Joseph Prince - Boldness To Inherit Every Blessing
There is always something special, something good that the Father has installed for his children every time we come together in a corporate anointing. There are some things that you don't get on your own, amen. The body of Christ like, for example, the prayer that together with all the saints, we will know the length, the depth, the breadth, the height of the love of Christ.
Notice that even though we confess that and be conscious of the fact that the Lord Jesus loves us, but the revelation of the length, the depth, the breadth, the height, is with all the saints in that prayer. So, the more we get together, whether it's in a small group, even the smallest plurality, which is two. Where two or three are gathered, the smallest plurality is two. "Where two or three are gathered, there am I in the midst of them". But we know the Lord never leaves us, right? Even individually, the Lord is always with us. "Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world".
But yet there is something that happens when two or three are gathered together and how much more that we are all gathered together every week, and why on a Sunday? Because the Lord rose on a Sunday. And have you noticed that he could have actually appeared to them after he rose from the dead on a Monday, on a Wednesday, on a Thursday, but it was from Sunday to Sunday. And there was one Sunday where Thomas, one of his disciples, missed church, and he became an unbelieving believer after one absence. They told him that the Lord is risen and he said, "Unless I put my fingers into the nail prints of his hand and put my hand into his side that was pierced, I will not believe".
Then the next Sunday, have you noticed next Sunday, Jesus appeared. So, "Where two or three are gathered together, there I am in the midst of them," amen? So, he must be in our midst in a way, in a special way unlike when he manifests himself individually. There is something more powerful. And, of course, when he rose from the dead that Sunday, Thomas wasn't around. And when the Lord appeared again to him and he saw the Lord, Jesus says, "Put your fingers into my palms. I'm not a ghost. A ghost does not have flesh and bones".
So, our risen Lord has flesh bones, amen? And you and I, one day, our bodies, the Bible says our vile bodies will be transformed like his glorious body, amen? And all of us will start looking like Pastor Lawrence, amen. So, our bodies will be transformed like his body. Whatever fears you have right now, whatever disease, any deformity, any even ugliness, will all be passed away. Our bodies will be like his body, no trace of the fall and yet, unique. We'll all be good looking, amen. Praise the Lord.
So, God is good. We are waiting for that to happen and that can happen anytime now. All the signs are showing that. There's no sign for the Rapture, but there are signs to indicate that we are heading towards the end times. A lot of prophecies cannot take, the prophecies of the end times cannot take place unless Israel is back in its own land, amen? And we know that Israel's back in this land since 1948, and the Lord talks about how pray that your flight be not in the winter, and those on the housetop flee to the mountains, and all that can happen only when Israel is in her land and that's what's happening. Praise the Lord. God is good and he has goodness, only goodness, for us in the name of Jesus.
I want to share with you something that I think is gonna bless you greatly, especially if you're on this track of learning to inherit. Say, "Inheritance". That word is so rich, isn't it? Just saying the word "inheritance". When someone says, "I have received an inheritance," you know it's something good. And the Bible is full of inheritance. And the Lord does not appreciate, you can see in the Bible that he does not appreciate people who have a lackadaisical attitude or indifferent attitude towards their inheritance. And such a one as Esau.
The Bible tells us for a morsel of food Esau sold his birthright. He was the firstborn, but he refused to, to hold on tenaciously to his birthright, even though the pressure was on him. But the thing is this, the Bible mentioned him even in New Testament as someone who despise his birthright. And later on, he tried to change his father's mind. The Bible says he sought it by repentance. Actually, he sought his father's mind to change. He sought his father to change his mind about the inheritance, but he was in vain, amen? It was given to his younger brother and the Lord is behind it. The Lord knows that if you have this such an attitude towards your inheritance, might as well you don't enjoy it, amen?
So, it's not a question of whether the Lord has purchased it for us. He did so at a great cost, amen. It's a question of whether we possess our possessions, whether we walk in our inheritance, and the Spirit of God has not released me from there because he wants you to inherit all that you have, amen? Don't you feel the year pass so fast, amen? So, let's number our days that we may apply our hearts into wisdom, amen? But the Lord really wants us to use wisdom to inherit our inheritance, amen, amen? I mean, wisdom is amazing. You can be a slave.
Let's say go back in time, you're a slave in a palace, and then the queens and all that, you know? I mean, another slave girl make a mistake, and then she's stepping on her foot, her hand. Then you say that you try to release your friend from that injury and you said that, "Oh, Ms. Queen, Your Highness, you don't want to stain your shoe with her blood," right? And the Queen says, "Oh, yes," and then you release your friend, amen? So, in every area, especially inheriting our inheritance, and possessing our possessions, the Lord wants us to have wisdom and that's what he's imparting to us these past weeks.
Have you been receiving it? Have you been enjoying? In fact, many a times the Lord just release it. Even while the word goes forth, you are receiving, whether it's your healing, amen, whether it's a revelation of what you already have, whether it's impartation or a breakthrough that y'all had this week, and many of you experienced some very good things this week. They are called blessings, amen. Don't forget to pause and give him all the praise and all the glory, amen, amen? And there are things that you don't even know he protected you from and because you do not know that he did it, you didn't give him the praise.
So, let's just take a praise break for a while, amen. About 30 seconds, just lift your hands and give Jesus all the praise. Give him all the glory for all that you know about and for all that you do not know about, amen. Thank you, Lord, we give you praise, glory, and honor, hallelujah. Come on. Thank you, Lord Jesus. We give you all the honor, Lord, all the glory, all the worship, Lord, all the praise. Thank you, Lord, for all the things that you have done for us, Lord. Amen, amen. Never forget to thank the Lord for all that he's done at the cross, all right, and in his resurrection. But also thank the Lord for the day-to-day things. Learn to say, "Thank You, Lord," amen?
It's not that you are lucky, it's that you are blessed. And learn to share that with your children, pause and say, "You know why this happened? The Lord blessed us". In a world that is so ungodly, that don't want to acknowledge God anymore, right, we gotta learn to say blessed because bless connotes the idea that there is a blesser and we are the beneficiary. If they don't want, we'll take their blessings as well, amen? So, live a life where you're so blessed that your blessing is the greatest argument. No one can argue against a miracle. You experience it, you receive that healing, nobody can argue you out of it. No one can use a logic, whatever. You know what? Once I was blind, now I see, amen? And no one can argue against a true bona fide miracle from the Lord. Praise God. Praise God, because you experience it, amen.
Now, in this story about inheritance, it's from the Old Testament, it's not a story that many people preach from, but I knew about this story many years ago, even in the '90s. And I was very touched by this group of people that are so zealous for their inheritance, even though naturally by law, by the law of Moses, amen, at that time that they will under, they were not qualified. They were not allowed to receive the inheritance. We'll see the story as it goes on, okay? We'll read this from the New Living Translation Numbers 27, "One day a petition was presented by the daughters of Zelophehad". Everyone say "Zelophehad".
Okay, that's probably not the pronunciation in the Hebrew, but we'll take it, all right? Zelophehad had five girls, okay? Mahlah, Noah, not the Noah. The spelling is not the same as Noah the flood, okay, it's Noah. That's Noah, this is Noah with a softer touch. Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah. So, there are five names here. "Their father, Zelophehad, was a descendant of Hepher son of Gilead, son of Makir, son of Manasseh". I want you to focus on Manasseh, the tribe Manasseh, son of Joseph. So, there was a petition brought by these girls because their father passed away and notice that they're all from the tribe of Manasseh.
Now, this is a Numbers 27. I just wanna let you know that the Book of Numbers in your English Bible is called Numbers because, you know why? Chapter 1 opens with God telling Moses to number the tribes of Israel, to number them. So, it's called Numbers. But in the Hebrew, the title of this book is not Numbers, it's the word barmitbah, which is actually in the wilderness, amen? But it's numbers because it's called numbering. So, there was first numbering in chapter 1. All those from the age of military, all right, military age 20 and above, they are selected to be numbered.
So, they numbered them, but then when it came to Numbers 26, there was another census taken. There was another numbering taken, and this time to show to demonstrate how many lost their people 'cause God says that they will wander in the wilderness, and all those above 20 will die. So, this numbering is towards the end, and it demonstrates, not only the lost, but the increased, very interestingly, about nearly five tribes lost what they had, their population, okay? But then there was another I forgot, seven tribes that increased.
So, even though they lost, above 20 all died, that means they reproduced, get it? So, there was some tribes that lost, and they started in chapter 1 with this number, hundreds of thousands, all right, or tens of thousands rather, than here we have some of them, hundreds of thousands, but here you have lesser by Numbers 26. Are y'all with me so far? Now, some of them started with this number, all right, population. But then by Numbers 26, they had more children, obviously, during the time of the 40 years. So, their tribes increased. Are you with me so far?
Okay, it's all about inheritance. And then God said this, God said, that to the greater tribe in Numbers 26, to the larger tribe, you will get larger territory. Makes sense. A small tribe cannot handle a large territory. When the enemies come, they'll be defeated, amen? And they cannot manage the husbandry, the work, the farming work that they're supposed to till the land and take care of the land. They cannot. So, all this tells us, there are 12 tribes in one Israel and there's only one Israel, but 12 tribes, and they're all unique to each other, amen? They all stand out differently. They are different giftings.
One tribe can tell the times, amen, the children of Issachar. And then there are tribes that are able to sling with a slingshot and not miss even by a hairbreadth, the Bible says, the type of Benjamin. And they are very good with their left hand, amen? And some of the tribes, they are warriors. Some of the tribes, they are priestly. So, we have different types. So, today we have one body of Christ, but yet we have different tribes, amen? I'm glad you are from this tribe, but we love all the tribes, amen?
So, our tribe is, like it or not, they call you grace people. And some of them, it's a downer, okay? There's some of the way they say it even is a downer, but some of them, some of them, they're glad that you are part of a grace revolution, amen? So, definitely for sure, we love to be of this tribe, but we must not forget it's one Israel. There are no separate Israel. When God looks at Singapore, for example, God sees one church, amen? God doesn't see churches. We see churches, God sees one church, amen.
But there is also local church, and God knows that. God knows there's local churches. In fact, Jesus spoke to seven different churches in the Book of Revelation. One letter will suffice, but he spoke to seven, right? So, there is an acknowledgment of the way it works out. So here, you know, the Lord wants us to grow. So, like I said just now, the more we grow, the, you know, some things are very practical.
For example, in a large church, talk about chances, nothing is by chance, but in a church, the Lord works things out. It's not that you cannot have, you cannot have a chance to meet your life partner in a smaller church like ten people, 20 people, and all that. But how many know that if the church is not growing year after year, something is wrong? So, either the pastor better get on his knees and get God's blueprint, get God's paradigm, what is he missing? Like Moses did in the mountain, see that thou make everything according to the pattern is no excuse, growth is no excuse. Not growing is not an excuse.
Now, we all start the same way. A child even starts the same way, all right? A child grows up one two, three, four years old, but if he's still four years old and he's still at that stage, and then we understand. We find it cute. But he's 20 years old, he's still at that stage. It's not cute anymore. All right, we need to find out what went wrong. Am I right? Am I right? Now, having said that, please do not be critical. Do not be having a wrong attitude towards churches that are small or in terms of population. Like I said before, you know, every church is precious to God, even the smallest plurality, two are gathered, the Lord is in the midst. Can I have a good amen?
But it's an excuse to say, all right, God wants us small. Big churches are unfriendly, big churches are this. No, all right, when we meet as a care group, we don't meet all 30,000, right? We meet individually in a small place, amen. We meet in a small place. When I fellowship, usually tonight most likely I'm going for dinner. And usually when I go for dinner, I go with my band of brothers. I eat with Pastor Lawrence. I don't spend time with everybody. It's not practical. It's just simply not practical. Am I right? But it's not an excuse if year after year we're not growing. We gotta win souls.
The most loving individual that ever walked the face of the earth, he talk about hell, he talk about person in hell still alive and looking up in torment in flames. And that's why he died, he shed his blood. If it's an easy way to God, Jesus don't have to die. His death was in vain and all the sufferings that he went through. No friend, he did it because he loved us and there is a hell to shun and a heaven to gain. Praise the Lord. And Jesus shed his blood so that souls can be saved. Need to tell your colleagues, your relatives, your friends, amen.
Open the door maybe the first visit to your hair guy, you know, whoever it is that's doing your hair, or your first facial, ladies, that lady who does it down there. I mean, she could be a someone's daughter from another country that's working there. Open the door, just say something, amen, and leave a good tip. Please leave a good tip. Especially when you represent the Lord, be generous, amen? You can tell them, you know, you can invite them to church, that's one way, amen. Start the ball rolling. Tell them the Lord loves them. "Preach it, Pastor Prince, amen, hallelujah". Are y'all with me so far?
Go into all the world and preach the good news, amen. It's not just for us to enjoy me, my, my family, and you eat. It's for the world. The world is waiting, the world is crying. You say the ills of the world cannot be resolved by the arm of flesh or the wisdom of men. Can only be resolved by people being transformed inside out. The problems in America right now cannot be solved politically, cannot be solved by votes. It can only be solved by people being transformed inside out, amen, inside out. It cannot be ideology against ideology. They must be born again, amen. Praise the Lord. And all the people said, amen.
So, the tribe. Numbers 26 is about the numbering of the tribes. Then we come to Numbers 27. Okay, we are here now. Are we here? The five girls of Zelophehad came to Moses and said this, "These women stood before Moses, Eleazar the priest, the tribal leaders, and the entire community at the entrance of the Tabernacle". They said, "'Our father died in the wilderness,' they said. 'He was not among Korah's followers, who rebelled against the Lord; he died because of his own sin. But he had no sons. Why should the name of our father disappear from his clan just because he had no sons? Give us property along with the rest of our relatives.'"
Hmm, so women in those days, they don't stand to inherit, only the sons inherit, amen? Women marry the sons and they marry into the inheritance. But they, if they have no brothers, and in this case they have no brothers, only five girls, and the father had died in the wilderness. And they made sure to Moses that the father didn't die in the Korah's rebellion. Korah was the man who stood against Moses and all that and say, "Who are you to lift yourself up against the people? We are all holy, amen? Who are you to", And God, God opened up the earth and swallowed them up, amen?
So, they made sure that Moses knew that this, their father is not one of those that follow Korah, okay? So, what these girls were after, look at their passion, look at their heart, look at their faith. They were after the inheritance. They didn't have a laid back kind of attitude towards the inheritance. They wanted the inheritance, amen. So, they said this, "So Moses brought their case before the Lord". Because it's a new case, amen. I said it's a new case. Praise the Lord. And we're learning that faith possesses, faith inherits. And look at the bold simple faith of these girls. They wanted what God has given. They didn't want something else, they wanted what God has given, the inheritance. In their case, it's the land.
For us, amen, it is all there laid out in chapter 1 of Ephesians, amen. The fact that we are in Christ, we are holy, we are blameless, possess it. We have forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace, amen. This is our Promised Land, hallelujah. Not only that, with his stripes, we are healed, amen. So, bodily we can walk in health, praise the Lord, if we learn to inherit what Christ has done, amen? Our minds, he wore the crown of thorns. Why did Jesus wear the crown of thorns? He can just go straight and die for our sins at the cross.
Why must there be a crown of thorns on his head? Because God cursed the ground and when God cursed the ground, God told Adam, "This was never meant to be. God didn't create man to live under stress". But God says, "By the sweat of your face, you will eat bread". And from then on, man had to toil, man had to be in stress, and Jesus sweat blood. And when his blood and sweat mingled because of the redeeming quality of Jesus's blood, he redeemed all of us from the curse of sweat, and he wore the crown of thorns because thorns represent the curse. The ground that God says, "Cursed is the ground for your sake, Adam. And that ground, wherever you walk, I'm telling you is blessed ground".
And instead of because he wore the crown of thorns, amen, and all kinds of thorns represent all the cursed thoughts, all the dark thoughts that you have, thoughts that torment you, thoughts that rob you of joy, thoughts that rob you. Even right now, maybe you can't even focus on what I'm saying because there are thoughts that is bothering you and trying to rob you of the peace, the joy that God has. It's all in your thoughts. But I want to know Christ redeemed you from those thoughts. There are individual thorns represent individual thoughts, cursed thoughts, dark thoughts, negative thoughts, sinful thoughts. He redeemed us from it when he sweat blood. Can I have a good amen?
That's your inheritance. He was totally destitute of material goods when he hung on the cross. All the paintings, you know, cannot represent what happened at the cross. The Bible says his visage was marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men. So the way he looked was hideous. Why? He carried all kinds of goiters, tumors, and growth at the cross, and he was so hideous, the Bible says, it was beyond that of any man. His visage, his face, was so marred, more than any man, so that you can look good, man. And he was destitute of all earthly goods. One of the last things he saw at the cross was the soldiers gambling for his clothes.
You know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor that you, through his poverty, might become rich, amen? So these girls came. They wanted the inheritance. "Our father died. He has no sons. Why should the inheritance go to somebody else"? So Moses said, "Okay, this a new case. These girls are bold".
Let me tell you something about bold faith. A bold faith. Simple and bold faith is always sure to be rewarded. You can mark that down. Always, guaranteed to be rewarded. God loves it. You know why? Because it glorifies God. Simple faith, bold faith, glorifies God and God honors it. God cannot disappoint faith any more than he can deny himself. God loves bold simple faith. He loves to be trusted and I say this reverently because it's true. God loves to be used. We worship God but God wants us to use him.
That's what Jesus meant when he says, "I'm the bread of life". What do you do with bread? "I am the fountain of living water," amen. What do you do with water? "I am the light of the world". What do you do with light when you are in the dark? Use it. Use it. 'Cause he knows or else you'll start using your own brains, your own smarts, somebody else's smarts, somebody else's devices, somebody else's inventions, you know? He doesn't want that. He's jealous over you with love. God loves to be trusted and he loves to be used. When somebody uses power, he stop, he turns around. "I wanna see that person who used my power. I wanna see who is that person".
He loves to be trusted. He loves to be used. You use me, I'm depleted. You use the Lord, it's as if he's reinvigorated, amen? So, Moses brought this case before the Lord and it's a brand new case. The Lord loves it. And this is the Lord's answer: "The Lord replied to Moses, 'The claim of the daughters of Zelophehad is legitimate.'" The New King James says: "They speak right". Noble words. Words that go right up to heaven, to the throne, to the very heart of the God of Israel. God loves it. God loves bold and simple faith. And these ladies had it.
And, drop down, this is what God said, moreover, "And give the following instructions to the people of Israel". God is still talking. "If a man dies and has no son, then give his inheritance to his daughters". Because of the daughters of Zelophehad, this law was put in place, amen? See, faith transcends the law and reaches to the heart of God. Time and time again, you know, must I show you from the sacred book, this holy volume, you know, page after page of the Abrahams, of the Sarahs, of the Deborahs, of the Rahabs, of the Marys, of the Syrophoenicians, that is Old and New Testament, time and time again, how faith transcends time and space and how faith brings God's answer into the here and now. They all inherit, amen?
So the daughters of Zelophehad. Now, God says, "If he has no daughter either, transfer his inheritance to his brothers. If he has no brothers, give his inheritance to his father's brothers," amen. "But if his father has no brothers, give his inheritance to the nearest relative in his clan," all right? The kinsmen redeemer. And "This is a legal requirement for the people of Israel, just as the Lord commanded Moses". By the way, this is the very beginning of the laws that we have today, you know, that give women the right to the husband's property when the husband pass on or a father's property, even though the father has no sons. Thank God for the daughters of Zelophehad. Can I have a good "Amen"? Inheritance.
Are you all hungry for what has been bought for you? At a great cost. What Jesus went through was terrible but he did it for you and I, amen? He did it at a great cost because he loves us. And the Lord loves. You see, you cannot, your faith when you don't always, never have this feeling that God will scold you for your bold faith. How dare you draw from me? How dare you ask such a big thing, you know? There's no rebuke in the Bible, in the Gospels, when Jesus rebuke his disciples, it's never, "You ask too much". We see kings doing that in dramas, amen? Even kings will say that: "You ask too much. You ask for my daughter's hand," or something like that, you know, amen?
Pastor Prince might say that: "You ask too much," amen? I've only one daughter, you see? Amen. The rebukes that Jesus rebuke his disciples with in the Scriptures and there's more than one time he did it, is always, "O you of little faith. Oh, you of little faith". Even that is an encouragement when you know that he's telling you faith is the hand that takes; he's telling you what? Why do you take so little? Why do you take so little from me? It's never, "Oh, you of great faith. You ask too much". It's always, "Oh, you of little faith. Oh, you of little faith".
Wherefore, if God so clothed the grass of the field, which today is here, God cares for the lilies of the field and God cares for the daffodils, the roses, the beautiful flowers, that is here today and gone tomorrow. If God cares for them and God feeds the birds of the air, how much more will he clothe you? How much more will he care for you? "Oh, you of little faith," amen? And that was why you take so little? Why you trust me so little, amen. Even as I speak right now, I'm trying to say, "Lord, let me finish the sermon," because the Lord is healing people already, amen?
And I want those of you with a back condition, right in the center of the small of your back, can you see here? Right here. All right, the Lord's been healing back conditions quite often and you are here. I see you, and there's someone else. You have this back condition. When you sit down, your tail bone after some time gives you pain, all right? Will you stand to your feet right now in Jesus's name, amen. And don't leave just yet, all right? I'm not saying, "Stand up and go back, amen". Are you the one?
Now, do you have pain in your tailbone after some time? And sit down there. I need a sister beside her to just lay hands on her back if you can, a sister, yeah. Just lay hands on her back. Anybody else, Circle Two? Great, I see you. All right, over there, okay. Way up there. All right, all right, praise the Lord. Now, first of all, we're gonna pray for those with the right in the center of your back, you have the pain. Now anyone has the pain right now? Right now you have the pain? You have the pain right now. All right, some have this condition only happen after some time, on, off during the day. So if you have it right now, will you just wave. The gentleman over there, yes, do you have the pain right now?
Father, in the name of Jesus, touch him, Lord, right now. Yeah, place your hand on the back, sir. In Jesus's name, I release that healing right now in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Lord, thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord, that by your stripe every vertebra in that area is restored. I pray, Father, that all of this is in place. I pray, Father, that any degeneration is now regenerated in Jesus's name. Do a creative miracle, Lord, on his back in Jesus's name, amen, amen, amen. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord.
Sir, will you move around, bend, bend, move around, move around, move around. Oh, you can move. I love it. Yup, how is it, sir? How is it? Praise the Lord. Now, have you been told that it is something that is degenerating? Have you been told by a doctor? Have you had it examined? What I saw just now when I prayed for you is that God is renewing you. You have a brand new one now. All right, then, no wonder you can move, brother. Praise the Lord, thank you, Lord. And I pray for the rest of them, Father, in Jesus's name. Right now, release your healing, Lord.
Now, start moving, people. Even though you can feel the pain now, all right, know that God is healing you now, amen. And it will not come back in Jesus's name, amen, amen, amen. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord. Thank you, Lord Jesus. You may be seated. I believe you have received. Thank you, Lord. Now, many of times we know it because people are feeling the pain and the pain leaves so they know that they receive but sometimes there are cases like this where they can't tell they have that pain because they're not experiencing, they can't tell they are healed because they don't have the pain at that moment so you write to us.
Please let us know, okay? We like to hear the reports of what the Lord has done. This is what the Lord has done so give him the praise and all the glory, amen? You cannot talk about inheritance without this happening, okay, amen? I want every parent of a child, I see a child trembling with fever and came to a place where the child trembled. I think it was either very recently this morning or yesterday, it happened, and if you are that parent, will you please stand to your feet and the child has high fever and you are very concerned.
In fact, you came here in faith, all right? Whoever you are, will you just stand to your feet and the Lord's gonna heal that child by proxy, okay, just where you stand. All right, help me look out for any. All right, this can also apply to anybody out there in the different venues that are watching, okay? Because don't forget, they are also part of us, our church, amen? Sister over here that's standing. All right, is it a child? I see a small child.
Lawrence: Her grandson.
Joseph Prince: And what's wrong with him?
Lawrence: He had high fever yesterday.
Joseph Prince: And he was trembling?
Lawrence: And trembling.
Joseph Prince: All right, he's the one. And I see him in the bed and he was trembling and I see the family very concerned. The Lord says he's healing him. And we send that Word right now, Father, in Jesus's name and I thank you, Lord, that the boy's well. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, thank you, Father, completely well in Jesus's wonderful name. The Lord tells me to tell you, "Tell the boy's father and mother". How old is the boy?
Lawrence: One year old.
Joseph Prince: That there's a call of God on that boy's life all right? I feel that there's a call of God on the boy's life. And it's not the first time that he's been having physical problems. There's been quite a few attacks. Am I right? Verify that.
Lawrence: Yes, that's right.
Joseph Prince: Okay. There's a call on his life and the devil can sense angelic activities. There's a warfare going on so pray for the child. Every night cover the child with the blood of Jesus. Say, "I cover the child with the blood of Jesus," amen. Don't worry. There's more with us than with them, amen? They're angelic beings, more, and greater is he that's in you than he that's in the world. This child will live and the child will grow strong in wisdom and stature, in favor with God and man, amen, amen? Praise the Lord, praise the Lord. You can be seated. Praise the Lord. Thank you, Lawrence.
Lawrence: First two in the second tier.
Joseph Prince: All right, thank you.
Male: Two grandchildren, high fever this morning.
Joseph Prince: Both?
Male: Yes.
Joseph Prince: Okay, I wanna pray for them as well in Jesus's name. I saw one child but you're saying two of them, both, down. Are they shivering? High fever?
Male: No.
Joseph Prince: No, that was the one that I prayed for. But never mind, we'll pray for them as well, okay? Father, in Jesus's name we send your word of healing and restoration right now to those children. In Jesus's name, we command those fever to leave in the name of the Lord Jesus, complete healing in Jesus's name, amen. Praise the Lord. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord, amen. So we thank God for these ladies. Had it not been for them, what if they did not come forward? What if they did not demonstrate bold and simple faith or passion to want to inherit their inheritance?
All the daughters of Israel from then on, in like situation, would have been robbed of their portion, amen? But because of them, there is a new law now and the law will cause any daughters who don't have brothers, amen, to inherit from the father. So I thank God that bold faith has consequences that you don't even see down the road. Now, I didn't start this story just to tell you all this for no reason. Do you remember that the kings of Israel from Solomon onwards, Solomon's son, Rehoboam, say, "Rehoboam". He made a big mistake. He didn't have hesed wisdom like his father had. He listened to the counsel of his young men that told him to talk tough.
You've gotta talk tough, man, but the older counselors stole Rehoboam and these older counselors were the ones around the hesed wisdom of Solomon. They were the ones listening to the wisdom of Solomon. And yet, the son, all right, sort of like sought for new counsel from the younger guys and they told him to be tough. It's the same story. The older one says, "Be gentle with the people. Speak kindly to them," all right? "Keep touch with them. Relate to them kindly, love them".
Sounds very simple, doesn't it, right? And these are the people that were around the wisdom of Solomon when Solomon was alive. Today is the same thing. "Ah, man, just talk tough, man. Blankety-blankety-blank, man, blank. If you talk blank, blank, blank, you know, people will think you are tough. People will think you are cool". Not cool. You cannot control your tongue, you can't control anything. The Bible says: "He who has a cool spirit is a man of great understanding". The Bible says that. Check out the NASB, in the Hebrew is a cool spirit. The Bible talk about a cool spirit.
The Bible talks about he that can overcome his anger, is better than he that takes a city. Is better than Napoleon, he is better than Alexander the Great. He's better than all the conquerors and all the heroes of World War II, amen. All over the world, all the heroes, they are heroes nonetheless, but what makes someone greater than them? Someone who conquers his temper. So self-mastery through Christ is more important than winning a city, as far as God is concerned, amen? It makes a person greater than all the heroes. That's what the Bible says. It's better than he that takes a city, amen.
So I'm here to tell you, all right, that wisdom is so important, so vital, so anyway, Rehoboam listened to the counsel of young men and then the people came back and says, "Forget it. We'll start our own kingdom". So they divide it into two. Now say this: Kingdom of Israel, kingdom of Judah. So Judah is smaller. The ten tribes started their own kingdom in the north of Israel, okay, and they had their own capital and then those were faithful to Solomon and David. They were faithful to Solomon's son, and they were Benjamin and Judah, okay? So we have two kingdoms now, kingdom of Israel and kingdom of Judah.
So when you read your Bible in 1 Kings and Chronicles and all that, the story is all about either the kings of Israel who usually are evil, the northern kings, they are usually very evil, amen, or the kings of Judah. Now, Judah, most of them are good kings, kings that walk in the ways of his father David, the Bible says, amen? But there are also exceptions. There are also kings that were wicked in Judah. And one of them towards the end, before Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon came to take all Israel away into captivity for 70 years, before the final gavel came down, God's judgment. God told them time and time again. God sent prophets, even the weeping prophet, Jeremiah, warning them, warning them, warning them.
Finally, in the reign of Jehoiakim, he was so wicked, so evil that God says, "Even though you're a signet ring on my finger, I'm gonna throw you out," and that's literally what happened. You'll be buried with the burial of a donkey. Now, that is an oxymoron because donkeys don't get burials. They don't have funerals. The word there is "funeral," I should say. They don't get funerals. No one comes to their funeral, okay? Just bury them, that's it. So he said, "You'll die like that". And true enough, he died. His body was left out in the cold to rot, all right? That's Jehoiakim. He was not buried with his fathers. He was a very wicked king.
Now, he had a son that took over, also a wicked king. His name was Jeconiah. Now say, "Jeconiah". Okay, Jeconiah was so wicked like his father, same thing happened to him. Now, during his time, he is the last king of Judah. Now, let me just qualify this because I know scholars are watching this and all that. I just want to say this. You will say Zedekiah is the last king of Judah. Yes and no. The last king, all right, was actually Jeconiah, right, but what happened is that Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon came, took him captive into Babylon. And then the king of Babylon wanted to put a king of his own choice, a puppet king if you would, so he chose Jeconiah's uncle, Jehoiakim's brothers. His name was Zedekiah, all right? To take care of the land for the king.
In other words, he was just a puppet king. Whatever I say, you do, amen? So, he instituted him in place to take care of the affairs of the land of Israel. And the real king was taken into captivity in Babylon, Jeconiah, so effectively he is the last king. Are you all with me so far? Now, Jeconiah was so wicked during his time that Jehoiakim, his father, and him were wicked, that God pronounced a curse. God pronounced a curse on him, and this is what God said through the prophet Jeremiah. "O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the Lord"! You never find this repeated like this. Only in this particular curse it's repeated. "O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord: 'Write this man down as childless, a man who shall not prosper in his days; for none of his descendants shall prosper, sitting on the throne of David, and ruling anymore in Judah.'"
So God says none of his descendants will prosper. Now, the world "childless" it's a Hebrew word, not "no ben". A "ben" is a son. It's not the word "ben". It's another word altogether. It's referring to the fact that Jeconiah has no sons. He has seven sons, but God is saying none, what it means "childless" is heirless. There'll be no one to sit on the throne from his loins. Are you all with me so far? What has this gotta do with daughters of Zelophehad? I'm coming to it. Patience, bro. If you can muster that, you are better than he who takes a city, amen?
All right, so, "None of his descendants shall prosper". What it means is this, "None of his descendants shall prosper sitting on the throne of David". That's what it means. That means there'll be none from his loins that will succeed in sitting on the throne of David, which is the Father's throne, which is David's throne. Are you with me so far? So, God promised David that his throne is forever. Now, this is a quagmire or whatever you wanna call it, you know? The fact is that God says the throne of David is forever. Who do we know that is gonna sit on it forever? Jesus. He will sit on the throne of David.
"But Pastor Prince, he's already sitting on the throne". No, the Lord Jesus says he's gonna come and sit on his throne and judge the 12 tribes of Israel and judge the world. There'll be a throne on earth. That's the throne of David in Israel. Jesus will sit on it. The throne that Jesus is sitting on right now is found in the book of Revelation. It's called, "Even as I overcame and I'm sat down on my Father's throne". Jesus is sitting down on his Father's throne, at the Father's right hand. That throne is not throne of David. That's the Father's throne, but Jesus is gonna come back one day and he's gonna take his rightful place as King on the throne of David. We're all waiting for that day, amen?
Whether you like to go to Israel or you don't like to go to Israel, you are going. You are going. You're gonna go see the King, man, amen? I'll tell you where my house is gonna be. My house is gonna be where I can just touch the water like this, you know? It's all green, it's very nice, you know? You know the place I'm talking about? Okay, anyway, Barnea. We had a poster once, right, of, "He shall be like a tree, planted by the rivers of water," right? We gave it to you all free, right? Beautiful, I mean, I took it live, you know? I was there, you know?
Then the next time we gave it again, they removed my picture. You all remember that? The second version, right, has been touched up. It's evil. I don't know why they did that but they removed my picture from it, all right? That is a lie. That's a misrepresentation. But anyway, I still have the first version with the original one, by the way. Why did I say all that? Anyway, back to this. We're all gonna have our portion in heaven, amen? No, sorry, in Israel. We're gonna have it in heaven as well, as well as in Israel, amen?
We'll be in Israel, but the whole earth is ours. And we can just, bang, we are here in Switzerland, all right? Just think it, bang, you are here, back in Singapore. Singapore will be different then, amen? Will we still have char kway teow? Char kway everything, bro. Everything's gonna be there, amen? Amen? No pork. "I can't take it, Pastor Prince". Your tastes will change then, all right? Porky won't be there, amen?
Okay, so, "None of his descendants shall prosper". Come on, focus, focus, people, come on. And the idea of childless is not no child; no heir to sit on the throne. He had seven sons, but none of them sat on throne. By the way, do you know that from then on until today, there's no king in Israel. And God designed it that way. But the moment God pronounced the curse, I think the corridors of hell, you know, you can see them jumping up and down because, you know why? Jesus will have to come through the tribe of Judah. And Jesus will sit on the throne of David.
All the prophets had gone on before, but now there's a curse. None of his seed will sit on the throne. But how many know that in the wisdom of God, that kind of rejoicing is premature? Now you turn to your Bible, before we close. We'll bring this to a close. Look at Matthew chapter 1. "The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham". Now, it should say, all right, "The Son of Adam". It should start from Adam, right? But it didn't start from Adam.
Now, there are two genealogies in the four Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. There are two genealogies. One is in Matthew that points to Jesus's kingship. The other one is in Luke that points to his manhood. In Luke's genealogy, it goes all the way to Adam, but Matthew's Gospel is written especially to the Jews to show them that Jesus Christ is Yeshua HaMashiach. He is the Messiah and he is their rightful King. So, it starts with the Son of David, even though David came after Abraham, because it's a book written to establish the rightful claims of the true King of Israel.
So, it says, "Son of David, Son of Abraham". David the throne, Abraham the land. The inheritance is all there. So, it points to Jesus. "Abraham begot Isaac, Isaac begot Jacob, and Jacob begot Judah and his brothers," and on and on. All right, all the way to Salmon, okay? Salmon, drop down to Salmon. "Salmon begot Boaz by Rahab". Rahab, remember the story of Rahab? "Boaz begot Obed by Ruth," story of Ruth. Probably my favorite book of the Bible, all right, story of the Bible is Ruth. "Obed begot Jesse, and Jesse begot David the king. David the king begot Solomon by her who had been the wife of Uriah".
Okay, let's drop down because of time. "Josiah," now these are all the kings of Judah. "Josiah," King Josiah, a good king, all right, "begot Jeconiah and his brothers about the time they were carried away to Babylon". So, we find that God blot out one name, Jehoiakim, all right? Just like what God says, "I'll blot out his name. I'll throw out the signet ring". But his son that was cursed is mentioned here for a purpose, Jeconiah. Remember Jeconiah? "Write this man," what? Heirless. None of his descendants will sit on the, but he's in the genealogy of Jesus Christ. Uh oh, what now?
So, "About the time they were carried away to Babylon," he was the last king. Can you see that? "And after they were brought to Babylon, Jeconiah begot Shealtiel". You see, he had sons. And by the way, Shealtiel is the father of Zerubbabel, the governor in the story of Nehemiah. Remember Zerubbabel. Now, Zerubbabel actually has a rightful claim, right, to the throne, but there were no more kings from then on. There were no more kings. Are you with me so far?
So from here, the line came down all the way to Joseph, all right? "Jacob begot Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus who is called Christ," Messiah. Now, this lineage is from Solomon. Both genealogy, Matthew and Luke, is from Solomon. Sorry, from David. I should say David. David had a son called Solomon. This one was Jacob. Let me show you the illustration, okay? Look at this. King David, he had a son called Solomon. From Solomon's line came Jeconiah, one of the kings that was cursed, and then Joseph. Joseph was not the flesh and blood, not the blood father of Jesus, right? We can say he's the adopted father, right? But Joseph came from the line, so actually Joseph is a king, isn't it? But they were living in humble Bethlehem, Nazareth and Bethlehem. Look at this. He has the regal right of the throne of David, Joseph. Are you with me so far?
Then we come to David, through Nathan. He had another son called Nathan. Say, "Nathan". Now, Nathan didn't become king. His brother, Solomon, became king, but Nathan's line, if you follow Nathan's line in the Gospel of Luke, it came all the way to Heli, the father of Mary, and Heli begot Mary, the mother of Jesus. Okay, so we have Mary. So, Mary has the legal right.
So, there are two claims to the throne of David, am I right? Am I right? But here's where it gets very interesting. If Jesus inherits from Joseph, if Joseph provided the blood, we all know that that's why the necessity for the virgin birth. If Jesus inherited the blood of Joseph, if there was no virgin birth, then Jesus cannot sit on the throne because that bloodline has been, you got it. Are you with me so far? But because of the daughters of Zelophehad, a virgin has a claim because of the daughters of Zelophehad. The virgin has a claim to the throne, and yet in name, she has a claim on the husband as well. But no blood, therefore Jesus evaded the curse and still become the rightful king of the throne of David.
Isn't this the wisdom of God? A bold and simple faith of five girls, never knew how it all goes, it's all about Jesus, people. The Bible, when you study the Scriptures and you know it's all about Jesus, when you study the Scriptures, you'll see that it all goes to the Lord, amen? Gives a new meaning to the meaning, "Round yon virgin". He went around it. And that's why the necessity for a virgin birth, because now medical science tells you that, even the virgin, she's fallen. Hello, there's sin in Mary's blood. But now medical science tells us that the mother does not give any of her blood to the baby, amen?
All the nutrients, the food, goes to the baby. The baby's blood, Jesus's blood was determined by the Father, and yet he probably has some of the looks of Mary. Obviously Jesus is not fallen body, so he looks perfectly handsome, altogether lovely. Until he was made, "There was no beauty in him," Isaiah 53, "that we should desire him". His visage was marked more than any man, all right?
Imagine someone who has no trace of sin in their blood, and that's why the virgin birth is important, because if there's sin in your blood, the devil has a claim. The devil can stop it. The devil can, but there was no blood from Mary into Jesus, and yet Jesus was rightfully born of her. And with a claim of the law of the daughters of Zelophehad, she has a claim now on her husband's, amen, line, a double claim. And you know something else? No Jew today can say that, "I'm the rightful king of Judah. I'm the promised king".
No one can say that. You know why? In A.D. 70, all the records of the genealogy were all burned down by the Romans. When they burned Jerusalem, all the records were burned down. The only record we have now of all the genealogy is in the Gospel of Matthew and the Gospel of Luke. It's preserved for all times, amen, so that we'll know who's the rightful King. Come on, church. Come on, hallelujah. Hallelujah! Give Jesus the praise.
So, you never know. When you have a bold and simple faith and you ask God, "God, I know I have a choice to make, but I'm gonna trust you for this, Lord. I'm gonna trust you for that," God loves it. And God loves it when you go to him, and again, and again. Devil will say, "Don't you think you've come to God too many times for that kind of thing"? but God says, "I love it". Don't listen to the voice of the enemy. A bold and simple faith. Faith can never overdraw on its account in God's bank. Can never overdraw. God loves it.
So, have a bold and simple faith, and you'll never know the consequences on your children, and on your children's children, and it will have far-reaching consequence, amen? Bold faith takes the land, takes the inheritance, amen, and blesses multitudes. Praise the Lord. Give Jesus the praise, the glory, and the honor. Hallelujah, every head bowed, every eye closed. I want you to know that every miracle that happened, happens outside time, outside space.
What I mean by that is that when you hear a blessing pronounced, there was a gentleman that was listening to my sermon that was preached like a year ago or something like that, some time back. And I mentioned someone was healed of a back condition, and I snapped my fingers, and he was suffering for years, ever since he was a boy, from a back condition, an injury. And the injury, the pain is so bad sometimes he cannot even move. And now he's in his mid-30s when he wrote it, or 40s. It's in one of my books.
He shared that when he watched that broadcast and I said, "God is healing someone," and I snapped my fingers, he said all the pain left instantaneously, and he cried and cried. He moved around, he bent, he jumped, he twisted his body. Years and years of agony and excruciating pain left. He called his wife immediately, and by the time he wrote the testimony, some time has passed. He says his healing is permanent. He's gone back to exercise. He's running around with his children, carrying them.
Friend, there's no time or space restraint when God gives a Word. Or even the teaching itself is outside time and space. It applies today, it applies 10 years from now, applies 20 years from now, whatever has been said. Or you are watching this maybe in the privacy of your own home, or maybe you are watching this, like the testimony of the guy we heard Pastor Lawrence share about. He was incarcerated and he watched my broadcast in prison.
It doesn't matter when you watch it, the Word is now. The Word is for you. And right now, friend, if you are watching this and you have never put your trust in Christ, and in Christ alone for your salvation, I believe that it's not perchance that God allowed you or God orchestrated for you to watch this. Pray this prayer with me from you heart and you'll be born again. You'll be the righteousness of God in Christ. You'll be a brand new creation. Say this,
Heavenly Father, I thank you that Christ died for my sins on the cross and I believe that that blood, that precious blood, has cleansed me from every sin. I have forgiveness. Not going to have it, I have it for all my sins, past, present, and future through the blood of Christ. Jesus Christ is my Lord and he's raised from the dead. He's alive today to be my Shepherd, my Protector, my King, my God. In the name of the Lord Jesus, amen.
Stand to your feet. If you prayed that prayer, my friend, you are now born again, amen? No more worm in a cocoon, I should say, but now a butterfly, free to soar, amen. Lift your hands all across this place. The Lord bless you this coming week. The Lord bless you with the blessings of Father Abraham. The Lord bless you with every blessing, amen people? Not even a hair, breath, missing out on any of the inheritance.
Father, I pray that you will manifest, Lord, that in a special way, Lord, this week for your people. And also, protect your people from every danger, they and their families, Lord, and theirs. Protect them from every danger, harm, accident, tragedy, terror, from disease, from all the powers of darkness, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, in Jesus's name.
The Lord favors you. You have the favor of God. Because you have the favor of God, doors that are closed will be open to you. Doors that you're not supposed to walk in will be closed to protect you. You have favor everywhere you go and the blessing of the Lord is mighty on you, in Jesus's name. Therefore, go around saying, "I am blessed". And remember to tell the world Jesus saves, amen? God bless you all. I'm gonna see you all again. Love you all.
