John Bradshaw - The Right Kind of Person
What kind of person does it take to impact the world? When Gideon was chosen by God to lead Israel out from under the oppressive rule of the Midianites, his army of 32,000 was whittled all the way down to 300.
Those that were left, were the right kind of people. The fearful had returned to their homes, those who put their own comfort first had been sent home as well, those remaining were smaller number but they were big in faith, they were the right kind of people.
Judges 7:22 says, "And the three hundred blew the trumpets,... and the host fled". It was impressive that God wanted to signal victory using only 300 men, but it's important to remember they were the right kind of men, they had faith in God, real faith, they believed God was able.
