is living on the inside of me and my Father watches over me".

Can you see that? Glory to God. It's just marvelous in my thinking this morning, praise God. Now then, thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Lord yeah. Look at this, I quoted it, the 107th Psalm. Everybody quotes that 20th verse. Let's look at the 17th. "Fools because of their transgression and because of their iniquities are afflicted. Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat and they draw near unto the gates of death. Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble and He saves them out of their distresses. He sent his word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction".

Oh, glory to God. I don't care what kind of mess you've gotten yourself into. Hey, just repent on the thing, forget it, put a smile on your face. He sent His Word and His Name is Jesus. And the Spirit of God is in this place today. Just begin to praise Him right now. Just worship Him and just bless His Name. Bless His Name. Worship the living God. Oh, glory, glory, glory, glory, glory, glory, glory, glory, glory, glory, glory, glory, glory, glory, glory. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Praise you, Lord Jesus. Thank you, Lord Jesus.

The 119th Psalm verse 62. The verse 61, "The bands of the wicked", talking about the devil, "have robbed me". What's he done? He's robbed you of your health, he's robbed you of your finances, robbed you of members of your family. "Has robbed me. I have not forgotten your word. At midnight, I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of your righteous judgment". Now verse 68, "You are good and do good. Teach me your statutes". He is good. He does good. His statutes are good. He's the healer. He's the financier. He's the good God, hallelujah. Oh, praise God. Jesus, the same yesterday, today and forever. How God anointed Jesus Christ of Nazareth, let's look at it, I want you to put your eyes on it.

Acts chapter 10, at Cornelius's house. Verse 34, "Peter opened his mouth and said, of the truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons". What He's done for them, He'd do for you. He'd do it right now, He's doing it right now. And every nation, every nation, I don't know how many nations are online this morning, a lot. Not just the United States, not just Canada, every nation. "In every nation, he that fears Him or has reverence for Him and work of righteousness is accepted with Him, the word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ, He is Lord of all, that word I say, you know, which was published throughout all Judea and began from Galilee after the baptism of John", that's when Jesus started preaching. Was after He's baptized in water, glory to God. Thank you, Lord Jesus.

"How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power who went about doing good". He went about teaching. He went about preaching. He went about doing good and healing. "He went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with Him". God was with him. And someone might say, "Yeah, but Brother Copeland, that is Jesus". No, it wasn't Jesus, it was God that was with Him. It was God that was in Him. God that anointed Him, it's the same God that's in you. It's the same God that's on you, glory to God. You can do the same thing, I don't care whether you're called into the five-fold ministry or not. You can do the same thing in the workplace. You can do the same thing at school. You can do the same thing as you're going to college. High school students, you can do the same thing. Amen.

Just stay prayed up all the time and ready. Thanking Lord, to teach, preach and heal. It's like Jesus. 'Cause you're anointed. Oh, things are happening, glory to God. Somebody was just healed in the throat, particularly high up in the throat. Oh yes, thank you, Jesus. Someone had a trachea put in and I don't know, is something wrong with it. It's painful, it's not working right for some reason or another. And I think that's being healed right now, glory to God. And you'll be able to swallow. Somebody was healed right in the backside of your shoulder. Right in here, the sore and, what was that word? It's a form of bursitis and it's being healed right now.

Just move that arm around and say, "Glory to God, I call my shoulder well. I call my body well, glory to God. I call things that be not as well they were and I call my shoulder well, thank you, Jesus. Thank you Lord". Yes, hallelujah. Now, move it around, act on it. Act on your faith, put it into action, glory to God. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Yeah. Right here in the small of the back some kind of pain and stiffness. Just go there and get those toes. Now, if I can do it at 83 years old, you can do it. Just get up and act on the Word. Just go there and get it like that. Thank you, Jesus. Glory to God, glory to God. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Praise you, Lord. Yeah, I'll go there. Now, Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.
