Kenneth Copeland - Healing Belongs to You
I want to go to the book of Exodus 23. Exodus 23 and we'll come down to the 20th verse right there. "Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him". Now, that's interesting, isn't it? "For my name is in him. But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries. For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites," all the "ites"...
So you don't start with the 25th verse. It doesn't make sense if you do, "You shall serve the Lord your God and he, your angel, will bless your bread and water". Now it does. So what do you pray when you go into a restaurant? Father, we pray over this food and ministering spirit, go back there in that kitchen and make sure my bread and water is good. Make sure they prepare this properly. So that added another dimension, did it not? "Your angel will bless your bread and water. I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. There shall nothing cast their young, or have miscarriage or barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfill". Hallelujah.
I'll take sickness from the midst of you. I got so excited about that. It went off in me, it exploded inside me. And so our home is out on the lake there. And you come out our driveway and I'll tell you where I was, Kellie. We come out of there and right there where the little pond is on the left. It was right there just before you got to that. I stopped. I got out of my car, my motor car. Okay. And I shouted, "God has taken sickness from the midst of me. I will never be sick another day of my life hereafter forever. In the name of Jesus. Glory to God". And I haven't been.
Now there's some things I had to deal with. Just like the devil trying to put that flu on me during Ministers' Conference. Well, we didn't know the significance of it and 2019, but there it was. And so I was sitting on the front row there. You can't put that on me. Sickness has been taken from the midst of me. I refuse to be sick. Now, I take a lot of vitamin C and I'll take my supplements. Amen. I'm not like one woman there during Brother Hagin's ministry, and then she was way overweight. She came in and she said, "Would you pray for me? I know what's wrong. But someone catch the spirit of gluttony out of me and said, I could just go on and eat anything I wanted to eat".
No, it doesn't work that way. It might not be the spirit of gluttony. It may be you just like to pig out. I dealt with it in my life. But you know what? I looked up the glutton and it said the drunkard The glutton and the drunkard... So it's an addiction. Amen. And I dealt with it and had to deal with it in proper diet, proper exercise. But that's spirit, soul and body. Anyway, it has to be your personal decision and I heard this from the Lord. "You make a quality decision". I said, "What is that"? He said, "That's a decision from which there is no return and about which there is no more argument". That's a quality decision. I made a quality decision to stay well, it's one thing to get sick and get healed. It's another thing to live in divine health. I'm just not sick. Not going to be sick, healing belongs to us.
And I remember this. Oral Roberts laid his hands because God told him to lay hands on people. He laid his hands on over 2 million people. And he would sit on this platform and lay hands on them here while they came up on a ramp, because I watched it over and over again. And he had to have surgery on his rotator cuff. And there was a woman I mean, she was not belligerent at all. She was just asking him a question. She said he had to have surgery after all that healing power flowing through his arms. Well, yeah, but here's the way the Lord answered it. Healing is not a reward. It is a property. It belongs to you. But it won't work unless you put it to work.
Well, now, his were damaged to the point where he had to have surgery. But now what most people don't know that he decided that's all the surgery he's going to have. Well, he had an attack of appendicitis. And he was in the hospital and there was a doctor and Richard, like this looking down at him, that the doctor was looking through an X-ray machine right over the top of him as his appendix. And what they didn't know, he was just laying on that gurney. And he said, "Lord, I'm not having any more surgery. I am believing and receiving and I am cashing some receipts". And he started naming off some things. I am cashing some receipts here. And that doctor said, "Richard, are you seeing this"? He said, "Yeah, that's my daddy. That appendix issue... No more surgery".
Well, think about it. The appendix didn't have anything to do with laying hands on people. That's just an attack of the devil. And it just obeyed his faith. And while they were watching, it just went back to normal. You can do the same thing. Any believer can do this because healing belongs to you. Would you like me to prove it? Second Peter Chapter two. It all happened on the same cross. Praise God. Thank You, Jesus. I think I told you wrong... Yes, First Peter chapter two. "Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings..."
What is hypocrisies? What is a hypocrite? What does that Greek word hypocrite mean? Have you seen the two masks, the tragedy and comedy? That's what it is. It means you're an actor. You put on a mask and you pretend... pretender is a good word for it. You pretend to be one thing and you're another. And so Jesus would say, "You pretender, you hypocrite". Well, you have to put that away and quit being double-minded about things. "As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the Word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious". And so all of these and you go down, you need to read that whole second chapter.
But then you get you look out it, there's 23 verses ahead of it. Look at the 23rd. "Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: Who, say who. Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed". Glory to God. If you were healed, then you are healed now and there's no time or distance in the realm of the Spirit. With God, a day is a thousand years and a thousand years is a day. It is so real. And if you have things that the devil just keeps bringing them up... No. God has blotted out your sins and will remember them no more.
Look it up and in the book of Isaiah, "I, even I, am he who blotteth out your sins and remember them no more for my own sake". I said, "Oh, now, now, now, wait a minute. No, not for your sake. For my sake". No, he said, "For my sake". I said, "I don't understand". He said, "Do you want to remember bad things about your children"? I said, "Well, of course not". "Neither do I". He said, "I did it for my sake because if I remember your sins, I can't bless you. And I'm here to bless you. I'm here to keep you well, I'm here to see to it that you live a life worth living". Hallelujah. And at that time I was on my knees, he said, "Now get up from there. You have a clean slate. Start over again and tell me what you want me to remember". Oh, that's good, isn't it? You tell me what you want me to remember. I said, "Well, Lord, let's see here".
Let's see here. This is the way it works. There's a hot spot of healing right over in that area right now. Glory to God. Right up that side over there. Hallelujah. Praise God. Bad throat problems, sinus problems are being taken care of all the way in that area up there, low back pain is being done. I just keep getting this on the wrist. But whatever it is, glory to God. Ears are being healed. Eyes are being healed. Praise the Lord. Lungs are being healed coming up. There are people that had COVID in your lungs, are really not like they should be. Well, they are now, take a deep breath. Glory to God. Hallelujah. A person with asthma, chronic asthma is being healed. I know what that's like. I had it when I was young, boy Praise God. Thank You, Jesus. And we were talking about shoulders.
There are people having their shoulders healed. Praise God. I mean, just move them. Move, move your shoulders. Hallelujah. Glory to God and say, Well, Brother Copeland, don't you wear hearing aids? Yes, I do. Why? So I can hear it better. You wear seeing aids, right? Loud airplanes. But now Kellie laid her hands on me and I claimed it. And I'm on my way. Now, the first time I wore these thing I was preaching on the Navajo Indian Reservation, and I've been adopted into a Navajo family. And my Navajo name is Maveh Wowasteh, Good Eagle Speech But anyway, I was preaching for Ellson Bennett there and a big, big celebration and they had his big tent and I was preaching on God the covenant and the contradiction and so and I was thrilled anyway.
Well usually David puts my phone and my Bible bag just, turns the ringer off. My phone rang in my ears right while I was preaching. I didn't know it could... I knew it could happen, but you had to put it on airplane mode, and somebody call me. And I thought, that gives a new ringing to ringing in your ears. Glory to God. You see the thing right there? It's kind of funny. And I was walking around and it says "low battery". But I didn't take care of my ears. We were in our prayer cabin. I was going deer hunting that afternoon. And usually, you know, every fire rifle like that a few time your ears would ring and go away and I can see it in my mind right now and test-fired my rifle about three times and cause my ears rang and it didn't go away, it's still in there and flying those airplanes.
Now they have noise canceling headsets, those were not available back there. The only reason you wore a headset was so you could hear it better. And they looked at my hearing loss line and they made a big dip like that. But then I did the research on it and found out that struggling to hear will cause you to lose your memory. Now, Jerry, David Weeter, his wife Lynn and I, we were in Africa together and I said, "I want the three of you to lay hands on my ears".
And they did. And I claimed it because my memory... I was forgetting things. And David was following me around with a notebook, reminding me things that I was forgetting. I'm talking to somebody, I'm talking to someone. This is important. And we came home, and when we got home, the Lord began to deal with me about it. And he said, "You fix this right now". So and these things really bothered me for a while, but that was a response to that. And it worked. So you see where that happened at the same time, it was on the same cross. He took your sicknesses and disease, weaknesses and pains all at the same time and took them to hell and dumped them there.
