Joseph Prince - Jesus Came to Heal, Not Condemn
This is an excerpt from: Be A Carrier Of God's Love
Let go of your worries and anxieties. He will take care of you. He loves you. One by one, just bring that anxious thought, that worrisome care, and just say, «Lord, here, I throw it to you». Let it go for he cares for you. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord, for your wonderful presence. Okay, listen. There’s a lady here and the Lord is touching you in your back. Now this is what you’ve been told by the doctor. It is somewhere in the small of your back and there’s another lady that I’ll call up but for this one it’s right in the middle of your back, slightly lower down in the middle of your back, and the doctors have said that your condition, you’re feeling pain there most of the time, and the doctors have said that it is, he used the word «degenerative,» that’s what he has said. It’s a degenerative condition. Your disc has degenerated. But tonight the Lord says, «Regenerated».
In the name of Jesus Christ I rebuke that condition in the name of Jesus, and in the name of the Lord Jesus I call forth a creative miracle of regeneration for that disc, for that condition in Jesus’s name, amen. Now start bending, start doing whatever you can do before with pain, now do it. Do it, okay? Do it. Amen, amen. Praise the Lord. Give Jesus the praise, the glory, amen?
Now listen, there’s a liver condition. You’ve just been diagnosed with some liver condition. If I’m not mistaken, there seems to be a growth and they see spots. If that is you, if that speaks to you, whoever you are, stand to your feet. Father, in the name of Jesus, I speak a creative miracle, Lord, to that liver in Jesus’s name. It will not degenerate. It will not become worse. In the name of Jesus, I command every spot to be removed. I command the growth to be removed and to be thrown into the sea. In the name of the Lord Jesus, I speak a creative miracle, a new liver in Jesus’s name, amen, amen. Give him all the praise. Who healed you tonight? Who touched you tonight? And the only reason he touched you and healed you is because he loves you.
Now I can’t shake this off. It’s been coming to me again and again. There are a few of you, the devil has been attacking you and you’ve been feeling dizzy during the day. And now fear has entered your heart. You’ve been very concerned that it is something more sinister, your condition. But you’ve been feeling dizzy lately, during the day. You find yourself like, you know, a vertigo dizziness. And it’s an attack from an enemy, a spirit. We’re going to rebuke that spirit in your life. Would you just stand? There are quite a number of you. If you’ll stand, you’ll find deliverance. Just stand to your feet. You’ve been feeling dizzy. And you’ve been concerned about your condition, stand to your feet. Thank you, Lord. Father, in the name of Jesus, once again, Lord, glorify your Son Jesus. Thank you, Lord.
Now listen, there are many conditions that you find I did not rebuke the spirits because sometimes it’s just organic, the Lord just heals it. You rebuke the condition, but sometimes you rebuke the spirit behind it. Let me tell you this, this spirit is running loose. It’s the power of the enemy, making you feel that you are getting old, something is wrong with you, something wrong with your brain. But I’m here to tell you, it’s the work of the evil one, amen? Don’t you believe one bit. You are okay. So right now, in the name of Jesus, I come against this foul spirit that’s been making you feel this dizziness and I rebuke that spirit in the name of the Lord Jesus and I command him to loose his hold upon your life and go into the deep. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen, be free in the name of Jesus. Be loosed from this bondage in the name of Jesus, amen, amen.
I speak a creative miracle upon your brain. If you want that, you can stand to your feet. If you want to receive, you know, revival of your memory faculties. You’re afraid, yes, afraid of dementia, afraid. Why? There are so many people. Okay, might as well take advantage of it, amen? Yeah, now Pastor Lawrence feels justified to stand up as well. He was waiting, waiting. Now many of you, you are okay, all right? You just forget things, you forget names, you know, you forget places. There’s nothing wrong with you. But some of you are really afraid that you are suffering from really fear, fears of dementia. I’m telling you, in Jesus’s name, there’s a spirit, it’s a work of a spirit telling you that you’re getting old, you’re gonna lose your mind. No, God has not given you a spirit of fear but of power, listen, and of love and of a? Of a? Of a? Everyone shout to Pastor Lawrence. «Sound mind,» amen.
Now, praise the Lord. Father, we thank you, Lord, you’re a God who lives in a timeless zone. We thank you, Father God, that regardless of what physical heritage in our genes that we have received, Lord, from our Father through the line of the first Adam, we thank you that it’s no longer true for us. We thank you that every curse, every generational curse, has been destroyed by the blood of Jesus. We belong to the second Adam. We thank you, Father God, that as he is, so are we in this world. So we rebuke this lie in Jesus’s name and you, foul spirit, lying to us, we command you now to loose us and let us go in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Now say this: «I speak a creative miracle to my memory faculties, to all my mental faculties. I speak regeneration to my brain in the name of Jesus,» amen! Amen! Young people, young people, shout. Young people, shout. If you are young, young people, hallelujah! Amen, you may be seated. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.
I want to call your attention to this. One time when God opened my eyes to this, it was really something that I saw like a flash. And it was this word here. God says, «After you know God, or rather are known of God,» in Galatians 4, «Now after you have known God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage»? The whole context of Galatians 4 and the book of Galatians is that the Galatian Christians are going back to the law. Now here, what does he call the system of the law? Weak and beggarly.
So the Lord told me one time, look up the word «weak and beggarly». Guess what? When I look at the word «weak,» it’s not just the word «weak». It is exactly the Greek word used for when Jesus healed the sick, when Jesus touched the disease and they were made well. It’s used throughout the four Gospels for the sick. In other words, the system of the law, if you come under it, it will produce what? Sickness. And the next word, «beggarly». Guess what? When I look at the word «beggarly,» it’s the same word used for beggars. And you know the story of the blind Bartimaeus? Blind Bartimaeus who has no name, all right? His name is not Bartimaeus. «Bar» is son of Timaeus, all right? He’s the blind son of Timaeus. We don’t know what is his name, amen?
So he has no name and he has no money and he has no health. He was blind, he was poor. And the Bible says when he called for Jesus, the one who stopped the sun and the moon during the time of Joshua, by him all things were created. And now he is exalted far above all principality and power and might and dominion over every name that is named, full of grace and truth. He came into this world, amen, with all the grace that God can fill in a human body. God gave him the Spirit without measure. This one, amen, stopped at the cry of a beggar. This blind son of Timaeus, the King of heaven, stopped in his tracks. He turned around, «Bring him here,» opened the eyes of the blind. I’m here to tell you, the word «beggar» there is the same word for this one. So which means what? The system of the law will make you sick and broke. Are you listening, people?
Okay, «Pastor Prince, does that mean that if someone is sick and they are broke, that means…» No, no, no, no, no. That’s the first thing you need to learn about healing, all right? When someone is sick, you never ask the question, «Who sinned»? All right, show them John 9. All right, John chapter 9. You’re John 9, that’s right. «Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. And His disciples asked Jesus, saying, 'Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind? ' Jesus’s answer was, 'Neither this man or his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.'»
When you see a situation that needs God’s help, God’s intervention, amen, just know this situation exists and I’m in front of it so that I can bring God’s supply to it. That’s it. That’s all you need to know. This person happened to be in front of you… us now. Just know this, all right? Bring God’s supply to the person. So Jesus’s approach is always, «but that the works of God». Don’t ask this man’s sin or that man’s sin, all right, or his parents' sin, but that the works of God. So when you see a need, all right, bring the supply, amen. Why do you think God brought this person in front of you? «Uh, for me to criticize»? Why do you think? That you might pray for him, amen? Can I have a good «Amen»?
Okay, now, Luke chapter 5 now. Luke chapter 5. The next thing you need to know about healing is this. The next thing you need to know. «Now it happened on a certain day, as Jesus was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee,» wow. «Out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem». You need to know something, because the backdrop of this story is that this is in Capernaum and I can show you the house. It’s a Catholic building now over Peter’s house near the synagogue. And that’s the place where they lowered the man later on. But why is it that every doctor of the law, every Pharisee out of every town that’s mentioned here, came to Capernaum? Why? Because for the first time in history, a Jewish man was cleansed.
When Jesus came down the mountain, Jesus says, «I will. Be thou cleansed». And Jesus says, «See that you go and present the sacrifice that Moses commanded as a testimony to the priests». For the first time, there is a law in the book of Leviticus that was never used that when a leper is cleansed, these are the procedures. But no leper was cleansed in Israel. Now you’re thinking of Naaman. Naaman wasn’t Israeli. He was a Syrian. So finally when Jesus cleansed the leper in Capernaum, Jesus says, «Go and bring the gift, go to the priest as a testimony to them».
What a testimony. They said this man was cleansed. And one of the signs they are waiting for is that the Messiah will cleanse the leper and open the eyes of the blind. That is what they are waiting for. And now, they all crowd around there. They’re jam-packed into Peter’s house. «And the power of the Lord was present to heal them,» whoa! We know the story that at the end, only one guy got healed. The guy who was lowered. But the power of the Lord was present to heal them. Another lesson we need to learn is this. It’s not as if God is not supplying. It’s that we are not receiving. And we’re not receiving because many a times, we believe wrong things. We believe our sin stops it, our parents' sin stops it, we are under a generation curse, you know. We believe that we must be extra holy to receive it. A lot of wrong thinking, amen?
So the thing is this, the Lord is saying, amen, that he wants to heal all of them. «The power of the Lord was present to heal them. Behold, men brought on a bed a man who was paralyzed, and they sought to bring in and lay before Him». We can drop down. Now, «They could not find how to bring him in because of the crowd. They went up on the housetop, let him down with his bed through the tiling into the midst before Jesus». It’s very dusty. Picture it, all right. Jesus never offended. You see, faith is never too bold to please God. Faith is something that God is pleased. You know, you can never ask God for more than what he has given us. He gave us his Son. «He that spared not his own Son, how much more will he with him also freely give us all things»?
So you can never ask God too much. He loves it. Faith is coming to him in spite of the fact you know you have failed, in spite of the fact that, you know, you know you have shortcomings. You still come to him. That’s faith! And when you ask him for big things, you honor him. God loves it. God not only loves a cheerful giver, but long before the cheerful giver can be a cheerful giver, God loves and delights in the confident asker. God is looking for confident askers, amen. The more confident you are in asking God, the more God is thrilled with you. God is pleased. He will bypass thousands of people to zero in on the person who is a confident asker. He loves it. Dusty, in the midst. Jesus was preaching in the midst, amen? But he loves it.
«When Jesus saw their faith,» the Bible says. He saw their faith. He didn’t see the interruption. I love it. He doesn’t see, when he looks at you, right, he doesn’t look at all your sins and your shortcomings, and you have plenty of it, so do I. But he sees your faith. Friend, I love you. I feel the love of Jesus for you. And I want you to know right now, believers first, I’m speaking to the believers. I want to tell you, friend, there’s nothing like wrong believing that hinders you from enjoying the best that God has for you. Whether it’s health, healing, wrong believing can hinder you.
And one of the wrong believing is this, that not only you think of others that way, but you think of yourself. Maybe I’ve sinned, maybe I’ve sinned that. No, no, no, if there is a specific one, the Lord will tell you and you will know it, amen? But if not, stop that. Know that your sins are forgiven you. I said know that your sins are forgiven you. That’ll give you power to rise and dominate that condition. And how do you see others? Repent, change your mind, amen? Say, «From now on, I won’t see others as for me to find fault». Try to fill in the blanks. Is it because of this? Is it because of that? Stop it. That is self-righteousness in operation. See the person as a child falling into a well, an ox falling into a pit. Friend, God loves you. Will you embrace that love? And in Jesus’s name, be thou made whole in Jesus’s name. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be safe in thy house.
And those of you who have been watching and you say, «Pastor Prince, I see Jesus. I never thought that, you know, I see a religious Jesus for so many years, but this is the first time I see a Jesus who is so down to earth, yet so heavenly, a Jesus who is approachable, a Jesus who speaks right to my heart». Well, friend, he did more than just all these miracles. He died on the cross for you. He died in your place. And before he hung on that cross, stripe upon stripe upon stripe was laid on his back, that by his stripe you might be healed. The cat-of-nine-tails that the Romans used for their… the flagellum that they used for their scourging, is no joke.
It’s like an octopus with each, with each fine hair of the scourge having thorns, having hooks, having nails, rusty metal pieces. And not only one of that, but cat-o-nine-tails. Many of that, in each branch. And that wrapped around Jesus’s back. Thirty-nine times, most likely that number, they whipped him. Many people died during flagellum, during the beating. Jesus endured to carry the cross all the way to Calvary. No wonder he fell a number of times. And friend, when he hung there on the tree, God took your sins and mine and he died in our place. So believers, right now, reach out to Jesus and say, «Lord, by your stripe, I am healed». And if you’re not a believer, pray this prayer with me right now. Say:
Lord Jesus, you are my Savior. You are my Lord. I believe you died on the cross for my sins and that you rose again for my acquittal, for my righteousness. I believe your blood, your precious blood, washes me clean from every sin. God is now my Father and you are my Lord, in Jesus’s name.
