Joseph Prince - Prayer 2.0: The Key To The Double Portion
How you all doing church? I'm excited for God's Word for all of you today, and I want to dive right into the Word from where we left off last week. I'm sure you are excited to receive the Word. The Bible says the entrance of God's words gift light, amen? Regardless of what we are faced with, sometimes the Word may not speak specifically to the area of situation that we are having battle with, but the entrance of God's words give light. It will give light on that area as well.
You know, when you lose something in a dark room, let's say you lose your car keys, for example, you don't know where is it, amen? You switch on the light in the room and you start looking for it because the light will not just uncover the lost key, it might uncover other items as well. What we need is the light, amen? And we don't curse the darkness. We don't complain about the darkness. We don't keep on looking at the darkness and wish that it will be bright, amen? We just switch on the light, amen. So, the entrance of God's words give light. It is the solution to everything, amen. Praise the Lord. As God's first words were, "Light be," and there was light. And God saw that light was good. May we receive light from his Word today, amen.
Now, last week, we touched on what God is doing in these days as prophesied by Isaiah of chapter 59. If you look up here, it says, "So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west". And we touch on the fact that the restoration of the power of the name of Jesus, the power attorney in the name of Jesus has largely come from the west, amen, this revelation. But notice that it says his glory, they'll feel his glory from the rising of the sun. And I got this revelation when I was preaching a number of years ago in a Tokyo, Japan, and you know that their symbol is the land, they are known as the Land of the Rising Sun, amen, where the sun rises first. And, of course, New Zealand will say that's where they rise first. But here, we know the rising of the sun is from the east, amen. But instead of saying east, it says the rising of the sun.
So, I believe there's gonna be an end-time revival like never before in the eastern countries like Japan, South Korea, even North Korea, God's gonna do something, and in China and all the way back to Jerusalem, amen. That doesn't mean God is finished with the west. No, no, no, no, it just means that God adds to what is happening and his emphasis in these last days is that he's gonna cause there to be a worldwide revival as prophesied by the Prophet Joel. "It shall come to pass in the last days, I'll pour out my spirit upon all flesh," all flesh, all nationalities, amen. All flesh all over the world, people from the west, east, amen, all over the world will receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. And your young men shall see visions and your old men will dream dreams, hallelujah. And your handmaidens will prophesy. And God says, "And they shall prophesy, and I will show".
Now, those words go together, "they will prophesy, and I will show wonders," amen. When we prophesy, God's gonna demonstrate his wonders, amen. Praise the Lord. So, we are in these days. And the Bible says during these days what's gonna happen is that the enemy, when the enemy comes in like a flood. So, we see that happening even in the world today. Now, this is by no means the only explanation, okay. I'm not saying that this is referring to the Coronavirus pandemic that we are in right now, but it includes that. In the last days, the enemy is gonna do things that will cover the earth. He's trying to imitate God where God says, "As the waters cover the sea," amen, "my glory will be like that," amen. "My glory shall be like the waters that cover the sea". And every part of the sea is actually water, amen.
So, God's glory is gonna cover the earth. So, the devil is trying to play catch up. He's trying to imitate what God is doing, but his is like a pandemic right now all over the world, and we know it's global. But see what's gonna happen when that happens. The Bible says, "When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up his standard against him". And in the Hebrew, lift up a standard is actually to route the enemy out, amen. God will cause him to flee, amen. God will cause him to be routed. Praise the Lord. And what is the key? Keep on reading. Notice the Spirit of the Lord will do that, amen. We rest in him. It's not us doing it. The Spirit of the Lord will lift up the standard against him. "The Redeemer will come to Zion, and to those who turn from transgression in Jacob, says the Lord".
And verse 21 says, gives us a secret here. "As for Me, says the Lord, this is my covenant with them. My Spirit who is upon you, and My words, which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants' descendants, says the Lord, from this time, and forevermore". Notice God says, "This is my covenant". This is a covenant God's gonna make with us in these days, and we know we are the people of these days. We are the people of this, verse 21. His spirit is on us and his words he has put in our mouth. What is that?
Now, I know that God's words can be the known language, whether it's English, all right, in many parts of the world. But I believe that this is speaking of the times that we are living in when God fills us with the Holy Spirit, his spirits on us, and we speak in that heavenly language. We speak in the prayer language of the Holy Spirit. And notice that the Bible says it's connected with when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him. And two verses after that it says, "This is My covenant that I'll make with them. My spirit will be on them, and I'll put my words in their mouths," amen. "and my words will not depart from their mouth".
Now, we want our children to be filled with the Holy Spirit as well. We want them to walk in the ways of the Lord. We want the Lord to have an impact in their lives, amen. But the key is that notice the sequential order here, his words will not depart from your mouth first, as long you keep those words in your mouth, amen. Then it will come to the next descendant, right, which is your children, nor from the mouth of your descendants and upon your grandchildren, amen, nor from your descendant, your seed's seed, amen. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. So, it starts with you. Don't let those words, don't stop praying in the Spirit. The devil want to freeze you in your mouth. He wants to cover the well just like he did in the days of Isaac.
We are like Isaac because we are the seed of Abraham. And the only thing Isaac did, the notable thing that Isaac did, was that he uncovered all the wells that his father dig, but the enemy came. The Philistines came and covered the wells. In fact, one of the first things that a Philistine did that was bad. All right, there's a lot of things that they did in the Old Testament. They are the number-one enemy of Israel, amen. In the Old Testament, there were others like Hittites, Hivites, Amorites and all that, but they are the number-one one and but the first thing they did in the Old Testament was that they covered all the wells that Abraham dig, amen.
So, we are uncovering the wells right now. We are uncovering the wells. God is, right now all over the world, uncovering the well, the well of grace, amen, the true gospel of grace. He's uncovering the well, even of healing, amen, which is the blood-bought right, amen, of a child of God. It's bought by the blood of Jesus. By his stripes, we are healed. It's uncovering even in this, and wealth of prosperity, people. And don't be afraid of that word. We're not talking about prosperity out of greed or self-aggrandizement. We're talking about being blessed to be a blessing. He's uncovering that.
Notice that the devil has covered all this up, amen, and people preach against that. They themselves have two, three houses, they have two, three cars, amen, and they just, you know, they can prosper but others cannot. No, friend, it's time for the church to prosper, amen. I'm not saying be selfish. I'm not saying be greedy, not just me, me, me, not just like all your sermons are just talking about giving, giving, giving, amen, about giving to you. No, no, no, no, but there's a new kind of teaching. There's a true and there is a pseudo teaching, amen. And the true is being uncovered. Praise the Lord.
You know, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ that though he was rich, yet for your sakes, he became poor that you, through his poverty, might become rich, amen. Praise the Lord. Amen. The context this physical, amen. It's got nothing to do with spiritual riches there. It's talking about he was made physically poor, amen. Where? At the cross that you, through his poverty, might be rich, and the whole context that talks about giving finances, amen. Amen, praise the Lord.
So, God is uncovering all this, uncovering the well of the gifts of the Spirit, amen. That's being restored where the church has, in the past, uncovered it and through false teachings and all that saying that all the gifts of the Spirit all has gone off from the scene, amen, we don't need them anymore, as if we live in better times, as if we are not, we're not in more earnest need for the gifts of the Holy Spirit in our day and age. My friend, we need it more than ever, amen. And the Bible says, follow after love and pursue love, follow after love and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that you may prophesy. Amen, friend. If you want to see the gifts of the Spirit operate, follow after love.
I remember many years ago, I was on my way back late at night from a meeting. And from a leaders' meeting. I remember that I was in a hurry, I was driving down the highway and making it as far as I can if I can reach home because I was about to watch and I think it wasn't 1 a.m. at that time, a championship that was about to take place. It think it was a European Championship. And I was very excited to see my favorite team, amen. So, I was in a hurry to go back. And I was driving down the highway, and I was passing by an elderly man who was trying to go over the central divider of the highway.
So, I passed by, I thought nothing about it. I just drove, I passed by him. But all of a sudden, the compassion of love, the love of the Lord, compassion of Jesus just rose up in me. And I know enough to know, follow after love. I wasn't in a place where I wanted to move in the gifts of the Spirit or the Word of knowledge or the Word of wisdom. But I just followed the love and I knew enough to know that if that love, that flow of love comes on me, I need to follow that. So, you know what I did? I stopped at the side of the road, at the shoulder of the road, and because there was not many cars at that time at that hour of the night, I slowly reversed being very careful, reversed all the way to where the elderly man was trying to cross over the central divider. And he was not taking the overhead bridge across the highway. He was taking the central divider trying to cross over.
So, I came over to the side and I got out of the car and called out to him. And I went over to get him. It was pretty unsafe for him because he might not see a speeding, especially at that time of the night, there might be a speeding car. So, I brought him over back to my car. And I asked this elderly man, and I asked him what's wrong? Can I help him? And he said that, "Oh, I'm very hungry, and I've not eaten. And I'm looking for a place to eat". So, I said what do I do now? And I found a person who is hungry and I do not know where, I said, where are you from? And he told me, you know, where he was from, a nearby neighborhood. And I said, shall I bring you back home? "Oh, there's nothing at home. I have no one and, you know, except for my son and my son is not at home. And I'm hungry".
I was thinking to myself, what do I do now, you know? So, I said why don't I bring you to a place to eat? "No, no, you see, I'm looking for this place, this market, my friend is there. He will take care of me. He always gives me food". But how will I know which market is it, you know? So, I told him, you know what, get into my car first. So, I brought him my car, and I started driving, you know, without direction. I do not know where to go and say that, can I bring you to a place to eat? And he says, "No, no, I have to go to that place. They always take care of me, and they have food for me".
So I, in my spirit, I prayed. I followed after love and the Bible says, follow after love and desire spiritual gifts, right? So, I said, "Lord, you know, I don't know what to do with this elderly man. Lord, what do I do now"? And from my spirit popped up this picture, amen. I saw that ABC market. And I saw it clearly, clear as crystal. I say that, is it the ABC market? And he was like, you know, he's not very coherent. So he said, "No, my friend is there, this market. He, they always give me food to eat". So, I said, I'm gonna drive there and see what happens. Okay, so I drove all the way there. It was quite a distance from the highway to where it was. By the time I reached there, all right, I start feeling stronger in my spirit that this was the place. And I took him out.
I started walking and the very first, we call it the teh tarik store, which is the place where they sell coffee, all right? And it was still open that night. And when that man who sold the coffee saw this elderly man, he shouted his name out. I knew I was in the right place. And then that coffee man was telling me about how this elderly man, it's a very pitiful story, how his, you know, his son neglects him, and many a times he's hungry. And some time back, his son brought him to this place and he told this elderly man that whenever he needs to eat or whatever, just come over to my store. He says it's a very sad story. So, I felt like, you know, that the Lord loved this man, amen?
Now, had I not followed after love, there'll be no manifestation of the gifts. So, many a times we want the manifestation of the gifts, but we're not following after love, amen. Do the first step, amen. Do the first step, take the first step, and then the gifts will flow. Praise the Lord. And when, you know, when I walked away, I realized that the gifts of the Spirit is not just for the people, the church. It is not just for people's salvation, or for someone's healing, or... God just loves people, amen, and the gift can manifest any time, amen. If you're a teacher, it can manifest when you take care of your students and all that.
You know, whatever level, you can tell when a child is in trouble, and the Lord will tell you. If you're a surgeon and you are about to operate, the Holy Spirit can tell you what really is the problem and all that. We have a number of cases where testimonies of the testimonies of believers, amen, who are surgeons. And they are doing the operation, and then the Lord tells them, no, that's not the thing, all right, while they're doing that. And later on, only to find out had they done that operation, it will cause more complications. So, the Holy Spirit can speak to you. You're a student, the Holy Spirit can tell you, show you things to come, where to study, where to focus on, amen. Praise the Lord. So, the gifts of the spirit, the Bible says, is for every man to profit. Hallelujah.
And you notice that people who don't pray in the Spirit, they don't pray in tongues, they don't see the manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit. So, I want to encourage you, child of God, keep on praying in the Spirit, amen. And we have been touching on law and grace, and this is a special prayer that is only unique for this new covenant of grace. During this new covenant of grace, we see this gift manifesting, amen. In fact, it's that prayer language that never existed in the Old Testament. They did pray in the Old Testament, but they prayed with their understanding, which is limited. Whereas on the day of Pentecost, when the day of Pentecost was fully come, God sent the Holy Spirit, and they began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance, amen.
We saw last week that elevated discourse. It is not a lowly word. It is not some gibberation that someone is speaking. And it is an elevated and dignified discourse, amen. That's the word "utterance" there. So, it's a unique prayer, prayer 2.0, that is just specially for this new covenant people, amen, who have the Holy Spirit in them, not just on them, in them. In the Old Testament, they had the Holy Spirit on them. It will come on them for a specific task and purpose, and then it will leave them, amen. It will come on Samson, amen, and Samson will take a jawbone of a donkey and just fight against 1,000 men and kill them. Then it will lift, amen. It will come on David, amen, he will prophesy and then it will lift. It will come on a certain servant of God, a prophet of God, and he will prophesy, and then it will lift. But Jesus says, the Holy Spirit who is with you in the upper room, Jesus said that, he will be in you, amen, and he will be with you forever. Hallelujah.
So, we are, we are the new covenant people. We have the Holy Spirit in us. So, the more you pray in the Spirit, the more you are led by the Spirit. And only when you are led by the Spirit, Galatians 5 very clearly tells us if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. If you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now, we don't want to be under the law because if you're under the law, sin will have dominion over you, amen? So, it's very clear that when we are not under the law, we are under grace, sin will have no power over us. Not only that, if you're under the law, then you're under the curse. The Bible says, "For as many as of the works of the law are under the curse," right?
So, we want to be under the law, we want to be under grace. How do you do it? Practically, amen. We don't just say we are free from the law, all right, and to go into another kind of bondage, amen, to the fleshly lusts of the flesh or that's another bondage. We're not freed from one bondage to another bondage. Friend, we are freed from the law to follow the Spirit, amen. It will help you to know this, the Old Testament is actually people that follow the written letter, all right, what is written. But people of the new covenant are people of grace, amen, are people that follow the Spirit, they follow the Spirit, and you will more than fulfill the written law.
In fact, the Bible says like this, we saw last week, when you follow the Spirit, the righteousness of the law will be fulfilled in you, not by you, but in you as you follow the Spirit, amen. Praise the Lord. We also saw that it is the number seven weapon of the Holy Spirit. In fact, the rest of all defensive in nature, the panoply, the armor of God for the believer. You have the helmet of salvation, which is the hope of salvation. Having a positive expectation of good in your future, amen, is to actually clad yourself with the armor, amen, the helmet of salvation, which is defensive, right? So, you have the breastplate of righteousness, which protects your heart from the accusations and the condemnation of the enemy, right? It protects your heart from all the fiery darts.
And then you have the loins gird with truth, amen, to stabilize all your weapons, amen. You put your sword in a scabbard, it is taken care of by, upheld by your belt. You have the gospel of peace shoes, right? You're the gospel of peace shoes so that wherever you go, you possess the land, amen. Wherever you go, good news is coming. Praise the Lord. You're a blessing everywhere you go. Then you have the shield of faith, and the shield of faith, again, is defensive in nature, by which you'll quench, how much? All the fiery darts of the wicked one. The only weapon that is offensive is the seventh one. And you know that God never stops the six, right? It's the seventh one, okay, which is what? Praying in the Spirit, amen, praying in the Spirit. It's wielding the sword of the Spirit.
And Youngs says it like this, "And the helmet of salvation receive, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the saying of God". How do you will the sword of the Spirit? How do you receive it? Which is the rhema of God, the saying of God is rhema of God. How do you do it? Through, and that's how it starts in the Greek, dia. Dia means "through all prayer and supplication, praying at all times in the Spirit, and in regard to the same, watching in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints". It's a spirit of grace and supplication that God promised in Zechariah, I believe it is, where it says that, "I'll pour upon the house of David, the Spirit of grace and supplication, and they will look upon me whom they have pierced". And that prophecy is a prophecy for the new covenant people, amen. It's the Spirit of grace and supplication, which I believe is praying in the Spirit, as demonstrated here.
So, how do you receive the rhema of God? Through all prayer and supplication, praying at all times in the Spirit. Now, we have settled that praying in the Spirit is not praying with more impetus, is not praying with more enthusiasm. It is not praying being led by the Spirit in your English. No, the Bible says it very clearly. "If I pray in an unknown tongue, if I pray in an unknown language, amen, my Spirit prays". Later on he says, "What is it then? I will pray with my Spirit and I'll prayer with my understanding". There you see the contrast, amen. Praying in the Spirit is praying in tongues, praying with understanding, and most of us, it's English or any language we speak our mother tongue, right? "And I'll sing with the Spirit, and I'll sing with the understanding".
So, it's very clear when the Bible talks about praying in the Spirit, it's always praying in tongues, amen? And, friend, God has given us this wonderful weapon. If you go back to Isaiah 59, it's very clear. It says in Isaiah 59, "Right after my Spirit upon you, my words which I put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth". The very next chapter says, "Arise, shine". Now, you know that in the original Hebrew when the Bible is written, there are no chapters, right? So, it actually continues like this, "If my words do not depart from your mouth, this is gonna happen to you. Arise and shine, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth and deep darkness the people, but the Lord will arise over you, and his glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light and kings to the brightness of your rising".
So, notice that the Bible is very clear. It is not talking about the millennium. During the millennium, darkness does not cover the earth, amen. The Lord Jesus will be here, amen. There'll be world peace, amen, harmony, hallelujah, prosperity, amen, health, amen. So, it's definitely referring to the times that we live in, the end times, amen. The Bible says the way you rise and shine is to make sure that God's Spirit is on you, and that his words that he put in your mouth will not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your seed, nor from your seed's seed, hallelujah. Praise the name of Jesus. Then we all rise and shine, amen. And Bible says during the darkness, we will shine and people will come to us, amen. You know, there was a time that we will go to people, amen, but people will search us out, amen.
And now, you know, we have people searching us out online to just, you know, the numbers are just exponentially increasing. Every month, we are seeing new subscribers, people are tuning in. So, during this pandemic, let me tell you this, while we miss the physical gathering, God has a purpose for such a time as this. Right now we are seeing souls being touched, lives transformed, Jesus being glorified, and we are not limited by time and space, amen. The world, the world is listening to what is being preached in a certain location, amen, praise the Lord.
In the year of time and space, which is the year that the Lord gave for us, amen, just like the second miracle is a miracle that transcends space, amen, and little did... you know, when the Lord gave me that word early this year, little did I think that, when I shared about that miracle, there's gonna be a miracle that people will receive, predominantly not by laying on of hands anymore, you know, I believe that that will come back, amen, after we don't have any more of this social distancing and all that. Different people will believe in different things about how long that will be, but let me tell you this, amen, until then, in the year of time and space, just like the noble men, Jesus had spoke the Word, "Go your way. Your son lives". And his son who was about 20-over miles away, amen, back in Capernaum, received the Word, amen? And he was healed.
So isn't that what's happening? "I pray for you, and people are receiving". People are receiving right where they are. The Word of God transcends time and space. It is not Pastor Prince. It is the Lord who transcends time and space, and he's able touch you right where you are. Praise the Lord. You're no more limited to time nor space. Isn't that wonderful? Amen, and like the Apostle Paul, he's posturing people beyond time and space. He says, "I behold you in the spirit. I behold your steadfast order. I see you, and I see your order". How does he see it? He sees it in the spirit. We have to become people of the spirit, amen?
Pastors and leaders, you can behold your people in the spirit, and the Lord will put on your heart, he will light up what needs attention in the church, amen? Don't feel lost. In fact, this is uncomfortable to our flesh, but to our spirit, our spirit is alive because it knows that it can walk in faith even more during this time.
Now, God promised us something, something new. In the Old Testament, he prophesied about our day and age, in Isaiah 41, about a new weapon. Look at this in Isaiah 41: "Behold, I have made you a new, sharp threshing sledge with double edges". Now this word, "double edges," is from the Hebrew, which means, "double mouth". "Double mouth," "piphiyyoth". "Double mouth" from the word "peh," your "mouth". Now, "You will thresh the mountains and pulverize them, and will make the hills like chaff. You will winnow them, and the wind will carry them away, and the storm will scatter them, but you will rejoice in the Lord. You will glory in the Holy One of Israel". Now, it says that God will give you "a new, sharp threshing instrument". We are about to see this "threshing sledge with double mouth".
What does it mean? With this weapon, let's see what is the effect of this new threshing sledge. It says that, "You will cause the mountains", mountains are huge problems. Jesus talk about the mountain in Mark 11. He tells us, "Whoever shall say to the mountain, 'Be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea'", so it can be your sickness, it can be a condition in your body, it can be your depression. Whatever it is, Jesus says, "If it's a problem that looms large in front of you, speak to it," amen? Jesus says, "Have the faith of God. Speak to it," amen? "Say, 'Be thou removed, and be thou thrown into the sea,' and it shall do so," amen? "It shall be removed". And don't doubt in your heart. Believe that what you say will happen, and it will happen. And Jesus goes on to say, "Whatever you desire, when you pray, believe you receive, and you shall have".
Now, many of you know this teaching. We know it. We have spoken to the mountain, but what happens when you speak and it seems like the mountain is not moving, amen? Now, I know that some people say, "Just keep on speaking". Yeah, you know? But, you know, God has other weapons as well, praise the Lord. Many a times, when something doesn't seem to move, something doesn't seem to budge, that calls for something more, amen? And I believe this is the weapon: Because, "You will thresh the mountains and pulverize them. You will make the hills like chaff". All your problems will become like chaff. How would you like your problems, your sickness, the doctor says, "This condition, you know, is incurable," you know, in the natural, whatever it is. How would you like those problems to become like chaff, which the wind drives away? Amen.
Now, first, let's look at this threshing sledge. This threshing sledge here, this is what they do in the ancient times. They get the harvest, whether it's of wheat or barley, and they sort of, like, pile it up in the center, and then you see the man sitting on the sledge? Now, this sledge looks like, you know, like, what you do a snow sledge, amen, "Jingle Bells," "Jingle Bells," you know? But the sledge that Israel used, this is like how they used it in those days. Again, there's a pile of wheat or whatever they've just harvested. They put it right in the center, and then, notice the man is standing on the threshing sledge. So what they do is that they take a portion of the harvested grain, and they put it around in a circle, right? Where the sledge would come.
So as the oxen pulls the sledge, they will have children sitting or standing on the sledge so that there'll be pressure on the grain. And this pressure will separate the chaff from the grain, okay? Got it? He will separate the chaff from the grain because, underneath this threshing slide, is actually all this, let me show you a picture of a, yup. And let's go closer, and you'll, look at this. You have stones here. This is what they put underneath the sledge. They put underneath the sledge these stones, okay? So, when they grind over the grain, it will separate the chaff from the grain. Notice that this is tedious work, the man threshing. It goes around and around, just go 'round and 'round.
You know, sometimes, as a pastor, I feel like, when I'm praying in the Spirit, I like to do this. I'll just go around in my study, and I'll just go around, and 'round. You know, just go around. I just go around. There's not exactly such a big space for me, but, you know, I feel like an ox, going around. Just like this ox here, and I'm praying in tongues. That's my new threshing sledge. Why pray in tongues, pastor? Because it says, "Having double mouth". "Having double mouth". Whoa. "Having double mouth". You know, this is an amazing statement. The word there, "having double mouth," "I'll make you a new, sharp threshing sledge having double edges," the word "edge" there is "double mouth". Literally, the "edge" is from the word "peh," which is "mouth," amen.
So as we pray in the Spirit, we go around our mountain. We go around a mountain, praise the Lord. You can do this the whole day, like the children of Israel went around the walls of Jericho. You go around your problem, amen, wherever you're going, amen, in a circuit, praise the Lord, and you're making progress like going up the spiral staircase, amen. You're going higher. You pray in the Spirit. Some condition that you say, you know, like the doctor says, in the natural, "It might take like, you know, a long time for you to recover," or "It's incurable," whatever, just, you just pray over it. Just, "Lord, this is what a man says. They mean well". But, "The things that are impossible with men is possible with God," the Bible says. "So I thank you. Let your Holy Spirit pray for my heart. Pray for my lungs. Pray for my liver". Just tell the Lord. The Lord knows. The Holy Spirit in you knows how to make perfect prayers. And pray. Pray in the Spirit. Start praying in the Spirit.
Now, I'm not saying something instantaneous. Most of the time you find, when you pray in the Spirit, it's not like speaking to the mountains straightaway, amen? You speak to the mountain, many a times, the mountain moves. We have prayed for people, and instantly, they have the manifestation, whether it's their shoulder pain or whatever it is, they have an instant manifestation. That is line Mark 11:23, amen, but this prayer, usually it's a protracted time. I tell you what's happening. The Bible says that, "Whoever prays in an unknown tongue edifies himself, build himself up". Build himself up. I love it.
Now, we have thought because we taught that the Bible says, "If I pray in unknown tongue, my spirit prays". So that's true, but it is a wrong conclusion to say, "Because my spirit prays, only my spirit is edified". That has been a wrong perception that we had, of this gift, all right? When it says, "edify himself," it's the total self, spirit, soul, and body. Yeah, the prayer comes from your spirit. My spirit prays. When you pray in tongues, it's your spirit praying, amen, uttered through your vocal cords, amen, but it's the spirit praying. But the benefit, "Whoever speaks in an unknown tongue edifies", his spirit? No, "himself," his entire self. But I tell you what happens.
Sometimes, the first few days, when you're praying in tongues over your situation, let's say you've got a liver problem or whatever it is. You know, you say, "God, your Holy Spirit knows how to prayer this prayer. I do not know how to pray as I ought, but your Spirit knows". Romans 8:26. "So, Lord, I just ask that your Spirit intercedes for me," amen? And you pray. And many a times, the first day, the second day, you might even have some warfare going on, you know, as you're praying in the Spirit. Don't give up. That's why the Bible used the word "perseverance". Keep on praying. And many a time, what's happening is that there is a war going on, and the powers of darkness, not with God. God is more willing and happy, amen, for his people to enjoy all the benefits that Jesus died to give you, amen?
So God is not the problem. Your warfare is in the arena of the powers of darkness like Daniel when he prayed. It took 21 days for the answer to come, and the angel brought the answer. Angel Gabriel says that, you know 21 days, the day, "From the first day you prayed, God heard your prayer. Your prayer was heard, but there was a principality, an evil spirit that withstood my way". So there was a battle going on, and Daniel on earth kept on praying, amen? So, when you pray, many a times, God starts from the inside, amen? God start from the inside, strengthening you on the inside. So the Lord is strengthening your inside first, long before the benefits is manifested outside. So I tell you, it can take one day, two days, and all that, but keep on praying in the Spirit, and you'll find such a strengthening inside, amen? It's not a feeling. It's just a knowing that you are being strengthened inside. I don't know how long it will take, for each individual it'll be different.
As you pray in the Spirit, it can be one day even. It can be in a few hours. But usually it takes some time, amen? Don't give up. As you pray in the Spirit, then there comes a time, all of a sudden, you start feeling. The first few days, might not feel it, but, all of a sudden, it touches your soulish realm, your soul. Your soul is also where your feelings are, your mind. All of a sudden, you begin to see things. When you open up the Bible, you'll see things you never saw before. You'll hear things, and your mind becomes sharp, and where there's, like, a fog in your mind, you know, mental fog, you know, it's lifted. All of a sudden, there's clarity in your thought, amen, and you are able to elucidate things and express things that you find a bit hard in times past to express, and, all of a sudden, you know, there's clarity, and not only that, you're starting to feeling that there's a tranquilizing effect on your feelings, amen?
You're more calm. There's poise. There is tranquility, amen. You come to a place of rest. And many a times, that's a thing that's hindering our healing. We are not restful. Then I believe, only until then, the manifestation will come on your physical body, amen. At least that's what I've experienced many a times. Because it takes some time, many a times, people don't realize that, when they receive their healing, they forget how it all started, amen. All of a sudden, they feel better. They start feeling better. They forgot that it was when they started praying in tongues two weeks ago, or one week ago, or four days before, amen, they forget all that, and the manifestation might come, and the night before, they took a special ginseng drink, and they think it's the ginseng drink when, actually, it's the prayer, amen, manifesting, but because the manifestation takes some time, but here, it's so beautiful. Praise the Lord.
So you get what I'm saying, amen, child of God, this is such a wonderful weapon that God has given us. If you have a rebellious child and you do not know how to handle the child, you know, the child is causing you a lot of heartache, the Holy Spirit knows how to pray for that child. The Holy Spirit loves your child more than you love that child. So you pray, "Lord, I'm praying for that child". Maybe it's a grown child like your husband, amen, who refuse to grow up. Maybe you can pray for him, amen. Don't nag at him. All your nagging, what has it done, huh? Amen? Pray for him, amen. Nagging is coming under the law. You're trusting your efforts.
Actually, prayer (let me tell you about prayer), prayer is in the realm of grace because prayer is trusting God to do the work. Prayer is you resting, and you requesting, and you are praying, asking God to do it. That's grace, amen? That's why under the law in the Ten Commandments, there is no, "Thou shall pray". Why? It's all supposing man's strength, "You shall not," "You shall not," "You shall not". Doesn't say, "Believe God, and pray". "Believe God, and pray," amen? It's under grace. So when you're under grace, the more you pray, the more you're under grace, amen. You are leading literally under grace, praise the Lord, hallelujah, amen. So you pray for your child. Say, "Holy Spirit, you know how to pray for my child, you know how to pray for my husband," "You know how to pray for my wife". "Lord, I release it right now in Jesus's name". And just trust the Lord.
Sometimes it gets more intense. You and your husband, you know, you may even do a warfare, but don't give up. When that happens, be encouraged, amen. You know the warfare, and the devil is, like, having his final, you know, in the army, they call it the, "last burst of fire," amen. He's fleeing. The enemy knows he's defeated, amen, because this is sword of the Spirit. He has no answer for it, and you are wielding it, amen, through praying in the Spirit, hallelujah. And notice that the mountain that's in front of you, what about the mountain? According to Isaiah 41, when God gives you this new threshing sledge, "You will thresh the mountains and pulverize them", one thing about this threshing, it takes time to pulverize the mountain. You go around and around the mountain like the grain, harvested grain. You go around and around, and you thresh the grain under you. You're praying.
The more you go around, the more you pray in the Spirit, the more you're threshing the mountain. It's not Mark 11:23, where you speak once and it happens, amen. It is threshing it bit by bit, amen, portion by portion, "until you make the hills like chaff". From mountain become hills and become chaff. You know, "chaff," where the threshing sledge separates the grain, the edible part of the grain, all right, the part where you eat, amen, and from the shell, the husk, the chaff, amen? And the next stage is this: "You will winnow them, and the wind will carry them away, and the storm will scatter them". What is "winnowing"?
When you look at this man here, after the grain is separated, okay, from the chaff, this is what he does. He takes the winnowing fork, can you see like, it's a huge fork, right, usually made of wood, and what he does is after the threshing comes the winnowing. It's not the other way around. It's always after the threshing. Then he will winnow it. He will take, because what has happened is that the grain has been separated from the chaff, but it's still together on the ground. So what he does, usually a threshing floor will take place on a high mountain, on a high hill, where the wind, all right, can be felt, amen, in its power. Praise the Lord.
So usually at a high place just like Araunah's threshing floor where David saw the angel. Remember that? It was on Mount Moriah. Originally the temple, where the temple of Solomon was, was the threshing floor of Araunah, amen, the Jebusite. He had a threshing floor. So threshing floors are on a high place to take advantage of the wind. So what they do is they take the winnowing fork, and they will dig into the pile that has been crushed, right? Rather, separated from the grain, but there's a lot of chaff down there. How can you get rid of chaff? It would be very tedious to pick them one by one, so what they do is they take the winnowing fork, and the wind is blowing. They make sure that they're not in the direction of the wind, or the chaff will go into your eye. They will go with the wind, flow with the wind, my friend, and they will toss it up in the air, and then the wind will blow the chaff away. You know why? Grain is heavier than the chaff.
The Bible says in Psalms 1, "The ungodly are not so". Verse 3, "We are like the tree planted by the... whatever we do prosper," the last line, but look at the next verse: "The ungodly are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind drives away". So what the guy does is, he toss it in the air, amen? He toss it in the air, and then the wind will blow away the chaff. The chaff is light, but the grain will come back down again. So the more they do that, the more the ground is filled with grain, hallelujah, hallelujah. So you know what? You do it with your mountain when you're praying in the Spirit. First of all, you're threshing it, bit by bit, bit by bit. As time pass, amen, you are going in a Galilee, Galilee, amen? "In a circuit". That's what the name "Galilee" means. You are going in a circuit, amen, like a spiral staircase that God talked about.
God shared with us this word in the early part of the year, amen, going up the spiral staircase, amen. We do not know what's the future, but we are going one step at a time, amen. So we are praying in the Spirit in a circuit, amen? Like, I'm not saying you must do in your room like this, okay? The way I do it, I'm preparing my message, but you can do it all day long as you work. Wherever you're going, even when you are shopping, amen, even when you're cooking, pray in the Spirit. It's like you're going in a circuit, amen? You're praying, but you are separating the chaff from the grain. And then keep on praying, and the wind of the Spirit will drive away all the chaff, amen? Praise the name of Jesus, hallelujah. Oh, I'm so excited.
My friend, you say, "Pastor Prince, what makes you say that this new threshing sledge is praying in the Spirit"? Well, let's go back to Isaiah 41. It says double mouth, right? Double mouth. And if you look at Psalms 149, it tells you very clearly: "Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand". It's part of a weapon. This word two-edged sword is exactly the same word you find a double edge that just now in Isaiah 41 of the new threshing sledge. Same Hebrew word: double mouth. I asked the Lord this. I asked the Lord, "Lord, speak to me, Lord. And give me confirmation beyond the shadow of any doubt, I know this threshing sledge, I know it is praying in the Spirit, but I want confirmation". And the word double mouth, the Lord... you know how the Lord shared it... show it to me? This is what the Lord said to me.
One night I woke up, literally, in the middle of, it was morning then, okay, but it was still within my sleeping time. I woke up in the middle of my sleep, and I heard these words: "Cloven tongues". Cloven tongues. I got it, amen? On the Day of Pentecost, when the Day of Pentecost was fully come, amen, there came a sound of a rushing mighty wind and it filled all the house where they were sitting and the Bible says in Acts 2: "There appeared to them cloven tongues," in the King James. That's what I heard. But in the New King James, it says: "Divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them". Cloven means divided. Divided tongues, double tongues. "And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance".
Oh, hallelujah. When I heard that, that gave me a confirmation I've been asking the Lord. You know, when the Lord gave me the answer in the middle of my sleep, amen, I just heard "cloven tongues". Cloven like cloven-footed animals, divided hoof, right? In two? Cloven tongues. Cloven means divide in two. Here is the word divided in the New King James. And friend, it is a double edge. It's a double mouth, a sword with double edge, hallelujah. A double-edged sword. That reminds you also of Hebrews 4, verse 12. Hebrews 4, verse 12 tells you: "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and God's word can go to the joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart".
My friend, the word two-edged sword is the Greek word, of course, your Old Testament is in Hebrew. This is New Testament, so New Testament in Greek, it says -two-edged sword is the one word, distomos. Distomos. Now, the word di, D-I, means divide, two, like you say, divide. Means in two. Dichotomy, in English, right? All have the same idea as the Greek. D-I means to divide, dichotomy. Distomos, if you separate them, di from stomos, stomos is the Greek word for mouth, literally mouth. Stomos is mouth. So di is two-mouth, hallelujah. Oh, come on, hallelujah. Shout, somebody, praise the Lord. Thank you, Jesus, amen. Two mouth. The Word of God is a two-mouth sword, hallelujah, amen.
Now, I'm not saying that this is not the Word of God, the written, and all that. But it is the Word of God more in the area if us praying in the Spirit. And it goes: "Piercing even to the division of soul and spirit". Now, many a times we ask ourself, "Is this me"? That's soul. "Or is it the Holy Spirit talking"? When you ask, "Is it me"? you're saying, "Is it my soul"? Is it the Holy Spirit? That's the Spirit. But when you pray in the Spirit, you can discern. You have a sensitivity to know this is you or this is the Spirit. It gives you that discernment to know. It divides even the soul and Spirit. It's very hard to divide soul and Spirit. You don't know where one starts and where one begins and where one ends. You do not know. When you pray in the Spirit, you become sensitive to what is of you and what is of God, coming out from you, amen? And not only that, it says: "And of the joints, piercing through the joints and marrow".
I studied on this, I look up the importance of joints and, amen, you cannot over-emphasize the importance of our joints, especially when people grow older, amen? When your joint goes, there goes your running, your walking, your ability to hold yourself up. Your joints are so vitally important. Well, when you pray in the Spirit, even you all notice, touches the area of your joints and not only that, your marrow. The bone marrow is extremely important to the immune system, because it is at the bone marrow where you have the lymphocytes, blood cells being created. The B and T lymphocytes. Therefore it's so vitally important for our immune system, and God's Spirit, amen, is able to penetrate right into your marrow and provide you the defensiveness, I mean, the immune system. God can give you the best kind of immune system, amen?
So you pray in the Spirit. It's living, it's powerful, it's that Word of God. In fact, the saying of God just now in Ephesians 6, the armor of God, is tied up with praying in the Spirit. It's not just any rhema, it's a rhema by praying in the Spirit, hallelujah, amen. Oh, man, I'm preaching myself happy. Now can you take some more? I've still got some more, amen? And this comes from, I said Revelation again, you know, from the Old Testament where it says when the son of the hated... You see, a man has two wives. One is a hated wife, one is a loved wife, back in those days. But when it comes to inheritance, amen, the son of the first wife, even though she's rejected, all right, the son must be the one who have a double portion.
Deuteronomy 21 tells us, all right, look at this part here: "He shall acknowledge the son of a unloved wife as the firstborn by giving him a double portion of all that he has, for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of firstborn is his". A double portion of all that he has. You know what I found out about this word double portion, my friend? It says shen ayin peh. That means double mouth, hallelujah, the word double portion is double mouth, hallelujah. Did you get that? Amen. No wonder Ehud, that man in the book of Judges, that man of God, took out a double-edged sword and killed the enemy of Israel, Eglon, who was a very big man, and the Bible says the knife went in, accomplished its purpose, hallelujah. A double mouth.
Remember Elisha? Elijah was about to go back to be with the Lord, amen, and Elisha knew that the time for Elijah's departure is coming and Elijah turned to Elisha and says, "What do you want from me"? And this is what Elisha said: "'Ask! What may I do for you,' Elijah asked Elisha, 'before I'm taken away from you?' Elisha said please let a double'", what? A double what? "'Portion of your spirit be upon me.'" But you know what it says in the Hebrew? Ooh, when I discovered this, I'm telling you, ooh, I had a little jiggle in my study. I was so excited, amen. A number of years ago when God unveiled this to me, I was so excited I was waiting to preach this. Never got a chance, until the Spirit of God gave me the release for today, amen. And the word there is double mouth, hallelujah. "'Please let a double mouth of your spirit be upon me,'" amen. "So he said, 'You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I'm taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so.'"
Listen, my friend, this is a picture of the tongues that is to be released in our day and age. It is not that Elisha received praying in tongues. But the idea of a double portion God hid in there something for us to see that the double portion of all that, you know, the firstborn will receive the double portion. The word double portion is double mouth. Why does God say that? Because God must esteem for us this gift highly where today, even among believers, we esteem this gift the least. We acknowledge it's the gift, either we say it's passed away, or we don't think, "Yeah, I believe it's today you can pray in tongues if you want". But we esteem it not in the way God esteems it. God esteems it as a double portion, as the firstborn inheritance. Are you enjoying your firstborn inheritance? It's a double mouth inheritance.
You know, go back to Hebrews 4:12, hallelujah. I'm so excited, I think I have to close. So I'm gonna find a landing spot somewhere here. Look at this. "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword". So the word distomos, we separate the word di, is the word double and stomos. What did I say just now? Is double mouth. Literally, it's distomos. Now, think about the word stomos. Does it remind you of something? Yes. The word stomos, Greek for mouth, is also the word stomos where we get the English word stomata, of the plant. Now, the stomata of the plant is literally the mouth of the plant. Where do you find a stomata? The stomata is the cell structure on the leaf of the plant. Under a microscope you can actually see the stomata. It looks like our lips, literally our mouth, amen?
So the stoma will open to allow the exchange of carbon dioxide and water between plant and the atmosphere, okay? And when the stomata is open, there's this exchange taking place. Now, you know, they were studying on this stoma, the mouth of the plant, literally from the Greek word stomos, distomos. Di means two, two mouth. They were studying about plants, some plants that they find in the wild that grows luscious and green and big. The trees are big. But when they bring back those seeds and plant near their city life and all that, these are experiments been done under controlled environment and all that. They found that the plants, the trees, don't grow as large as those trees in the jungle or those trees in the wild. So all the ingredients are the same. They put it under controlled environment, they give it all the necessary exchange of gases like carbon dioxide and water, amen, and sunlight to make sure it's plentiful and all that. But they tried everything, you know, the conditions.
Something is missing, because when they experiment under controlled environment, those trees and plants don't grow as large, as luscious, as green as those in the wild. Finally, they found the missing ingredient. You know what was it? The sounds of the jungle. The sounds of the wild. The sounds of the cricket, the animals, and even the surrounding winds. The special unique sounds that you find in the jungle that you don't find in this controlled environment. And those sounds, they found has an effect in opening up the stoma, the mouth of the plants where the exchange can take place. I submit to you, my friend, I believe God is teaching us that the sound of praying in tongues, the sound of praying in the Spirit, will cause our spirit man to be open to all that God has for us, to receive the gifts of the Spirit, to receive the double portion anointing that Elisha ask from Elijah, amen? And notice that that double portion came on him when he saw... You know what? Let me tell you what Elijah told him. Let's finish off that story, amen?
"So Elijah says, 'You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so.' Then it happened, as they continued and talked, there suddenly appeared a chariot of fire with horses, and separated the two of them; Elijah went up by a whirlwind. Elisha saw it, and cried, 'My father, my father, the chariot of Israel and its horsemen!' So he saw him no more. And he took hold of his own clothes and tore them in two pieces. And he took the mantle of Elijah," listen carefully. This is a picture of the Day of Pentecost, amen. When you see Jesus ascend, amen. If you see Jesus ascend, if you see the Lord ascend, what happens? The Holy Spirit comes on you. The only reason the Holy Spirit comes, remember John 7, it says: "The Spirit was not yet given at that time because Jesus was not yet glorified". And in the book of Acts it says that because the Father has glorified Jesus, he has shed forth the Holy Spirit.
So the reason we receive the Holy Spirit is because Jesus has been glorified, amen. So that's what Elijah said to Elisha: "If you see me go up, unless your eye is on me when I go up, you cannot receive. You've asked a hard thing". So what happened to us? We see Jesus glorified and what happened? We all speak in tongues. We all say, "My Father, my Father," exactly the words that Elisha cried out: "My father, my father". Eli, Eli, is what Jesus cried at the cross. Eli is my God, my God. So that you and I can say Avi, Avi, my Father, my Father, and the Bible says you can only cry my father because the spirit of his Son is in you. Wherefore we cry, "Abba, Father," why? Because of the Spirit he has shed forth the Spirit of his Son in you whereby we cry, "Abba, Father". Abba. Avi is my Father, hallelujah, hallelujah.
Friend, that's your double portion, firstborn inheritance. Don't neglect it. It is a gift of grace. It is a gift I would say that lights up all the other gifts like the menorah, you know, the Hanukkah menorah is a nine-branch candelabra. You know what they do? They take the center candle, amen, and then they light up the rest. They use the center candle. The Bible says the gifts of the Spirit manifest as the Spirit wills. But you know something? There's only one gift that you can operate as you will. You can pray in tongues any time. So it's like you take the middle candle which is pray in the Spirit and you light up the word of wisdom, you light up the word of knowledge, you light up all the nine gifts of the Spirit, hallelujah. Praise the name of Jesus. Friend, this is your inheritance.
"As for me," says the Lord. "This is my covenant with them. My Spirit that is upon you and my words that is in your mouth will not depart". It's God's covenant, new covenant, with us. It has these characteristics: the Spirit is on us, and his words will not depart from our mouth. Listen carefully, friend, I'll close with this. What was the law under the old is now the Spirit in the new. When God gave the law, what feast was that? Feast of Pentecost, the very first feast of Pentecost, Shavuot, the Jewish rabbis will tell you that. The first Pentecost, they celebrate the getting of the law. What mountain was it? Mount Sinai. What happened? Three thousand people died. Then when the Day of Pentecost, so telling, when the Day of Pentecost was fully come in the new, what happened? God gave the Spirit, not the law. We celebrate Pentecost as the giving of the Spirit, and what happened? Which mountain was it? Mount Zion, amen. The mountain of grace. And what happened? Three thousand people were saved. Over here, 3,000 people died. Over here, 3,000 people were saved.
So what is the law is now the Spirit. That changes everything, how we interpret the Bible. When we look at the Old Testament with New Testament eyes, we interpret everything through the lens of grace. We still study the Old Testament, but what we see, verses like this, Joshua 1:8 where it says: "This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth". Shall not depart from where? "From your mouth". Very familiar to Isaiah 59. Go back to Isaiah 59: "My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth". Same words. But what is the law now? What was the law then? Joshua 1:8, it says: "This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth," so we can change it to, "These words". Book means the words. "The words of the law shall not depart from your mouth". Literally, it says, "You shall meditate".
The word meditate is hagah, which is the word mutter. "Mutter in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success". So if we say, you know what we do is that, it's wrong when we teach the verse. Today we must keep Joshua 1:8: "This book of the law shall not depart". You know what they meant it on? And the intestines of the shelamim, of the peace offering, you shall lay in accordance. These are things to meditate on.
Literally, the book of the law, which means the words of the law they muttered day and night in order for them to prosper in all their ways and have good success. But today, we as new covenant people, we take this verse and we say, "The words of the Spirit," as in Isaiah 59, "shall not depart from our mouth". The more we pray in the Spirit, we'll make our way prosperous, and we will have good success. Ooh, hallelujah, amen? We don't try to keep the law. It brings us under the curse, amen. We just pray in the Spirit. And don't worry about holiness. It will be fulfilled in us. Don't worry about power. It will manifest through us. Don't worry about results, amen. You will cause the mountain to become like hills, and hills like chaff, and the wind will drive them away, amen. Praise the name of Jesus. Hallelujah.
What about Psalms 1? Let's close with Psalms 1. Shall we? It says what? "Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful, but his delight is", what? "In the law of the Lord, and in his law he" what? Same Hebrew word as in Joshua 1:8. He meditates, which is Hebrew hagah, mutter. In his law, he mutters day and night. But today when we look at this verse through the lens of grace, we say in the Spirit we pray. We pray in the Spirit, amen, day and night. And what's going to happen to us? "We will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season. It's leaf also shall not wither". That means you will stay forever young. Shall not wither means you'll be evergreen. Amen. Praise the Lord. Your stomata is all open, amen, to receive and to exchange. Hallelujah.
"And whatever you do", hallelujah, I love this, "whatever you do shall prosper". You'll not be like the person in the next verse, where he'll be like the chaff which the wind drives away. Go back to verse 3. "Whatever he does shall prosper". Just by praying in the Spirit, amen, you will have good success, you will make your way prosperous. Amen. You'll be like a tree planted by the rivers of water. The idea of water there, is rivers by the way, is the Holy Spirit. How God has hidden all this in the Old Testament.
Now again, they didn't pray in the Spirit in the Old Testament. Don't misunderstand me. We still can draw the principle of meditation, all right? I have a teaching series on meditation, which I draw from Joshua 1:8, Psalms 1 especially. The truth of meditation is still there; but I'm saying whenever we see the law, exchange it with the Spirit. If he says you must keep the law and all these commandments and all these laws and all these blessings will come on you; from now on you see law, you replace it with Spirit because what was the law in the old is now the Spirit. Not the law to keep in every part of it, but a Spirit to be followed, a divine person to be followed. And the Holy Spirit, when you follow him, he will always glorify Jesus, he will always glorify Jesus. In all the affairs of your life, he will glorify Jesus. In all that he does, he will glorify Jesus. He wouldn't glorify you, okay? He wouldn't glorify men. He will always glorify Jesus. You know how this pandemic is going to end? It's going to glorify Jesus. Amen. Praise the Lord.
We'll pray in the Spirit. And when you pray in the Spirit, he transcends the prayer. I'm not saying you can't pray in English. By all means, but pray in the Spirit first and then pray with your understanding after. Because when you pray in the Spirit, that Paul says when you speak five words, your five words will be pregnant with power, with pungency. Amen? Your five words will be anointed. They'll be spirit and life. Your five words in English will be more powerful when you pray thousands of words in tongues before you speak. Hallelujah. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Praise the name of Jesus.
I feel like some of you are watching this and you're saying, "Pastor Prince, pray for me that I may have this gift". Or you might just be saying, "Pastor, I want more of the Holy Spirit". Amen? You can always be being filled with the Spirit. Amen? You cannot have more and more, amen, or static, you know. You can always have more. You can always have more. You cannot just say, "Pastor Prince, I had the Holy Spirit one time. I spoke in tongues one time". No, it's a continuous process. Amen? Keep on praying in the Spirit. Praise the Lord. Keep on praying, praying in the Spirit, and you're wielding the sword. Amen. You are causing the glory of the Lord to shine out of you, amen, amen, for people to see, that they must be drawn to Jesus. By coming to you, they're not coming to you for you. They're coming to Jesus for the light that's shining on you. And then when you pray in the Spirit, the gifts of the Spirit will flow. Amen. And not only that, you're walking in the firstborn blessings, the firstborn inheritance. Amen? Praise the name of Jesus.
Let me pray for you. Let me say this first. Whenever people ask for praying in tongues, the language of the praying in the Spirit and all that, they always wait for some power to overtake them. You know, God doesn't do that. In fact, that's how a evil spirit does to someone, okay? He takes over. God will not take over. God wants cooperation. Amen. If you are led by the Spirit, what does it mean? If I lead my child, if my child refuse to follow, he cannot be led. It's a cooperation. Amen. It's like a dance. Amen? As you're dancing and the Lord is hosting you in the dance, amen. He leads, you follow. Amen. And ladies, this is what submission is all about. Just follow, amen, the lead. Follow, and you can resist if you want.
So the Lord wants cooperation. In other words, when I pray for you, you got to demonstrate your faith by speaking, all right? Don't let your mind tell you it's just gibberish. Just speak out. Those are elevated discourse. Amen? The Bible tells us it is elevated discourse. Amen. It is words that the Holy Spirit is uttering before God; and he cannot utter a useless word, he cannot utter a non-powerful word, he cannot utter an idle word. He is uttering words that are full of power, and the Father appreciates. It's the sounds that make all the trees that grow luscious and green, and the leaf will not wither, and whatever you do will prosper. It's the sound of heaven. Amen.
So believe that, and open your mouth by faith. So right now in Jesus's name, whoever you are right now, believe when you ask for the Holy Spirit you will not receive any other spirit. Amen? Say, "Father in Jesus's name, I receive right now the baptism of your Holy Spirit, amen, evidence by speaking in heavenly language, in Jesus's name". Now, friend, be filled with the Holy Spirit right now in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Now, start praying in the Spirit. Amen? You open your mouth and you go like this: Yeah, go on. Pray in the Spirit. God will never take you over. Amen. I'm praying. See, I can stop right now. I can start again. The Holy Spirit is a wonderful person, a gentleman. He needs your cooperation. He will give you the words, but you speak it out. Switch off your mind, your logic area for a while and let your spirit take over.
Let your mind play the subordinate role, okay? Don't allow him to dominate. Amen. The mind when he dominates gives you a lot of problems, a lot of problems because your mind dominates. Go on. Pray in the Spirit. Now, sing in the Spirit. Beautiful. Praise the name of Jesus. Now you can see. You can start anytime you want. You can stop anytime you want. You can increase your volume. When you're outside, you pray undertones like muttering, meditating. As we learned just now, meditating is muttering. But instead of the book of the law, it is the words of the Spirit. And you will make your way prosperous, and you will have good success. Amen.
Father in the name of Jesus, right now if there's an area in your life where you are hurting, your body or in your mind, or you have a headache that's not left you for a number of days, and you're having any condition... if there's a part of your body that you're being embarrassed to put your hand there, then put your hand on your head, okay? But right now we need to place your hand on the afflicted area. It's your heart, your liver, your stomach. Wherever it is, just place it, or else just place it on your head right now in the name of Jesus. Thank you, Father God, for your healing, and I thank you, Lord, for your love for everyone that's watching, Lord, right now. I know it's not by chance that they are watching this. I know you love them. You've caused them to tune in, Lord, and I thank you for it, Lord. I thank you, Lord. Yeah, there he goes. Praise the name of Jesus. Right now in the name of Jesus, you foul spirit of infirmity, lose them and let them go in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. Amen. Be healed in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
Now start doing what you cannot do before. Amen. You can't move your shoulder, move your shoulder. You can't move, like someone has a condition in your right upper arm, you move it right now, in Jesus's name and see what the Lord has done. You can't move your knee all the way up, move your knee up right now, in Jesus's name. Stand to your feet. Amen.
Someone has a spinal condition and is hurting you, especially when you're sleeping. Amen. Right now, in Jesus's name bend, bend, bend in a way that usually you feel the pain. Start bending in that way. Amen? Amen. Come on. Faith is also an act. Amen. You demonstrate your faith. Come on. Start moving, in Jesus's name. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Thank you, Lord Jesus. I see the Lord smiting a tumor until it shrivels up and disappears. Hallelujah. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen.
I see arteries, your heart arteries. You know, I see arteries that are blocked going towards your heart that's opening up right now, becoming soft, pliable, and blood supply is flowing and God is just healing your heart. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord Jesus. I hear this verse: "Wait on the Lord, and he will strengthen your heart". Literally, many of us are thinking of the spiritual, but right now it's literal. He is strengthening your heart. He's giving you a brand new heart. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen. You feel a surge of power, a surge of energy right now. That's you, in Jesus's name. Amen. You go back to the doctor and get that report, and please write to us. Let us know about it. Will you? Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen.
The Lord is still healing people right now. Receive your healing, in the name of the Lord Jesus. All kinds. Amen. And I don't want to call out just any at this time because I feel like God is doing all kinds of healings. You just move in that area. Amen. And you can't swallow but with pain, swallow right now and see what the Lord has done, in Jesus's name. Amen. Amen. Amen. Praise the name of Jesus.
Yes, tailbone pain. Come on. Come on. Sit on that tailbone right now, in Jesus's name. Someone with tailbone pain, sit on it, in Jesus's name. It has come on and off in your life quite often. It ends today, in Jesus's name. Sit on that area of your body right now, in Jesus's name, and start to have a brand new spinal bone, amen, in Jesus's name. Amen. The Lord is repairing, healing, restoring.
Eye conditions being healed right now. Eye conditions, there's what you call a floater, and the Lord is clearing your floaters. Amen. You're seeing things like worms, you know, around your eye. God is healing you of that. God is healing you of cataract. God is healing you of watery eyes and also dry eyes. Amen. All kind of eye conditions be healed. Receive that miracle right now, in Jesus's name. A gift, by the way, is not something you have to earn, but you have to receive it. Amen. If I give you a gift and you say, "You know, how much is it, Pastor Prince"? Oh, man, you insult me. Amen. If you say, "Pastor Prince, I'm not worthy for it," you still don't have it in your hand. You say, "Pastor Prince, I don't deserve it," you still don't have it in your hand. The best response, humble. True humility is to say, "Thank you, Lord," and you take it. So take it right now, in Jesus's name. Receive this renewal of youth, strength, and health in your life right now in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. Amen. Amen. Praise the Lord. Amen. Hallelujah. And start planning, start exercising as if you don't have the problem. Amen. Amen.
If you're shying going out for a walk because you have knee pains and all that, start walking, in Jesus's name. Don't be fearful. Start walking. As you walk, say, "Lord, I thank you. I have brand new knees. I thank you, Lord, my knees are healthy. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Thank you, Lord Jesus". Amen? Now, pray in the Spirit as well. Amen. Start praying in the Spirit with the area of your body. Amen. Say, "Lord, you know how to pray best about this condition. I release, Lord, in Jesus right now". And pray for it. It may take a few days. You may have to listen to this sermon again to get a lot of things that God is sharing, amen, and to hear what is that rhema word within the words that spoken today, what is just for you, in Jesus's name. Amen? Praise the Lord.
If you have not received Jesus as your personal Savior and Lord, I know you want to. I know that your heart is wanting to be that new covenant person, amen, the one that God has given all these promises that I've shared just now. Amen. Friend, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. And by that, I mean believe that on the cross Christ died for your sins, believe that on the third day God raised him from the dead because all that he did at the cross has been efficacious. Amen. God has honored what he did. And God, who is holy, who is thrice holy, who cannot excuse him, but what he cannot excuse, he can forgive, and that's what he did through the cross of Jesus Christ. And because God has forgiven, God will not remember our sins. God does not deal with you according to your sins, amen? So, you just have to believe right now on what Jesus has done. I'll help you in this prayer. Pray this prayer with me right now. Say:
Heavenly Father, I thank you for the gift of your Son, my Lord Jesus Christ. I thank you that Christ died on the cross for all my sins, so all my sins have been borne away, amen. I no longer have this condition, Lord, that I'm a sinner. I'm now born again, righteous, amen, righteous by the blood of Jesus. I thank you, Father, that you raised Jesus from the dead, as a testimony that all my sins have been put away. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. I've been born again. I'm in a new kingdom, Lord. I'm no more in the kingdom of darkness. I'm a brand-new person. Teach me more and more, Lord, what belongs to me. Teach me more and more about Jesus, your lovely Son. Amen, in Jesus' name.
And all the people said amen. Praise the Lord. I'm so excited for you, I'm so excited, praise the Lord. All right, church, stand to your feet, if you can. Praise the Lord, amen. Lift your hands, wherever you are watching this right now. Let me tell you this. We are all a church. You know, whenever I participate with all of you at home, on Sunday, at the communion and I imagine that I'm with all of you, amen. In the Spirit, we are. That's the reality. Amen? So see right now corporately all of you receiving this blessing, amen, that God taught us in the Book of Numbers, the high priest. I'm not the high priest. Jesus is the high priest, but I'm using the words of the high priest over you. And God says, "I'll put my name on them, and I will bless them".
The Lord bless you and your families throughout this week. The Lord bless you with the blessings of father Abraham, the blessings of Deuteronomy 28. The Lord make his face to shine on you, protect you and your loved ones throughout this week from every COVID-19 virus, from every infection, from every disease, from every danger, from harm, from the power of the evil one. The Lord keep you. The Lord preserve your coming in and your going out. The Lord preserve you from all evil, you and your loved ones. And the Lord shines on you and grants you an abundance of favor throughout this week. Favor of God will open doors for you, shut some doors that are no good for you. The favor of God is on you. And Lord, I thank you, Lord, that your people that are watching this right now, their health is springing forth speedily, because you are granting to them right now (receive this), the Lord bless you with shalom, wholeness, well-being, and peace, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. And all the people said amen.
