Kenneth Copeland - His Word Is His Bond

Welcome everybody to our studio here in Fort Worth, Texas on the grounds of the revival capital of the world. We're so glad you're here today. We're studying the covenants of blood, what they mean and, and how God entered into covenant with man. He's a covenant making God and He's very aware of his covenants and anything and everything that you find in the first covenant and the second covenant. I like that better than old and new. Now the meaning is the same, but it is more, um, when you're studying this it has an impact, or at least it did on my mind, had an impact on my mind. That it wasn't an old one and a new one.

There's nothing wrong with that because that's a scriptural thing to say. But it was a first covenant and a second covenant. God the almighty God, the El Shaddai God. Jehovah Rapha, the healing God entered into covenants. He was the originator of the blood covenant in the earth. Amen. And that original covenant with Abram became Abraham was the first covenant with God and the blood of a human being. All of these are stepping stones to a covenant that would be cut with the blood of God.

Now we're coming right up here on resurrection Sunday. I mean, it's just around the corner here. Amen. It is not Easter Sunday. It has nothing to do with rabbits. It's resurrection Sunday. That's the day the New covenant was ratified when he was raised from the dead. The New Testament. Testament, the last will and Testament of God. When God died, his son died and was raised from the dead by the El Shaddai by God himself, the almighty God. And now Jesus.

Now here's something TV audience here's something you need to get you get hold of this. If you don't get anything else out of this, you get this right here. His Word, do you know these are letters? How can I say this? For just a few seconds. First of all, this because of blood, the will. Say "will". I just don't know if it's God's will. It's in the will. This is the last will and Testament of almighty God through his son, Jesus. And the moment he was raised from the dead, it's finished. So for just a few moments, if you can, uh, set your religious ideas and minds and so forth, just kind of set that aside and don't think Bible.

Now this is Holy Bible and it's my Holy Bible. Glory to God. This is God speaking to me. This is God Almighty's bond. And he can't lie. It isn't that he won't, he can't. When Jesus came, it was a matter that he wouldn't. He could have. Satan tried to get him to. He's a man tempted like ever other man only a whole lot worse than any of us all put together would ever be tempted. This is his bond. Be ye therefore followers of God as dear children and walk in love. That's a commandment. Oh Brother Copeland that wasn't one of the commandments, oh yes it is a commandment. It says, walk in love. Do it, do it. When you do, then all of that it says is yours. Well, I'm trying to, he didn't say try he said do it. Well, what's wrong with saying I'm trying? Cause try just won't cut it. Well, what should I say, Lord, I believe that and I'm doing it now help me. Because whatever you say is a commandment to me.

All right. Ephesians chapter 3 that's where we were going yesterday. Now I got sidetracked. Well, no, I didn't get sidetracked. I got re-tracked. Better word. Now remember, excuse me. No, let me tell you what, hold your place there and let me go back to, because there might be a couple of people that that may be just tuning in or something so forth. We started out in Mark 11:22 have faith in God. Who is God? Well in Genesis 17 chapter 1 we find out when Abram was 90 years old and nine the Lord, the Lord. Yahweh appeared unto Abram and said unto him, "I am the almighty God".

And because of the weakness of the English language and other languages are the same way except Greek and Hebrew. You just don't get it. He said, I am El Shaddai. El meaning God singular. God, Elohim is God plural. I am El Shaddai. I am the all sufficient one. I'm everything you will ever need, Spirit, soul, body, financially. I don't care what it is. If you need it I'm him, and I'm entering into a covenant with you and I'm giving you my Word, and because I can't swear by no greater, I swear by myself. Thank you. That was a sign that the organic blackberry jumped off that plate. Oh, El Shaddai himself knew I needed a Blackberry right in that moment. Don't you love the Word of God?

Now there it is again. The Word of God. The Word of God. If my daddy, A.W. Copeland gave you his word, I want to tell you something m brother and sister, write it down. Just write it down cause it's going to happen. Some way or another, he's going to get this done. I had a banker tell me one time, he said, Kenneth, he said, now your dad. And he wasn't my dad's banker, but he had, I don't remember now a little bit about the deal, they weren't going into the explanation of it, but he said Kenneth Copeland, I don't know you, it was something like this. Your dad all that personally, but I'll loan him anything he wants. His word was his bond. I have learned that my word is my bond. Boy, it didn't used to be. I enjoyed lying. Well, I'm not going into that as stupid. But anyway. Anyway...

I shouldn't have even said that. But I'll tell you my word is my bond. My words good. If your word good? Absolutely. And one of the reason Christians have so much trouble believing the Word of God, their own word isn't much. I'll tell you what, Brother Copeland, I'll be there at three o'clock. Come dragging in at four. Well, I couldn't help it. You know what? Well don't tell me that in the first place then. Well, you know, I'll tell you it just scared me to death. You're lying.

Well Copeland, it did scare me. Yeah, but you're alive. It didn't scare you to death. So your words don't mean much. We sling the word love around until it doesn't mean, and it doesn't have the impact that God is love and his Word is his bond. Now let's go back. He said, I am El Shaddai almighty God, walk before me and be thou perfect or be that blameless. I will make my covenant between me and thee and will multiply thee exceedingly. Abram fell on his face and God talked with him, saying, as for me, my covenant is with thee, and thou shall be a father of many nations. Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham to pronounce it correctly. Abraham. That H, I mean a person reading Hebrew immediately knows what it is, it's God's name, put right in the middle of his name. They had a name change, and that's where that began.

And I mentioned this a couple of days ago that anybody in here that's married this, this, you know, and I hear people today, well, we're going to get married, but we're not going to change names. That's a covenant that doesn't mean anything. Or a prenuptial agreement, words just fail me. That's not a covenant. It's a contract. What does that old original blood covenant literally mean?

Now here again, a lot of what I learned about this, I learned from E.W Kenyon. And Dr. E.W Kenyon, Oh, what a man of faith, glory to God. And the Word faith he's one of the fathers of the Word of faith, calling things that be not as though they were and so forth. Now, and he was talking about in those original covenants, particularly between Stanley and Livingston. And Dr. Livingston was a missionary in equatorial Africa and everybody thought he had, they hadn't heard from him a long time and they thought, well, obviously he's gone.

Mr. Stanley said, no, I'm going to find him. And so he and both of them ran into the same problems. You couldn't get past a certain area, you just couldn't get into the interior. It was closed. This is where the term dark continent came from. You couldn't get in there, particularly if you're light skinned, forget it. And I don't blame them. Most of the white people went in there to plunder everything they had anyway, but they found out both of them. Dr. Livingston's interpreter told him, he said, if you want, if you want to get in here, you're going to have to cut the covenant with somebody. You're going to have to enter blood covenant with somebody to get in here. Well, and after he explained it to him, he, uh, he cut the covenant over 50 times and there was no...

Now see, that was a copy of this one. This was the first one ever on record between God and a man and the cut of the covenant was circumcision. I said, why? Why? He said, why circumcision? He said, for this reason, the only way anybody would ever know that you and your family are covenant to God you can't be proudful of that scar, but you just prosper more than anybody around you. This is the reason Satan hates the Jew, he can't defeat him. He can't kill them all and then they just keep coming back. Only nation born out of world war II was the nation of Israel. And that's what it was fought about. God brought his people back home just like he swore to them He would do it. Hallelujah, praise God forevermore.

So now I wanted you to see again here, let me go back over there. As for me, behold my covenant is with me and thou shall be a father of many nations. Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham for a father of many nations have I made thee. He'd already done it, and the man's a hundred and his wife 90, ain't no way they're going to have children without supernatural. And this covenant was a base of that supernatural, that name change. That's what I wanted you to see.

Ephesians chapter 3. Oh Lord Jesus, verse 14, for this cause I bow my knees unto the father the almighty God. I bow my knees before they almighty God, El Shaddai, Jehovah Rapha the God that heals me before the father, they didn't say I bow my knee before Jesus. He'd done that already. Now, can you see why he said this? Jesus said in that day you will ask me nothing but whatsoever you ask the father in my name, he will give it you. That supper, that was called, the quote, the last supper. That was a covenant meal. All of whom of the father, the whole family, the whole covenanted bunch of us, the whole family in heaven and earth's name, you've got your name changed when you got born again. Hallelujah. Praise God.

That he would grant you according to the riches of his glory to be strengthened with might, Dunamis, the power of God, healing power of God by his Spirit in the inner man that Christ may dwell in your heart by faith, that you being rooted and grounded in love may be able to comprehend or have working knowledge with all the saints. Don't let that word Saint throw you. No, no it just means separated ones. Well of course you've been separated and actually you are a saint, but that's been taken out of context and somebody's supposed to be super Holy and all that. You are Holy. What is the breadth and length and depth and height, and to know. The Greek word there is ginosko, have intimate relation with the love of the anointed one which passes knowledge.

Oh, get it. Get it. Get it. Get it team. Get a hold of it. That you might be filled with all the fullness of El Shaddai himself, Jehovah Rapha himself, Jehovah Nissi. Jehovah Sabaoth. People read that and think it said Sabbath. It didn't, the book of Malachi where the tithing scriptures are. That one word is used 22 times. It's translated Lord of hosts, Jehovah Sabaoth, the God, the Lord commander of the heavenly angelic forces of God. Hallelujah. That you might be filled now according to him that's able to exceeding abundantly above all we ask and think according to the power of God that protects. Glory to God. Hallelujah. And we're out of time.
