Kenneth Copeland - The Spiritual Law of Faith

Kenneth Copeland - The Spiritual Law of Faith
TOPICS: Faith

Father, I give myself to the anointing in this and to stand in this office that I'm so blessed that You called me and placed me here. This office, in which I stand, I stand in it by faith. I walk in it by faith and I live in it by faith. I praise You. Thank You, Jesus, praise You and thank You Lord, and savior, leader and guide. Holy Spirit, rise up and live big within me tonight. Bring this revelation alive and strong in me tonight. And I'll walk in it and be quick to give You all the praise and all the glory. And I'm asking You that not one person inside this church building, not one person watching online, not one person hearing these CDs or DVDs or wherever they hear it in the world that not one person leave the sound of my voice untouched by the power of the living God. Spirit, soul, body, financially and socially. And it is in that name that I pray, and I believe it'll come to pass and be that way and none other.

Praise God. The fundamentals of faith basics. What are you watching when you watch the Super Bowl? Masters of the fundamentals. What are you watching when you're the World Series? Masters of the fundamentals, but they must never stop learning. If they cease to learn, the finest NBAA basketball player possibly be, if he ever, or she ever stops learning, then the game will get bigger than them. And the game itself will take them out, amen. I don't play baseball as well as I used to, amen, but I'm a whole lot better at faith than I used to be. And you have to continue to learn because at the very best, at the absolute best, we still know so little. But if you know John 3:16, you know more than a lot of people on this earth. And so you and I should be a continual witness.

Gloria and I learned a long time ago... while I'm talking, open your Bibles to Roman 3:27. And we learned a long time ago to treat everybody like they're saved and just talk to them like everything's just wonderful. I had a marvelous experience here a few days ago. I saw an ad on and it just started coming up in me for a few days there that maybe a new Honda Gold Wing motorcycle would be nice. And it just kind of somehow just flung a craving on me. And so, and I saw this thing and in this ad, Jerry, it's red and silver and black, and it already had the California side car on it. Yeah, they got two of them. And I thought I'm going to do this. And it's just the more I thought about it and the more I prayed about it, the bigger it got on the inside of me. And so started checking in on it, and I had Dwayne check in on it and look at it. And it was at a Honda store in Springdale, Arkansas, which is up close to Fayetteville.

Well, okay. Well, I got up there. Beautiful thing, just... So there a young man named Cody and all these other young men around said, "Come on, boys, gather around. We're going to dedicate this thing to Jesus". I started praying. They all bowed their heads right there in that Honda store now, but yeah, having a big time. And so Cody checked me out on all the electronics and everything, and this thing has an automatic transmission, I want you to know. No more clutchy, no more tired hands. I made a comment. We don't want hear about your motorcycle. Yes, you do. You just don't know it yet. So they all gathered around there and we just prayed. And I got up on top of that thing, looking at all this stuff, and we got just about done and everything. And this young man said, "Mr. Copeland, my dad said he wanted to come down and meet you, but I told him we didn't need a crowd down here". I said, "What's that matter with you, boy"? I said, "How far away"? "Oh, he's not very far". I said, "Well, get him down here".

So he came down there and he walked in there. He grabbed me by the hand. He said, "Copeland, I'm a Rhema graduate". And I need prayer. And I need prayer. That is the reason I'm a proud owner. Well, I'm not a proud owner, I'm a thrilled owner. A man needed prayer for he and his family. He said, "I was at Rhema when you preached there, brother". Here's a Rhema graduate back in the '70s, Keith. I mean, I was preaching at Rhema when he was a student there and I don't care if he did live in Springdale, Arkansas. That's our God, and he needed prayer and it worked. Thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Lord Jesus. And you just witness wherever you go, whatever you do because everything is a tool. That Honda is a tool. We've seen it, Jerry has seen it, I've seen it, Jesse's seen it. We've ministered and witnessed on those things all over this country. And it's amazing, but don't treat people like they're not saved. Treat them like they are. And you just expect them to respond this way and then they will, and you can close the deal. Hallelujah.

And this is where we begin. Verse 26, third chapter of Romans, "To declare I say at this time, his righteousness that he might be just, and the justifier". Where is boasting then? It is excluded. Boasting then is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith. There are laws of physics and there are spiritual laws. Spiritual laws, our living God created the heaven and the earth with spiritual forces and spiritual laws. Until that time, there was no earth. There was heaven, but no earth. When was that? In the beginning, that's far back as I can go brother, is Genesis 1:1. Amen. But God, Jesus said, "God is a spirit. Spiritual laws are real. Faith is a spiritual law". Fear, a spiritual force. Fear is a spiritual force. It's a powerful spiritual force. Fear. How many of you have been to Niagara Falls?

Now I don't know whether it's still there or not because it's been there for ages. That old bucket that's hanging out over that fall, just rusted out and just hanging there. At the time we were there looking at that, and you can look it up, there's a story behind it. A crew coming across the falls and the cables got hung up. They were in that bucket and this one man was so frightened that water coming underneath him at 60 miles an hour. And he's hanging there over the falls. By the time they got him out of there, he was completely white-headed. It scared him so terribly his hair turned white. Well, what does that mean? It means it just aged him about 30 years or so immediately. Fear. Well, fear is faith. Now the fear is faith. You have to believe and have faith in something to that will hurt or kill you, or there's no fear there. Now people developed fear. You develop it with your words. Well, are you going? I'm afraid not.

Well, what you have to put it that way. That way. That's good, isn't it? That way, my West Texas came out. Why'd you have to say it like that? You didn't, you said it by habit. I'm afraid not, I'm afraid so. Oh, Lord, that scared me half to death. The Lord got on me about that years ago, corrected Gloria, corrected me and said, "Stop using the actions of the devil, the enemy to express yourself". He said, "That's the reason I said yes and no. All else proceeds from evil. You don't need an excuse in the first place". Well, I just thought about it and I thought about it. I must have thought about it a million times. You thought about it twice. So now you're lying about the fact that he scared you to death. So all of spiritual force, since we are spirit beings, like God, we're born of God and he is a spirit and his Word carries his faith in power. His Word.

Now remember, this is not only an Eastern book. It is a book of covenants. Not so much Old Testament, New Testament, but first covenant and second. And this first covenant is in two parts. First in the blood of animals in the 15th chapter of Genesis. Then in the blood of a man in the 17th chapter of Genesis through circumcision. Now, what is that all about? Well, the whole thing, all of it, faith, all of it is the blessing of God. That's what all this is all about. That's what Abraham, Isaac and Jacob's all about, the blessing of God. God blessed. He blessed and blessed and saw that it was good. He blessed and blessed and blessed and saw that it was good. And he blessed his two children. Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth. Amen. Well, you know what they did? No one sinned and died until Adam sinned and died.

Now all of us got stuck with that all these centuries and generations and generations, but God is so good. "God is a good God. Yes, he is". He's a good God and he's a faith God. And he's a healing God. And he's a restoring God. Amen. And the moment Adam sinned, God Almighty started his plan number two, to get him back. And here we are tonight. Now I thank You, Lord, for reminding me of that. I'm going to touch on this. I don't take time to spend too much time on it. 24th chapter of the book of Matthew, Jesus talked about wars and rumors of wars. This generation will not pass away until this gospel of the kingdom be preached into all nations and then the end shall come. And when you go back and read that, he talked about the fig tree, which is referring to Israel. He said, "This is the beginning of sorrows".

Well, now here we are in the end of sorrows. We're at the end of sorrows because over 2000 years have come and gone. But we are of that generation. I am of the generation and so are you, by what law? By the law of faith. Spiritual laws are powerful. They are, and a fundamental law. Well, what is a law? The law of physics, once that law is discovered and all of the elements are there, then it works every time it's put to work. And that's the reason scientists had to work at it and look at it and work at it to figure these things out and figure, well, this is where we missed it.

Thomas Edison and something simple as the light bulb, that seemed simple to us, but it was hard. It was hard. If he had not had the tenacity that he had, he most likely would've failed. They had everything figured out except the element itself. It kept burning out and it kept burning out, and it kept burning out and it kept burning out. They tried everything they could think of. And it just kept burning out. I think it was something like 900 times they tried, but once they got it, let there be light. God knew that all the times. He already had all that figured out, but this planet doesn't belong to him. It belongs to us. He created it, of course, by right of creation it belongs to him. But the first thing he did was create our human race and gave it to our kind.

So we're responsible. We're responsible to seek and search the laws of God. And they're all in this book to seek and search those laws. And look after those law, look after the laws of witnessing. We don't have any right to just forget about that. That's part of the law of love is to let somebody else know what you know, and talk about it and talk about Jesus is coming. He's coming soon. My mother used to say that every day, every day. "Jesus, Kenneth. Jesus is coming this year". I'd say, "Oh, okay, mama". And she'd say it all year, and next year he's coming this year. I said, "You said that. Yeah, last year". "Yeah, but he's coming this year". She kept that on her mind all the time, because she had a death sentence put over her.

Now I didn't understand this when I was young. Her appendix ruptured on the basketball court when she was just a young girl and the doctor saw that it was ruptured. He didn't even sew her up. She had to die. My grandfather encouraged him. My grandfather's Cherokee Indian. And he just said, "Well, if she dies, you die". And so, he cleaned her up. He cleaned her up and got her all fixed and sewed her up, thinking she still had to die, but she refused to die. And they said, "You probably won't live bit 10 years".

So today we are one day closer to the resurrection, hallelujah. Glory to God. And we've come over, and like I said, into a new era. And chapter four, "What shall we say then that Abraham, our father, as pertaining to the flesh had found. For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory, but not before God. For what sayeth the scripture, Abraham believed God and has accounted unto him for righteousness".

Now to him that works, you could go on and go on talking about the law of works. There is a law of works. People that don't work shouldn't eat. Brother Copeland, that's mean hearted. No, you can get over into the fact that you can, don't have to work and you get worthless. And you just sit around and get mean, expecting everybody else to give you something. And it'll finally come to the fact you believe they owe it to you. They don't owe you anything. No, but when people in that condition accept the Lord Jesus and then continue to seek out the law of faith, it will bring them out of that situation, into the power of the light of God. Amen. Because, any person that's in Christ is a new creature. All things have passed away and behold, all things have become new and all things are of God. So how did you get there? By faith.
