Kenneth Copeland - There Is No Record Of Your Sins

TOPICS: Sin, Condemnation

Hello everybody. I'm Kenneth Copeland. This is the Believers Voice of Victory broadcast. Let's have a Word of prayer. We'll get right into today's Bible lesson.

Father, we thank you and we worship you, and we give you praise for your Word. For every Word that's spoken on this broadcast, everything that happens, all of the healings and the miracles and the people that have received Jesus as Lord and Savior and baptized in the Holy Ghost all over the world where this broadcast is being aired, we thank you for it. We ascribe all of the praise, all of the glory to the wonderful matchless name of Jesus. We thank you, sir. Amen.

Glory to God. Well, we've had a good time this week, haven't we? So give the Lord praise today. Lord, thank you. Now, we've been pushing through from Romans 8:1. There's therefore now no condemnation to them, which are in the anointed one, Jesus, and in his anointing who walked not after the five physical senses, but after the Word. Amen. All of this, we've looked at Isaiah 43:25. I'm the one that brought out your transgressions, and remember your sins no more, and First John 1; He's faithful and just to forgive us our sins, when we confess them.

Actually, the forgiveness is already there. It is the receiving of it. When you confess that thing is when you get rid of it. That's important that you do that. It's important that you be very, very honest with God about it. Don't go on and on about it. Just call it what it is. I did it. I don't have any excuse for it, but thank God it's done. Well, what about when you did it again 30 minutes later? Do the same thing again.

I had the Lord say this to me, he said, "Kenneth, don't you think that I am willing to do what I tell you to do"? Yeah. Did not say this in the 17 chapter of Luke and other places in the New Testament, to forgive, forgive, forgive, forgive, forgive. 490 times. Forgive, forgive. They come back to it. Forgive. Forgive. He said, "Don't you think I do the same"? He said, "Sonny boy, it's not a matter of me forgiving you, boy. I've already forgiven you. It's a matter of you receiving it and getting it out of your own being", particularly out of the influence of it in your mind and emotions. Get it out. Settle it forever. Glory to God. Amen. Not moved by the five physical senses. That's the life of faith. Okay.

Now let's go on over to the book of Hebrews, please. We talked about the new birth from Colossians 1. No, no, the Lord's not going to let me go there yet. We need to look at that in Colossians 2 once again. Thank you Lord Jesus. Thank you Jesus. 12th and 13th versus. No, let's go up to the 9th first. "For in him, in Jesus, dwelleth all the fullness of the godhead bodily and you are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power". Now we looked at principalities and powers on the devil's side. There are principalities and powers on the angelic side. It covers both sides of the Spirit realm. He is the head of all principality and power. "In whom also you are circumcised with a circumcision made without hands and putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ".

When you got born again, your spirit died. In the Spirit there is a cut, because it's the Word of God. You died. Yet nevertheless you live. There. Every demon and every angel, God and everybody else can see the circumcision of the Spirit, the circumcision of the heart, where you've died. It was that sword that kills you, but it's that sword brought you alive. Hallelujah. Now buried with him in baptism wherein also you've risen with him through the faith of the operation of God who has raised him from the dead, and you being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh has he made alive together with him having forgiven you all trespasses, blotting out the handwriting of the ordinances that were against us, which was contrary to us and took it out of the way, nailing it his cross". Praise God.

Now get that in you. I mean get that in you. You went to the cross with him. You were buried with him. I dare say you went to hell with him, because he went to hell for us. Thank you Jesus. So that we don't have to go. I mean we did dodge that deal. Praise God, and we got raised with him. Glory to God. We sit with him and at the right hand of Jesus as he's at the right hand of the Father on the throne of grace. Woo. That's shouting ground. Glory be to God for the joy of the Lord. Amen. Thank you Lord Jesus. Having spoiled the principalities and powers he made a show of them openly triumphing over them in it. Praise God. Triumphing over them. Hallelujah. That's our triumph, thanks be to God who always gives us the victory. Always causes us to triumph in Christ Jesus. Isn't that good? Oh, thank you Lord Jesus.

Now it's the blotting out. That's what I wanted you to get. Blotting it out. Anybody have an amplified translation with you today? Yeah, may I see that please, sweetie? Thank you Lord. Show me where I am. Oh yeah. "And you who, were dead in trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, your sensuality, your sinful, carnal nature, God brought to life together with Christ. Having freely forgiven us of all of our transgressions, having canceled". That's what I wanted you to get. "Having canceled and blotted out and wiped away the handwriting on the note". Wiped away the handwriting. It's blank. There's no record of it anymore. Woo. Thank you Jesus. The bond, with it's legal decrees and demands, which was enforced and stood against us and was hostile to us, this note with its regulations, it's decrees and demands, he set aside and cleared completely out of our way, nailing it to his cross. Oh, glory be to Jesus. Hallelujah.

How can you just sit there? Same Way I'm just sitting here. I've got to sit here for another few minutes. Oh, glory to God. Blotted it out. Blotted it out. See, that's what God was looking forward to in Isaiah 43:25 when we read that. He said, "Even I am he who bloteth out your transgressions, and I remember them no more". This is what he was headed for. This is where he was going all the time. Hey, glory to God. What did it we receive when we receive Jesus as the Lord and Savior? The blotting out. Can you imagine? Really, you owe this big note at the bank and all of a sudden the paper ain't got any writing on it? Well, it's bigger than that. All of its decrees, all of the concerns, the whole mess just wiped out. I liked to say, "And burn the note". Because you nailed it to his cross. Thank you Lord Jesus.

All right, now we can go over to the book of Hebrews 10. I want to back up to the 23rd verse of the 9th chapter, or the 22nd. Almost all things are, by the law, purged with blood, and without shedding of blood is no remission. You need to underline this 23rd verse. "It was therefore necessary that the patterns of the things in the heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices in these". The heavenly utensils of worship, had to be cleansed with the blood of Jesus. Everything in heaven was polluted up to but not including the throne of God. Jesus said, "No man has gone up to heaven".

Now you have to notice that no man had died and gone up to heaven. There's been two men in heaven. They're still in their flesh, bodies, Enoch and Elijah. They're still there. Their day's coming. Glory to God. Right along with ours. Amen. You need to see how powerful the blood, and how awful, how terrible Adam's sin was. He was not deceived. He knew what he was doing. Thank God, thank God the first thing God did was kill an animal and make him some clothes, and he served God after that. Well, I wanted you to see the graveness of it and the power that it took to clean it. You and I are beneficiary of that power. The blood and the name. Oh, glory to God.

Anyway, now then let's go down to the 10th chapter. "For the law, having a shadow of good things to come and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year, continually make the comers there unto, perfect" or they they couldn't mature. You just couldn't do it. It just covered the sin. It didn't do anything about getting rid of it. Two; That that had to be taken care of in heaven. It was not so in the Old Testament. The blood of an animal wouldn't do it. It took the blood of Jesus. "For then would they not have ceased to be offered, because that the worshipers once purged should have had no more conscience or no more sin consciousness".

Now, let's go to the 12th chapter of John's Gospel. Okay, "Jesus, six days before the Passover came to Bethany where Lazarus was, which had been dead, which he raised from the dead". Oh, excuse me, I'm in the wrong place. Let's go back over it. I want to get before he was raised from the dead. I don't want to take time to read all of that. Let go over to the third second verse. "Then when Mary was come before Jesus was and saw him, she fell down at his feet saying unto him, 'Lord, if thou has been here, my brother had not died.' When Jesus therefore saw her weeping and the Jews also weeping, which came with her, he groaned in the Spirit".

Romans 8:26 and 27. Hold your place right there and turn over with me. Right there in that same 8th chapter of Romans, let's go down to the 26th verse. "Likewise, the Spirit also helpeth or takes hold together with us against our infirmities, for we know not what we should pray for as we are for the Spirit himself. Make an intercession for us with groanings, which cannot be uttered". Groanings. Now, it can also be translated articulate speech. That's referring to in the Spirit. Particularly praying in the Spirit.

Now, but I wanted you to see what the Spirit of God was doing in Jesus. You remember he said that the words I speak to you are not my own. It's the Father that dwells within me. He does work. It was a Spirit of God, groaning, groaning, "And was troubled and said, 'Where have you laid him?' They said unto him, 'Lord, come and see.' Jesus wept". Now that was compassion, not grief. "The Jews said, 'Behold how he loved him,' and some of them said, 'Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind and caused that even this man should not have died.' Jesus, therefore again, groaning in himself, cometh to the grave. It was a cave and a stone lay upon it. Jesus said, now here's a righteousness consciousness. Take away the stone. Martha sin consciousness, said, "Lord, by this time but he stinks. He's been dead four days".

One represents Adam before he fail. The other represents Adam after he fail. One is sin consciousness. The other a righteousness consciousness. The carnal mind full of fear, worry. Oh, that's too much, Lord. He's dead. It's too late. It's too late. Jesus said to her, "I not unto thee that if you would believe you would see the glory of God". Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. Jesus lifted up his eyes and said, "I thank the Father thou hast heard me". When? When he groaned. When he groaned. He heard him. It's time to shout again in here. Oh yeah. When he groaned in the Spirit. He heard him, and I know.

"Yeah, well yeah Brother Copeland, but that is Jesus". I know it was Jesus. It's written in red. I know that, but listen to me; Jesus had no privileges that a man doesn't have. He totally emptied himself and came as a man. He never did one miracle till after he was baptized in the Holy Spirit. Not one. He was just as much the son of God when he's 29 as he was when he was 30. Did not one miracle, not one. Never preached a sermon. He had no anointing to preach. He had no anointing to do healings. He's then said, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me. He has anointed me to preach. He's anointed me".

Now that must be grasped. Well, if you had the gift of healing you'd just heal everybody like Jesus did. He didn't heal everybody. He healed all manner of sickness and disease. He didn't heal everybody. At his own hometown, in Mark the 6th chapter he said, "He that could there do no mighty work". Didn't say he wouldn't, said he couldn't, because of their unbelief. What did he do? He just went around teaching in the villages. That's the way you fix unbelief. Now I'm totally, absolutely irreversibly convinced that since he went about their villages teaching, preaching that some of them got it. Glory to God. Now you have to get this, in these last few moments here. A putting away of sin consciousness. Say it with me, "In the name of Jesus I've been made the righteousness of God. I'm a new creature". Shout his name and give him praise.
