Let’s get this word! Who’s ready for the word of the Lord? I’m going to say this again, let’s get this word! Who’s ready for the word of the Lord? Did anybody else, for those who are watching online, I have to say this: it’s an uncommonly beautiful day in the Greenville-Spartanburg Upstate region. For those who came to church driving through this beautiful weather, I want to tell you thank you. Can you all hear me? Let me tell you why.
I’m reading the most recent statistics about church attendance in the United States. In the 1990s, over 90% of this country claimed to be Christian. At this point, it’s trending closer to 50%. Watch this: regular church attendance, which is classified by American data — those who collect data-is two times a month. That’s regular, and that number is at 21%. 21% of this country attends maybe twice a month. 9% of those who are of the 21% go every week or almost every week. I said, «I got a nine.» I am so blessed to have a nine because nine is the fruit of the Spirit. There are nine fruits of the Spirit and I believe that’s what we’re producing in our disciples.
I want to let you all know what it means for you all to take time out, especially when the weather’s beautiful like it is today. It’s the middle of August, it’s a hot 72° outside with a few clouds, and y’all chose to drive through beautiful weather to come into this room. So the last thing I’m going to do is waste your time with some foolishness. You’re going to get this word, and the devil is going to catch this fade! Is anybody ready to do some battle today?
I’m going to ask again. Dave, I don’t know what’s going on-it’s a demon in the field- turn me up a little bit. Today is going to be just one of those Sundays, so tell somebody, «It’s just going to be one of them Sundays.» So scoot in, scoot in, scoot in! Get closer to a couple of your cousins, and maybe some of y’all in the balcony, if you want, come down. I know why y’all be up there, because y’all want to scoot out right at the end, but I got a trick for you this time, 'cause I already done locked the doors. It’s a fire hazard! I’m playing, I’m not crazy, I ain’t locking no doors. It’s free will; you leave when you want, you come and go as you want.
But I’m ready to bring the word, but I’m going to need to know if I’m in a church full of casual observers or worshippers. I’m not sure, 'cause y’all -alright, casual observers! Somebody clapped like, «Yes! I cannot wait to leave the same way I came in!» Where the crazy folks at? Where the crazy? I need y’all to make a tribal sound. Go ahead, just make it from whatever tribe. If you’re from the tribe of Judah, then make a sound. If you’re from the tribe of Benjamin, make a sound!
Alright, I’m getting ready to read this word. Unless you are a seasoned saint, a senior citizen-level saint, or you’re holding a baby or you roll in here, I’m asking for you to stand. I' ll never forget one time I was a young pastor, I was like, «Tell that man to stand!» He couldn’t see; he’s not able to stand yet, but it’ll humble you when you come on. Everybody say that’s the young preacher’s mistake!
I’m filled up today. My daughter sang «Joyful, Joyful,» and sweetheart, you did a wonderful job! Your daddy’s proud of you. Okay, I don’t know how this is going to go, but I’m going to need a couple of y’all at some point, so Pastor Johnny, Pastor Mike, y’all be ready, okay? I need you to go to Exodus 17, 'cause I’m coming after the enemy today.
You know we have too many casual Christians. They just want to go to church and live a regular life, but at some point, you need to know that the devil is not playing with you, so you can’t play with him. My little nephew was in a fender bender; it could have been much worse, but he’s in service today, and I thank God for my little nephew MJ because I know the enemy wants young men like him. He’s got a pure heart, he loves God, he’s serious about scripture. When he asks me questions about scripture, I have to call him back, 'cause he’s asking deep stuff like, «Tell me the Greek and the Hebrew meanings behind this particular Old Testament narrative!» I was like, «You don’t want to play no video games or nothing; you just going straight to the Hebrew!»
On Exodus 17, we’re at the eighth verse. Exodus 17, tell somebody I’m about to start something now. Amalek came and fought with Israel in Rephidim, and Moses said to Joshua, «Choose us some men-not no little boys, not no scared little boys-go out and fight!» And Moses said to Joshua, «Choose us some men who know how to fight.» I’m so tired of churches trying to demasculate and emasculate men. Men are tired of having to be less than what we are to fit in the church culture.
We like football, we like chicken wings, we like root beer-without the root! But what I’m saying is I don’t drink beer because it don’t taste good, but God knows if it tasted good, I’d be in a program with 12 steps. God knows what you’re dealing with! I’m tired of the church not letting men be men. We don’t worship like women; we don’t have the emotions of women. We have our own emotions that God created for us. We don’t have as many words as y’all; that’s why when y’all are going off on us, we just be standing there, and you’re like, «Why you sitting there looking stupid?» I’m like, «I’mma ask this one time, where the men at?»
Okay, I’mma ask one more time, 'cause I like the sound of that! I see my man in the back; you got on your pink lint today, so you’re not going to bark; you’re going to be like, «No!» Where the men at? Men carry a different sound, and God is actually responding to warriors in this season. Now here’s the thing-it don’t take but a little spark for the women of God to go off.
Watch this, ladies! Are you crazy? Alright, let me try this one more time: fellas, where the men at? Let me say this: this church got some mighty men of God! I’m grateful for my church 'cause we got real men. We ashy in the elbows, you understand? We sweat. We are real dudes. We go fishing, we bowl, we play spades, we slap the table when we get the big and the little Joker! You know about it; where the fellas at? God wants some men; He doesn’t want boys! He don’t want scared!
If you scared, Beyoncé said call that reverend! If you scared, call that reverend! But Love Story Church raises up mighty men of God! We got to be mighty 'cause we got some Proverbs 31 women! That’s a real problem for the devil in this church! Where are the women of God that are prayer warriors? Where are the women of God that know how to worship? Where are the women of God that wish a devil would come after your family? Where are the intercessors? Where are the prophetic women?
I need you to hear me! God says, «I need y’all to intercede while I raise up the men to their rightful place,» 'cause men have been silenced and muted and have been told they are not necessary. That is a lie from the devil! Exodus 17, it’s time to get some men, and I don’t want anybody-I want men now! I want men with some tattoos, men with some issues and history that blink a little bit, men who been through some things.
Watch this: He said, «Choose us some men and go out!» It’s time to fight the devil! Amalek! Tomorrow, I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hands. So Joshua did as Moses said to him and fought with Amalek, and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses' hands became heavy, because no matter who you are, no matter how well you lead, sometimes leaders get tired. People don’t know how much it costs when your heart stays pure, when you see wickedness all around and people plotting and planning and lying, and God says, «Don’t say a word; keep your mouth closed!»
But I want to fight! I want to do something! He said, «Uh-uh! Vengeance is mine; I will repay!» I don’t care how much you love God, you get tired of people lying on you. You get tired of people talking about you! This town is too small! You’re smiling in my face, but I know what you said! And I still gotta be Christlike, because that’s where your character grows!
Oh God, watch this! So his hands became heavy, so they took a stone and put it under Moses, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side and the other on the other side, and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. Tell somebody, «Pack a lunch!»
I’m tired of y’all thinking deliverance is going to take three minutes! I want to talk to some people that know sometimes some devils ain’t letting go! You going to have to fight all day, all night! I’m talking about intercede. I ain’t talking about sitting there saying, «Lord, I just ask that you please help my son to get delivered!» Now, devil, I bind you right now in the name of Jesus!
Rash! I need somebody that knows how to pray in the spirit! Fight in the spirit! War in the spirit! Is there anybody that has the stamina to see this thing through to the end? So Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. Then the Lord said to Moses, «Write this for a memorial in the book and recount in the hearing of Joshua that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven!»
And Moses built an altar and called the name of the altar, «The Lord is my banner,» Jehovah Nissi. Watch this! He didn’t call God Jehovah Nissi; he called the altar Jehovah. I’m going somewhere, just stay with your pastor. For he said, «Because the Lord has sworn, the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation!»
What does this mean, Elder Rowena? It means that some devils are going to try to come back for the next generation, which means we fight and train the next generation to fight! And don’t assume, because you won one victory, that the war is over- that was one battle! But now the enemy’s like, «I didn’t get John! Well, let me try to get his son!»
I’mma be here’til the day there’s no more breath in and out of these lungs, and I’mma train my son and my daughter to serve God, live for God, and fight for the holy things of God. And prayerfully, if I live my life right, I will have sown enough seed into their ground that when they have their own children and grandchildren, they will raise them up as well to declare the word of God and the preeminence of Jesus Christ as the only way to the Father!
Are there any people in here that say, «As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.» When his hands were lifted, Israel prevailed; when his hands went down, Amalek prevailed. The title of my message for today is The Tiebreaker!
You can be seated, Sister Kristen. Yes, sir, you blessed our house this morning! I want to thank you and your husband and your daughter for being here. This is my first time meeting you, and I’ve been in this industry a long time-since 1995, professionally as far as music and ministry; 30 years. And next month, on September 27, it will be 30 years of ministry for me-30 years!
And I watched you stand up here with a level of maturity and foundational discernment. You understood what the atmosphere needed; you did not come here to be seen. You did not come here to be a star. You didn’t wear sunglasses at night. You have God’s heart; you also have his hand. You also have his wind at your back. Heaven is getting ready to whistle in your direction so that resources can get to you. God is breathing in your direction to push the wind in your sails. You, Joshua, your husband, and your daughter are getting ready to see your greatest days! You didn’t have to come to service this morning; you could have waited until the event tonight.
You pressed your way when you could have been getting rest, but you needed a word, not rest, because it is a word that destroys the yoke. It is a word that breaks chains. It is a word that unlocks the supernatural! So, you coming here to honor this young man’s 10 years in radio is not just about radio. What QL is is an attack against what the enemy thought belonged to him, because Satan is the prince of the power of the air, and radio is airwaves.
So when QL is on the air, he’s waging war! And when you sing, you hit airwaves and you hit demons! There are demons that are deeply afraid of you and are more terrified that you will come into the full understanding of what you carry. But I’m here to tell you today that heaven has decided to back you in ways that you have never seen! Your family hasn’t even put on your prayer board what God’s getting ready to bring-you have no clue! But it just shifted and broke in your favor!
You should check by your feet, because there’s a flood coming! Somebody on your road needs to worship with her! Cheryl, that’s for you too! Q, that’s for you too! Elder Odom, that’s for you too! When you go to the streets and get these young men, and get these homeless people, and get these drug addicts-Elder Odom, you’re going to have a different power! You’re going to lay hands, and they will recover on the spot in the name of Jesus!
Elder Pastor Junius, your studio is going to drop million — selling records within months! I’m prophesying! Elder T, your businesses-favor, abundance, increase, overflow! You know what I’m talking about-the expansion of the empire! I hear the Lord using the word «empire» to describe what’s coming to you, your husband, and your house! Empire-level anointing! I’m shifting; things have shifted in this service!
I need somebody to pray for me, 'cause the prophecy is on me! There’s oil under my feet! Something has broken in this place! I need a couple of people just to press with me; something has broken in this place! I need somebody that will worship right now! Don’t ask questions; don’t wonder why! And if you’re wise, please don’t leave, something has shifted online! You need to; I want you to keep worshiping! I’m going online, live online right now because somebody online is getting ready to walk in supernatural authority!

Richard, I declare favor and blessings and overflow on your job! Unexpected elevation, a new role, a new position-Vice President, COO, CEO! I prophesy it all the way in Westchester, Ohio, and it shall be as I say!

'Cause I don’t care how saved you are-sometimes you get tired! But I’m here to tell you today, you got help! You’ve got the paraclete! You’ve got the Holy Ghost that will lift your arms and give you fresh wind! I need somebody to lift your arms until your biceps hurt! Just lift your hands! Now with your hands lifted, add a praise from your mouth and just say, «God, you are worthy! God, You Are Holy!»
I just need you to trust me! God, you are worthy! If you can do it from a seated position, do that too! 'Cause Moses, at one point, had to sit down! But he didn’t stop worshiping! So whether I’m standing or sitting, I can still be in position! Is there anybody in position? Tell somebody, «Get in position!»
I’m going to give you 18 more seconds; this is it, this is your last chance! Pastor Tiffany, this is it! You need to give God a praise from your position-a worship that turns the tide of the battle! Oh, help me God! Are there any worshippers in the room? Any worshippers in the room?
I said are there any worshippers in the room? Watch what happens when I tell you why you’re doing what you’re doing! Because something hangs in the balance, and your worship breaks the tie! They missed it! Pastor Aventer, put this in the chat feed and say it out loud-worship breaks the tie! I need you to say it; then I need you to do it-worship breaks the tie!
God, you’re going to have to help me in here! Warren, I need you to go on and fight and worship on behalf of what God’s bringing to your mama, 'cause your mama had to retire and get some rest! So this next season, this next seven years of her being an entrepreneur-you know, with a B behind her name, not an M. M is easy; a million is easy. B-that’s a whole another level!
She needed some rest before she went into that! But Warren, it’s going to come to you! That’s why it’s important who you choose to marry! You don’t need a gold digger; you need a gold multiplier! That’s what your mama was praying! I know it, and she didn’t tell me, but she prayed for your spouse! That she would have the right heart, the right sentiment, the right spirit-that she would not be greedy and all about self, that she would understand your anointing!
And she would be a multiplier! When you get married, I speak gold-level multiplication! That you are a wealth generator in Jesus' name! Alright, I’m supposed to be preaching! Somebody say, «Break the tie!» Say, «Break the tie!»
See, I’m not asking God to break the tie! God’s asking me to break the tie! God could have given victory to Israel, but He said, «Moses, I’m going to need you to lift your hands!» Oh my God! Let’s rehash this real quick so we can get into it! Amalek came and fought with Israel in Rephidim. Amalek means «dweller in the valley"-came and fought with Israel! You have contended with God and with man and have prevailed!
Israel means «prince with God!» So a valley dweller wanted to fight with a prince of God in Rephidim! Rephidim means «rest» or «place of rest.» And so there’s always somebody beneath you who wants to keep you from getting to a place of rest! Now I’m preaching better than you’re responding! Did you hear what I said? Every battle in this season is for your peace! It’s not for your money, it’s not for your job, it’s for your peace!
Because if he can get your peace, he can get your sleep! And if he can get your sleep, he can get your health! Oh, help me! So that’s why God is saying, «I need you to worship and then go to bed!» 'Cause when you worship, you broke the tie, and then I’ve got to show up and handle what you can’t handle! Amalek is a valley dweller; that’s why God needs to ask the Holy Spirit to show you who Amalek is in your life!
First of all, here’s the thing-some of y’all already know who Amalek is or who Amalek’s are. You got a couple people in your life that no matter what you do, they always bring you down! When you see their text, you’re like, «Not this fool again!» When you see their name on your phone, «Jesus Christ! What they need now?»
Those people that drain you like that, God is saying, «Give them to me! You’re not their God! You’re not their Source! I need you to focus!» Tell somebody, «Focus!» But when necessary, you’re going to have to fight Amalek! Because there’s always somebody that’s going to try to keep you down! You got to fight to stay who you are! I’m a prince with God! I am Israel! We’re going to fight right here, and it’s always going to be in Rephidim! You’re fighting for your rest!
So watch this! Help me, Holy Ghost! Moses says, «I’m going to the top of the hill!» And the Bible says they were fighting, but as Moses lifted his hands, Israel prevailed! But when his hands went down, because he got tired, what happened? Amalek prevailed! Which means Moses' worship was literally not optional! I don’t know who, where the devil has tricked you into thinking that getting to the house of God is optional, but my worship is not optional!
I have too many devils to fight to play with this thing! If these doors are open, I' m going to be there! If they’re preaching Jesus, I' m going to stay there! If I know the Holy Ghost is in the building, I’m going to be in that atmosphere! Tell somebody to stay in the house! Thank you, Holy Ghost! Man of God, what’s your name?
Say it again-D’Angelo! There’s an anointing on your life-there’s an anointing on your life for leadership! Are you a pastor? You’re a preacher? Have we met? When? Huh? Friday! Where were we? At the movies! Columbus, Ohio-Franklin County! Part of Love Story Online came in for your birthday and are in the house today!
So, what you’re telling me is that when I get weary, I need to be encouraged 'cause I don’t even know who I’m fighting for sometimes! But every now and then, God will send who you were fighting for, praying for, interceding for, and will show up so that you can see that your labor was not in vain! Somebody worship God with me, and I need you to go freaking crazy in here!
I need somebody to lift up a crazy, crazy, crazy-no, that’s not crazy! I’m trying! Pastor Mike, I feel my help! I feel my strength! Oh, bre, something is literally breaking right now! I’m fighting, Elder! I’m fighting! I feel it! And I got my strength! I feel it! Devil, you can’t have none of these kids! You can’t have these young people! You can’t have the schools they go to! You can’t have the people that they’ll date! You can’t have who they’re going to marry!
And they’re not going to get married for another 15 years, but you can’t have them now! Wherever their spouses are, we cover them now in the name of Jesus! Did you hear what I said? I pray right now for their professors in college when they’re in the third grade! I’m still praying 15 years into the future! Help me, Holy Ghost!
Oh Lord, help me! Help me! Help me! Alright! Somebody say, «Break the tie!» Put it in the chat feed-break the tie! Break the tie! So if Moses' worship was non-negotiable, that means that my worship is not just an exercise in emotion! But it is a tool in warfare- y’all didn’t hear what I said! So for people who get mad at you because you always shout, you always pray, you always got your hand lifted, it’s because I’m always battling some demon and I’m always battling some issue or some hater, or I’m always fighting against a generational curse.
Do you know why I worship how I worship? Because the devil got my granddaddy! The devil got my daddy! The devil got my uncles! And the devil came after me! Tried to destroy my manhood, my ministry, my marriage! And I participated until I came to myself and woke up! And I remember that M. Davis, my mama’s mama, was praying for me! Wrote it down in a journal years ago that John Gray II would be a man of God! That Alice Gray was on her knees praying when I was out in the streets trying to be hood!
But I’m not hood 'cause I’m all good! I am the product of prayer warriors! When the enemy was winning, their prayers broke the tie! I don’t know who this is for, don’t stop praying for your kids! Your prayers are breaking the tie! Your tears are breaking the tie! Your worship is breaking the tie! Somebody shout, «The Tiebreaker!»
I don’t just come here to shout to impress you! I don’t care if you like me! I’m here to do business with the King! Help me, Holy Ghost! The Bible says that they lifted Moses' arms! Pastor Johnny, Pastor Mike, come here please! Somebody grab my arm! Pastor Mike, come grab this other arm! With one hand, grab me here! Lift this arm here and put the mic right here!
I' m going to do this, and you put the mic right here! This is the posture while Love Story fights! This is my posture! This is what you don’t see at 3:00 and 4:00 in the morning when He wakes me up and I can’t sleep! I’m fighting for people I don’t even know sometimes! I’m fighting for people that don’t even like me! But that is not my issue! My issue is, are my hands up?
I gotta keep my hands up! But the first point that’s about to be on the board is super important: you can’t lift the arms of someone whose heart you don’t honor. Hallelujah! Don’t lift my arms if you don’t have my heart! Don’t smile in my face when you’ve been on a text feed trying to kill me! Be who you are at all times!
And I’mma be who I am at all times! I’m not a pastor, I’m not a singer, I’m not a prophet, or a preacher first! I’m a worshipper first! Where are the worshippers? My identity is in who I worship! I need y’all to keep my arms up! And what you don’t know is, because this arm is the one that’s broken and is still healing, it’s in pain right now! But the pain is not as acute because someone’s lifting my arm! Hallelujah!
And because I’ve had to favor the right arm, there’s a pinched nerve! So now this one feels like it’s asleep most of the time! But I still fight! Because war is not convenient! Does anybody hear what I’m saying? I’m trying to wake up the people in the balcony! Stop coming in here casual!
There are devils counting on you to be casual, but you are literally one radical moment of worship away from God breaking the tie! I need you to go after it like you’re 8 seconds away from deliverance! 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1- praise! Holy Ghost! Somebody say, «Break the tie! Break the tie!»
Point number two: for all my worshippers, worship is a language your enemy cannot understand or speak! God is spirit, and those who worship must worship in spirit and in truth! So everything that’s true about me is not good, but God still wants it! That’s only for those of us who’ve ever been in bondage, ever been addicted, ever struggled with anything, ever failed, ever messed up on one of them Ten Commandments, or seven of them, or all of them!
But I need you to know there’s blood for all of them in the name of Jesus! The people that worship the loudest are also often the ones who got delivered from the most! Oh! You wouldn’t ask me why I shout like this if you knew what I came from! You wouldn’t ask me why I worship like this if you knew what God delivered me from! If you knew what He protected me from! If you knew what He saved me from! You wouldn’t ask why I worship like this!
You’d join me! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Ask somebody to join me; say, «Join me in worship!» Join me! Hallelujah! I said worship is a language! I said worship is a language that the enemy cannot understand! That’s why when you pray in the spirit, the enemy is completely terrified and confused!
Because in order to translate prayer language, you have to have the Holy Ghost! And Satan doesn’t have the Holy Ghost! That’s why you need to pray in the Holy Ghost! Because that language is foreign to the enemy! Hallelujah! Listen to me! The enemy doesn’t understand worship, because worship requires humility! Hallelujah! And he is the king of pride!
Help me, Holy Ghost! Are you hearing what I’m saying? God says your worship is actually a weapon! And it is a language that your enemy cannot understand! He can’t speak it! When he fell to the Earth from heaven, anything on him that was utilized for worship was released into the Earth! That’s why God created man from the dust of the earth, so the elements of worship were inside the dust!
So when He created Adam and breathed into his nostrils, He created a new worshipper! That’s why Satan hates you so much! It’s not just because you’re the image of God! It’s because you get to worship God, and he can never worship again! He’ll never get his place back!
But we have been made to sit in heavenly places with Christ Jesus! Are there any worshippers in here? Hallelujah! Find five people! Tell them let’s go higher! Let’s go higher! Let’s go higher! High five five people! Tell them, «Let’s go higher!» Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
I got to drop my water; that’s expensive water, it’s gone! Jesus! Oh Lord, not my Voss Nestlé water, Jesus! You can let that spill-not the Voss! I don’t think y’all saw Sister Kristen; she down here like this here; she got on the sweatsuit like, «What devil? I wish a devil would!» See, that’s the kind of-I’m sorry we need!
But what you don’t know-that’s who Love Story is! We got a real sweet tender name, but we crazy around here! Oh, we a crazy church! We love God, and we crazy! We war in the spirit; we play zero games!
Watch this-I am also now here to debunk this myth that if you’re a worshipper, somehow you’re not intellectual, you’re just emotional! Point number three: worship is not exclusively emotional! It requires intellect! What does that mean? I know who I’m worshipping! I choose to worship! I choose to lift my hands! I choose to wave my hand! I choose to shout glory! I choose to dance!
I choose it out of my intellect! So I will never attribute to the Holy Spirit dishonor or disorganization! I’m not going to swing my arm and hit a brother or sister in Christ in the face and then say, «I’m sorry; that was the Holy Ghost!» No, that wasn’t the Holy Ghost; that was you out of position!
Don’t blame your inability to be intellectually connected to your worship, and blame that on the Holy Ghost! Don’t be foaming at the mouth and rolling on the ground saying that’s the Holy Ghost! No, it isn’t; that sounds like possession! And the Holy Ghost doesn’t possess anybody!
The Holy Ghost enables; the Holy Ghost empowers! But He does not possess! Only Satan possesses! But he can’t possess a believer! He can fight a believer! He can oppress a believer! But he can’t possess a believer! 'Cause the Holy Ghost is already in here! And wherever the Holy Ghost is, the devil is not! Tell somebody, «I choose to worship! I choose to worship!»
Oh, here’s another one for you. It says, «I’m out of time!» Thank you for that! It does not matter; I’m going to preach it like the Lord gave it to me! Point number four-and whoever put it on the monitor, tell them to take it down! Amen, there it is! It’s gone, it magically disappeared!
Have you ever seen somebody that gets upset when you’ve worshipped? No! Talk to me! You ever been worshipping, you look over, and you’re like, «You coming down?» Oh, thank you, Jesus! Thank you, Jesus! And they’re over there like, «Whatever!» This next point is for the people who are staring you down while you’re fighting for your family in worship!
This next point is for the people who think they know better than you what you need to be doing with your hands, your feet, your words, and your tears! Point number four: My worship wasn’t talking to you! Come down here, man, and bring the young people with you! I need some young men at the altar!
I said, «My worship wasn’t talking to you!» The next time somebody looks at you crazy, just be like, «My worship wasn’t talking to you!» They’ll be like, «What? What? What?» What did you say? «Nothing; I’m not here for you! I’m glad you’re here with me, but I’m not here for you! I’m here to get to God! My worship is to God because the miracle I need is from God! And my worship gets His attention!»
You don’t believe me? Talk to me, Bartimaeus! I can’t even see you! I just heard you walking by! Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me! Could you please shut up? Can you please be quiet?! He’s not coming to stop by to talk to anybody like you!
The Bible said he got louder! «Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!» And the only one recorded in that scripture that got a breakthrough and a miracle was the one that was loud enough to not care what people think!
Are there any Bartimaeuses in the room? That’s a Bartimaeus! That’s not a Bartimaeus! That’s a-I’m still nervous about what has happened! I don’t want to shout too loud; I might fart. Just let it out and then blame it on your neighbor! Just wave it over there!
Rashad, come here! Move quick! Come over here, Rashad! Right here, right here! Stand right here on the edge of this altar! How long you been going to this church? Six years! You’ve been serving, leading in worship, praying, interceding, fighting, encouraging, and admonishing! I just happen to know that in this season of your life, there’s a battle!
But when you are a worshipper, your worship breaks the tie! What looks like I don’t have the provision for, God has! But He only gives it to worshippers! I like your posture right now; you caught it! And so the moment your hands go up, provision has to come to you! Now, keep your hands up, and I want you to begin to bless God!
Because there are about 300 people that are going to sow into you right now, and your battle will be over in the next 10 minutes! So there are people that are getting ready to sow! Boom! Just like that! Boom! Just like that! Boom! Just like that! No, leave it! No, AB! He needs to worship! His hands need to go up! Because as his hands are up, provision shall go up!
As your hands go up, the word is released! I’m looking for any worshippers in here that need God to move right now! Now, if you believe that I’m a man of God and you believe that I hear from God, this is an example! Lift his hands until- y’all Moving too slow! This is too formal! Hold on! I love y’all! Come out of the way! Come out of the way!
You come here and stand here and worship so these people can bless you! There you go! Jesus, help them! Hallelujah! Y’all don’t hear what I’m saying! Now here’s something, Brother Joshua, that’s going to bless you! We already had our offering moment! But because he’s worshipping and his hands are up, there are people that are moving in his direction because whatever they’re sowing was connected to his yes in worship!
If his hands weren’t lifted, provision wouldn’t have-Hallelujah! So as this is happening for him, what you don’t know is, while you’re doing this, God is doing that for you! You’re going to hear about it at work tomorrow! You might have a message on your phone after the service! You don’t understand-I had a need that nobody knew about! And one of my elders reached out last-it said, «You blessed my soul with the word; I’m going to sow a seed!»
She had no clue that that was the seed that was able to provide a miracle place of provision for me and my family! She had no clue, and I ain’t even had a chance to tell her! But when you are a worshipper, you don’t have to tell anything else! They missed that! If you just worship, God knows how to whisper to somebody with the answer to your prayer attached!
Where are the worshippers? Are you ready to leave? What if I got a couple more points for you? Point number five-this is for my hood Love Story! This is for the streets! This is for the ones you know you put your pre-roll behind your ear! Moses was on the top of the mountain; he was the tiebreaker! His worship broke the tie! Did you hear what I said?
Point number five: If the enemy comes back, they going to catch these hands! Linton, I don’t know if they understood! There’s a couple more people that are supposed to sow into this young man! Get over there and sow into him, please! Watch this! I need somebody to say, «Devil, keep playing! You going to catch these hands!» You going to catch these hands!
Watch this! But we wrestle not against flesh and blood! So when I say catch these hands, I’m not talking about hitting you with a physical! I’m talking about throwing my hands up in praise! Because when I throw my hands up in praise, my Father shows up! Some of us know what it’s like when somebody’s bothering you-that’s a bully that’s bigger than you-and you call for your daddy!
When your daddy shows up, them folks scatter like roaches! I need you to know, as it is in the natural, so it is in the spirit that your enemies going to scatter like roaches as you throw your hands up and your heavenly Father shows up on the scene! Hall Tyler just got another prophetic impartation; that’s what his tears were just elevated!
Tyler again, the anointing of God is on Tyler to prophesy and preach the word! The anointing of discernment is on him, so he cries when he feels the presence of God! Brian, rest well knowing that your son has a double portion of your anointing! He’s a mighty man of God! He’s a supernatural leader! There’s a reason why his dad and your dad are close! The way y’all going to be brothers, we’re brothers! Y’all are going to take what we give y’all and y’all going to run and multiply it! Did you hear what I said? That’s why I got to keep fighting, 'cause the devil not taking me! He going to catch these hands, you understand?
And God’s going to get this worship! Hallelujah! I’m getting ready to change something! Now here, listen to me-every now and then, you need Aaron and Hur to lift your hands in worship! Because sometimes, if I could just get one or two, 'cause by the power of two, a matter is established-exactly! Scripture says two is better than one! And a threefold cord is not easily broken!
I need to know if you’ll get in groups of two or three right now and I need you to go ahead and worship like the person in your group needs your strength, your grace! And if you need a couple more people, get a praise group! Get three, four, or five! And I need y’all to- but only if you’re going to worship! If you ain’t going to worship, then sit down!
I’m not judging you! If you’re around some people that are seated, maybe they’re visitors, you be their worshipper! You worship for them! I want you to go ahead and bless-watch this! Why? Because Paul and Silas were praying and singing praises to God! And immediately the foundations of the prison were shaken, and everyone’s bands were loosed! Paul and Silas-two people worshipping- broke the chains off of everybody around them!
Hallelujah! Do you know that you worshipping right there is going to bring freedom to somebody online? Do you know your worship online is giving freedom to somebody in this room? Do you know your worship right now is going to follow you for the rest of your life? Hallelujah! John, pray; don’t wait, just pray! Thank you, Jesus!
Watch this! Ron, Moses lifted his hands, and they prevailed against Amalek! But then God said, «Write this down for Joshua!» 'Cause Moses, when you gone, he’s going to need to remember: Amalek’s coming back! But as many times as he comes back, I’mma be right here, and we gonna fight for generations! And he going to lose every time because worship breaks the tie!
I said worship breaks the tie! And as long as my hands are lifted, it breaks the tie! Now I’m getting ready to close here, but I feel the Holy Ghost, Pastor Mike! Because I need you to know Moses lifted his hands, and Israel prevailed! But there’s a New Testament man that lifted his hands on a cross! That’s what I need a couple deacons for; y’all missed it!
When Jesus lifted his hands, I prevailed! I prevailed and got free from sin! I got free from death, hell, and the grave, and my past, and my present, and future issues! Jesus lifted his hands and gave me victory! That’s why He said, «It is finished!»
Hallelujah! You got to understand Jesus began quoting David on the cross! «My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?» But you need to read the rest of that Psalm! Right around the 11th verse, it shifts, and he says, «God, you’ve given me victory!»
I believe that’s the moment where Yeshua said, «It’s finished! I got victory! It looked like you left me, but I realized my hands had to be stretched out so that the people could get victory! Because as long as my hands are stretched, sin can’t win! As long as my hands are stretched, death can’t win! As long as my hands are stretched, hell can’t win! As long as I’m stretched out on this cross with my hands up, Jesus, worship broke the tie!
Watch this! He’s the tiebreaker! But not only is He the tiebreaker, He broke the ties that were holding me! Broke the chains off me! Broke the habits off me! Broke the sin off me! Gave me a freedom I couldn’t have on my own! Is there anybody else that’s grateful for the finished work of the cross and the preeminence of Jesus Christ?
There is no other head of the church-just Jesus, by himself! He doesn’t need me! He doesn’t need you! He doesn’t need none of these fancy bishops! None of these preachers! If all of them left today, God would still be God! Thank you! Thank you both! I love y’all! Did you hear what I said?
And let me tell you something about real worship! 'Cause real worship ain’t about what you can get from God! Your worship must never have a motive! You don’t worship God to get things; you worship God because He is God! Uh-oh! There it is! I said you worship Him because He’s God! Not because of what He gives you! That’s what we learned from Job!
Job lost everything-everything! His hands went up when he was doing good! His hands went up when all hell broke loose! His hands went up! My question to you is, are you a situational worshipper? Or are you a 24/7 Waffle House? Open 24/7, every day of the year, all day, 15 times a day!
You’re going to get this worship, whether you give me what I want! Whether you answer my prayer, God, I bless You! You are worthy! You are the only one! The Bible says Moses sat on the stone! The word „stone“ in that scripture translates to the Rock, which points to Jesus! Moses literally sat in the foundation of Jesus Christ to lift his hands to victory!
You can’t get victory without Jesus! You can’t get freedom without Jesus! You can’t get to heaven without Jesus! And then he called him the altar-Jehovah Nissi! God is my banner! Are there any sports fanatics in here today? Is 82-24-24 Kobe Day? 'Cause his numbers were 8 and 24! They raised five banners-championship banners! Five that Kobe got! You don’t raise banners for losing!
Alright, what Moses was saying is, „God, you my banner! I’m raising the flag to let these people know we got another championship because of You!“ When you raise a banner, you’re letting people know, „I’m with them! I rock with them! I rock this jersey because my God is the God who gives victory!“
Are there any people here that have the banner of God over their lives? Everybody is standing! Just like I told y’all, the Saints in the balcony are scooching already! I love them! And they’re like, „Just hurry, go, go!“ Hands lifted! Some of y’all are going to be like later on, „Why am I sore?“ That’s full contact worship!
But what you don’t know is that that worship actually broke chains off your life! You may not even see it yet, but I’m here to tell you it’s real! Oh Lord! Somebody shout the tiebreaker! Hold on! Pastor, something very strange and sacred is happening!
When I was a little boy, I sang in the choir every week, singing the song of the Lord! There was no YouTube, there was no TV, there was no-nobody cared about the metrics and who was famous and how many followers you got! I got to-I had a million followers on Instagram-and some people unfollowed! And that’s actually-I get it! Because people choose who they follow and who they don’t!
The beautiful thing is, it just doesn’t matter! I don’t care about any of that! One day I’m going to see God face to face, and I’m going to have to give an account for my family and then for this church! I don’t care about being viral; I care about being faithful! There is, in this moment, there’s a sweet, sweet Spirit in this place!
And I know that it’s the spirit of the Lord! There are sweet expressions on each face, and I know that it’s the presence of the Lord! There are people in this room who need to break the tie! You’ve been in the middle! It’s time to get out of the middle! Break the tie! Come to the altar; give your life to Jesus!
Is that you, sir? Somebody just broke the tie! Who else? Who else? Bring yourself! Bring your issues! Bring your black-and-milds! Bring your tattoos! Bring your weed! Bring yourself! There’s no judgment! I bet you if you keep your hands lifted, it’ll break the tie!
I said if you keep your hands lifted, come here, babies now! Come up here! Here you go! How you doing? How old is she? There’s a three-year-old right here with her hands lifted! She’s breaking the tie! Bring them to the front! No, no, no! Bring- I want to see the harvest! What’s up, king? Girl, what you doing? Come on, bring your boy too! Hold your mama’s hand!
Keep her covered! Oh, and now, now you become a soul winner, huh? Now you becoming a soul winner, bringing people to Christ! You already saved! You already filled! And I don’t know why you feel- listen, you can come to this altar every Sunday if you want, if that makes you feel better! But whom the Son sets free is free indeed! You ain’t got to come here every week!
You ain’t getting saved every week! You got saved once! We ain’t taking your information! You can lift your hands because your life is never going to be the same! But I know what it’s like when you battled with addiction and you don’t know if that thing is gone for good! It doesn’t matter! You got angels fighting for you!
And when I am weak, then I am strong! Because His strength is made perfect and complete in my weakness! Yeah, man! Welcome home! Welcome home! That’s right, man! Break the tie! That man is worshiping! I’m proud of you! Hear me, I’m proud of you! An amazing young man!
See, this is it! With your right hand, one day it’s going to be yours! You hear me? And you are well able to do more with this than I! Look over there! Look at your dad! I love you, man! I love you more than-and all of this, you’re more important than this church! You and your sister and your mama are more important than this church! More important than these pews! More important than social media!
I don’t care about none of that! I care about your soul, your sister, and your mama! That’s what matters to God! And I’m saying it in front of these people 'cause this ain’t no game! This ain’t no show! I love you, and I’m proud of you, and I believe in you! I speak life to you!
Don’t look out there! I’m-You, my son! L! Give me three of them! Ask, „Is there anybody else? Is there anybody else who wants to give their life to Jesus? It’s the best decision that y’all could ever make!“ Won’t you come? Say just one more, just one more! Let’s go!
I need you to know that your worship broke the tie today! Everybody at this altar and everybody that’s at home and online who just gave their lives to Jesus, lift your hands! Repeat after me! Lord Jesus, it’s me! It’s me! I confess with my mouth and believe in my heart that Jesus is Lord! Thank you for the blood that was shed for me!
I receive the free gift of salvation not through my works, but the finished work of the cross! The blood is enough to pay for all my sins! Now, Holy Spirit, come live inside and teach me how to be more like Jesus each and every day! You are my Savior and my Lord! In Jesus' name, amen!
