Kenneth Copeland - Cast All Your Cares Once And For All

KENNETH: Hello, everybody. We're Kenneth and Gloria. Okay, Gloria?

GLORIA: Go ahead, go ahead Brother Copeland.

KENNETH: All right. That woman Thou hast given me, and I'm so glad, thank God for her. Amen, hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus. What was I going to say? I was going to say hello, everybody. We're Kenneth and Gloria Copeland, and welcome to whatever this is. It's the Believer Voice of Victory broadcast. That's what it is. You know it and I know it, and Gloria knows it. Praise God.

Father, we thank You today. We just praise You and thank You for Your presence and Your goodness and Your kindness to us. You're so wonderful. We praise and honor Your very name, Jesus. We open our hearts and minds to receive revelation of Your Word today. Thank God for the Word. The Word, in the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God, the same in the beginning with God, and we thank You in Jesus' name. Amen.

KENNETH: Hallelujah. Gloria, that is a beautiful, that is just a beautiful blouse you got on.

GLORIA: Thank you very much.

KENNETH: I especially like that today.

GLORIA: Thank you.

KENNETH: I especially like you today, too.

GLORIA: I like you, too.

KENNETH: Amen. Thank you, Jesus. We're talking about ... Well, I think, you know, I get so eager to get into the Word and some of you wonder, where in the world are they? Last week they're in Arkansas, where is this?

GLORIA: We move around.

KENNETH: Our procedure is to do five broadcasts in one day, and then the next day do five more. Well, we did at our prayer cabin there in Arkansas, and whoa, man. The next day it rained, and rained, and rained, completely rained us out. So we brought it to our own...

GLORIA: So we had to take the day off.

KENNETH: Oh, and so we came back to our home here on the ministry property in Forth Worth, and it rained, and it rained, and it rained, and we got this one day break between rain again. Hallelujah. You can see the lake, I mean, there's a wall underneath there, a wall around the edge of the property there and it's covered in water, so praise God. But we're here we are, and we're just thrilled that you're with us today.

GLORIA: Amen.

KENNETH: And we're talking about our absolutely just getting completely away from worry, anxiety.

GLORIA: Oh, yeah.

KENNETH: Fear, care. Care, it's in the New Testament. Care which is the same word translated care, it means anxiety, it means worry, it means fear. And it's heavy-laden, it's depression.

GLORIA: That's right.

KENNETH: All of those things are fear-based. They are fear-dependent.

GLORIA: And they have no good result.

KENNETH: No. There's nothing good about them. And this like to destroy Job.

GLORIA: That which he feared came upon him.

KENNETH: And he kept, it's very interesting. He said, "I was troubled and I cared, and yet trouble came".

GLORIA: Surprise, surprise.

KENNETH: Yeah. But he was, he thought he was being responsible by worrying about his children, especially his children. And he was really burdened about all of that. When he finally, it said he kept making the same sacrifice continually, continually, over, and over, and over, and over, and over. Oh, that's one of the worst things you could possibly do. You make that sacrifice in faith.

GLORIA: Believe you receive.

KENNETH: Believe you receive it and say, "That did it. That did it". Then from then on, you just praise God and worship Him about it. I made the sacrifice before you, and I thank you, thank God that that thing is over.

GLORIA: And you keep saying the right thing.

KENNETH: Yeah, you put it in your heart first. This Word, yes, thank you, Lord. Yeah, I'll do that. Let's go to second, go ahead and find your place in Mark chapter four, but we're going to go to 2 Corinthians. I want you to see where this combat is, where this fight is. 2 Corinthians chapter 10, and look at verse three. "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh". Did you get that? Tim, where am I? Where's my camera? Here, good. "Though we walk in the flesh we do not war after the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal". They are not human. Oh, this is...

GLORIA: Natural.

KENNETH: "Well, Brother Copeland, I'm only human". Not if you're born again.

GLORIA: That's right.

KENNETH: No, sir. You're a new creature in Christ Jesus. "But mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds". The strongholds are in the mind. Now, it's not bad to have a mental stronghold, but you need a mental stronghold in the Word, a renewed mind, for the wrong stuff doesn't come out your mouth, and you don't spend time worrying and caring, just tearing yourself up and make yourself sick over something that's already been taken care of. "Casting down imaginations". My cross reference says, "Reasonings, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God", or against the Word of God, or what you know the Word says. "Bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ", or, "Every thought to the obedience of the Anointed One". That anointing, there's an anointing here to do this. Amen. Now, then. That's what has to happen, and you can do this, I'm telling you, you can do this. You can't do it on your own. You can't do it with your own thoughts. You can't even fight thoughts with thoughts, you have to fight thoughts with Words. Jesus said, "Why take ye thought, saying". Listen to that, Gloria.

GLORIA: Yeah.

KENNETH: "Why take ye thought, saying". You don't take a thought until you say it. And if you're trying to think against-

GLORIA: just like it's not born until you speak it.

KENNETH: Well, yeah. You know what, that's good. And if you don't say it and that thought comes and you don't say it, it's just stillborn.

GLORIA: If you don't say it, the devil can't operate on it.

KENNETH: That's right. Man, that's good.

GLORIA: Shut him out.

KENNETH: He can't do anything about your intentions. And doesn't even know what your thoughts are unless you speak them.

GLORIA: He can't read my mind.

KENNETH: No, he cannot.

GLORIA: But if I say it, he'll know it.

KENNETH: Yeah. That's right.

GLORIA: I'm not telling him anything. He's come to kill, steal, and destroy. Why would I want to cooperate with him?

KENNETH: That's right.

GLORIA: There.

KENNETH: So how do you keep from doing it? You have to go back to where Jesus said, the other half of that is Jesus said, "The thief cometh but for to steal, kill and destroy". Steal what? Steal the Word. If he can't steal the Word he can't kill and destroy.

GLORIA: That's right.

KENNETH: But he's got to get in your thought life. He's got to get into your thought life in order to get anything out your mouth.

GLORIA: But you can keep him out if you will.

KENNETH: Yeah, you can. Will is the key Word. You will. I will do this.

GLORIA: I will.

KENNETH: "Yeah, but Brother Copeland, you don't know how bad I hurt". Well, no, I don't, but I know this, if you will put the Word of God in your mouth and begin to sing and praise God and just in spite of hell and high water, it's amazing. I was in so much pain. A disc had just exploded in my back a few days before, and I was sitting right over there on that porch. And I, oh, man, I'm telling you, it was just a crippling pain and oh, I got to thinking about something Keith Moore had said. And I said, "Oh, Lord". And I had this left leg, and I mean, I had it up there in that and that nerve going by my leg was hurting me. So I went and got two heating pads, turned them up just as high as they'd go. Took a sash out of a couple of my robes, and tied those heating pads on there trying to get it to hurt worse to take my mind off of it. I'm sitting over there, and I thought of something Keith said.

GLORIA: What'd he say?

KENNETH: "Lord, I got two legs".

GLORIA: Yeah.

KENNETH: "Ain't but one of them hurting".

GLORIA: Praise God.

KENNETH: Glory to God. Look at these hands. They're not hurting. I don't have any pain in my hands. I don't have any pain anywhere but that one. Look at this! Man, I'm in good shape.

GLORIA: Yeah, I remember that.

KENNETH: I got to praising God for a good leg. I got to praising Him I don't hurt anywhere else. I got to shouting just right over there. I got to shouting and praising God, and I said, "Glory to God, look at this green grass. Wooo, I love this green grass. Isn't it wonderful? Isn't it wonderful"?

GLORIA: It's the best thing to do.

KENNETH: "Oh, I'll praise You". And I stopped a little bit, and boy, here he'd come again. "Oh, glory to God. I just praise You and thank You". And I want you to know, glory to God I'm sitting right here today with no pain in my body.

GLORIA: Yes, amen.

KENNETH: In the name of Jesus I'm completely healed from the top of my head to the soles of my feet. But you cannot get there, you cannot get there full of worry and doubt and unbelief.

GLORIA: You can't get there talking the problem.

KENNETH: No, you cannot.

GLORIA: You got to speak the answer.

KENNETH: Yes, you do.

GLORIA: And it's in the Word.

KENNETH: Out of the abundance of your heart your mouth speaks, and you have to get it in there. And let me tell you what, the time to do it's when you feel good. The time to believe for healing is when you feel good, great. And just get, just be standing ready, and every time the devil just, I mean, just lay into him. Not with your fist, with that sword.

GLORIA: Yeah, the sword of the Spirit.

KENNETH: Amen. I mean, just ah. Stick that sword in him. I cast these imaginations down and I refuse to think them. My mind is my mind, and nobody tells my mind what to think but Jesus and me. Glory to God. Amen. And Gloria...

GLORIA: Well, thank you for being such good company.

KENNETH: Well, I'm telling you, she helps me, and you ought to help your wife and your wife, you ought to help your husband with these things. And Gloria said, "Uh, no. Let's talk". Be careful with that. "Oh, yeah. Ah, yeah. Thank you". Amen. Not, "Don't tell me what to think". Listen, this is the woman of the Word of God. She's smarter than I am, and in the name of Jesus He gave her to me. She is to me what temper is to steel. That's what He said to me in 1967.

GLORIA: Praise God.

KENNETH: Glory to God. Amen. This Word, this Word. Now, in...

GLORIA: Hallelujah.

KENNETH: We understand this. Let me get my reader. Anxiety, the Word translated care. Anxiety, distress, uneasiness of mind caused by fear of danger or misfortune, worry as to torment oneself with cares and anxieties. Now I want to show you this from Mark chapter four. I want you to listen carefully to the Word "thorn". Mark 4 and the 19th verse, or the 18th verse. Well, let's start up here at the 14th verse. "The sower sows the Word". Now this is about the Word of God. It's not primarily about the ground in which it's sown. It's primarily about the Word. "The sower sows the Word. These are they by the wayside where the Word is sown. Satan cometh immediately and taketh away the Word that was sown in their hearts". Now come on down here to the 18th verse. Now look at this. "These are they which are sown among thorns, such as hear the Word and the cares", exactly the same Word, care.

GLORIA: Worry.

KENNETH: Anxiety, uneasiness, distress...

GLORIA: Unbelief.

KENNETH: ...of mind caused by fear. Fear of danger or misfortune. That's just simply the dictionary definition of the Word "anxiety". Worry, what's worry? Torment oneself with cares and anxieties, so that's all one package. The Bible calls it a thorn. Okay. And the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches and the lust or pressures of other things entering in choke the Word. Well, don't let it in!

GLORIA: Yeah.

KENNETH: Aha! The answer cometh. Don't let it in there. The cares, the anxieties, the thorns entering in choke the Word and the Word becomes unfruitful.

GLORIA: Unbelief.

KENNETH: That's what you said yesterday, over, and over, and over again, that faith and fear are not going to work in the same place.

GLORIA: They can't.

KENNETH: It can't. Now, then. 2 Corinthians chapter 11. I want you to get this. The apostle Paul says right here that he was doing the very thing that we just read from 1 Peter 5. Well, we haven't read it today, but we read it yesterday and the day before. Let me read it to you. I'll read it to you out of the Amplified. "Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God. Set aside self-righteous pride so that He may exalt you to a place of honor in His service at the appropriate time, casting all your cares, all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all on Him, for He cares about you with deepest affection...

GLORIA: Yes, amen.

KENNETH: And watches over you very carefully.

GLORIA: So another Word for care would be worry.

KENNETH: Oh, yeah.

GLORIA: So we can't have worry and be scriptural. Ever.

KENNETH: No, and not ever.

GLORIA: We should repent if we start to worry.

KENNETH: Oh, every time.

GLORIA: Fix it.

KENNETH: At the moment you start.

GLORIA: Fix it.

KENNETH: At the very moment that you start.

GLORIA: Amen.

KENNETH: All right. Now look at this. Look at this. We read this. I won't go down through all the list of it there all the times he received five times forty stripes save one, and he was shipwrecked and so forth and so over. In weariness, painfulness, watchings often, hunger, thirst, fastings often, cold, nakedness, beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, that which cometh upon me daily, daily, daily? The care. Same Word, the anxieties, the worries of all the churches just kept my Bible it's just on the run straight across into the 12th chapter. "Lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelation, there was given me a thorn". Whoa, what is that? It's a messenger of Satan, just what he said it was. Jesus said it's the devil stealing the Word.

GLORIA: Trying to get you to worry and unbelief.

KENNETH: We've heard all kinds of ridiculous messages like God gave Paul a thorn in the flesh to keep him from getting into pride. No, that doesn't, no, no, no, no. He was in pride.

GLORIA: Yeah.

KENNETH: That's what the apostle Peter said. He was in pride, he said, "A thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice that it might depart from me, and He said unto me, 'My grace is sufficient for thee, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly, therefore, will I rather glory in my infirmity that the power of Christ may rest upon me". Glory to God. What did God tell him? No, you have to keep the thorn? No, he said, "Don't be coming to Me to get this off of you. I've given you revelation of the authority of the name. I've given you revelation about the principalities and powers and rulers of the darkness of this world, and wicked spirit in heavenly places. That was the apostle Paul that wrote that in the book of Ephesians.

GLORIA: My favor, My grace. My favor's-

KENNETH: Yeah. He said, "You do it".

GLORIA: Do it.

KENNETH: You take care of it.

GLORIA: Yeah.

KENNETH: You get him off. There ain't nowhere in the Bible where it said, "Pray and get the devil off of you". No, it doesn't say that. It doesn't say. He asked God to get that demon out of his life, and the Lord said, "My grace is sufficient. You do it".

GLORIA: About that where it says, "Thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan sent to buffet me", I can just see somebody with boxing gloves on, just buffeting you. Just trying to get you to take it. "Take it, you're going to die. You're not going to be healed of this. You're going to die". That a buffet. That's the devil trying to talk us into believing what he says rather than what God said.

KENNETH: That's right.

GLORIA: And we're not going to do that.

KENNETH: He's pounding on his mind.

GLORIA: Yeah. Yeah.

KENNETH: Pounding his mind, pounding his thinking. Just bombarding him. I know what that's like. You do, too. I use this as an outstanding illustration of it. A number of years ago we got just out of sequence and timing financial and stuff, and a little bit it just kept increasing, kept increasing, kept increasing till this ministry was $6.000.000 behind on television bill. Now we were paying, but we were fighting against that. It started out... Well, I won't go into the whole story. But man, I'm telling you I got that on my mind.

GLORIA: You can't quit paddling, you got to keep moving. Uh-huh.

KENNETH: And when your TV bill's a couple of million a month, man, I'm telling you it'll keep you paddling, like you said.

GLORIA: That's right.

KENNETH: And I had that on my mind. We came up to just right at the end of the year where I got to do a board report to our board of directors the next day, I waited till midnight to read that board report. I didn't want to get in there and tell them what a terrible year this ministry's had. Well, I'm reading each department we've had the best year we've ever had, all except the TV department, and it is $6.000.000 behind. And I looked at that, here I had worried about this thing and we had had the best year we had ever had, and I didn't know it. And the Lord said, "Kenneth, the department that you tried to carry is failing. Now you cast that over on Me". He said, "You know better than to do that". Man, I hollered to Gloria. She'd already gone to bed. We cast the whole of that care over on Him, and that $6.000.000 came jumping in there. That was in April, May, and March. I'm telling you, we paid the whole bill at one time that summer, because we got rid of the care.

GLORIA: Well, somebody might say, "Well, how'd you get $6.000.000...

KENNETH: I don't want to get into that.

GLORIA: Having a bill that takes about, what was it? $60.000 a month, or $100.000 a month?

KENNETH: Oh, probably more than that. $2.000.000 a month, something like that.
