Kenneth Copeland - Faith In Chesed Makes You Whole
Let's look at Matthew 15 verse 21, "Jesus went then and departed into the coast of Tyre and Sidon. Behold", that means look okay in your mind now look. "A woman of Canaan came out of the same coast and cried unto him. Saying, have chesed on me, oh Lord". Called him Lord. Have chesed on me, God, son of David. My daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. And he answered her not a word. His disciples came and besought him saying, send her away for she cries after us. Jesus answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Then came she, she didn't quit. I mean she did ran after him. This is one persistent woman. God bless her.
Now you're going to understand the statement that Jesus made. She said she came and worshiped him saying, Lord, help me. He answered and said, it is not right to take the children's bread and to cast it to dogs. She said that true Lord, it isn't right. Yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their master's table. Then Jesus answered and said unto her, Oh woman, great is your faith, be it unto thee even as you will.
Now, what was her faith? Number one, she knew he was Messiah. Number two, she called for chesed. Number three, she wouldn't quit. That's what Jesus was after out of her. But cause he really, had she not exercised that faith and call for chesed he had no other right to minister to her. Hey, Hey, she didn't have any covenant, but he was looking for those words and I'm telling you, when she worshiped him and called him Lord and called him Messiah and ask for chesed, he said, woman, great is your faith. Faith in him? Well, yeah sure. Faith in his word, yes. But faith in his Chesed, his mercy endures forever. Glory be to God forever. We're getting there. Oh, we're getting there. I'm telling you where we're, where we're hearing what chesed is. Amen.
Alright, Mark chapter 10 this is not blind Bartimaeus. This is Bartimaeus that was blind. 46, They came to Jericho and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples, a number of people and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus sat by the highway side begging. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out. Jesus, son of David, have chesed on me. Many charged him that he should hold his peace, but he cried the more a great deal, Son of David, have chesed on me. Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called and they called the blind man saying of be of good comfort rise he calleth thee. And he had a coat of rank. He had been checked out by the Levitical priesthood to determine that he was actually blind and not a fake beggar and that coat was his licensed to beg.
Now here again, so many people just skimming the scripture, they don't even know that's in there. But look at it. We need to see it again. And he casting away his garment. He already knew what was going to happen. Why? His faith in chesed. He knew this man was Messiah. He knew it, knew it in his heart. Knew it. Casting away his garment rose and came to Jesus, and Jesus answered and said unto him, what were you that I should do unto thee? Now, why did he ask him that? You still have to ask. You have not because you ask not. God knows your need before you need it. But let's go back to the very beginning. God created all this, not for himself, and then He just immediately gave it to Adam, gave it to men, so he cannot just come in and just do whatever he wants to do. He can't do that. It's illegal for him to do that.
Any two of you own earth shall agree, is touching anything they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my father, which is in heaven, for whatsoever you bind in earth is then bound in heaven whatsoever you loose on earth, then is loosed in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name there in I in the midst of them. Why? To carry out the agreement. The blind man said to him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. Jesus said to him, go your way. Your faith, your faith made you whole. We know it was Jesus' anointing. What did he tell the woman that was healed of the issue of blood? Daughter, your faith made you whole. And that's what's happening to you today, your faith is making you whole. He did all this for you. He did it 2000 years ago. Grace provided it for you. Grace provided it for me.
If you're at home sick, I don't know. Maybe you, maybe you've contracted Covid-19, I don't know maybe it's something else. Whatever it is, it don't belong to you. That's not my arthritis. Jesus bore mine. Brother Copeland, could you pray for my arthritis? No. In first place you've owned it. I'm not praying for your arthritis or arthritis or any of the other ist-ses. No. Jesus bore that arthritis, it don't belong to you. Quit owning it.
I heard one man say, I was in the back seat of the car driving along there. He said, ah. He's talking to his son. He said, son, there's where daddy had his heart attack. I didn't. Of course I didn't, it's not my business to correct him in front of his son. I thought, his heart attack? Uh, I just need something for my flu. No, no, it's not your flu. Jesus bore yours. Give it back to the devil where it came from, it belongs to him. Take your flu and get, praise God. Hey, I'm not trying to be funny here. I'm telling you exactly right in the name of Jesus.
Now then and immediately he received. It didn't say immediately he was healed. It says immediately he took it. I mean, look it up. Look it up for yourself. He received it. He took it. That's what the word means. He received it. No, not every time, but most of the time, like right then I thought about it.
My grandson Jonathan is a quarterback at the university of Incarnate Word San Antonio. Now, and he's a, he's an outstanding passer. He just, I dunno, he's got game sense beyond his, his age and not just causes my grandson but it's a proven fact, but he's, he's not worth anything without a receiver. A receiver, somebody that'll take it. He has to receive it and sometimes, and I've seen it happen. You've seen it out of that. You watch the Super bowl, you watch any, Hey you, you see it, there'll be some throw that's a little bit off and you've got a good receiver out here and he'll take that thing when it looked like he couldn't even get it, butt he did.
There's healing today. You open? Yeah, there's healing from covid-19, you open? Take it. Take your healing right now. And maybe something else, you maybe quarantined, I don't know, you may have the old regular flu. It don't belong to you. Belongs to the devil. Jesus took it, nailed it on his cross, and he did it for you. Father, we thank you. Oh my God, my Lord, my savior. Of course, if I was there I would anoint you with oil. And as we, as we've taught on two different occasions and two Wednesday night and I've obeyed the Lord and I dipped my fingers in oil and held them up to the television set and I said, just touch that TV set. Well, Brother Copeland.... yeah yeah yeah. Oh shut up. Forgive me. There's no healing in that oil, it's a point of contact.
Now let me read something here, I want to read that scripture to you again because if I was there in your sick room or in the hospital, this is exactly what I would do. I'm going to go to James 5, and I'm going to show you something here now. Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church. Let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith shall say the sick and the Lord shall raise him up. Faith. Faith in what? Faith in that name. But now wait a minute. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Faith in the name. Not just the name. The prayer of say it, faith. Bartimaeus' faith made him whole. The woman healed of the issue of blood. Jesus said, daughter, your faith made you whole. It is your faith this morning. Your faith in his mercy.
Yeah, but Brother Copeland, I brought this on myself. Well, so? His Chesed is yours. Thank you, my father. Jesus bore our sickness, diseases, weaknesses and pains and griefs, and sorrow. They did esteem him stricken and smitten of God and afflicted, but he was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon him and with his stripes we are healed. Matthew 8:17 has said, it was fulfilled that Jesus fulfilled that which was spoken by the prophet Isaiah saying himself took our covid-19. Himself took our cancer. Himself took our sicknesses, diseases, weaknesses, and pains and bore our sicknesses. And first Peter 2:24, Jesus, Oh, don't you love him this morning? In heaven, it's all about Jesus, in the Earth it's all about Jesus. This ministry is all about Jesus. If you don't know him as your Lord and savior, Oh, come on baby.
Today's the day and just pray this with all of us here. Oh God in heaven. I believe with all my heart that you raised Jesus from the dead. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus. I receive you as my Lord and my savior. Take my life and do something with it. I receive you. I repent of my sin and I receive your mercy. I receive your chesed. Fill me now with your precious Holy Spirit. I take him, I receive him now. He's a gift to me and I fully expect to speak with other tongues just like they did on the day of Pentecost. Thank you my Lord. Thank you, my savior.
Now in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, as a prophet of God and a minister of the gospel of Jesus, I lay my hands upon you, and I pray the prayer of faith, the prayer that calls things that be not as though they were. I call you well, I call you healed. I call you delivered from every kind of sickness or disease, I call you delivered from every kind of addiction. I don't care what it is. Prescription drugs, street drugs, alcohol, pornography. I don't care what it is. I bind you Satan in the name of Jesus. Take your hands off of God's property right now. In Jesus name.
Receive your healing, take it. Say it, I believe I will. I take it, I have it. I thank you for it, Lord. And I forgive if I have ought against any, I'm a believer. I'm not a doubter. In the name Jesus. Let us hear from you. I want to hear about your being healed. I want to hear about your being delivered. I want to hear about your turning your life over to Jesus today. I want to hear about your being baptized with the Holy Ghost and fire. Glory to God. And when you go to the Lord and say, baptize me in the Holy Spirit, get that frown off your face. I receive by faith, I receive the Holy Spirit. I take it he's a gift to me. Jesus was a gift to the world. The Holy Spirit in his power was a gift to the church. Let us hear from you. In the name of Jesus, amen. Hallelujah.
