Welcome to this Thanksgiving Week Special on the Believer's Voice of Victory. Today, Kenneth and Gloria Copeland reveal what faith will do when it's applied in line with the Word of God. Now, let's join Kenneth and Gloria.

KENNETH: Hello, everybody, we're Kenneth and Gloria Copeland. Welcome to the Believer's Voice of Victory broadcast. Let's have a word of prayer, we'll get right into today's Bible lesson. Father, we just praise You so. We thank You today. We're so blessed. Ho-ho-ho, Your presence is in this studio. And we honor You, Sir. We honor You with all of our hearts, all of our minds, all of our strength. And we bless You, and we thank You.

GLORIA: Thank You, Lord.

KENNETH: Revelation from heaven is the desire of our hearts.

GLORIA: Oh, yes.

KENNETH: And we thank You for it. We're so blessed today in Jesus' name.

GLORIA: Jesus' name.

KENNETH: Amen.

GLORIA: Amen.

KENNETH: Let's open our Bibles today. Glory to God. Get your Bible. Oh, hey, let me remind you of something now. Don't forget the online downloads, kcm.org, because, see, by the time this broadcast, you know, this is not live. You know that. But they have time then to go back through and outline everything we said and put it all down there. If we have a manifestation of the Holy Spirit in some way, all of that will be in there.

GLORIA: Praise God.

KENNETH: And you can take those outlines. You can teach off of them. Hey, they're yours. Praise God. This is coming to you. Amen. And we're glad for it. Romans 12, this is things you really need to know about faith. And you're going to hear things that you've probably heard in the last few days on BVOVN and so forth. But, hey, this is not entertainment. We're training.

GLORIA: Study.

KENNETH: This is study and training. Yeah. Oh, yeah, sure. I'll do that, Lord. Hold your place there, and let's go to the book of Hebrews in Chapter 5. In fact, this is the commission of this ministry. This is what the Lord said to me 50 years ago now. In the 5th chapter of the book of Hebrews, and I want you to look beginning with Verse 12, "For when for the time you ought to be teachers, you have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not strong meat". Now, Gloria, remember the Word said that, "desire the sincere milk of the Word that you may grow thereby".

GLORIA: Yeah.

KENNETH: When people are born again, we're babies. But now, spiritual growth is like unto natural growth.

GLORIA: Mm-hmm.

KENNETH: The difference is the growth of the natural physical body is programmed into the body that it's a function on its own over time. But that doesn't work that way in the spirit because there is no time in the realm of the spirit. So it will just stay a baby for 50 years. We've got a lot of 40, 50-year-old babies. But when you desire the sincere milk of the Word more than there used to be, but not very many churches preach the sincere milk of the Word. They preach religion and religious traditions and ideas and so forth and so on. Now, notice this, you, "have need of milk, and not strong meat". You can't feed strong meat to a baby. You'll choke it.

GLORIA: That's right.

KENNETH: "Every one that uses milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a baby. Strong meat belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses", that's talking about your physical body. Now, "reason of use," I have a cross-reference, or a "habit" or a "perfection," what you do over and over and over again. Now, in other translations, it's translated "training". Isn't that what you do? Isn't that what an athlete does?

GLORIA: Yeah, sure.

KENNETH: He does something over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again to train, to get it to where he doesn't even have to think about it, it just does it.

GLORIA: Yeah.

KENNETH: Now, your physical body can be trained, exercised, and look here now, "to discern both good and evil". There are things that my flesh demanded years ago that it is very repulsive to it now. Now, this is so important. And I just heard the Lord say this just right then. This is very, very important for people that are addicted to certain things. But now, here's what I heard Him say: "People that have the temptation, the flesh is urging and the mind is following it, that 'I'm not a boy, I'm a girl.'" Well, no, see, "Well, Brother Copeland, that's just the way the Lord made me". No, no, no, He didn't. That's a lie, and I can prove it to you. People have said, you know, "I'm homosexual, but that's the way the Lord made me". No. God has never created or made anybody to be something He has already forbidden. He'd be unjust to do that.

GLORIA: That's right.

KENNETH: And He didn't forbid that because He don't like you. He forbade that because it'll kill you. The wages of sin...

GLORIA: Is death.

KENNETH: ...is death. But now, not just that sin, I mean, it's a sin. It's not any different. It's a sin. Sin is sin. Jesus bore the whole thing on the cross and He's wiped it out. Now, if you get into the Word and become skillful in the Word of righteousness, your physical body will begin to discern and repulse that urge and that temptation, that pull. It'll do the same thing with drugs, alcohol.

GLORIA: Yeah.

KENNETH: It'll do the same thing for a kleptomaniac, somebody that just can't keep from stealing. It'll do the same thing all kinds of disorders.

GLORIA: Right.

KENNETH: This is the flesh. This is just what the flesh does. Amen. And when you cooperate with the devil, well, that's just the way it's going to work. But if you get in the Word...

GLORIA: Yeah.

KENNETH: ...it'll change it. Now, "strong meat", this is our job right here, "Strong meat belongs to them that are full age, even though who by reason of use," practice, exercise, "have their senses exercised," or trained, "to discern both good and evil". Now, that's our job, is to bring people from milk to meat to become skillful in the Word of righteousness, and to take people from religion to reality. Christianity is not a religion. It's had religion made out of it, but it's not a religion. It is God and His family. Now, I want to say this: There's only two races of people in the earth. Color, background has nothing to do with it. God's not racist. There's only two races of people in the earth: Those that have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and are born again, and those that haven't. There are the children of God and the children of the devil. Anybody, I don't care who you are or what you've done, as long as you're still breathing on this earth, you can accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and change families because a born-again person is a new creation.

GLORIA: Oh, yeah.

KENNETH: You're not just a forgiven sinner. You're a new creation in Christ Jesus. Now, that's the reason why the Lord had us put BVOVN on the air, was so that anybody, I don't care what kind of lifestyle, what kind of sin's got you trapped, I don't care if you were in prison, I don't care where you are, what you're doing, my brother and sister, if you'll get in there and stay in the Word, it will change and renew the seed of the Word of God. And you can become the husband you never thought you could be. You can become the wife you never thought you could be. You can become what God has planned before the foundation of the world for you to be and become and excel. Glory to God. And your past life has zero to do with it.

GLORIA: That's right.

KENNETH: Amen.

GLORIA: You know, always, when you get in a subject of that, I think about the different serial killers that you've known...

KENNETH: Yeah.

GLORIA: ...in those prisons that have been, after they got born again...

KENNETH: Yeah.

GLORIA: ...filled with the Holy Ghost. They weren't serial killers anymore.

KENNETH: That's right. I tell you what, I remember when I...

GLORIA: Famous ones.

KENNETH: ...I remember when I baptized Stephen Morin in the Bexar County jail in San Antonio, Texas. And this man had killed 21, I believe it was 21...

GLORIA: In the 20s, mm-hmm.

KENNETH: ...women. And he and I became good friends. I was the last person to visit with him before he was executed. And I told him, I said, "Stephen, you can become", He's a brilliant man. I said, "Stephen, you can become an expert in prayer, man". And he said, "Yeah". Because he's on death row, you know. And I said, "Just get in the Word". He got in the Word of God. He got on fire. He won everybody on death row to Jesus. And just like Karla Faye did over on women's death row, the ax killer. And I tell you what, they put some woman on death row, that woman was going to get born again. I mean, she got them all saved. He got them all saved before they were executed.

GLORIA: Yeah. Yes.

KENNETH: Isn't that wonderful?

GLORIA: Yes, it is.

KENNETH: But see, Jesus already paid the price for all of that. He went to hell for that. He went to hell for you, he went to hell for me.

GLORIA: That's right.

KENNETH: He suffered in the lower parts of the earth. Now, I said all that to get this through to you what the Word of God will do. There's nothing on the face of this earth for, hey, mm, "Where sin abounds... grace much more abounds". Glory to God. Thank God, Brother.

GLORIA: Oh, my.

KENNETH: Oh, yeah. Christ died for the ungodly and I qualified. So did you. Amen.

GLORIA: Thank You, Lord.

KENNETH: Now, ha-ha-ha, thank You, Jesus, for all that. That's good. Let's go back over there now to Romans 12 and let's look at this. Well, let's just start with the first verse. Romans 12:1, "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice that you present your body a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God". Now, hey, "Ah, Brother Copeland, I don't know that I'm all that holy". Yeah, you are in the eyes of God. But, see, when you believe that by faith, it changes and roots out the unholiness.

GLORIA: When you became born again, everything changed.

KENNETH: You became the righteousness of God.

GLORIA: Yeah.

KENNETH: And look, I don't care what shape you're in, you're acceptable in His eyes. Amen. It just takes faith. Now, watch this, "Be not conformed to the world: but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, acceptable, and perfect, will of God".

GLORIA: Praise God.

KENNETH: "For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you". Now, this letter was written to all the saints or all the born-again people. Don't let the word "saints" throw you. I realize if your background, particularly if your background is Catholic and so forth, that just simply means "separated". And when you were born again...

GLORIA: Yeah.

KENNETH: ...you were separated unto God.

GLORIA: Yes.

KENNETH: They're just talking about born-again people, particularly in the King James translation. Now, "For I say", Let me go back where I was, that this, he said, "every man among you". This letter was written to the saints, to the born-again people in Rome, born-again, baptized-in-the-Holy-Spirit people, tongue-talkers. Now, if it's born-again people in Rome, it's for born-again people in Fort Worth. It's for born-again people that are in Rome today. It's for born-again people in wherever you are. You know, it's for you. Now, notice this, "not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God has dealt to every man among you the measure of faith". All right. Hold your place there because we want to come back to that word, "measure". And let's look at II Thessalonians 3:2. II Thessalonians 3:2, "That we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith". So "wicked and unreasonable men" are men, and of course, all of that, yeah, yeah, I will do that, Lord. When the Bible uses the word "men," of course, it includes women too. You see, "All men have not faith". That's talking about un-born-again people. "Well, why does it just use men"? Because the Bible is written to mankind. There are male tigers and there's female tigers, but they're both tigers. There's male men and there's female men, mankind. So don't let that throw you. Now, then, "the measure God hath dealt to every man among us the measure of faith". Now, hold your place there and let's go back to Mark 11:22, "Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God". The cross-reference says, "Have the faith of God". Now, I purposefully do this from time to time. When I'm preaching in Spanish, and Stan Black is interpreting for me, I'll say, "Stan, how does the Spanish Bible interpret that"? We were in Moscow a few months ago. And Maxim Meischnikoff was our interpreter. And I said, "Maxim, how does that verse there interpret that"? He said, "It interprets it, 'Have the faith of God,' 'have God's faith.'" So when you were born again by the incorruptible seed of the Word of God, the faith was in that seed and it's God's seed. It's God's faith. It was in God's seed of the Word. Amen. So the faith of God came inside your spirit man when the spirit man was reborn. Amen. Now, let's go back over here again to Romans 12. Look at this, "He has dealt to every man among us the measure of the faith of God". It's exactly the same measure. Listen to me, it is exactly the same measure as Jesus because we are a spiritual DNA replica of Him. He's the author and finisher, developer of our faith. What's the difference, then, between His faith and ours? Development, of course. But the potential is there. And as we grow, we get closer to that. But the whole Body of Christ together can produce that same level of faith and anointing. It can be produced in our own personal lives by manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit, because in certain cases where the gift of faith in I Corinthians 12, where it lists the nine gifts of the spirit, when it says, "and to another faith". That's not saving faith. That is what the Amplified translates, "special faith," that's a really accurate, because it is a manifestation of the faith of God added to your faith. So what happens when that takes place? Your faith is picked up by the faith of God up to His level. And for a moment there, you're believing just like Jesus when He was on the earth...

GLORIA: Praise God.

KENNETH: ...on the same level.

KENNETH: I've never said that before in 50 years of ministry. I just heard the Lord say that. My, my, my, my.

GLORIA: Praise God.

KENNETH: No wonder the Lord's telling us, "Seek these gifts. Ask Me for them. Use your faith. There needs to be more of it right now. Use your faith. Get in there. Believe Me for it. Ask Me for it. I'll do it. Ask Me for it. Ask Me for it. You don't have to be in the..."

GLORIA: Lord, we ask You for it.

KENNETH: "...fivefold ministry for it to manifest in your life either".

GLORIA: Thank You.

KENNETH: These gifts belong to the Body of Christ. Amen.

GLORIA: Praise God.

KENNETH: And it says, "Seek the best gift". Well, what's the best gift? The one you need at the time. Amen. Hallelujah.

GLORIA: Hallelujah.

KENNETH: Oh, isn't this exciting, Gloria?

GLORIA: Awesome, it's awesome.

KENNETH: We're in a place right now...

GLORIA: Praise God.

KENNETH: ...for these things to be manifest. Now, in these closing moments here, let me say this to you: All of us began with exactly the same measure, "not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think". Each one of us started exactly the same. I don't have any more faith than you do. You don't have any more faith than I do, but it's measurable, and that's where we start. It can grow. It can shrink up.

GLORIA: Develop.

KENNETH: It can develop.

GLORIA: Yeah.

KENNETH: It can go stagnant. And, ha-ha-ha-ha. We're out of time. And we'll start talking about it right here tomorrow.

GLORIA: That's good.

KENNETH: Glory to God. Gloria and I'll be back in just a moment.
